If you deal with oily skin, clogged pores, and acne, you’ve probably been looking for a solution for a long time.
You’re definitely not alone. Many people struggle to manage their oily skin. And it’s no wonder. That oiliness occurs when your skin produces too much of the natural oil called “sebum.” There are tons of products out there that promise to help you wash away that excess sebum. However, a lot of those products contain harsh chemicals that remove too
much oil, leaving your skin dehydrated.
And what does dehydrated skin do?
It produces more. Dang. Oil.
For anyone dealing with oily skin and acne, skin care is a delicate balance. You need to find the exact right products with the exact right ingredients for the exact right routine.
On the plus side, all this exact-rightness is totally achievable. You just need a few pointers like these:
Oiliness occurs when your skin over-produces sebum. This oil is wonderful in moderation. Sebum is responsible for making your skin soft and supple. In excess, however, more sebum results in bigger oil glands, bigger pores, and a build-up of oil on the surface of the skin. As we know all-too-well, the next steps are 1) clogged pores and 2) acne.
So why does your skin produce more sebum than it needs?
It really depends on your unique situation. It may simply be genetic. Oily skin and acne can also result from hormonal changes due to your period, lifestyle, or pregnancy. If you’re just now dealing with clogged pores and greasy skin, you might want to take note of any recent changes.
Is there anything new going on with your diet, hormones, or overall health? Noting these differences might lead you to a solution. Or—at the very least—it might reassure you that this oily situation could be temporary.
Even so, you do need a solution for the moment. Here are some next steps.
Best Practices for Cleansing Oily Skin
Assuming you’re using a gentle cleanser formulated for oily skin (more on that in a moment), you want to cleanse your face morning and night. For your evening routine, it’s a particularly good idea to use a gentle make-up remover before your cleanser.
That way, you get the top layer of gunk out of the way before letting your cleanser do a deep-clean to decongest those clogged pores
When you wash your face, opt for lukewarm water. Hot water dries out your skin and encourages even more production of sebum. Then, pat your face gently with a soft towel. Friction with a rough towel also stimulates oil production.
Now, let’s talk ingredients.
Fight Oily Skin with All-Natural Ingredients
Oil and acne can seem like a big problem requiring heavy-duty solutions. We get it. It’s mighty tempting to look for a hardcore, industrial-strength acne destroyer to balance out your skin
Fight the temptation. Don’t touch those chemical-heavy skin care products. Harsh chemicals and synthetic fragrances irritate your skin, cause breakouts, and can even cause an allergic reaction . . . as if you need one more skin problem to manage.
Choose an all-natural cleanser. Certified organic is even better.
Glycerin is Your Friend
When you’re cleanser shopping, look for “glycerin” in the ingredients.
Glycerin is a non-greasy, plant-based oil that hydrates your skin without stimulating sebum production or layering on shine. A cleanser containing glycerin is your best bet for striking that perfect balance of washing away impurities without drying out the skin.
This wonder ingredient also helps you keep the skin moisturized, which may help discourage overactive oil glands.
Choose Ingredients with Antioxidants and Antibacterial Properties
Again, it’s best to find these qualities in nature.
Our favorite sources for skin protection and repair are olive oil and coconut oil. Don’t let the word “oil” worry you. Remember: oil itself is not a bad thing. What we’re trying to do is regulate the oil left on your skin and repair the damage done through clogged pores. And sometimes, well . . . you gotta fight oil with oil.
For example, olive oil can battle a variety of bacterial infections, including acne. This particular plant-based oil is also loaded with vitamins, including Vitamin A, which is a rockstar when it comes to combating breakouts.
Plus, olive oil contains antioxidants to protect your skin from free radicals like pollution that can try to turn clogged pores into unstoppable acne.
Coconut oil is another great go-to. This oil contains lauric acid, a fatty acid with natural antibacterial properties. Lauric acid is a reliable weapon against acne and inflammation. Not to mention, the gentle moisturizing qualities of coconut oil make this ingredient another tool for avoiding sebum-stimulating dehydration.
While natural ingredients like these are great in a cleanser, it should be noted that applying olive oil or coconut oil alone will likely lead to clogged pores. Choose a cleanser that has been expertly formulated to give you the benefits of plant-based oils without overwhelming your skin.
Each and every year summer season takes a toll on the skin. The humidity, pollution, scorching heat and UV rays eradicates the natural glow of the skin and also increases the chances of skin infections.
Summer is the time for pool parties, holidays and festivals as you take some time off from your work for a much-needed vacation. But it is also the best time to get tan skin and also potential skin damage. Here are some of the important summer skincare tips you can follow this season.
1. Exfoliate your body
During the summer days, your skin really works hard to keep itself healthy and free from any skin irritation. Your body sheds skin cells at an amazing rate every day. This makes your skin to look dull and dry. So exfoliation helps to remove the dead cells and leaves your skin clean and glowing.
2. Use Sunscreen
Don’t forget to wear sunscreen as most people don’t use as much as they need to do. The UV rays from the sun can be harmful to you at any time of the year, but this increases during the month of summer as your exposure level to the UV rays are higher. So, choose a sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 30 so that it gets into your skin and is absorbed. The application of sunscreen regularly can help you to minimize skin and sun-related problems.
3. Drink plenty of water
You should drink at least 8 to 10 glasses of water every day. Whenever you spend time outdoor then remember to drink water frequently at least once every 30 minutes. The water helps you to feel fresh and prevents your body from dehydration, also helps to wash out toxins.
4. Moisturize your skin
During summer days your skin can become flaky and dry. So make sure that you apply a good amount of moisturizer. Pick a moisturizer that contains vitamin E and Aloe Vera extracts so that it will provide excellent nourishment to your skin. It also helps to keep your skin hydrated and protects from skin rashes.
5. Apply Minimal Make-up
Go for minimal make-up during summer. This works best under the intolerant sun. You can apply foundation and some face powder with SPF in your face to avoid patchy skin. Use a lip balm that has SPF 15 or more to keep your lips fresh. To be specific, the Natural look is something that perfectly suits the summer.
6. Take Cold Water Showers
Maintain good skincare hygiene to tackle scorching heat of the sun. In the summer days avoid steam baths and hot water showers as they tend to hydrate your skin. Instead, take cold water showers as it helps to keep your skin pores clear and prevent acne. Take bath twice a day with cold water to keep you feeling fresh and stress-free. Also, apply moisturizers and natural oils to keep your skin soft and clean.
7. Intake More of Vitamin C
Vitamin C is an essential element that plays a huge role in the maintenance of healthy collagen. Collagen is a protein found in your skin, muscles, and ligaments that keeps it firm and healthy. So during summer make sure that you have collagen- boosting foods like lemons, berries, orange, tomatoes, and green leafy vegetables to have a healthy skin.
8. Wear Protective Clothing
In the summer days when you step outdoors, you should cover your skin with cotton or lighter fabric full-sleeved shirts and long pants. Tight clothes can cause irritation and make your body itch more. Wear hats or caps to protect the scalp and also wear sunglasses to block UV rays. You can also go for sun-protective clothing or specially designed clothing to protect from Ultraviolet rays. You should also carry hand sanitizing wipes to clean your hands completely, it can also be used to clean your face as well. This helps you to keep away various bacteria that cause itching and skin rashes.
9. Add Antioxidants to your diet
To have a good shiny and radiant skin, you need to nourish your skin in the right manner. Eating healthy food during the summer is a must.
Take lots of fruits, vegetables, seasonal foods, seafood to get essential amount of nutrients, vitamins, and antioxidants to reduce inflammation, boost collagen production and to protect your skin from effects of heat rays of the sun.
10. Take Good amount of rest
Your body needs time to repair itself to maintain a good health condition of the skin. Even in your busy schedule, you should try to take out enough time to rest. This is really important because most of you tend to be active for a longer time as the days are longer during the summer.
While your body rests, it boosts melanin development and repairs damaged skin cells, strengths the immune system and helps to prevent acne.
11. Apply Face Mask
You can apply a face mask on a weekly basis to take care of your skin. Using ingredients like bananas, cucumber, honey, potato, eggs, etc can be used to make a mask. The application of face mask will help you to moisturize the skin, restore the balance of the skin and helps to treat acne.
While you may use a variety of skin care products such as special cleansers or moisturizers, what you eat and drink can also affect your skin. Here is how your daily diet can change or improve the condition of your facial and body skin.
Diet Tip 1: Giving Your Skin a Healthy Glow
If you rarely consume fruits and vegetables, then you won’t have healthy glowing skin. Your body and facial skin require the vital nutrients that are in vegetables and fruits. While eating fresh produce is highly recommended, it is okay to eat frozen or canned vegetables and fruits too.
Look for seasonal produce at your supermarket to add the freshest bell peppers, mangoes or spinach to your daily dietary plans.
Diet Tip 2: Preventing Oiliness that Leads to Acne
When you have acne-prone skin, it is essential to eat foods that don’t make your skin oilier, leading to pimples and blackheads. Rather than eating a greasy cheeseburger and french fries for dinner, choose a sandwich made with slices of roasted turkey, fresh vegetables and whole-wheat bread.
Diet Tip 3: Reducing Fine Lines and Wrinkles
The diet you eat can reduce fine lines and wrinkles by plumping your skin to increase moisture levels or by helping your body to produce additional collagen.
Omega-3 fatty acids can help you to have youthful skin, and this nutrient is found in fatty fish such as mackerel, salmon, and tuna in addition to walnuts or flaxseeds.
Diet Tip 4: Preventing Sun Damage Such as Sunburn
Did you know that some of the foods that you eat or the beverages that you drink can protect your skin from the sun’s ultraviolet rays? Foods and beverages that contain lycopene are especially helpful for the skin when you are exposed to sunlight.
While you should continue to use the appropriate sunscreen skin care products, eating tasty foods such as tomatoes or drinking cups of hot green tea can protect your sensitive skin. You should also add dark leafy greens, carrots, and broccoli to your daily menu plans.
Diet Tip 5: Keeping Your Skin Moist
One of the best ways to have soft skin is by drinking a lot of water each day. Keeping your skin moist can help to prevent inflammation that leads to blemishes, rashes or aging. In addition to drinking water, you can add low-fat milk and fruit juices to your diet.
It is important to remember that if you drink a lot of caffeinated beverages, you can become dehydrated because caffeine is a diuretic. You should limit the amount of coffee and tea that you drink each day.
Diet Tip 6: Managing Your Insulin Levels
If you are diabetic or have high insulin levels, it changes the chemistry of your body, leading to problems with your skin. You may have problems with itchy skin tissue due to nerve damage deep in your body’s underlying skin tissues.
Managing your insulin levels requires following your physician’s recommendations for insulin injections along with following a special dietary plan. You may need to measure food carefully to control your weight, and your physician may tell you to avoid high-glycemic foods such as white rice or white potatoes.
Diet Tip 7: Reducing Skin Rashes from Allergies
If you have facial skin conditions such as rosacea, then you must follow a particular skin care regimen to avoid redness and ugly bumps. Your daily diet can also affect your skin with allergic reactions from inflammation.
Foods that are highly processed may contain artificial flavorings, dyes, and preservatives that inflame your skin, causing allergic reactions. To avoid this problem, you can eat a natural diet of unprocessed foods while also avoiding alcoholic beverages.
Diet Tip 8: Increasing Collagen Levels to Have Smoother Skin
The collagen levels in your body begin to decrease as part of the natural aging process, but you can increase the collagen in your skin by eating certain foods.
Fruits such as strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries contain antioxidants that eliminate the free radicals in your skin cells, stimulating the production of collagen. With more collagen in your skin, your face looks younger.
Diet Tip 9: Preventing Dryness to Reduce Patchy Skin
Adding healthy fats to your meal plans can help to alleviate dryness of your facial or body skin. Small portions of nutritious foods such as walnuts or avocados will increase your intake of vital healthy fats, making your skin supple. Dairy products such as yogurt, milk, and cheese can also prevent skin dryness.
Diet Tip 10: Helping Your Skin to Heal Faster
When your skin is damaged from too much sunlight or insect bites, you will want it to heal faster. If you aren’t consuming the proper level of nutrients, then your body will send the available vitamins and minerals to your internal organs.
Help your skin to heal faster by having a dietary plan that includes healthier food options such as oatmeal and scrambled eggs for breakfast.
Diet Tip 11: Avoiding Cracks in the Skin
If you have cracks in your skin, then you should change your daily diet right away. It is easier for dangerous bacteria to enter these skin cracks, leading to additional inflammation in the underlying tissues.
Cracked skin tends to occur on the body where there are fewer oil glands, so you may need to ingest foods that contain fats. Small portions of animal-sourced foods such as beef or pork can enrich your skin with fats that are required for healthier skin.
Diet Tip 12: Preventing Hives on the Skin
When you have problems with an itchy and oozy rash on your skin, you are probably allergic to something. Hives are caused by having too much histamine in your body, so your skin reacts with a horrible rash.
Choose the foods that are lower in histamine, including fish such as cod, fresh vegetables, and low-fat dairy foods. Avoid eating foods such as pasta, pastries or bread that contain wheat that has gluten.
Acne as we all know is a condition of the skin which occurs at the time when the hair follicles plug with oil and the dead skin cells. The appearance of acne is most common in the adolescent period but it is also found in young adults as well. Actually, acne might occur at any age.
The occurrence of acne is hated by all but the worst thing about acne is the scar that it leaves behind. The acne scars create even more problems for the affected individuals. The scars are basically ugly marks which hamper the look of the individual to a great extent.
In severe cases of acne scars, the affected individuals even hesitate to go out in the public to avoid embarrassment. In this regard, the use of proper and effective skin care products would certainly be of great help.
In addition to this, following a few of the important tips would be of great help in reducing acne scars which are as enumerated below.
Microdermabrasion is a procedure where some very tiny crystals are sprayed over the skin where acne scars are present. This is done for the removal of the outer layer of the skin and therefore a very effective way for the reduction of acne scars.
This is particularly very suitable for the ones who have fair skin. The ones with darker skin need to be more careful in this regard because microdermabrasion can lead to further scaring along with discolouration of the skin.
If you are hesitating to for the procedure, you can simply try out the in-home version of the same treatment. It is known as HydraFacial which is basically a three-staged extraction facial that works fantastic for the brightening as well as cleansing the polluted skin. Doing this facial on a regular basis can help in reducing the acne scars.
2.Use of Some Specialist Serums
There are some particular skin care productsthat are specially designed for the purpose of reducing acne scars. In addition to this, there are some specialist skin serums available in the market which are formulated in such a way that they play a vital role in reducing the scars as a result of acne. These serums are geared towards the repairing of the damaged skin.
Some of these serums actually claim to act as the DNA enzymes of the skin which helps in cutting out and repairing the damage so caused thereby giving you back your original skin. The skin serums also target the black spots on the skin and help in getting an even skin tone.
Apart from using the specifically designed skin serums, the following of a regular skin care routine including some of the branded skin care productswould be highly beneficial in getting rid of the scars caused due to acne.
3.Treatment with Lasers
Treatment with lasers is another of the very effective way of reducing acne scars. Laser treatment is extremely efficient as well as an effective way of repairing the skin that is damaged. The laser treatment is a minimally invasive one and hence one of the most preferred choices of the users.
In this procedure, some small microscopic indentations in the skin are created which they helps in the stimulation of the production of new collagen. But it is to be always kept in mind that laser treatments should be only opted for after a consultation with an expert.
This is because of the fact that the results of the laser treatments on the skin are dependent on the condition of the skin of the affected person. Thus, an expert would be able to recommend what is best suited and hence the importance of prior consultation.
There are a number of clinics that offers laser treatments but you should be extremely careful to choose a trusted and a reputed clinic for a laser treatment that offers the service with care as well as responsibility.
4.Regular Use of Bio Oil
Bio Oil is another of the great remedy for the elimination of acne scars. Most importantly, this particular remedy is an in-home one and hence very easy and convenient for the users. Bio Oil is actually considered to be a wonder ointment which is formulated with a perfect blend of plant extracts.
Being made up of completely natural ingredients, the effectivity of Bio Oil is high and most importantly there are no serious side effects. Hence, Bio Oil is just great for reducing acne scars. But one important thing is required to be kept in mind.
If you still happen to suffer from acne, it is recommended not to use Bio Oil. The oily consistency of Bio Oil can make the acne even worse. Thus, it would be ideal to use Bio Oil for the treatment of only the scars after acne is gone.
5.Exfoliation on a Regular Basis
Regular skin exfoliation would necessarily be of great help in improving the texture as well as the appearance of the skin. Though a regular skin exfoliation would not get rid of the acne scars completely but it will certainly improve to a great extent like making the scars lighter, improve in overall appearance etc.
In addition to the improvement of the surface of the skin, regular exfoliation leads to the promotion of growth of new skin cells. At this point in time, you need to choose the skin care productsas per the type of one’s own skin.
Additionally, the use of sunscreen on a daily basis for the adequate protection of the skin from sun damage is essential to get rid of the scars effectively. Quality and branded sunscreen are recommended to get the best results.
So, when you feel like the acne scars are giving you a lot of problems, do not waste any more time and start following the tips mentioned above to get the desired results within a short period of time.
A beautiful smile cannot be complete without gorgeous lips. The natural beauty can be enhanced manifolds by the makeup done right.
Almost anyone can rock the bright and beautiful lips and this primarily depends on the comfort and confidence level of the person donning the look. But if you are particularly interested in augmenting the brightness of your smile, then it is more about the undertones rather than the colour itself.
The cooler and bluer undertones assist the teeth to look whiter and brighter and therefore the shades like mauves, reds and taupes are mostly smile-whitening shades. Just make sure that the undertones are not towards the warmer sides.
If you are unable to still guess which colours you should choose, here are some of the shades that can help you make the choice. Just take a look.
Reds – Instead of the Orange-y Reds, Pick the Blue-based Ones–
The Ruby-Woo is one of the most popular cult favourites among the women for a reason. The scarlet hue looks great and pleasing for most of the skin tones. Added to that, it also contains the perfectly proportioned blue base.
Therefore, it is the lipstick that is bound to make your smile brighter. This happens because of pure logic. Yellow/orange and blue are on the opposite sides of each other on the colour wheel. Therefore, the blue tones tend to cancel out the yellow or orange tones when posed against each other.
Hence lipsticks formulated with a blue base can cancel out any yellow or orange tone on the teeth. Therefore, the yellow and orange bases tend to bring the similar colour hues from the smile. The Ruby-Woo is one of the most popular cult favourites among the women for a reason.

Nudes – Shun the Brown and Peachy Nudes
The nude lips are always most coveted, and it happens to be the perfect shade for about any and every occasion. You can pair it with smoky eyes or can wear it on a day-to-day basis. But in order to make the most of the nudes and make your smile bright, you should stay away from the brown or the peachy nudes.
They can make the teeth look stained when you smile. Instead you should go for the pinky nudes. You should go for lipsticks with moisturising effect. You should understand that the lighter shades of lipstick can make the lips look dry in this case.
Pink – Go for the Bluer Undertones
The rules for pinks are actually more or less similar to reds. You should stay away from the orange shades and opt for the berry hued and softer pinks. In this regard, the berry hues are said to be the most coveted choice.
This is because the berries are usually towards the purplish or pinky reds while the blue tones are much stronger. This one does wonders for the brighter smile irrespective of whether you choose a deep plum or light raspberry. The slight glossy formulas also amp up the grin’s wattage as opposed to the matted counterpart.
Go Purple – Choose Something Really Dark and Purplish -
A darker purplish shade is essentially for darker skin tones and instantly adds a cooler elegance for any look. Added to that, it also brightens the teeth and the purplish shade makes the teeth look whiter. You can choose something really dark and deep or something of a purplish hue.
This will make the ivories look as white as possible. Both the berry hues and the purple shades offer the double whammy of forming a sharp contrast with the teeth and being blue-based which both work towards creating a dazzling smile.
Things to Avoid
In order to don a gorgeous smile, here are some of the few colours to avoid. Just take a look
Your skin can look darker when you are trying on neon coloured clothes and nail varnish. It works in the same way with teeth. So if you wear a neon glow shade on the lips, your teeth will start looking brownish.
Though a little bit of shine is great but excessive shine can highlight the fine lines around the mouth. So if you choose any colour that is icy, it can make the teeth duller and the lips whiter.
The matte lips offer an illusion of dry lips. That way your teeth will have no shine to bounce off.
If you have got the brown tones on the teeth which is a common side-effect of ageing then the brown tones are not a wise choice for you as they get further highlighted. The brown shades are responsible for bringing out the yellowish tinge on the teeth.
The above are some of the lipstick colours that make your teeth whiter and look gorgeous. Even after thorough and daily teeth cleaning and going for professional teeth whitening treatments, you should be careful in choosing the lip shade that you wear as just a wrong choice can ruin the brightest smile. Therefore, by choosing the right shade of lip colour you will be able to flaunt a million-dollar smile with beautiful lips without any issue.

Tea tree is one of the best and most effective essential oils in treating skin conditions. It is produced from a shrub-like tree in Australia and the natives have been taking advantages of its healing benefits. It is used in treating all forms of acne, eczema, ring worms, athlete’s foot, fungi infections, etc.
Over the years, tea tree has been a very popular ingredient in skin creams, hair, nails soaps and even in massage rooms. Tea tree is rich in anti-bacterial, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. And due to its wide healing properties, people have resolved to use 100% tea tree oil to reap the most benefits. But due to its concentrated form it is not recommended for sensitive skin.
People with sensitive skin have a lot of reactions to cosmetic products. Their skin is very delicate and any harsh substance can cause severe skin injury. In order to know if your skin is really sensitive, it is advised to visit a dermatologist first because dermatologist say that most people think they have sensitive skin because of reaction to a certain product, not because they actually do. So a patch test is recommended.
Due to the nature of sensitive skin, concentrated products, even natural ones cause burning. I’ve learnt that the hard way I remember the first time I found tea tree oil. It was sitting on my mum’s drawer and when I read the uses on the tiny bottle I just owned it. It had this really strong smell and I have never heard about it and how to use it, so I just read the instructions on the bottle and used a small quantity when my pimples and allergies appeared, it was during puberty and I just had to find a way to stop those stubborn acne.
I always felt the tingles (burning) on my skin and just assumed it was because it was working. Sometimes the tingles became unbearable and I washed them immediately. Until one night I found my skin red and peeling. I was in so much pain and I still thought it was because my skin was just too sensitive.
I stopped using it immediately, and after a while I had some acne on my face and couldn’t pass out using the tea tree oil. I then resolved to finding out ways I could use it without hurting my skin.
Here are some ways I found that helped me use tee tree oil without hurting my skin.
Diluting with carrier oils
Carrier oils like castor oil, coconut oil, olive oil reduce the concentration of tea tree oil and makes it easier to use. It reduces its healing strength but it still works as far as you don’t make it too concentrated or don’t over dilute. I recommend using the diluted tea tree oil on the whole face and cover with a warm towel for 3-5 minute to steam the face. Wipe with the warm towel and get to sleep. The acne will reduce after 2 treatments and eventually disappear.
Diluting with honey
Diluting your tea tree oil with honey helps not only in reducing the potency of the tea tree oil but also in removing those stubborn acne scars left after you treat the acne. Honey is also a great anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-oxidant, it works well with tea tree oil and moisturizes the skin. Any other damage your skin has been exposed to will be soothed with the honey. It’s absolutely easy and you can make it under 5 minutes in your kitchen or bathroom.
Tea tree oil absorbs rays from the sun making your skin double its risk of getting sunburned. It’s easier for sensitive skin to get damaged and harder to repair. So protecting your skin is the best way to go. Use sunscreens with SPF of 30 and above.
Instead of using tea tree oil on your whole face and making your face at the risk of getting burned. Do spot treatment. You take a cotton swap and dip in the tea tree oil. You then place it directly on the pimple, blackhead or any acne. That allows you to treat it directly and efficiently.
Leaving time between treatments
Most treatments for normal skin are between 5-10 minutes. But for sensitive skin, based on personal experiments treat for 3-5 minutes. Any less is ineffective, higher is greater risk of getting burned or making your condition worse. Also avoid daily treatments. Treat once daily or once every two days depending on the condition.
Handling skin with care
Prevention is better than cure. Sensitive skin are not prone to acne like normal skin is, so unless you absolutely need to use tea tree oil or any other product give your skin time and focus on bettering your skin by sticking to a healthy diet, using less make up, avoid harsh products, using sunscreen, exercising and using prescribed products by your dermatologists.
Acne on sensitive skin could be reactions to other products so find out what the cause is. When that is diagnosed then go ahead and use a diluted form of tea tree oil.

Beauty Dust is very pretty to look at and it tastes like nothing, which is great. Here is what it’s supposed to do: This ancient empiric formula expands beauty through alchemizing elements legendary for their youth preserving, fortifying and tonifying qualities. Glowing supple skin, lustrous shiny hair and twinkling bright eyes are holistically bestowed from the inside out.
Girls shoping and having fun
I actually first read this as alkalizing meaning effecting pH level, and I was like, OK I guess I understand how that could positively effect your body, but alchemizing means turning elements to gold basically through magic. That lead me to research each ingredient because I know alchemy is not actually happening in my body when I eat this, since alchemy is not real.
That’s all I’ve got & it’s nothing new. But my gratitude and holiday weekend survival tactics kept bringing me back to these people – so thankful for them in all areas of my life, and our history & future together.
Fun day at the beach
I began to ask myself, why – when I put whatever on my skin, which is the body’s largest organ, sometimes not really buying the ingredient story and not caring at all.
I’ve been in this industry forever and I know topical products can only do so much for your hair and skin.
Nice packaging and product feel can really make you feel good and that’s part of the joy of this.
In addition to loving beauty and taking care of myself, I also love opening people minds to other paths of self-care, and good marketing and I can honestly say that I use and personally love this product but I’m not sure for which reason.
I think it made me think about it more and really consider why I was choosing to add this to my routine
It poses an interesting question for me on the wellness category – will people be willing to buy in, or does eating something change your “sniff” test on the believe-ability of the claims?
The color is very long lasting and they have an interesting texture that’s like a powder and a cream but neither really. They’re made with pure pigments and oils and will never melt with the warmth of your skin because they don’t contain any waxes. You can literally use them for anything – obviously as eye shadow and liner, but the light shade is a great highlighter, and the red can be used for lip or blush with a little balm.
Healthy breakfast and beautiful flowers
Most perfumers utilize aroma molecules, basically breaking down the chemical structure of natural odors into building blocks which are generally more olfactively pure and controllable than essential oil.
Molecule 01 pays homage to Iso E Super, which is a sandalwood/cedar smell – but the trick is that this is all that’s in there. The scent doesn’t evolve quite like a normal fragrance, in fact it’s hard to even smell it all sometimes. My husband described it as smelling like a high school art room (i.e. pencil shavings). But once you have it on your body, it becomes the sexiest thing – very personal and close, very mysterious.
If you love Le Labo Rose 31, to me it’s a little bit like the whisper version of that (which for me is way too big of a fragrance for everyday).
Trust me that your man will steal this – or, you can get it for him for Valentine’s Day and steal it yourself
Honey, like coconut oil, is one of those ingredients that (they say) has a cure for just about everything. That is why DIY-ing face masks with a simple combo of Greek yogurt + honey or honey alone is not a crazy thing to do.
Feel the wonderful sea breeze
Maybe your partner doesn’t have a beard and you are thinking, well great, thanks for the advice, but no beard on my shopping list have no fear, we have one more great must give man gift idea.
Wild Rose, which is an Oregon-grown company, prides itself on sustainability and offers up the simple yet brilliant Wild Man After Shave. His face will feel healed and refreshed and he’ll have a subtle woodsy scent like you just strolled with him through a fair glen.
There’s also a little pouch to store the rollerballs, and a card with different inspirations as to how to blend them on your skin – but it’s foolproof. You can’t make a mess if you mix them all up.
Badger Beard Balm is perfect for the bearded gents in your life (is this everyone? beards are so trending). It is filled with good things such as vitamins A, D, E & F to keep his beard healthy, thicker and cleaner, as well as helping to relieve itchiness as it soothes the skin under the hair.
If you’re looking to get rid of this beard, maybe this is not the right angle for your gifting
Further, no one wants to cuddle with a dirty beard – who knows, maybe you already are and are dying for a nice way to help this problem of yours his. Beard Wash made by Beard Buddy. Started in 2011 in California, all Beard Buddy products are hand crafted by beards for beards.
