Mercury conjunct Neptune Pisces – February 19 2019 (06:37 GMT)
Full Moon [0 Virgo 42] – February 19 2019 (15:54 GMT)
This coming week, the Sun enters Pisces on Monday 18th February followed swiftly by the Full Moon on Tuesday 19th February at 0 degrees Virgo. The Sun in Pisces opposes the Moon in Virgo.
Virgo is ruled by Mercury and Pisces’ co-ruler is Neptune. On the same day as the Full Moon, there’s a Mercury/Neptune conjunction at 15 degrees Pisces. Therefore, Pisces energy is coming in with a real whoosh. This could be an emotional Full Moon.
Virgo v. Pisces
During the Virgo Full Moon, there’s usually a sense of busy-ness, when you want or need to be productive and get things done (Virgo’s realm). At this Full Moon, however, the planets in Pisces have the stronger pull.
They are whispering to the Moon in Virgo to give in, to surrender and let go. Consider whether this is relevant for you and how you want to make the most of this strong Pisces energy.
What will bring you fulfilment? You may choose to devote yourself to a creative, romantic, spiritual or caring activity. You may choose to let go and rest deeply and find a spa bath, a warm sea or a fantasy world to lose yourself in.
Whereas Virgo’s ruling planet Mercury enjoys the busyness of the mind, Pisces’ modern ruler Neptune wants to go with the flow, be intuitive and tap into its sensitive nature through dreams and imagination, not words.
Both points of the Virgo/Pisces axis are highlighted now. Through the confusion of ideas, thoughts and feelings which emerge, your goal is to find a route to clarity, efficiency, order. Yet, there might be another way, one that’s connected to not knowing, being willing to go wherever life leads, to surrender to life rather than try to direct it the way you choose.
Mercury’s Shadow Phase
This fits with Mercury’s shadow phase which begins during this Full Moon. I don’t often pay close attention to the shadow phase of Mercury which elongates the three week Mercury retrograde phase to eight weeks.
This time around, there’s a good case to make the most of this extraordinary period when Mercury’s diving deep into Neptune’s realm. If you’re ready to lose yourself, go off piste, experiment, try something different, here’s your opportunity.
The only proviso is if you’re already feeling untethered or unsafe. Mercury, the planet of precision, isn’t comfortable in Pisces’ boundless realm. If you’re in danger of losing your mind or the fine line between madness and creativity tips too far in one direction, don’t cast aside your anchor in gay abandon.
Instead, focus on the earth sign energy that’s currently strong, take one step at a time and feel your way forwards while keeping your feet firmly on the ground.
Mercury’s Long Swim
If you are in a romantic, creative or spiritual phase in your life, know that this will continue throughout March while Mercury is retrograde in Pisces. In fact, it’s only during mid-April, when Mercury finally completes its journey through the star sign that represents wisdom, spiritual knowledge, vulnerability and escapism, that your long swim through Pisces’ realm is finally over.
There’s no one way to experience this boundless Full Moon. Instead, consider the symbolism laid out for you and apply this to your current situation.
What do you need right now? Is life urging you to let go and surrender? Are you willing to sacrifice yourself for the needs of others? Do you want to lead your life differently so you can tap into your subconscious, stir your imagination, listen to your dreams and encourage your creative and/or spiritual source to emerge?
It’s a peak moment in the astrological year when you’re being encouraged to dive in, connect with your self on a deep level and reach outwards to connect with humanity, the universe and life.

The monthly podcast includes astrological insights for every star sign, not only the sign of the month.
It’s all a bit emotional and watery as we enter Pisces’ season on February 18th. Neptune, planet of dreams & the imagination, is in full flow influencing both the Full Moon on February 19th and the New Moon on March 6th.
As Mercury also turns retrograde in Pisces on March 5th, will you experience confusion, inspiration or something inbetween? It feels like a month when it’s ok to not know where you’re heading or why. Make time to meander gently through life.
We also talk about the major astrological shift of Uranus into earth sign, Taurus, on March 6th. Come join us and listen in.
Hot on the heels of the red-hot planetary conjunction between Mars & Uranus in Aries – February 13th – comes another whoosh of dynamic, fast-paced cosmic activity.
Fiery Mars may have left Aries – February 14th – volatile Uranus may be getting ready to leave Aries – March 6th – but asteroid Chiron, the wounded healer, is picking up the baton.
The fighters, lovers, warriors, activists, pioneers, innovators, trendsetters and heroes are still needed at the forefront of life.
Chiron was in Aries last year from April 17th to September 25th, 2018. This time around, February 18th, 2019, Chiron is in Aries until 2026/2027.
We know from past experience that Chiron’s move into Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, can be a big deal. It lands with a kapow, a wham bam, a major shock or statement.
Take two key events when Chiron moved into Aries last time around:
On April 1st, 1968, Chiron entered Aries. Three days later on April 4th, 1968, the civil rights leader, Martin Luther King, was assassinated with a single shot to the neck. Aries rules the head and the incident shocked the world. It’s an event that will never be forgotten.
The same year, Chiron retrograded back into Pisces on October 18th. Two days beforehand on October 16th, as Chiron was preparing to leave Aries, John Carlos & Tommie Smith stood on the podium at the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City.
The two men raised a fist to the sky clad in a black glove during the US anthem. They bowed their heads as a symbol of unity with human rights and their black power salute has become an iconic photo.
The Australian who won silver in the race, Peter Norman, knew what they were going to do and stood with them in solidarity. It was an act of courage and defiance that affected all three mens’ lives.
When Norman died in 2006, Carlos and Smith were pallbearers at his funeral, in some way helping to heal the aftermath of their iconic protest.
1968 was a major year of racial unrest and a significant year in the rise of the civil rights movement. It was dubbed ‘a year of awakening‘, perhaps a fitting title for Chiron in Aries. We may well look back on the events of 2018/2019 and see these transitional years as significant in the wave of activism sweeping through our world.
[n.b. all three of the athletes on the podium in October 1968 have a tight conjunction with Uranus, the activist planet, in their birth chart; John Carlos – June 5, 1945 (Sun conjunct Uranus Gemini); Tommie Smith – June 6, 1944 (Venus conjunct Uranus Gemini); Peter Norman – June 15, 1942 (Saturn conjunct Uranus Gemini). They are all Sun Gemini, the sign of communication.]
Chiron in the Birth Chart
Chiron isn’t always the easiest planetary factor to interpret in the birth chart. Sometimes, it makes sense if it’s closely conjunct another planet and it picks up on the themes of that particular planet or archetype. Working closely with clients, I’ve also seen the importance of Chiron on the angles, especially the Ascendant and IC, the point at the base of the horoscope.
This often pulls in themes from the past, whether you are being called to honour your family or legacy or you are somehow atoning for the sins of your past. It feels like a karmic healing, as you take on past hurts, which may not even be part of your lifetime.
Chiron acts a bridge from the old world to the new world as it is located between Saturn and Uranus in the planetary line-up, a link from the personal planets to the collective planets. Its nature is the sometimes-forgotten link between man and spirit, as Chiron was half-human, half-animal.
Chiron transits can coincide with wounds that slow you down, periods of injury/healing that force you to find alternative strengths and shift your perspective on life. Chiron’s move into Aries is leaving behind one world – Pisces and the last sign of the zodiac – and entering a new world – Aries and the first sign of the zodiac.
Once again, it is a bridge, taking you from the past into the future. Chiron in Aries may flag up themes around identity, your real self, what makes you unique, your body.
Chiron’s 50 year cycle means it’s often connected to key events in your life during this important decade. For women, it’s a no-brainer; this is the usual age when the menopause kicks in and the body/mind/spirit connection transforms rapidly.
It can leave you feeling confused about your self and how to be well in body, mind and soul as you undergo transition. Maybe men go through a similar change, although it doesn’t seem as obvious on the surface.
The Chiron Return often marks a shift in the way that Chiron works too. The 50’s are a decade when you start looking at your legacy, what you’ve learned in your lifetime and how you can pass on your knowledge and wisdom that you’ve accumulated. It’s a time to give back and help heal other peoples’ wounds. This process itself can be deeply self-fulfilling.
Let’s see what Chiron’s move into the first sign of the zodiac, Aries, brings this week and through the rest of 2019. If you want to find out more about what Chiron means in your birth chart, please do book in for an astrology reading.
Do add your comments below if Chiron’s entry into Aries resonates for you and makes itself known.
Mars is fiery and furious over the next couple of days. The red planet that rules anger and action is currently strong in Aries: the strident activist, the daring hero, the martial arts expert. This Mars knows what it wants and is out to get it. Mars in Aries is fast, direct and takes no prisoners.
This is great news if you need to be assertive, make things happen, take charge. Yet, it’s important to know that Mars is currently teaming up with unpredictable Uranus at the last degree of Aries. This will fan the flames of Mars as temperatures swiftly reach boiling point.
This is an important planetary conjunction because these two lively, volatile planets have been involved in a love affair for many years. Since 2010/11, Uranus has been in Mars’ sign of rulership, Aries. Last year, 2018, Mars spent almost six months in Uranus’ sign of rulership, Aquarius as Uranus took a six-month vacation in earth sign Taurus. Uranus moved back into Aries in November 2018, when Mars left Aquarius.
Mars/Uranus In The World
One example of how this played out in the world was the Yellow Vest movement in France. The demonstrations began in November 2018 but the movement started in May 2018 with an online petition that grew over the ensuing months, reaching 300,000 signatures by October.
You can see the symbolism clearly here; Mars went underground last year, when it turned retrograde while activism was spreading virally, online and by social media, Aquarius’ domain.
Once Uranus leapt back into Mars’ star sign, Aries in November 2018, the violent demonstrations began, primarily in Paris, but elsewhere in France too over the coming weeks. Anti-government, the people were rioting over higher fuel taxes and demanding an increase in the minimum wage.
Therefore, this week’s Mars-Uranus conjunction in the final degree of Aries is potentially volatile, there are no two ways about it. This is one final clash, one push for victory before Mars leaves Aries on February 14th followed by Uranus leaving Aries on March 6th.
Mars/Uranus – It’s Personal
On a personal level, look at what you’re not prepared to put up with any longer or where you’re ready to get things moving and fast. The Mars/Uranus conjunction can act as a trigger for change.
This planetary combination is independent and excitable, decisive and wilful. It is important to look closely at your motivations and be wary about taking foolish risks. If you’re feeling unsure, use your passion constructively and rein in your impatience. The Mars/Uranus conjunction is the proverbial ‘leap out of the fire into the frying pan’, i.e. acting impulsively can make things worse.
There’s a real danger that this ‘flick-of-a-switch’ Mars is about to be activated and rage out of control. So, take care over the next couple of days. Know that this is a volatile period, do battle when necessary but also trust when to turn the other cheek.
I just discovered that today is one of the most popular days to split up! 48 hours before Valentines Day. Rather neatly for this article, the phenomenon is called ‘Red Tuesday’ – red is Mars’ colour, Tuesday is ruled by Mars and Uranus is the planet most often associated with splits, i.e. break ups!
Mars conjunct Uranus – handle with care and take good care!
If you found January wasn’t the start to 2019 you were expecting, don’t worry. February is the new January and this week’s New Moon on February 4th is a great date to set your intentions and get things moving.
Firstly, this is the first New Moon of 2019 that’s not an eclipse. January was an eclipse month and eclipses are shadowy and hidden. Whereas, this New Moon targets the future. It’s a symbol of new beginnings and ideal for starting afresh.
Aquarius is one of the star signs most closely linked to the future and looking ahead. Aquarius’ nature is objective and collaborative. Plus, this New Moon is the start of Chinese New Year, which begins officially on February 5th.
For the Chinese, this marks the start of the Spring Festival and an important date in the year. Take advantage of this forward-moving vibe and inject fresh energy into your life in all areas.
This New Moon only has good things going for it as the Sun and Moon sit next to Mercury in Aquarius and make a positive sextile aspect to Jupiter in Sagittarius.
The Mercury-Jupiter sextile perfected on February 3rd but is still strong during the New Moon phase. Mercury is in Aquarius, which is said to be its sign of exaltation.
The communication planet likes to be in a star sign that’s both structured and innovative. Plus, expansive Jupiter is currently in its sign of rulership, Sagittarius and this whole combination is great for collective ventures, collaboration, learning and adventure.
Then, on February 8th, the Sun-Jupiter sextile planetary aspect perfects continuing the flow of positive astrology.
There’s a feel-good vibe to this week’s astrology, so make the most of it and line up some fun and inspirational ideas and projects. In fact, this week only has easy astrology, which is quite unusual. At least it gives us all a breather from drama and the unexpected.
Remember that February is a short month with only 28 days and next month, Mercury will turn retrograde in Pisces from March 5th until March 28th. Both great reasons to act fast this month, while the going’s good.
February is the new January applies to your star sign Aquarius, in a big way. This is because there’s a New Moon in your star sign on the 4th and this is the first New Moon of 2019 that’s not an eclipse.
Therefore, it’s now that you can get ahead with your plans and ideas and start things moving in your life. The New Moon in Aquarius is not only the time to consider the coming few weeks but to plan ahead for the whole year.
New Moons are ideal for setting intentions and lining up some personal goals and aims. Aquarius rules your body, your image and profile, so think about how you want to be seen and come across to other people.
This would be a good New Moon to launch a website, podcast or blog or, in some shape or form, see your name in lights. The focus is on you as February begins, so make the most of this in your birthday month.
Plus, this feels like a sociable month for you and you’re wise to extend your social circle and networks as this can boost all areas of your life. Lucky Jupiter is currently in Sagittarius and your friendship and group sector. Jupiter teams up with Mercury in Aquarius on the 3rd and the Sun in Aquarius on the 8th.
In fact, this is part of the New Moon picture, whether you’re heading for a school reunion or you’re joining a new club, group or society. Online connections are a significant part of the picture too because Aquarius, your star sign, rules technology and is linked to social media.
Talk planet Mercury remains in your star sign until the 10th and the Sun is here until the 18th. Plus, both planets team up with your co-ruler Uranus on the 9th and 18th respectively. Venus in Sagittarius also teams up with Uranus on the 2nd.
Uranus is currently in Aries and your communication sector so all these dates are great for making new friends. Aries rules your local community, your siblings and neighbours and life close to home.
There’s a collaborative feel to your astrology, especially in the first half of the month, so make the most of this and join in with other people. This is great for brainstorming, sharing ideas and coming together for support, inspiration or fun.
If you’re involved in sales or marketing or you want to reach a wider network, don’t hold back. The more expansive your world, the more chance of finding the opportunity that triggers new beginnings.
There’s one more key planetary aspect taking place involving your planet Uranus. This is a major conjunction between Mars and Uranus in Aries on the 13th. These two planets have been having a love affair on and off for some time. In fact, this goes as far back as 2010/2011.
Mars and Uranus together are the activist, the protestor. This is a strident planetary combination and it means you’ll want to get involved with politics, society or community issues. This is a chance to speak up, join in with a protest or march and make a difference.
There’s a lot to stand up against and rebel about in the world and it’s up to you to decide where you want to channel your help and support.
You could find you’re unusually angry in the first two weeks of the month. Mars in Aries clashes with Pluto on the 2nd, which could see you up against the authorities or face to face with the dark side of power and control.
Plus, the Mars/Uranus conjunction on the 13th feels volatile and flammable. Take care of yourself if you stand alongside other people to get your voice heard. Mars and Uranus can coincide with accidents or mishaps if you don’t take due care and attention. It’s great for being spontaneous and impulsive but try not to leap out of the frying pan into the fire.
Mars leaves Aries on the 14th and your planet Uranus leaves Aries on March 6th. This is significant because Uranus won’t return to Aries for another 84 years. Therefore, this might be your last chance to stand up for what you believe in or to push for justice.
There’s a gentler vibe once Mars and Uranus have joined forces and moved on. Mercury and the Sun move into water sign Pisces on the 10th and 18th respectively. This is your money sector and a key time to turn your attention towards finances, possessions, values and self-worth.
Actively engage with your money, especially close to the Full Moon on the 19th. This cuts across the Virgo/Pisces axis of the zodiac and it’s a good time to do your accounts or work out your budget. Virgo is all about facts and figures, rather than hoping everything’s going to be alright.
Also, the Full Moon brings clarity and you see your situation clearly. Do whatever’s necessary to ensure you’re moving in the right direction with regard to finances, money and earnings.
On the 14th, Mars moves into earth sign, Taurus, where it remains until the end of March. This is your home and family sector and it’s a more stable influence that Mars in Aries. In fact, this is a good time to strengthen your foundations and put down roots.
Act swiftly in areas around home and family because, early March, your ruler, Uranus, takes up residence in Taurus and Uranus represents change.
Finally, Valentines Day, the 14th, could be lovely for friendship and it’s always worth letting someone know that you love them. If you’re looking for love, it’s a great day for a date. Some of you may be embroiled in a love affair that you know isn’t wise but you can’t help yourself nonetheless.
This month’s astrology continues on from last month’s major Jupiter-Neptune square aspect that was exact on January 13th. This is a remarkable connection between these two planets, Pisces’ co-rulers, because they are both in their sign of rulership, Jupiter in Sagittarius and Neptune in Pisces.
Jupiter in Sagittarius highlights your career and vocation, your future path and Neptune in Pisces highlights your identity, your personal life, your aims and goals. This is a boundless combination that encourages you to believe anything is possible and make great strides in the year ahead.
As February begins, however, you could benefit from a quieter way of life or some time to reflect and contemplate on what next. Both talk planet Mercury and the Sun are in Aquarius and the most hidden sector of your horoscope until the 10th and 18th respectively.
Plus, the New Moon on the 4th falls in Aquarius, a symbol of new beginnings and the chance to start a fresh page. This is about your inner life rather than being out in the world, so perhaps you need time out or you’re ready for R&R, rest and relaxation.
Alternatively, it might be that you’re changing on the inside and you have a lot to think about and process. Jupiter connects with both Mercury and the Sun on the 3rd and the 8th and is pulled into the New Moon energy.
Therefore, this is a good week in the month to plan ahead and make some intuitive moves around your career and vocation. Follow up any past connections and don’t leave matters unresolved. Complete what you started.
Money is also a major factor in the first two weeks of the month and this may be why you’re keen to expand your career or a business. Action planet Mars has been in Aries and your personal money sector since the start of the year. In fact, it moved into Aries on New Year’s Day.
Mars is the planet of action and ambition and things can progress quickly when Mars is raring to go. This month, however, there’s added conflict or potential stress around money matters.
This is because Mars clashes with Pluto in Capricorn on the 2nd. This combination is volatile and tempers could flare. You might be angry if money doesn’t materialise or someone refuses to pay back a loan. It also suggests you need to be assertive when it comes to money and not let someone else call the shots.
Fast forward two weeks and Mars is on the verge of leaving Aries on the 14th. Before it does so, it makes a powerful planetary conjunction with Uranus in Aries on the 13th. This is important because Mars and Uranus have been involved in a love affair for some time. They’re working together.
This adds an unpredictable element to your finances and you might be glad to see the back of Uranus from Aries and your money sector. This takes place on March 6th and Uranus won’t return to Aries for another 84 years.
As you’ve had the planet of change and instability in Aries and your personal money sector since 2010/2011, this doesn’t present a settled picture. Uranus can bring wins your way, but it’s rarely steady and stable.
Pay close attention to the Mars/Uranus conjunction on the 13th and try to work out what this might mean for you. It’s an impulsive combination but it doesn’t feel like the best day to take a huge risk financially. Fire sign energy is very different to your go-with-the-flow instinctive Pisces nature.
Instead, you might find that events are dramatic around money or you recognise where you’re ready to move on. You could theoretically make a killing with online shares but only get involved if you know the money industry inside out.
As the month progresses, you may start to feel more confident with yourself and more settled in life in general. Communication planet Mercury enters your star sign Pisces on the 10th and the Sun moves into Pisces on the 18th, the start of your birthday month.
Both events are significant as the focus turns to your personal life and what brings you happiness and fulfilment. In fact, you might be ready to readdress the balance if you’re been too caught up with the bigger picture of life recently. You may find that this year is going to be an all-or-nothing picture when it comes to the work/life balance.
Also, the lovers of the heavens, Venus and Mars, move into steady and stable earth signs in February. Venus is in Capricorn from the 3rd onwards and Mars enters Taurus on the 14th.
These sectors of your horoscope represent friends, old and new. This is about your connections, being part of your community and out in the world. It’s about companionship but also seeking support from your friends and inspiration from your peers.
Venture out into the world and make key connections that can source you and sustain you in the months ahead.
The Full Moon on the 19th is also significant as it cuts across the Virgo/Pisces axis of the zodiac. This could be a key date for your close relationships and more important than Valentines Day, the 14th.
Plus, with romantic Neptune in full flow on the 17th and the 19th, this is the peak period of the month for love. Make the most of it and cosy up to the one you love.
For the first half of February, until the 14th, your ruler Mars remains strong in your star sign, Aries, where it’s been since New Year’s Day. You may be one of the star signs who got a lot done last month, although perhaps you had too much on or felt stressed or under pressure.
Mars in your star sign, Aries, is a competitive, assertive, go-getting influence. You might have personal goals that you’re keen to achieve or you want to get a lot done over the next couple of weeks.
Mars in Aries is a strong influence for standing up to authority or challenging prejudice in any shape or form. You might need Mars on your side at the start of the month when Mars clashes with Pluto in Capricorn and your career and future sector.
Pluto in Capricorn is the big boss, the government, the plutocrat and it looks as if you’re not happy with the current state of affairs. This might be on a personal level or perhaps you’re the individual taking a stand in order to challenge the status quo. One way or another, you mean business.
If you’re looking for a good date to negotiate, choose the 8th of the month when your planet Mars is working hand-in-glove with communication planet, Mercury. This is your chance to walk your talk and get other people on your side.
Also, Mars and Uranus have been working together for a long time now. In fact, they’ve been involved in a cosmic love affair. Uranus has spent most of the last eight years in Mars’ sign Aries and, from May to November 2018, Mars was mostly in Uranus’ star sign Aquarius.
This month, Mars and Uranus stand side by side in your star sign, Aries, and they come together on February 13th before Mars changes star sign. This is an important date because it’s the last major planetary conjunction that Uranus makes before leaving Aries on March 6th and Uranus won’t return for another 84 years.
Mars and Uranus working together symbolise the activist, stirring up action, gathering the troops in the name of a good cause. This is great for political affairs, social progress, community spirit. It gives you the ability to blaze trails and play an active role in collaborative and social events. The only proviso is not to choose the 13th to go bungee-jumping or rally driving. Mars and Uranus can also be indicative of accidents, if you’re overly impulsive and don’t take good care of yourself.
You might be losing both Mars and Uranus from your star sign over the next six weeks, but this doesn’t mean that the action stops here. This is because Chiron, the wounded healer, moves into your star sign Aries on February 18th where it remains until 2026/2027. Chiron in Aries is the teacher and mentor and this keeps your revolutionary fervour ablaze.
Consider how or where in life you want to step forward this month, whether to help others or play a leading role. Think about your physical body too because Aries rules the body. The stronger you are, the more stamina you have. This could be a year when you decide to get fit, do strength training or run a marathon.
There’s a sense of super-hero status in your astrology this month. Choose your battles wisely and decide how and where you’re going to fight for what you believe in. Not every Aries individual will be climbing the ramparts to declare a revolution but you do have a real chance now to instigate change in your life.
Also, this month, you have allies on your side. Your partner planet, Venus, enters Capricorn and your career and vocation sector on the 3rd, where she remains until the beginning of March. Look out for a woman in a position of influence who can help you make progress.
Get the right people working for you and use your connections. One woman in particular could prove to be extremely supportive if you allow her to do things her way. Notice what happens on the 18th and 23rd of the month.
This is a good month to be social too, especially earlier on. Talk planet Mercury is in Aquarius and your friendship sector until the 10th and the Sun remains in Aquarius until the 18th. Plus, the New Moon on the 4th lights up the friends and group sector of your horoscope. Join in with other people, make new friends, catch up with old friends and be out in the world. This stimulates all areas of your life, personal and professional.
You are encouraged to take the pace a little slower later in the month once Mercury and the Sun change star signs. They move into Pisces and the most hidden sector of your horoscope on the 10th and 18th respectively. This is your cue to do less not more and take some time out if possible. When planets are in Pisces, this is an excellent time to prioritise self-care, rest and relaxation.
You might bef looking after someone close during the second half of the month, especially around the Full Moon that cuts across the Virgo/Pisces axis on the 19th. This is about being of service to others and helping wherever you can.
Finally, your planet Mars moves into the sensual but slow earth sign, Taurus, on the 14th, Valentines Day. Taurus is hands-on and affectionate and one of the star signs linked to sex. Passion is there for the taking, if you’re ready to indulge your senses.
If love’s not your thing, turn your attention towards money matters. Taurus rules money in your horoscope and Mars in Taurus is great for filling the coffers. Focus your energy and motivation into making money, until Mars leaves Taurus at the end of March.
Your planet, Venus, changes star sign this month and enters Capricorn, a fellow earth sign on the 3rd. Venus remains here throughout February.
Capricorn rules travel and study in your horoscope, any activity that broadens your horizons. This could be a spiritual path, philosophical teachings, learning more about knowledge, beliefs or systems of thought.
This area of your life is currently under the glare of the cosmic spotlight. The new set of eclipses which began in July 2018 take place here. Plus, the slower-moving authority planets, Saturn and Pluto, are also in Capricorn. In fact, Venus teams up with them both on the 18th and 23rd respectively.
This may mean you have your head down studying or researching or perhaps you’re planning a big trip or emigration. Whatever you’re involved in personally, don’t miss out any of the steps. This is the time to plan meticulously in order to move closer to your chosen goal.
In your horoscope, Capricorn is linked to publishing, the Law, the media and world affairs. If you find yourself pulled out in the world this month ready to engage with political or social issues, to get your voice heard, you’re in tune with your stars.
Come the 14th, you have the backing of the competitive planet, Mars, on your side as it enters Taurus, your star sign. Mars remains here until the end of March. This important transit only takes place once every two years, so make the most of the planet of action, grit and determination in your star sign.
This can be an ambitious time for you when you’re ready to line up some long-term goals or get to the top of your chosen mountain. This fits with the emphasis on the sign of Aquarius and the sector of your horoscope which rules your career and vocation, your status and reputation.
Both talk planet Mercury and the Sun are in Aquarius until the 10th and 18th respectively. Plus, there’s a gorgeous New Moon in Aquarius on the 4th which pulls in lucky Jupiter. This would be a great week to start a career project, apply for a job or ask for promotion. Jupiter in Sagittarius highlights your joint finance sector, excellent for shared resources and joint ventures.
You might discover that the efforts you made in the past could now pay off. Notice who crops up in your life on or around the 2nd, 8th and 9th. This may be a benefactor or someone you helped out in the past. This is about the last eight years and what you’ve been working towards since 2010/2011.
Mars and Uranus are working together this month and they collaborate on the 13th. This is one of the most important planetary aspects of the whole month as it falls at 29 degrees Aries, i.e. the end of the star sign. Plus, Mars leaves Aries the following day and Uranus leaves Aries on March 6th. Then, both planets enter your star sign, Taurus.
Therefore, ask yourself who or what are you ready to leave behind? Where is there instability in your life, who’s the volatile factor? Mars is your partner planet, so this might be about one person in particular, either in your personal or professional life.
Trust your intuition mid-month and listen to your natural instincts. This feels like moving on from a situation that’s got nothing left in the tank. It’s time for a new approach, one that’s more in tune with your earthy, common sense. Less bravado and bluster, more thoughtful deliberation.
Your star sign, Taurus, knows how to build from the ground up and this is what you may be doing over the next few weeks and months.
Make time for friends as well this month, especially once communication planet Mercury and the Sun move into Pisces on the 10th and 18th respectively. Pisces is your friendship and group sector. This is positive for networking and following up your best ideas. It’s an indication to recalibrate the work/life balance to ensure that life hasn’t become all work and no play.
The Full Moon on the 19th falls across the social axis of your horoscope and the star signs, Virgo and Pisces. This could bring in a new romance or love affair or perhaps you’re hanging out with your kids, grandkids or children you know well.
Both the New and Full Moon this month have support from other planets, which means that support is at hand. Reach out to others whether you’re seeking fun, advice or inspiration. The bonds you make in the second half of February are likely to last and it’s a great time to join a new club, group or society.
2019 may not have begun in the way you expected but that’s not to say you can’t start to put some of your plans and ideas into action this month. Think of February as being the new January and expand your life in a good way.
Finally, if you’re looking for love on Valentines, the 14th, it looks as if you’re the one who’s going to have to do the running. Mars in your star sign Taurus fires up your libido and there’s definitely a chance to satisfy your sensual nature. Take the lead in an intimate relationship.
