If all goes well, I will be sitting on a beach in Italy watching this weekend’s Full Moon – it will be at its fullest on Sunday night. During last month’s Full Moon, I was in the UK with cloudy skies, as friends from Greece & Spain sent me gorgeous photos of the Scorpio Full Moon.
I’m hoping for clear skies in Italy along with an aperitif or two. This is the perfect Full Moon to be abroad as it falls in Sagittarius, the sign of the traveller. If you’re not visiting distant places, then use this glorious Full Moon energy to dream, explore and plan ahead.
This week’s Full Moon is part of the moon cycle which began with the New Moon two weeks earlier on June 3, 2019. The fortnight between the New Moon and Full Moon favours growth, action, new plans and ideas.
Once the Full Moon culminates in the night sky, there’s time to pause and contemplate how far you’ve come. What is complete in your life, where is praise and acknowledgement due and what have you achieved?
During this Full Moon, the Sun and Moon oppose each other across the Gemini/Sagittarius axis. Both signs are youthful and spirited, linked to education, knowledge and travel. Be informed during this Full Moon, expand your learning and seek out meaning and purpose in life. Gemini’s curiosity stirs Sagittarius’ vision, its ability to look ahead, to see the bigger picture and make future plans.
During the Full Moon phase, the light of the Moon shines brightly on any situation, and you can align head and heart to make an intuitive decision with clarity. This Full Moon is powerful for celebration as Sagittarius is a star sign that knows how to let go and live life to the full.
Sagittarius’ ruling planet is Jupiter, the biggest planet, adding to Sagittarius’ love of life. Having Jupiter, the planet of luck and good fortune as your ruling planet is a good thing and Sagittarius is a star sign that makes a natural entrepreneur. They are enthusiastic risk-takers, visionaries and their optimistic nature means they trust and have faith, they believe in luck. Use this Full Moon to make some clever moves in your own life.
The planet of truth and justice, Jupiter, strives for a better world. It represents the law, publishing, the media, religion, philosophy and the higher mind. Jupiter is currently caught up in a dynamic planetary pattern with Saturn & Neptune. You can read more about this here: What Are You Hoping For?
This is a powerful time to trust where life is leading you. Now’s not the time to play small or stay put if you want to spread your wings. Sagittarius encourages big moves, freedom and adventure. Find yourself a wide open vista and allow your thoughts to wander and dream.
Also, events now could be connected to a turning point back in April. This is because on April 10, 2019, Jupiter turned retrograde at 24 Sagittarius, close to this week’s Full Moon degree. If you have key planets/angles on or around this point in the zodiac, you may feel fired up and ready for action. This applies to 24 degrees of the three fire signs, Aries, Leo, Sagittarius and the three air signs, Gemini, Libra, Aquarius.
Plus, in two months’ time, Jupiter turns direct in Sagittarius on August 11, 2019. So, there’s a possible connection between this Full Moon and Jupiter’s turning points. Notice what’s happening in your own life now and whether Jupiter’s movements could prove synchronous for you.
Here are the areas of your life under the cosmic radar during this week’s Full Moon in Sagittarius:
Sagittarius – image, self-identity, personal goals – relationships, other people, a third party
One of the major planetary aspects of 2019 kicks in again this weekend. This combines expansive Jupiter with boundless Neptune, co-rulers of star sign Pisces. Plus, Neptune is currently turning retrograde, so this mid-year connection is especially strong.
Jupiter is God of the Sky and represents expansion, opportunity and foreign connections, while Neptune is God of the Sea, a cosmic, illusionary and dreamlike planet. These two planets first came together on January 13, 2019 and reconnect on September 21, 2019.
Jupiter & Neptune
The fact that both planets are in their signs of rulership is important as they are currently a strong influence. Jupiter in Sagittarius is the traveller, the explorer and can channel its expansive nature into beliefs, learning and wide open spaces.
This is an ideal planet/sign placing for big-picture thinking, vision and quests. Fire signs, like Sagittarius, bring passion and joy into the world. They are spontaneous and optimistic.
Neptune’s domain is the world of escapism which includes poetry, music and art; love; drink and drugs; spirituality and mysticism. Pisces is a sensitive, empathic, dreamer star sign, sometimes impractical and gullible. Neptune’s world is glamour and inspiration, based on fantasy rather than reality.
Hope & Faith
Put the two together and this combination sweeps you along on a wave of euphoria, it’s boundless enthusiasm. Anything is possible when Jupiter and Neptune combine forces.
At its best, you have a vision to go beyond what’s possible and/or a huge capacity to care for others and that includes everyone, whatever their creed, race or background. You want to see the world, save the world or sail the seven seas. Jupiter and Neptune working together combine hope with faith.
Obviously, there is a flip side to the square aspect because this combination can also be overblown, out of control, unrealistic and away with the fairies. As Neptune rules the dream world, expect your night-time dreams to be especially weird and wonderful.
The Saturn Factor
There is a mitigating factor which reins in this gorgeous yet boundless wave of enthusiasm and optimism. This is Saturn in Capricorn, also in its sign of rulership, linking both planets. During this mid-year connection, it’s super close:
Jupiter Sagittarius semi-sextile Saturn Capricorn – June 14, 2019(17:28 GMT+1)
Saturn Capricorn sextile Neptune Pisces – June 18, 2019(12:47 GMT+1)
Saturn in Capricorn is the practical realist, who works out what it takes to climb the mountain in front of you. Big journeys require food and minimalist packing alongside trust, hope and faith. Saturn’s already on the case. He’s working out the budget in advance, setting up the safe base & strengthening those foundations.
When I was thinking about this extraordinary astrology, I came across a statement by the late, great Jonathan Cainer. Jonathan (b. Dec 18, 1957) was an inspired astrologer, with the Sun and Saturn in Sagittarius. Also, he was born on a Jupiter-Neptune conjunction, so he’s the perfect spokesperson for this current wave of astrology. Here’s what he said:
Hope can give us strength, yet it can also cause us to be weak. When we hold on to a reasonable hope, we find courage to proceed through difficult territory. When we hold onto unreasonable, far-fetched or wildly optimistic hope, we can end up dwelling for too long in a place we ought to leave.
How fitting for our current trio of planets, Jupiter, Neptune and Saturn working hand-in-hand. Wise words to bear in mind as you navigate your way through this week’s exciting astrology.
Take a big leap, have hope and faith but keep it real.
We are entering a period of some furious, passionate astrology. Therefore, it’s the ideal time to recognise what you’re furious about. More importantly, channel it and do something productive with your passion and fury.
You only need to glance at the news or social media to find something to be angry about and there are a lot of us venting our feelings. Here’s the line-up of current planetary activity that’s making a lot of us a little bonkers and hopping mad:
Mars Cancer opposite Saturn Capricorn – June 14, 2019 (16:50 GMT+1)
Mercury Cancer opposite Saturn Capricorn – June 16, 2019 (15:00 GMT+1)
Mercury conjunct Mars [21 Cancer 31] – June 18, 2019 (17:04 GMT+1)
Mercury Cancer opposite Pluto Capricorn- June 19, 2019 (11:56 GMT+1)
Mars Cancer opposite Pluto Capricorn – June 20, 2019 (04:26 GMT+1)
The key planets are Mercury (communication) and Mars (passion/anger). They unite three times over the next few months in three different star signs, Cancer (June 18), Leo (July 8) & Virgo (September 3). When Mercury and Mars unite, it’s time to ‘walk your talk’, speak your mind, get things moving, be pro-active. These are the two planets associated with speed and action.
The most potent conjunction of the three is the current one. This is because Cancer is a cardinal sign, one of the leaders of the zodiac. Mercury and Mars meet at a significant place in the zodiac, 21 degrees Cancer and they are triggering the karmic nodes this weekend.
20-24 degrees Cancer/Capricorn is important because it’s where the current eclipse cycle is active. Plus, the two bully boys of the zodiac, Darth Vader and his mate Lord Voldemort, the Men in Black, Saturn and Pluto, are lining up at the same degrees in Capricorn.
As you can see from the planetary sequence above, Mercury and Mars are both opposed by Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn within the space of a week.
Women v. Men
Looking at today’s news, you can already see examples of how this symbolism is playing out. Firstly, I read an article about the Women’s World Cup and criticism of the US team who’d beaten Thailand 13-0.
There’d been some comments by men berating the women for continuing to celebrate the goals. As was pointed out, this was the World Cup, not a friendly or low league game and, therefore, the highlight of many of these women’s careers. To score in a World Cup is a memory that will never die and should be celebrated.
Abby Wambach, former US soccer player, was furious and rightly said, ‘stop judging these women with patriarchal glasses’. Cancer is the star sign most closely linked to women, as it’s ruled by the Moon. Cancer’s opposite star sign, Capricorn, is ruled by Saturn, symbol of the patriarchy.
The journalist writing the article concluded: ‘It doesn’t matter whether you’re on a soccer pitch or in a boardroom – being a woman means constantly battling impossible double standards’.
The Old v The Young
Inequality is an obvious symbol for the current clash – women v. men, also the old v. the new and the old (Saturn) v. the young (Mercury). Traditionally, Cancer rules babies & children, whereas Capricorn rules old people. Which leads me neatly on to another issue that’s caused uproar in the UK.
The BBC’s decision to means-test over 75’s and no longer offer free TV licenses to the older generation. More fury all round. In fact, there’s a petition doing the rounds for everyone to switch off their TV on June 21st in protest.
And, don’t get me started on the fact that the next Prime Minister of the UK is going to be chosen by a group of pensioners. This is because the only people who can vote are members of the Conservative Party and half of them are over 55. Do the young people in this country have a right to be angry? Yes, I know a lot of teenagers who were furious that they didn’t have a say about Brexit.
So, it goes on. And, of course, there are more serious protests taking place around the world, Hong Kong, for example. We are at a peak period when there are likely to be flare-ups, more passion and fury about rules and regulations and the ultimate control of the authorities, the power elite (Saturn/Pluto Capricorn). The old ways aren’t always right and must move with the times, which is where protests, freedom of speech and democracy come in.
What are you furious about?
What are you furious about? Where do you feel passionately in life? How can you make a difference? This isn’t easy astrology by any means so it is important to stay safe and know when to back down. Vitriol and violence aren’t the answer, although with Mercury (words) and Mars (war) being triggered, you can expect some people to react badly.
Mercury and Mars are gathering strength this summer and working together. Right now, they’re active in Cancer, a compassionate and caring star sign, one that favours human connections over rules, regulations and power. An ideal time to get on your soap-box, vent your fury and channel it as a force for good.
This week begins with the New Moon in Gemini, the sign of duality. Gemini rules communications which means this is a big week for talk, conversation and negotiations.
So, find yourself a friend (or an enemy), have those all important heart-to-hearts and use the dynamic New Moon energy to start the ball rolling, initiate a conversation and get things moving.
Here’s all you need to know about this month’s New Moon. Seven ways to make the most of this lively Gemini star sign energy.
1. Be still during the exact time of the New Moon. It’s ideal for meditation, active gratitude and thinking ahead.
2. Make a wish on the crescent moon. This will appear in the night sky a day or two after the New Moon date. When you first catch a glimpse, set your intentions for the coming weeks. Write them down, say them out loud. This is the time to use the pro-active energy of the New Moon.
3. Pick up the phone, send an email, fire off a text. This is an excellent time of the month to book an appointment, line up a meeting or interview or apply for a job or new role. Gemini’s nature is quick and lively. Use witty repartee to get yourself noticed.
4. Read a book, do puzzles, study something new, go back to school. Being curious is a key Gemini trait. Research proves that using your mind and brain power keeps you youthful and engaged in life. Master a language, hone your skills, keep learning.
5. Gemini’s ruling planet, Mercury, is also in Gemini during the New Moon, However, it won’t be for much longer as Mercury moves swiftly and is right at the end of the star sign. Therefore, another reason to be spontaneous and speedy. Ideally, make your move before Mercury leaves Gemini on June 4th at 20:00 GMT.
6. Think back to May 21st, when there was a Sun/Mercury conjunction at 0 degrees Gemini. What started as a seed back then could begin to flourish right now. Gemini rules siblings and neighbours, also your local community. Which people are foreground in your life and how can you use your connections to benefit one another?
7. Change your mind. Gemini is one of the mutable star signs, changeable and restless. Most Geminis have a flip side to their nature and don’t always say what they mean. Doing nothing, however, isn’t an option at the Gemini New Moon. Take action, even if it means switching allegiance, changing sides or playing devil’s advocate. Gemini’s the trickster who keeps everyone on their toes.
The quicker you get things moving as June begins, the better. Although, this might depend on your current situation. Perhaps, you’ve been incredibly busy recently and you’re ready for the fast pace of life to slow down a little. The astrology suggests that you are slowing down throughout June, or at least you’re wise to as the month progresses.
This is all connected to what’s happening with your ruling planet, Mercury. As June begins, you have Mercury on your side, strong in Gemini and its sign of rulership. Mercury’s only in Gemini until the 4th, but this does coincide with a New Moon in your star sign on the 3rd.
New Moons are a symbol of new beginnings. In Gemini, this offers a chance for you to speak up, get yourself noticed, make things happen. When planets are in Gemini, this is about your image and profile, how other people see you. It’s also about your personal goals and aims. Starting a project that’s dear to your heart, for example, or implementing new ideas and fast.
The stars are on your side as June begins. Get in step with the Gemini vibes and put yourself first. Enter a competition, ask for what you want, write things down. Your star sign, Gemini, is linked to writing, so journal, get yourself published, pen a letter to your family or friends.
On the 4th, Mercury changes star sign and moves into Cancer, where it remains until the 27th. Mercury joins Mars here, so there’s a lot of dynamic planetary energy in this sector of your horoscope. Mercury rules communication and Mars rules action. This is ideal for walking your talk, especially with regard to money matters.
Cancer rules your personal money sector. It’s about your possessions and assets, your values and self-worth. You might choose to speak up about what you’re paid. Or perhaps, you’re discussing options regarding your home and what you own or earn.
This planetary activity peaks on the 18th when Mercury and Mars come together. On its own, this is great astrology for getting ahead with money matters, whether you’re in key negotiations or keen to earn more.
However, the astrology from the 14th to the 20th is challenging because Mercury and Mars run into the formidable planets, Saturn and Pluto, in Capricorn. Capricorn is your joint finance sector, so this can be about inheritance or investments, savings or debts, mortgages or taxes.
This could flag up a challenging situation as Saturn and Pluto are authority figures. When you’re aware of this astrology, you can see that this would not be the time to get embroiled in a law-suit or difficult tax situation.
You might have to justify what you’re paid or fight for what’s rightly yours. Or perhaps, it’s a time when you’re determined to pay off a debt or cut ties so you’re no longer financially dependent on a third party. Expect to negotiate hard if this is a key financial period for you.
The karmic nodes are also part of the picture and you do have the north node next to to Mars and Mercury on the 12th and 15th respectively. Therefore, if you know you’re in the right, you have the flow of destiny on your side. Watch out for a chance to turn the wheel of fortune in favour of your financial situation. You need to be bold and courageous to do so.
A much easier influence throughout June is the entry of Venus into your star sign, Gemini, on the 9th. Venus rules love and relating, also money and abundance. Venus is the planet linked to art and beauty.
This is another nod in the direction of looking good and feeling good. You may be keen to engage a personal stylist or be considering a new look. You enjoy the good things in life when you have Venus in your star sign.
This could also be a peak month for love and relationships. In fact, there’s a lot happening in this sector of your horoscope. Venus is lighting up your attractiveness and popularity sector. Plus, your partner planet, Jupiter, is currently in Sagittarius and your relationship sector.
Jupiter’s here for most of 2019, encouraging you to prioritise and create the relationships you want in your life. This might mean breaking free from a relationship that’s not working out or chasing across the world to declare your love for someone in your heart.
Romance & The Full Moon
The key date for love this month is the 17th when there’s a Full Moon in Sagittarius, Jupiter’s star sign. Full Moons promise completion, a culmination and they shine a light on your current situation. This would be a gorgeous date for a proposal or wedding or to meet someone for the first time. If you’re in a relationship or married, prioritise love and declare your affections.
Romance is in the air mid-month because of the Jupiter-Neptune square on the 16th. These two major planets met on January 13, 2019 and meet again on September 21, 2019. This month is their second meeting.
Wherever you find this pair in your horoscope is where dreams can fly high, where you can take a leap of faith. Plus, Neptune is the romance planet. It’s compelling symbolism for embracing love.
It’s not only about love and personal relationships, however, because Neptune is in Pisces and your career sector. Therefore, this is about business partnerships too or an opportunity to fulfil your career dreams and chase after your true vocation.
In fact, this is a key month to get carried away, especially if you have been feeling disillusioned of late. Neptune’s the veil which sometimes distort reality. Plus, there is a financial factor here too as Saturn in Capricorn is pulled into the mix. On the 18th, Saturn and Neptune connect and on the 21st, Neptune turns retrograde.
Put all this together and you have to do the sums, work out the financial reality of a big goal or dream. Some of you may choose to chase the money or do the right thing financially. Or perhaps, you find yourself in the right place at the right time to let go of the ties that bind and fly free. See what occurs and notice when and where you’re in flow with life.
Finally, your planet Mercury moves into Leo and your communication sector on the 27th. It won’t be long, however, before Mercury turns retrograde and retreats its steps through the zodiac. June starts quickly but by the end of the month you’re slowing down. Get in step with the universe and maximise your chances of success.
“What are you waiting for?” is a good question to ask as June begins. The Sun is in Gemini and the most hidden sector of your horoscope until the 21st, the day of the Solstice. This turns your attention inwards. It’s often a time of preparation or quiet and solitude.
Certainly, you’re wise to create some space in your life so you can listen to your inner voice and get in touch with your natural instincts. Being one of the water signs, this is your strength, to listen to your gut and trust your feelings. You can only do this properly when you allow yourself time to be still.
Reading helps too. In fact, some of your reading material may be deeply stimulating and inspiring while there’s a strong emphasis on Gemini. You can learn more easily and find answers through other people’s words.
This month’s New Moon also takes place in Gemini on the 3rd. This is an excellent time to set new intentions and draw up goals and plans for the future. Mind-mapping would fit the symbolism or journalling and writing things down. Find space for yourself, either just before the New Moon or the couple of days after the New Moon. It’s a powerful planetary energy helping to move you forwards.
Plus, one day after the New Moon, communication planet, Mercury, enters your star sign, Cancer, on the 4th where it remains until the 27th. Mercury joins action planet, Mars, in your star sign and this powerful duo are cooking up a storm throughout June.
This combination can help you walk (Mars) your talk (Mercury). Together, these two planets are ambitious and go-getting. In Cancer, they highlight your image and profile and how other people see you. This is about your body and physical goals.
Also, Cancer rules your personal aims and projects that are dear to your heart. This is a great month to initiate new goals in your life and to get things moving and fast.
The trickiest period is the 14th to the 20th when Mercury and Mars clash with the formidable duo, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. This combination feels like opposition or limitation in your life. Capricorn is your partnership sector, so you may be up against a tough boss or an authority figure, someone who says No to your plans.
This might be about love and relationships too and needing to speak up for yourself. When you have key planets in Cancer, this is your opportunity to put yourself first and ask for what you want. Don’t let other people take charge or control of your life, if it’s not serving you.
This period could also flag up the areas of life where you and someone close differ. Even in the best relationship, you can never expect to be 100% in agreement. In fact, how boring would that be? As it’s not easy astrology, however, this combination could expose the areas where one of you isn’t prepared to compromise.
Do what’s right for you. The karmic nodes are also in action during this period and the North Node sits next to Mars in Cancer on the 12th and Mercury in Cancer on the 15th, three days before the two planets are side by side.
You might be in a situation where you see the wheel of fortune turning rapidly, whether you meet someone who’s part of your destiny or you let go and move on. It’s powerful astrology.
Also, the planet of love and relating, Venus, is in Gemini from the 9th onwards. So here too, there’s a hidden theme when it comes to love. Dig deep to unearth secrets this month and don’t be afraid to ask those all-important questions.
Jupiter & The Full Moon
Another key event for you is the Full Moon on the 17th. Being a Sun Cancer, you’re ruled by the Moon and you often feel the phases of the Moon and its changing seasons more acutely than other people.
The Full Moon tends to be a time of deep emotion. In astrology, it represents completion and culmination as matters come to a head. You see things clearly and the Full Moon brings clarity. This is why it’s a good time to make key decisions, release and let go.
This month’s Full Moon falls in Sagittarius and your work and health sector. These areas of your life are under the cosmic spotlight mid-June. In fact, there’s a lot going on here thanks to big planet, Jupiter, also in Sagittarius.
Jupiter’s in this sector of your horoscope for most of the year. This means it’s an excellent time to look after your health and focus on your lifestyle and well-being. What you do on a daily level impacts on many different areas of your life.
Wheel of Fortune
This month, however, Jupiter in Sagittarius is square to Neptune in Pisces on the 16th, the day before the Full Moon. These two planets met on January 13, 2019 and they meet again on September 21, 2019.
There’s often a lot of hype involved when Jupiter and Neptune come together. You might be looking at a new work opportunity, a job that takes you abroad or be keen to pursue a long-term dream or goal.
As long as your plans are cemented in reality, there’s no reason why you can’t fly high and dream big this month. A partner or third party is involved somehow. They may be the anchor that keeps you rooted to the ground and/or the catalyst for your next steps in life.
As a Sun Cancer, you have a vivid imagination and the period from the 16th to the 21st is your chance to look at the whole of your life and conjure up some new ideas, goals and excitements.
Plus, the 21st is the day when the Sun enters Cancer and we witness the Solstice. This year it could be the start of something truly special. Prioritise yourself and stay focused on the one thing that matters to you the most. You’re entering a key period of change when the wheel of fortune turns and lines up a new path of destiny.
The Sun, your ruler, is in Gemini until the 21st. Gemini rules your friends, social connections, your networks and group interactions. It’s a time when people matter to you and you’re wise to extend your reach and make the most of the people in your life.
This will mean different things to you depending on your current situation. Know that this is a good time to engage with other people, whether you’re expanding a business or you’re ready for more fun and laughter. You could be embarking on a social mission or want to have your say in politics, the environment or humanitarian concerns.
The New Moon falls in Gemini on the 3rd, a symbol of new beginnings. This would be a great date to consider joining a group, club or society. This might be an influential step for you, helping you meet people who can help you make progress in life. Or perhaps, you’re doing this for social reasons and want to pick up a hobby, skill or talent that you’ve lost in recent times.
On the whole, this month’s astrology is urging you to do more of what you love in life and to consider how you spend your time. This is also the theme of Jupiter in Sagittarius, a key feature in this year’s astrology.
Jupiter is the big planet, expansive and linked to good fortune. Sagittarius is a fellow fire sign, lucky and fortuitous for you. It rules romance, children & pregnancy, entertainment and creative projects. Most importantly, it’s what makes your life fun. As a fire sign, play and joy are integral parts of your life.
If your life has been out of balance recently, it’s time to realign the scales. You may have been working too hard or spent too much time alone. You might be single and realise you’re keen to meet someone new. This is one of the best months of the year for dating and meeting new people.
Also, you have Venus, the planet of love and relating, in Gemini and your friendship sector from the 9th onwards. Another nudge that suggests love and friendship are linked in your life. A great opportunity to ask for introductions and make new connections.
Back to Jupiter, which isn’t acting alone this month. Jupiter is currently in cahoots with Neptune in Pisces and these two planets make a square aspect on the 16th. This is their second meeting this year. They came together on January 13, 2019 and meet one last time on September 21, 2019,
Wherever you find these two planets in your horoscope, this is where you can take a leap of faith, where dreams can come true. Both planets are strong in their sign of rulership.
Allow yourself to be romantic this month, in all senses of the word. It’s about love, on the one hand, but it’s also about tapping into something greater and finding inspiration out in the world. Allow yourself to dream big and see what emerges.
Work & Money
Money is part of the picture as Neptune is in Pisces and your joint finance sector. This is about shared resources, so you may be fundraising this month, perhaps for a children’s organisation. Or you might have other charitable goals that tap into the generous side of your nature.
If money’s tight, you do need to consider carefully what you invest in and how you’re going to pay the bills. Be aware that Neptune is the planet of illusion. Keep your feet on solid ground and don’t lose sight of reality as you allow yourself to dream what’s possible.
The Jupiter- Neptune vibe is strong on the 9th/10th, also the 23rd/24th but it peaks close to the Full Moon on the 17th. This time of the month could be hugely emotional for you, even overwhelming. It’s potentially exciting but once again, find a way to stay grounded. If you are in financial difficulty, even more important that you put strategies in place to help you moving forwards.
Saturn is the key planet in this respect as Saturn in Capricorn unites with Neptune in Pisces on the 18th. Capricorn rules your work and lifestyle sector. Therefore, you might be keeping the day job for now or know that you need to boost your physical fitness as a priority.
Consider what this means for you. Saturn is the anchor that holds the Jupiter-Neptune fantasy in place. It’s the nuts and bolts of the situation that can turn the dream into reality.
Rest & Retreat
There will be times this month when you doubt what you’re doing or where you’re heading. Communication planet, Mercury, joins action planet Mars in Cancer from the 4th to the 27th. This turns your attention inwards and often indicates a key period of preparation.
Try not to spend too much time being introvert or quiet, unless it’s helpful and releasing for you. Some of you may be processing deep emotions during this period.
Plus, Mercury and Mars run into the formidable duo of Saturn and Pluto from the 14th to the 20th. This could flag up where limitations lie. You might be dealing with a personal issue or a period of low energy. Perhaps, you’re caring for someone close and need to put other people’s concerns before your own. Issues at work could also be the reason for concern.
The release comes on the day of the Solstice, the 21st, when the Sun, your ruler, enters Cancer. This brings with it illumination, insight and a softer, gentle vibe. Put any arguments or disagreements behind you and focus on your needs, your well-being. Slow down the pace, be kind to yourself and others. Let go of what’s not working out and consider where any key changes are needed.
A Sun/Uranus connection on the 27th coincides with Mercury’s move into Leo, your star sign, on the same day. However, Mercury will switch direction early next month. Even more reason to retreat and take the pace slow.
It’s all stations go as June begins. Although, by the end of the month you’ll be ready to slow down or needing to slow down, for one reason or another.
Starting at the beginning of the month, your planet, Mercury, is in its other sign of rulership, Gemini, Gemini rules your career and vocation, your future path. Admittedly, Mercury is only here until the 4th but it does coincide with the New Moon in Gemini on the 3rd.
New Moons are a symbol of new beginnings and an ideal time to set your intentions. Gemini is the sign at the peak of your horoscope. Therefore, this is not only about your career and vocation, also your status and reputation. You might be ready to launch a new project, start a new job or take on a new role of responsibility.
The Sun remains in Gemini until the 21st, the day of the Solstice. Therefore, you’re wise to keep the impetus going at work and prioritise this area of your life. Plus, on the 9th, the planet of relating, Venus, joins the Sun in Gemini, where it remains until the end of the month.
Friends & Team Work
Venus in Gemini is great for networking, team work and getting on the right side of the people who count. Socialise with work colleagues and do your bit to create a harmonious working environment.
People are important this month, in more ways than one. This is shown by the fact that your planet, Mercury, enters Cancer on the 4th, where it remains until the 27th. Cancer is the sign that rules friendship in your horoscope and group connections.
Mercury joins Mars here and this is a dynamic planetary duo. It’s where you can walk (Mars) your talk (Mercury) and there’s likely to be excitement in this area of your life. You might be engaged with a new group of people or be keen to extend your social circle. Or perhaps, you’re involved with a group close to home that’s actively helping other people.
Together, Mercury and Mars are an active force and it’s a good time to speak up for what you believe in. However, the period from the 14th to the 20th is undeniably tricky and heated. This is because Mercury and Mars run into the formidable duo of Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. You could find yourself up against an authority figure or your own plans and goals hit a brick wall.
This is also about your social life and the groups in which you’re involved, whether social, political or humanitarian. Capricorn rules children in your life too. Therefore, you may have an issue with a child or parenting. You might be grappling with child support or an ex about visiting rights. Consider your own situation and what this means for you.
The turning point comes on the 21st, the day of the Solstice when the Sun moves into Cancer. This brings light and insight to the picture. It helps you move on from any difficulties or tension, to let go or release your emotions.
It’s not an easy path to navigate because it’s about what you believe in or what you feel deeply about. Hopefully, the Sun’s move into Cancer can shift your perspective. Alternatively, turn to a friend for advice or guidance. What you don’t want to do is to get stuck in whatever’s not working out. Instead, find a way through.
Jupiter Neptune Dreams
There’s another key influence this month and the two may be related or separate. Again, it depends on your current situation. The other important planetary factor involves Jupiter, the biggest planet.
Jupiter is currently in Sagittarius, the sign at the base of your horoscope ruling your home and family. It’s here for most of the year. At its best, Jupiter in Sagittarius is a symbol for moving or expanding your home or family. Where you find Jupiter, you often find new opportunity and fulfilment in your life.
Jupiter isn’t acting alone this month, however, because on the 16th, Jupiter clashes with Neptune in Pisces. These two planets first came together on January 13, 2019 and they meet once again on September 21, 2019. This is their second meeting, the middle connection.
Both planets are strong in their sign of rulership and both planets are in personal sectors of your horoscope. Jupiter in Sagittarius highlights your home and family and Neptune in Pisces highlights your close relationships, personal and professional.
This combination shows where in life you can take a leap of faith. It’s where you have dreams and plans for the future. This might be to extend your family, care for the ones you love or move to your dream home. You may want to marry and settle down or find a way to create the ideal relationship, one that suits you. This could be long-distance or living in separate homes.
Full Moon Vibes
This all coincides with the Full Moon on the 17th cutting across the Gemini/Sagittarius axis of the horoscope. Full Moons are traditionally full of emotion and bring completion or culmination. Therefore, you might be celebrating during this time of the month, perhaps a family anniversary or wedding.
Alternatively, you might be saying goodbye to someone close as they set off on their adventure. Or, there could be big news on or around these dates. The birth of a baby perhaps or a pregnancy.
You may find that events in your own life feel overwhelming. Plus, it’s worth noting that the planet of romance, Neptune, turns retrograde on the 21st.
Therefore, illusion is a key theme and you have to work harder to discern what’s real and what’s not. Fantasy and illusion need to be analysed in the clear light of day. Use your earth sign instincts to know whom to trust and whom to avoid.
If in doubt, take time out or a step back. On the 17th, your planet, Mercury, enters Leo and the most hidden sector of your horoscope. Mercury is currently slowing down as it turns retrograde early July.
This is your cue to stop and think and create time and space for yourself. Whatever is foreground in your life right now, this isn’t the end of the story. You may soon be retracing your steps.
Your planet, Venus, starts the month of June in contemplative mode in earth sign Taurus. Venus is here until the 9th and Venus in Taurus highlights your joint finances and shared resources. You may be actively engaged in making more money or perhaps you’re enjoying a time of abundance.
Either way, this is a gorgeous transit for improving your situation and/or investing your money wisely. Some of you may be considering a home move or be paying out money to enhance your current living space. As a Sun Libra, you benefit from harmonious surroundings, both in your work and home environment.
Expand Your World
There is another pull, however, that’s calling you to expand your world and broaden your horizons. This is connected to the Sun’s move through Gemini, a fellow air sign, where it remains until the 21st, the day of the Solstice.
Plus, on the 3rd, there’s a New Moon in Gemini, a symbol of new beginnings. This is an excellent date to book or set off on a trip, sign up to a course or learn more. Travel and study are the key themes highlighted when planets are moving through this sector of your horoscope.
A New Moon is gorgeous for setting your intentions, initiating projects and coming up with new ideas. This may coincide with a legal matter or a bid to get yourself published. Gemini rules religion, the Law, the media, as well as higher education, travel and holidays.
This vibe continues throughout June for you. This is because on the 9th, your ruling planet, Venus, also enters Gemini where it remains until July 3rd. This confirms you’re seeking inspiration in life throughout the month of June. Whether you’re searching for answers or meaning or you’re considering new opportunities and experiences, now’s not the time to choose the safe option in life.
Instead, this is a gorgeous month to take a risk and try out something new and different. Allow yourself to be inspired by other people and put yourself in the way of fascinating ideas, lines of thought and beliefs. You might do this by attending talks, reading books or mixing with an interesting crowd. The lines of communication are wide open, so see where they lead you.
Full Moon Vibes
It’s confirmed that this is a key theme of the month for two other planetary reasons. Firstly, the Full Moon on the 17th cuts across the Gemini/Sagittarius axis of the zodiac. This highlights the education and knowledge sectors of your horoscope.
Full Moons are a time of completion or culmination. They bring matters to a head and offer clarity and insight. Use the light of the Moon at its fullest to trust your intuition and make key decisions in your life. This is about using your heart and your head, both of which are intricately entwined at the Full Moon.
Tests & Learning
Also, there’s another powerful influence concerning the big planet, Jupiter. Jupiter spends most of this year in Sagittarius, the sign linked to travel and study. In your horoscope, Jupiter lights up your personal study sector. This is about all forms of communication, including the written and spoken word.
You might be spending some of your time filling out application forms or be planning a presentation or talk. It works both ways, i.e. it’s a good time to be a student and to hone your teaching skills. Also, Jupiter is currently retrograde, i.e. in retreat. Therefore, this month could be when you’re taking exams or tests that will prepare you for the next stage in your life, later this year.
Harness Your Dreams
Jupiter is in cahoots with another planet this month, romantic Neptune. Neptune is currently in Pisces and your work and health sector and Jupiter and Neptune unite on the 16th. This is the second time they’ve met this year. They came together on January 13, 2019 and they meet again on September 21, 2019.
This is a square aspect so it can be over-the-top and overwhelming. However, both planets are in their signs of rulership. Therefore, this is where in life you can take a leap of faith and dream big.
For you, this is about these areas – communication, networking, your working life and lifestyle. It feels creative, whether you’re writing a novel or drawing up new ideas and plans to boost your own well-being or help other people.
It is important, however, that you take the necessary steps to turn a dream into reality. It’s not going to happen if you only live in your imagination. Make time at home to write things down, to journal or meditate. Create space in the day to work on your goals.
The Jupiter-Neptune vibe is strong on the 9th/10th and 23rd/24th as well as around the Full Moon. There could be some uncertainty around work or perhaps this applies to someone in your family.
Career Goals & Obstacles
Also, there’s another key planetary pattern pulled in to all of this which involves Mercury and Mars in Cancer and your career sector. Mercury joins Mars here from the 4th to the 27th and this is a peak period to aim high and act fast to make progress. Mercury and Mars together are a symbol to walk (Mars) your talk (Mercury).
This could be an exciting time for the next stage in your life, when things happen quickly. Keep up to speed with what’s going on and keep close tabs on what’s expected of you. It would be easy to miss something during the mid-month period, however, or find yourself unable to complete a deadline or commitment.
The trickiest time is from the 14th to the 20th when Mercury and Mars are opposed by the formidable duo, Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. This pits your professional life against your personal life, your home life.
There might be real limitations why you can’t get ahead. You may need to take other people into account – your parents, children or a partner. One person in particular could be directly opposed to your plans. Or perhaps, your home situation isn’t ideal and a necessary move comes at a difficult time.
The turning point comes on the 21st, the day of the Solstice, when the Sun moves into Cancer. This brings insight and illumination. It helps you to find a way around any obstacles or limitations, to stay on your path. Do whatever’s needed to move your life in the direction that’s right for you.
Money is where the action’s at this month, as it was last month. Continue to work on new ideas to earn money, invest money, pay off debt or update your financial transactions. It’s worth making the time to do so, especially as the month begins.
Up until the 4th, communication planet, Mercury, remains in Gemini and your joint finance sector. More importantly, there’s a New Moon in Gemini on the 3rd. New Moons are a symbol of new beginnings. They are a great time to set your intentions, initiate action and get things moving.
From the New Moon onwards, you’re wise to be proactive around money, to negotiate hard and make swift progress. The Sun remains in this sector of your horoscope until the 21st, the day of the Solstice.
Plus, on the 9th, the planet, Venus, joins the Sun in Gemini and remains here until early next month. Venus is one of the planets linked to money, also indulgence and abundance.
Luck & Finances
Plus, there’s another key planet in the mix which, hopefully, will bring a little bit of luck your way. That planet is Jupiter, expansive and protective, linked to good fortune and opportunity in life.
Jupiter has spent most of this year in Sagittarius and your personal money sector. Therefore, this is a good year to be visionary around money, to take risks and use the timing of astrology to good effect.
This month, Jupiter is especially active and the key date to note is the 16th. This is one day before a Full Moon on the 17th cutting across the Gemini/Sagittarius axis of the zodiac which highlights the financial axis of your horoscope.
Full Moons on their own bring heightened emotions, sometimes drama. They represent completion and culmination. Things can flourish on the Full Moon and it’s a key time to make decisions. Engage your head and your heart during the Full Moon and view your situation with clarity.
Back to Jupiter and, the day before the Full Moon, Jupiter in Sagittarius is square to Neptune in Pisces on the 16th. This is important because the Full Moon falls in Sagittarius and Jupiter rules Sagittarius. Put all this together and it feels fortuitous as if the wheel of fortune is turning.
The Jupiter-Neptune square first took place on January 13, 2019 and they meet again on September 21, 2019. This is their second meeting, the middle connection.
Wherever you find these planets, it’s where you can take a leap of faith and where you’re prepared to dream big. For you, this is about money dreams, hopes and wishes. It’s a speculative combination and Neptune in Pisces is linked to luck. That’s not to say you should bet your life savings on a horse or poker game. Yet, it is a good time to trust your intuition, your natural instincts.
Know Your Stuff
Plus, there’s another planet involved which is Saturn in Capricorn. Saturn teams up with Neptune on the 18th and this is what grounds the over-the-top, enthusiastic Jupiter/Neptune influence.
Saturn in Capricorn can represent the teacher, the wise soul. It suggests the knowledge or experience you need to make the right moves. It’s also about being in something for the long run, being patient and persistent.
Consider what this might mean for you and where you’re trying to expand your horizons and do things differently. In some shape of form, you’re going to be engaged with events or projects this month that will impact on you financially.
This might be a legal case, a contract or negotiation, a joint venture or partnership. You’re right to trust your luck but, at the same time, ensure you have all the information at your fingertips and know your business inside-out.
Widen Your Horizons
The law is one area that’s definitely under the cosmic spotlight this month. This is because your planet Mars is currently in Cancer, the sign that rules travel and study in your horoscope, also the law, publishing, media and religion.
Mars has support this month from communication planet, Mercury, which is in Cancer from the 4th to the 27th. These two planets together are a dynamic combination. You can walk (Mars) your talk (Mercury) and make things happen fast.
You might be involved in planning a trip or course or be teaching and actively helping other people. This is a good time to put in the necessary groundwork that will help you make progress in your career in the future.
Up Against It
There is a tricky period, however, when you could be in a stressful situation, whether you’re up against a tight deadline or working hard to meet a commitment. This is the period from the 14th to the 20th, when Mercury and Mars encounter Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn.
This could flag up where your limitations lie. Or perhaps, it’s the voice of authority challenging your path. Ensure travel documents are up-to-date, double check paperwork if you’re planning a course and don’t leave anything to chance.
You may need to push extra hard to work things out. The point of release comes on the Solstice, the 21st, the day when the Sun also enters Cancer. This can bring insight or illumination or a third party who clears the way ahead.
Use your contacts well, especially on or around the 27th. This the date when talk planet, Mercury, enters Leo and your career sector. Note, however, that Mercury’s slowing down and turns retrograde early July.
Therefore, you still have a way to go before your career takes off or you can move on at work or with regard to your vocation. In the meantime, you might choose to take a step back, go on holiday and have some much-needed breathing space.
