When you meet Sneha, you realize that all why all filmy characters are inspired by real people. And meeting Aniket just adds a method to that madness. They decided to get married at the majestic Chomu Palace of Jaipur and it was one destination wedding to remember! The journey started with her Mehendi ceremony on a calm afternoon at the palace
The palace was beautifully decorated with the shades of red, orange and yellow!
And there was Swapnil, the second most excited person at the wedding after Sneha!
Sometimes you can have your cake and eat it too
And that was how Sneha’s Mehendi ceremony was. Next day was the arrival of Aniket’s family. Aniket and his family were Marathi, originally from Nagpur but they’ve been living in Indore for the past 30 years or so. It was going to be a cross-cultural wedding with a mix of both sides’ traditions and customs. But of course, when you’re in Rajasthan, you’re welcomed like Rajasthan!
And look at those faces!
Settling in after the welcome, for the big evening ahead, we had a look around the venue as well!
But before the evening, there was Bariksha event for both of them and the venue couldn’t have looked more gorgeous!
Meanwhile Sneha was getting ready to join Aniket!
And there came the familiar smiles!
But we stole them away from some quick portraits at the Sheesh-Mahal
And she was also being introduced to the Marathi traditions!
Before they were down for the evening, the sun was just about to set and the light was perfect. We again stole them to create those timeless portraits of both!
Frames + Emotions = Magic!
With the sun setting down the horizon, the party was just about to get started!
And then they made that blockbuster entry!
With a special performance from both moms & dads
And it was time! No prizes for guessing who was the most excited..
We could totally see that happening
And while everyone thought it was over, it was not!
With a surprize from all their family members who emoted their whole story so far with songs and dances!
And it was time for both of them to hit the stage!
And of course, what all friends were waiting for!
And while our feets were literally paining form all the running around, we didn’t want to let go of the opportunity to create some epic portraits again for both of them!
And some family portraits too, with our signature touch
Whew! That was one crazy day. However, the next morning was her Haldi ceremony which was not going to be anything less!
And we started with meeting Aniket who just got ready for the big day!
But nothing gets completed before mom gives those finishing touches right?
And so was Sneha!
Just before making that entry, it was again time to create some of those timeless portraits of her getting ready!
And with the special request of Sneha to create this one, we managed all the running around while being yelled at being late for the wedding. All for this one-shot
And it was time for the Baarat!
While Sneha couldn’t have looked more stunning!
And if that wasn’t stunning enough, she also made this grand entry!
Meanwhile, fist bumping your best friend at the wedding!
And we stole them away again to make some Epictures!
When Sneha told has they don’t have any good family picture together, we created one for them right there
And the groom squad with all the swag!
And then it was finally time for the feras!
Since it was a mix of two cultures, all the ladies were dressed in traditional Marathi lavani attires!
With the bride herself too!
And with Swapnil’s negotiations with Aniket, their wedding commenced!
And that was Sneha & Aniket’s magical destination wedding in Jaipur. From Magica, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts to make us a part of this celebration and we hope these memories just grow better with time
What do DDLJ, Kuchh Kuchh Hota Hai and K3G have in common? Shah Rukh Khan? Well that, and the fanboyism of Niti!
Niti, a Bollywood fangirl who always had this vision of making photos in the filmiest style one fine day wrote to me about this and I immediately knew that for once, I’d have the opportunity to create exactly what I’ve always wanted to! We did tons of planning, lots of permutations and combinations, travel arrangements and everything else together and I’m going to take you along to show you what came out as the result.
Kabir, on the very early morning which was our schedule to shoot at the Taj Mahal told us about his secret plan that he had in store to surprise Niti and we had to keep everything undercover while making everything else seem normal. What was it? We’ll see later
So that fine morning there was Niti in her gorgeous yellow lehenga, Kabir in his ethnic sherwani, the epic Taj Mahal filled in the background, subtle winds flew and this is what we made:
With every passing minute, the sun was rising from the horizon. And turned out, we planned it just right too!
With the colossal Taj Mahal filling the background, shooting Niti and Kabir was absolutely surreal.
With sunlight hitting just Niti’s eyes, I loved how this one turned out.
And as the sun ascended further, it was time for some more fun!
And how could we’ve missed Niti’s favorite DDLJ sequence once we were inside the Taj Mahal?
And while in most places we either dodged the tourists or chose the spots with less of them, there was a time where we just couldn’t. So I thought I might as well treat it as an opportunity
And that concluded our morning session of the shoot. Dead tired, we headed for lunch and little nap before going for the Plan B. However, there was another Plan B of Kabir which I told you about before. And the plan was to go down on his knee in front of the Taj Mahal and sweep Niti off her feet. The whole day we created our own code language that Niti didn’t understand and at the perfect spot and moment, it was time!
Niti had absolutely no idea about this.
And that was Niti & Kabir. One of the most fun people I’ve ever worked with. And I can’t wait to shoot their wedding and create another Bollywood saga of its own kind
After the mesmerizing shoot at Taj Mahal, we were supposed to meet Niti & Kabir again in Chandigarh & Ludhiana for their sangeet & wedding. A 4-hour journey from Delhi to Chandigarh was all we had to get ourselves prepared for everything ahead for 3 days. While we arrived at the hotel, Niti was almost done with her mehendi. She wanted to get it done before others so that she could enjoy her own events later and didn’t have to sit around for hours. Having her friends around was a quick opportunity to make some portratis. And so we did!
Next morning it was time for the Sagan ceremony
The decor was breathtakingly simple & beautiful
As the evening arrived, it was time for the Sangeet night!
And Niti was looking stunning in her Sabyasachi lehenga!
And then they arrived!
And everyone went on for their dance performances!
With Niti stealing the show!
And then everyone joined in
With moments like these around!
As the sangeet night came to an end, we packed our bags and it was time for another journey to their wedding.
As the sangeet night came to an end, we packed our bags and it was time for another journey to their wedding. It started early morning with Niti getting ready!
While Kabir was also getting ready on the other side
Needless to say, she looked stunning!
Some last minute checks
And then we drove to the wedding venue. Though it was an Anand-Karaj, it wasn’t supposed to happen inside a Gurudwara. Instead, they planned it around an open-space with thousands of people around and everyone giving their blessings!
And after everything was said and done, we managed to steal them away again for some quick portraits
And that was Niti & Kabir. Two amazing & happy people who knew how to celebrate life.
One fine day, a very well written email hit my inbox and a bride to be enquired about the possibility of me shooting her very special and intimate 2-hour rooftop wedding at the Leela Palace, New Delhi. I instantly knew this was going to be worth it and she got a reply from me in 15 minutes. After couple of weeks of planning every single detail, it was indeed an affair to remember!
Tricia, a PR professional and a lady with a flair of attention to details tied the knot with Hemant who happens to fly planes to make a living. Right from their wedding card to decor, everything was a stunning blend of taste and elegance. Let me take you to this picturesque wedding starting from the stunning lehenga designed by Anupriya Grover.
The day started early with Tricia getting ready.
To the venue which was draped in shades of white and gold.
And it was time to start the wedding ceremony.
A glimpse of the stunningly elegant mandap decor!
There were special corsages of roses for the bridesmaids too!
Clearly, weddings have some complex rituals
And Tricia and Hemant took blessings of the elders!
Lots of hugs and some tears
Meanwhile wishes came pouring in other ways as well!
And that was Tricia & Hemant’s wedding. I’m so glad I was able to make memories for this amazing couple and I hope you felt what it was like to be at their wedding through these photos
