We strive to help women and men make the most of their wardrobes and feel confident in how they dress every day. Our real strength lies in giving our clients multiple ideas on how to wear the pieces they own, and helping them to invest in versatile new pieces to maximize styling opportunities and outfit options.
Maybe it’s the weeks and weeks of snow/polar vortex/pouring rain/grey skies that we’ve had here in Columbus, but always around this time of year I can’t help dreaming of SPRING! I am over the drab colors, chunky sweaters, and bulky winter clothing. Bring on the floaty dresses, feminine silhouettes, and COLOR!
Our spring break is a month away, and maybe spring is around the corner for you, so here is some inspiration on what I *hope* to be wearing in a few short weeks!
ALL the soft, colorful, feminine dresses! Here are some of my favorites:
Bold accessories: big resin earrings, colorful and unique headbands, and versatile straw handbags!
What are you excited to wear this spring? Are you traveling anywhere warm for spring break?
Hello 2019! I can’t believe the holidays have come and gone, and ReDress is back in full swing! People are starting off the new year with new closets and new clothes, and I love it!
Pantone announced its color of the year and it’s LIVING CORAL. (We have been recapping Pantone’s colors of the year going way back to 2012 – see links here!).
I’m excited about this one! I think coral is a color that flatters everyone, and can be worn now with greys, olive greens and plums, and looks SO good off of white, sage green, light blue, turquoise, and even bright colors for spring and summer! I love that this color can be found across all categories of clothing, accessories, jewelry, shoes, and of course make-up (and probably home trends, too!).
Here are some of my favorites right now. What do you think about coral?
Leopard for fall is about as groundbreaking as florals for spring, but we still love it! It’s big again this fall, and is an easy pattern to mix and match in your wardrobe. There are plenty of shoe and handbag options if you’re not quite ready to wear a leopard top or dress. Some pieces even have leopard details to them. This is a perfect transition pattern as well, helping to make your outfit feel fall-appropriate even when it’s summer temperatures outside. Here are some ways to wear leopard to help inspire you as we transition into fall!
Girls Night Out:
Wear to Work:
And here are some of my favorites for you to shop!
Welcome hot, humid weather (and for us in Columbus…rain?!)! With this weather it can be hard to figure out what to wear. What will keep you cool but still LOOK cool?? If you’re like most of my clients (myself included), you stand at your closet and reach for the same things over…and over…and over. So, I put together 3 different inspiration outfits on what to wear during these warm summer months: what to wear to work, every day casual, and nights out. Maybe they’ll remind you of something you already have in your closet! If not, I have the links to these items (and many others!) below.
Now is the time to incorporate COLOR into your work wardrobe! You probably have all of the neutral (black!) basics, so pair them with your brightly colored sheath dresses or pencil skirts for a summery office-appropriate outfit. Shop these items and more below:
Expand your summer wardrobe by wearing your dresses and blouses casually with flat espadrilles or sandals. Have fun mixing and matching colors and patterns! Here are these items and more:
It can be easy to throw on a dress or white jeans for a night out, but why not go for a midi skirt or even a romper? I love the neutral pieces paired with colorful accessories! Find more here:
Welcome May! Here in Ohio it seems to have gone straight from winter to summer, and I can’t say I’m upset by it at all! It was a long, cold winter, and people are emerging from their winter hibernation and are ready to socialize!
With the start of summer comes the invitations to parties – and often, it can be confusing on what to wear! I broke down party attire into 3 categories:
1. Daytime chic: easy breezy midi-length dresses are chic and appropriate for all daytime events. Pair with white flat slides (comfortable and versatile!), a fun straw bag and statement earrings, and you’re ready to go!
2. Evening casual: jumpsuits or white jeans and a fun top are appropriate for any casual evening gathering. Pair with wedge espadrilles (to give height but not stick in the grass), a tote bag and earrings.
3. Summer cocktails: let your favorite floral print dress make the statement and pair with strappy heels, earrings, and an interesting clutch.
Hopefully these outfits inspire you on what to wear to your own parties this summer, and I’ve included links to these pieces (and more!) below for you to shop!
What parties are you invited to this summer? Are you stumped by what to wear? Let me know and I can help you pick out a perfectly stylish (and appropriate) outfit!
