I didn't break her heart, and she didn't break mine - we broke each other's.
I never stopped loving her, but time and distance played its cruel role in ripping us apart three years ago when she moved halfway around the world. Now after all those endless miles away, she's returned...but I'm not the guy I was before.
Beautiful, kind, and loving, she's the same - my hope. The only one who can make a day better, who can make me feel again with one kiss, one touch, one night.
There's so much I have to put back in place now that I’m alone and on my own. Things I never wanted at the age of 25. When I receive an unexpected letter that might hold the clues to everything I desperately need to understand about my family, I'm sure I have to follow it. But that means leaving her once more.
She says she'll come with me, and having her by my side will unbreak my heart...or destroy it.
Andrew Peterson has recently graduated law school and is poised to follow in the footsteps of his father and brother in successful law careers. Before he can get on with the life that was set out before him, Andrew must come to grips with his past and learn to live without the girl he’s always loved.
Holland St. James has made a home in Tokyo. Her ex-pat parents live close by, this is where she went to nursing school, and now she has a the perfect job offer in the place she calls home. Now she has to choose between the life she’s alway imagined and man she’s always been in love with.
Andrew and Holland have been family friends for years. The summer after high school they became something more. But, as it often does, life got in the way of the two of them becoming a couple. The stars have aligned and once again they are in the same place at the same time. As much as they both want to be together, proximity isn’t the only thing keeping them apart.
This book is a real departure from what I have come to expect from Blakely. It’s not light hearted jokes about penis size, or couples getting caught in the act. This story is emotional and heart breaking. It’s also full of hope and lessons for how to heal your heart and move on when life happens.
I had a difficult time with story. I thankfully haven’t experienced the kind of loss in this story. There are no long lost loves from my past that could return with the hope of a love filled future. But, it is a beautiful story about the beauty of everyday life and the love that is all around us if we only just stop to notice.
Joe Arden and Erin Mallen true professionals and some of my favorite narrators. However, this book is different than most in the genre. There are part of this story that are difficult to hear because they are so raw with emotion. Arden and Mallen do such a wonderful job of bringing this story and its characters to life, it's sometimes difficult to tell if they are only just acting.

Even though Rage doesn’t blame him for what happen he still feels guilty.
