are you taking your daily dose of vitamin C?

It's been a rough year but I'm finally back! For many of you following me on my Instagram @hellotammylim Facebook, you'll know the major changes in my life this year. Change is inevitable, everyone adults up but you can make it yours. For me, 2019 was a change in many things - my health in particular.

Last year, I was weighing 83kg at one point but I am now at my ideal weight of 65kg (could've been better). I lost 13kg through dietary changes alone. No longer am I chasing fast food, stuffing myself with refined carbs and sugar. Instead, I take 30mins walk every day, manage my stress with breathing exercises and going for massages. For my diet, I eat a low carb diet consisting of whole foods such as vegetables and fruits.

I take protein (chicken, lean meats), healthy fats (extra virgin olive oil, nuts), avoid refined sugar, dairy, processed food and refined carbs such as rice, noodles, pasta, and bread. I also started taking health supplements that my body needs, such as Vitamin C which is really important for:
  • travelers
  • smoker
  • elderly
  • people under stress

a vitamin C a day, keeps the doctor away

I know what you're going to say, you can get vitamin C from fruits. Well, I know, but if you're a busy girl like me, how many oranges or fruits do you eat or squeeze to drink to get that healthy dose of vitamin C each day?

Vitamin C Deficiency
  • scurvy
  • bleeding gums
  • slow wound healing
  • frequent nosebleeds
  • split hair
  • dry scaly skin

Our body doesn't produce vitamin C so we must get it from outside-the-body sources such as oranges, mango, guava, citrus fruits, tomatoes, leafy vegetables and animal sources (meat, fish, eggs, poultry, dairy products). But because vitamin C is the least stable of all vitamins, it is easily destroyed during processing and storage.

Our body's vitamin C store can be affected by dietary intake, metabolic losses, renal "urine" excretion, and fecal losses.  It is also sensitive to stress. The first nutrient to be depleted in alcoholics, smokers, and obese individuals.

I can already pinpoint some factors that may have affected my body's vitamin c storage.

So what's a simple solution then?
I would recommend Bio-Life's Mega-C Plus Bioflavonoid. It's vitamin C in a sachet which I take to work every day, pour into a glass mix with water and drink. That easy!

(I have been taking this since I started Keto)

Why is vitamin C with Bioflavonoid important?

The Mega-C Plus Bioflavonoid is a high strength vitamin C in calcium ascorbate enriched with bioflavonoids. As vitamin C is water soluble, the bioflavonoids help to increase the absorption and utilization of vitamin C in the body. Those with a sensitive stomach or gastric issues, guess what? this does not irritate your stomach at all since the buffered Mega-C Plus Bioflavonoid ascorbate form of neutral pH.

  • strengthen the body health system
  • fight against free radical damage to the body
  • maintain general health
  • high antioxidant
  • collagen formation
  • helps maintain capillaries, bones & teeth
  • aids in the absorption of iron

a box of 30 orange flavor powder sachets
(1 month supply)

contains 1000mg vitamin C
(no added sugar!)

dissolve one sachet with 1/2 a glass of cool water (125ml)
and drink once daily with a meal

just like that, convenient right

Let me recap why I am recommending this. The sachets are easy and convenient to bring around, especially to work. It's a once daily dose, so you're not going to worry about anything else once you drink this at lunch. Since it's in sachet form, it won't oxidate. Those with a gastric or sensitive/weak stomach can take this. Anyone who's on keto, trying to cut down sugar intake or is diabetic the good news is there's no added sugar here. Easily absorbed, and it tastes like orange cordial!

You can get this from leading pharmacies nationwide, including Caring, Guardian, Watsons and independent pharmacies. A box would cost you RM55. Suitable for age 12 years and above, highly recommend those who lead a stressful life, travelers, elderly, working adults and those who need a health boost!

a birthday give for myself

Finally, I took the plunge to upgrade my trusty iPhone 6S who has been with me for 3 years. It's still a good phone, which is one of the reasons I'm such an apple fan girl. While it's a good phone, I feel the camera is lacking in times because everyone takes such great pictures these days with just a click of a button with their phone. I have been thinking to get a small point & shoot camera as my Canon 70D DSLR is much too heavy for traveling. I prefer to travel light these days because I don't want to stress about bulky or heavy pieces of luggage.

Considering I mainly use my phone for everything, I decided it's time to just get the latest iPhone XS 256GB. This is the largest capacity I've ever signed up for, I remember my iPhones don't go above 16GB, I always take the basic and then regret deleting apps and photographs as I go so this time, I'm going for 256GB and I WILL HAVE FUN STORING ALL KINDA APPS AND PHOTOGRAPHS + VIDEO.

It is super expensive, but I still wanted it so I signed for Maxis's Zerolution (installment plan) for 2 years. After buying it, I quickly went home fearing someone will rob my precious phone. It's the most expensive I've ever bought, more than my own MacBook Air! But as soon as I started using it, I've fallen in love with the iPhone XS. It's the best decision I've ever made!

The difference is so great because I was using iPhone 6S (dinosaur already). Just the processor alone was smoother, faster and better. The screen quality is superb and also bigger. I was watching videos and reading my manga in happiness. The camera in low light is great and I can't wait for my Korea work trip so I can snap lots of photographs.

I'm also planning to go to Gaya Island again this February to celebrate Baby G's birthday. So yes I'm excited and happy with my purchase. It's worth it!

And thanks to Otterbox Malaysia, I could dress my iPhone XS right away in a cute pastel casing with drop protection. Yeap wouldn't want my RM5,666 phone to be damaged, my heart would stop beating.

The fashionable Symmetry Series is sleek with a raised, beveled edge that provides extra protection for the touchscreen during face-down drops. Available in classic solids, trendy graphics, fully clear and clear graphics, it's the perfect fashion statement.

a birthday gift to myself, I deserved this!
(consoling myself lol)

I picked this Otterbox Symmetry Series #PartyDip
perfect for the party planner in me

my iPhone XS is in gold color yay
(so it matches whatever I have)

I'm giving away this cute pink with gold flecks casing

making a birthday splash

Back in September, I planned a surprise staycation over the weekend for my Althea team's team bonding activity. You see every month I'll bring the team out to bond, it was part of the Althea's team culture experience to build friendship and reward them for their hard work. This would be organised by the head of department (me one of them) every month. It was a perk that I believe every employee enjoyed. I in particular, love to organise gatherings and events so planning my department's team bonding became a fun ritual. Sometimes I like to drop surprises, and plan memorable activities at great length. When it's over budget, I would supplement with my own just to see my team happy.

the bar and the swimming pool

the vivid pool vibes and neon lights

My team has been wanting a staycation trip this year, and we couldn't go far. Hence, I scoured the internet to look for the best staycation locations in the city that would be Instagrammable, fun, different and most importantly accessible. Of all the hotels, I narrowed it down to the Kuala Lumpur Journal Hotel (mentioned before in an event post) and for the no.1 reason of all, their newly revamped pool floor called The Swimming Club.

welcome to the swimming club

not just for Instagram, you can swim here too

the city view from the pool

my team look happy right? expressions don't lie!

You may have heard of this hotel before, and seen the swimming club appeared in various editorial features because of it's retro concept e.g last month's Cleo magazine issue "Hot Up Here" (Nov). I liked how the owners put so much details into the makeover because it looks so damning good now. I love the swimming club's bright, colourful, retro theme with neon fixtures. It brought back the classic splash and pool vibes and transports you into a whole new world, right here in the heart of the city.

In other words, KL Journal Hotel's Swimming Club is a place where 70's Hollywood Pool scene meets Tropical Sunny Kuala Lumpur.
No wonder people and influencers are flocking to this place, just to catch a glimpse of the sun, pose for Instagram and bask in the good vibes. So much so that they have introduced a RM50 cover charge for non-hotel guests over the weekend and public holidays. Don't fret, the cover charge comes with a free drink - anything from the menu. This measure has been introduced to provide genuine patrons a good standard of service and environment.

the two birthday girls, Syahira & Sydney

happy birthday girls, mamasan loves you all

the surprise birthday cake (secretly arrange by the hotel)
yes need to pay, inquire within for the charges

the food is so good! From your popular Asian staples

to finger food and snacks aplenty

our watermelon mojito oh la la!
(F&B Manager Jimmy made this)

even the sauces are a delight

The fun don't stop there because the hotel always has something up their sleeve! From The Swimming Club Facebook, you can see either happy hours, 1+ 1 f&b promotions, poolside open mic nights and the weekly downtown sundown which  comes with sunset, ice cold cocktails, good food, good music and good vibes.

P.S: The poolside open mic music sessions are held every Thursday.

Since we had our staycation here, our check-in comes with a welcome drink at The Swimming Pool Club (fabulous). Many thanks to their hotel GM Ramesh and F&B Manager Jimmy who helped me planned the surprise poolside birthday party successful. My team was not only surprised, but they had so much fun that they slept throughout the night instead of going to Changkat to party. I reckon they loved it, because I saw many pictures on their Instagram *LOL*.

Overall, I highly recommend staying here and enjoying the facilities, if not just for the Swimming Club. The vivid ambiance and chill atmosphere really makes you want to come back again. Great for families, friends and couples. I'll be reviewing about the rooms next because I have a few good things to say about my stay :)

Where Is The Swimming Club?
On top floor of The KL Journal Hotel (Level 11)
No. 30, Jalan Beremi,
Off Jalan Sultan Ismail,
50200 Kuala Lumpur.
*5mins walk from Bukit Bintang Monorail / MRT Station

Pool Opening Hours: 7am - 7pm
Bar Opening Hours: 10am - 12 midnight
Call 03-2110 2211
Current drinks promotions: (subjected to change)
1 for 1 Cocktails/Mocktails between 5pm-7pm.
3 Mugs for RM50 (Tiger Draft).

I was lucky to purchase the Merdeka 2D1N Package at RM280++ in August. It came with breakfast, welcome drinks, late check-out and dining discounts at The Swimming Pool Club. We took advantage of that of course.

My Moodmojee Trail with Anchor Food Professionals

Last week I traveled to Coféology Café & Restaurant Malacca from KL to try out 6 new dairy beverages debuted by Anchor Food Professionals Chefs. You may remember some of their previous successful campaigns such as Say Cheese, PizzArt and Anchor Travel Cakes. These beverages claim to boost your mood, showcasing the delicious possibilities of dairy in beverages and bringing a sip of global trends to Malaysian consumers.

Address : Lot 21-23 Ixora Condominium,
Jalan Bukit Beruang, Bukit Beruang,
75450 Melaka, Malaysia.

Opening hours :
Mon-Fri 09:00 - 23:30
Sat & Sun 08:00 - 23:30
Tel : 06-232 9444

my fun experience at the Moodmojee launch in Malacca

exciting customers with new innovative drinks

Cofeology Cafe Owner & Anchor Food Professional Representative

Creative non-alcoholic beverages are becoming fashionable and popular in all the major culinary cities of the world. Inspired by Asian cheese teas, Jack Tan, Associate Foodservice Director of Anchor Food Professionals said, "We understand the versatile role diary can play in delivering great taste, texture and appearance in any form whether it's in beverage or cakes. Dairy is traditionally very popular with Western markets but this time, we wanted to play with local ingredients to give it an overall Asian taste and feel." He added "We are always looking at what's trending around the globe and strive to bring it back home to excite our business partners and ultimately, the taste buds of Malaysia. We have learned that creativity and innovation are as important as taste to consumers these days."

Moodmojee Map to the creamilicious drinks

Called the Moodmojee campaign, Anchor Food Professionals has started partnering with 15 local F&B restaurants and cafes, west and east Malaysia from November 2018 until January 2019 in phases. They will be showcasing the creamy beverage creations combined with the use of popular local ingredients such as kaya.

(Speaking of kaya)

Being a foreigner here in Malaysia, one of the wonderful things I've discovered in my gastronomical journey is the heavenly kaya. At first, I didn't know what it is, but after googling I came to admire the use of kaya in many of the local dishes here. Finding out that one of the beverages made use of that special ingredient got me excited! How creative I thought, a kaya beverage?

Kaya is a rich egg and coconut jam scented with pandan leaves. It is a typical Malaysian jam, but is also popular in Singapore, Indonesia (seri kaya), Thailand (sangkhaya) and the Philippines (matamís sa báo) - The Star

the 6 new dairy beverages to boost your mood

Cofeology Cafe & Restaurant, Malacca

Asian Fusion Restaurant Coffee Shop

All 6 beverages are available at Coféology Café & Restaurant priced @RM16.90 each. However, for a limited time only, the Café is running a promotion of RM13 per drink. Do go along and check out this multi-award winning establishment which also serves a halal modern menu boasting a combination of Asian and Western cuisines, accompanied by a cozy interior and relaxed ambiance. The selection of food we were served for lunch was of a high quality both in taste and presentation so pop in sometime and try for yourself I recommend. They also specialize in specialty coffee from 7 top producing farms around the globe and every member of their crew is a certified professional barista by the Specialty Coffee Association of Europe.

These 6 dairy thirst-quenchers are :

  • Kayanika Fusion
  • Chocolate Surprise
  • Pom & Grey Twist
  • Lemon Mint Meringue
  • Tangy Brew
  • White Chocolate

Sounds delicious already right?
So how does it boost your mode anyway?

Through the creative use of local ingredients which brings in an unexpected pairing to tickle your taste buds! Imagine this a burst of flavors coming alive in your mouth (attacking every angle). Anchor says this year's pairings bring the marriage of zesty, sweet, savory and salty flavors to the smooth and creamy textures in your mouth. Sounds like a food anime yeah!

I also notice the presentation of the drink is different as well, depending on the local partners. Very Instagrammable! For example, in Cofeology, the drinks came in mason drinking mug with an emoji sticker on it (see my photographs below).

Enuff talk now. I best share my review on these yummy drinks that I got to try from the Moodmojee launch in Malacca. I had the honor to taste each and every one there during my stay in the historical state of Malaysia, rich with heritage buildings, ancient landmarks, and colonial structures.

Kayanika Fusion

A milky drink that's sweet and creamy with traditional Malaysian ingredients 'kaya', 'gula melaka', 'pulut' and red beans. On appearance, this looked like the most appetizing and intriguing drink to me as it contains all my favourite sweet Malaysian delicacies and a slice of toast to add a bit of a crunch. It tasted just how I expected it to - creamy and milky not too thick and sweet with all the different ingredients combining to compliment each other. I predict this is going to be a big favorite amongst the locals. Unlike the rest of the MoodMojee beverages, you can't consume everything. Just a heads up I don't recommend eating the Pandan leaves! :)

Yuzu Chocolate Surprise

Rich iced chocolate mixed with tangy Yuzu (a type of citrus fruit found in Japan, Korea & China) puree and whipped cream on top rimmed with salt lemon cooling candy to finish off. This is a drink to tingle the taste buds of all you chocolate lovers out there it's like a chocolate milkshake with a hint of citrusy flavour. Personally, I felt the sweetness of the chocolate combined with the sourness of the yuzu puree didn't go down well on the palate but I guess it's an acquired taste that others may like.

Pom & Grey Twist

A flavoured cheese tea that is a refreshing concoction of mood-boosting Earl Grey tea mixed with pomegranate syrup, topped with a generous layer of chocolate cream and pomegranate seeds. Much different to the rest of the MoodMojee beverages, this is a lighter more revitalizing kind of beverage like a fruity flavoured tea blended with smooth creamy chocolate, ideal for a hot sunny day. Did you know that pomegranate seeds have some remarkable health benefits? Yes, these superfood seeds are packed full with key vitamins and minerals that are good for you and can help fight off colds, boost your heart health, give you more energy and even help reduce the risk of cancer! I envisage this will be a favourite drink for all you health conscious people out there.

Lemon Mint Meringue

A rich lemon mint vanilla ice blended, topped with fresh meringue and slices of candied lemon and orange, which is both a feast to the eyes and to the mouth. For me, as a lemon meringue dessert lover, I was looking forward to trying it and interested in what it was going to taste like in the form of a drink. To my surprise, it tasted just as good as the dessert form! The dollop of freshly whipped and torched meringue on top is sweet, soft and fluffy, melting in your mouth. Definitely one of my favourite Moodmojee beverages a must try!

Tangy Brew

Rich cold brew iced coffee mixed with the tangy freshness of orange with a mixture of cream and cheese foam on top. The 1st thing you notice when you take a sip is the strong rich coffee taste, immediately followed by the smooth texture of the whipped cream and cheese foam with a
citrusy aftertaste. If you're a fan of really creamy rich dark strong coffee, then this is the MoodMojee beverage for you. One of my least favourite on the menu, although you have to admit there's a lot of strong competition.

White Chococoffee

A dreamy blend of white coffee mixed generously with delicious chocolate and peanut butter. From the 1st sip, I could sense that this was going to be a sure-fire winner. I love this MoodMojee beverage it's my favourite because I love peanut butter, chocolate, and white coffee, so it ticks all the boxes! It almost has the same texture as a shake and with whipped cream, chocolate sauce and sprinkled chopped peanuts on top it tastes yummy! A definite must try!

you can discover the Moodmojee drinks at these locations

I'd like to say thanks to Anchor Food and Cofeology for inviting me along and hope to be involved again with any future campaigns. These highly Instagrammable Mood Boosting Beverages set to take the digital space by storm will be available at the following locations :

Peninsular Malaysia

Ho-Ho-Ho three cheers for all!

You know it's Christmas when Starbucks starts releasing their Christmas menu and merchandise! A big fan of their Toffee Nut Crunch Latte, I was singing Christmas jingles while waiting for my barista to fill it with whipped cream and sprinkle toffee nuts before I hungrily snatch it away. Yes, it's the season of merry ho-ho-ho and while we're in a multi-racial country, I do believe that Christmas can be celebrated by anyone who believes in Santa Claus, the scent of peppermint and gingerbread in the air, and the gift of sharing.

Speaking about sharing, here's one for Christmas! *sprinkles love* For all you Starbucks fans, this Christmas, Starbucks is celebrating the spirit of yesteryear with a modern twist!

Snowy Cranberry Latte | Toffee Nut Crunch Latte | Peppermind Mocha

Starbucks Snowy Cranberry Latte *NEW*
Nothing quite beats the cozy feelings you get when curling up by the fireplace while watching snow fall outside your window. Crafted to recreate this heartwarming moment, Starbucks is introducing the Snowy Cranberry Latte, a beverage that pairs the signature Starbucks® espresso with velvety steamed milk and toasted white chocolate sauce, topped with snow-like whipped cream and tart cranberry sugar for a festive finish.
Available hot, iced and blended.

Starbucks Toffee Nut Crunch Latte *RETURNING FAVE*
Ring in the Holiday season with the subtle caramelly sweetness of the Starbucks® Toffee Nut Crunch Latte, topped with whipped cream and a sticky toffee crunch. The rich buttery toffee flavors and aroma of toasted nuts make the perfect partner for Starbucks® espresso roast.
Available hot, iced and blended.

Starbucks Peppermint Mocha *RETURNING FAVE*
Indulge in the traditional holiday flavors of the Peppermint Mocha, a combination of espresso and steamed milk sweetened with flavors of chocolate and peppermint. Topped with whipped cream, mocha drizzle and candy cane pieces, this festive beverage is just too good to resist!
Available hot, iced and blended.

Let's not forget the roast coffee beans, shall we? *inhales*. Inspired by time-honored traditions, the Starbucks Christmas Blend is available this holiday for you brew a cup of good old times and talk about the merry moments. Three flavourful, beautiful blends for the picking - Starbucks Holiday Blend, together with Starbucks Holiday Blend Espresso Roast and Starbucks Holiday Blonde Roast packed in their timeless design, each featuring a Starbucks past which was also translated to their Starbuck's cup designs.

Starbucks Christmas Blends 2018

Starbucks Holiday Blend RM40.00
Anticipation is what makes this particular blend so tasty. That’s because the Starbucks® Holiday Blend’s magic comes from rare Sumatran beans that have been aged three to five years. In that time, they develop spicy, cedary and syrupy flavors that our roasters can barely wait for each year when they can create this blend.

Starbucks Holiday Blend Espresso Roast RM40.00
Explore the deeper, darker side of Starbucks signature Espresso Roast this season with it's cedary and herbal spiciness with an intense caramel sweetness.

Starbucks Holiday Blonde Roast RM40.00
For coffee lovers who prefer a more subtle flavor of warm woodsy aromas and soft spicy notes.

For a quick coffee fix, check out the Starbucks VIA Holiday Blend RM33. It is a pack of three instant holiday classics made from the same signature blend of rare aged Sumatran coffee with lively Latin American beans and mellow Indonesian beans.

Starbucks VIA Holiday Blend.

discover 4 Christmas cup designs, each with a symbolic meaning

Don't miss out the unique Christmas designs translated by Starbuck's yesteryear into 4 distinctive cups. From left to right, I'll list each design here for you (credits to Starbucks).

Stars often appear in Starbucks designs, even winking atop the Siren’s crown in the company logo. The illustration of a couple reaching up to place a star atop a holiday tree from Christmas Blend 1999 was the starting point for this year’s Stargyle design. Here the stars twinkle against a backdrop of interlinking diamonds in varying shades of Starbucks green.

On each bag of Starbucks coffee, there is a sealed seam that runs along the back, called a fin. Starbucks has been adding a contrasting color along the fin as a design element for years, and the team found a way to bring that design element to center stage. A take on the iconic red cup, the Stripes holiday cup features graphic bands of bright poppy red and a darker cranberry, accented with white pale rose gold. A ribbon of black, white and Starbucks green on the back ties all the four cup designs and reappears in merchandise and store signage and displays.

“The ribbon was born out of the holiday feeling of boxing holiday presents and wrapping paper,” Cameron said. “The holiday cups feel like these presents you want to unwrap. Each one is its own gift.”

Ripe coffee cherries have evoked festive holly on packaging over many years, including 2013 and 2017. In a nod to Starbucks coffee heritage, the Flora design features mint-green graphic leaves with pops of colorful bright red berries against a cream-colored background.

Espresso Houndstooth
Starbucks Christmas Blend Espresso Roast is known for its intense flavor and caramelly sweetness. Designers used fire to represent this rich, dark roast, and reimagined it as elegant flame in the red and white retro Espresso Houndstooth design.

Starbucks Planner 2019

How To Get The Starbucks Planner 2019?
I know everyone is crazy about Starbucks's planner every year but you know you have to drink 15 Starbuck beverages to get it?! Download the Starbucks app and start drinking your way to the 2019 planner. Alteya Organics 100% Pure Bulgarian Rose Water

A recent purchase got me falling in love all over again with roses. While I was looking for ways to de-stress and soothe my sensitive skin from the sun-again-rain-again weather of Kuala Lumpur, I found myself addicted to scavenging Shopee for hidden gems. It's then I found this 100% Pure Bulgarian Rose Water from Alteya Organics for just RM59 (np RM118).

The packaging says:
"Alteya's 100% pure, award-winning, steam-distilled rose water is made of fresh, organic Rosa Damascena blossoms - one of the most valuable and fragrant oil-bearing roses"

I don't think I could find this kind of price anywhere else for a rose water distill from organic damask roses from the rose farm in the heart of the Bulgarian Rose Valley (Europe). It's quite expensive in the market. Various brands sell rose water mist but I don't think I've seen a 100% pure organic rose water. This one has zero alcohol, preservatives, no added ingredients or synthetic fragrances/perfumes. We're talking about really just pure rose water here.

The benefits: (suitable for all skin types)
Rosewater not only smells lovely, but it also has many beauty benefits! You can use it as a:
  • toner to tone and balance the skin
  • face mist to hydrate & moisturize your skin
  • cleans & refreshes the skin and hair
  • detoxifies & helps prevent acne
  • gentle astringent to tighten your pores
  • rejuvenates, uplifting, energizing
  • brightens skin tone (high natural Vitamin C)
  • anti-inflammatory to calms & soothes the skin
  • food & beverage flavor enhancer (yeap!)

Alteya - Distills premium organic rose and waters using generations-old recipes. With proprietary steam-distillation method that marries 400 years of tradition with science, Alteya Organics is able to extract rose essences that are dermatology grade and retain the therapeutic properties and synergy of the plants.

A skincare grade product. It's made using traditional steam distillation process where the rose oil is carefully retained in the rose hydrosol (water) to ensure maximum beauty benefit. Each 200ml bottle contains up to 35,000 to 40,000 rose petals, the highest in the market. Certified organic by USDA.

How To De-stress with Roses

go to Chinatown where the wholesale florists
each bouquet averagely RM20 (more or less)

you can pick three rose color tones
they look beautifully mixed together

prepare a bowl of rose water + few drops of essential oils

mist yourself with rose water / make a rose water mask
clear your mind & enjoy the lovely aromatherapy
(and beautiful room with roses)

There are many ways to use rose water, I've tried misting my hair, body, and face with it. I even use it as a mask in the office by spraying on a cotton pad and putting it on my face. Here's what I gather from the page on the various ways you can use rose water. Since it's also pure rose water, it's safe to be digested too.

How To Use?
Cleansing, hydrating, and toning for all skin and hair types – a perfect finish for your daily cleansing and refreshing routine.
  • Soak a cotton pad with rose water and smooth over the entire face and neck.
  • Saturate a towel, warm up and apply to face to detoxify and clarify skin, and unclog pores.
  • Spray the gentle rose mist all over your body for instant moisture and freshness. Rejuvenates dull skin and calms after prolonged sun exposure.
  • Provides essential nutrients to hair and if used daily, significantly improves shine and natural luster. Spray daily.

- Perfect for all homemade cosmetics.
- Use this aromatic mist to soften and hydrate your skin and hair and indulge in the gentle rose aroma.

This gentle form of aromatherapy is suitable for sensitive people, pregnant women, and kids. The rejuvenating fragrance uplifts the spirits and harmonizes the mind. It has toning and restoring effect and enhances romance. Use as a bathtub supplement for stress relief or spray your room, bed sheets, and clothing.

Natural flavor-enhancement for foods and beverages. Add it to your exotic deserts, beverages, and cocktails. Great for flavoring ice creams and teas.

very convenient, just take off the cap & spray
(the texture if you're curious is just water, clear water)

made from Switzerland Miron glass bottle

The product comes in a box which I have discarded away but the bottle? It is heavy! Made from Switzerland Miron Violet Glass to protect the natural rose essence from sunlight to preserve and stimulate the bioenergy found naturally in the rosewater. I read that this is important since this is a paraben free product and that it's a natural distillate rose essence.

the rose fragrance is traditionally used to calm & uplift
it's also said to help with depression

My Review:
I love love love this rose water spray. It has so many beauty benefits for our body, hair and skin - even as a flavoring agent or to make homemade skincare with. More importantly, it's free from chemicals so it's safe for my skin. Since roses are one of my favorite flowers, this was a match made in heaven. The scent is sweet, smells like the real thing. Some people will find that off-putting because they're used to rose scents manufactured in the beauty market (artificially, chemically).

I use this every day to freshen and hydrate my face. It helps to soften my skin too (bonus points). For the promotional price that I'm paying now, I want to get a few more bottles + the one in Lavender (maybe good for sleeping).

You can purchase this from the seller skinsocietymy on shopee and Qoo10. They have many other products too apart from this range (yes not just rose water, there's rose cleanser, moisturizer, etc). I saw ampoules, hand creams, foot odour products too.

My Rating:
★ ★ ★ ★★

I'm super super super excited that I got my hands on the latest and first wireless earphone from Sudio Malaysia - the Sudio Niva. I was using the Sudio TVÅ White for a while and I have been thinking of upgrading to a wireless earphone since it's trending. Even Apple has gone wireless (iPods). So this was a sweet surprise and I even have a 15% discount code "TAMMY2018" to give out to my friends who want to go wireless and save some moolah.

The Sudio Niva is priced at RM425 and it's available in 4 cool colors, two of them perked my interest. White and Black are quite common, but look at the blue and pink it's so cute! Since most of my gadgets are in white, I went with the white again. It's also unisex so Baby G would be able to borrow it without feeling embarrassed.

Each wireless earphone comes with a built-in microphone and is compatible with Android and iOS. The sound quality is clear and crisp with a impressive bass. Overall good considering Sudio has been doing well with their line of earphones, this is the same you're going to get minus the pesky cords.

Packaged in a fashionable portable charging casing with a built-in 500 mAh battery that gives you 4 charges with each charge giving you 3.5 hours / total 17.5 hours of play time. The plastic casing does a quick charge in 10mins, a full charge in an hour.

The minimalist yet elegant Scandinavian/Swedish design and style, it is also sweat-proof with three different-sized silicone sleeves for most secure fit and comfort for your ears.

Check the instruction card on how to get started. I was struggling to get it to work since wireless earphones are new to me. In the end, I realized the earbuds works individually, you have to press them together for 3 secs until blinks blue on to Bluetooth sync with your laptop or smartphone.

If you're planning to make a purchase, then you're going to be happy that this comes Sudio is offering free shipping for Malaysia and a one-year International warranty for your purchase. A Sudio Guarantee Certificate assuring you that your purchase did not come from some black market copy.

They throw in additional gifts, a few months ago it was a tote bag but this time it's a pack of 4 Swedish design coasters to complete your Hygge lifestyle.

Overall, a very good choice for wireless earphone shopping. I love that its light, convenient and also minimalist. The sound quality is good, and it cancels out the noise (you would not be able to hear anything else when you have this on). I would love if it could last up to 6 hours instead of over 3 hours (hopeful for next version). I love the coasters, as you can see I use them as jewelry coaster on my vanity table. I bought cement, brass and all but I felt they scratched my jewelry. This cork type coaster does not!

For a limited time only, pay only RM361.25 this month when you check-out using my unique code TAMMY2018 for a 15% off the price tag from www.sudio.com/my.
Many thanks to Sudio Malaysia for sending this to me to review.

5 Steps to Glowing Skin

Everywhere you look on social media, you will see images of women with amazing skin. In recent years, the trends have changed from promoting mattified skin to helping people showcase their natural beauty. There are countless products that are released every day which promise to do wonders for every skin type. Regardless of the many beauty products you can use on your skin, it is also true that the best thing you can do for yourself is follow a healthy lifestyle. If you treat your body and mind with respect, this will soon begin to show in the glow on your cheeks.

Avoid substance abuse
There are lots of things people regularly consume which can lead to skin problems. For example, if you smoke, you may notice your skin looks dull and you break out more often. The same can also be said for alcohol and illegal drugs. While living without these substances is the healthiest route you can take, it can also be a struggle for people who have addiction problems. When this happens, completing sober living treatments will help you get your general health and skin health back on track in no time.

Drink lots of water
It is no surprise that staying hydrated can bring your body numerous health benefits, yet one of the best-kept secrets of drinking lots of water is how supple, soft, and clear it makes your skin. This is also a brilliant tip to follow if you suffer from dry skin, as it will reduce how many heavy moisturizers you need to use. If you are hoping to see results within a week, you should consider increasing your water intake by only a glass each day.

Eat plenty of vitamins
It should come as no surprise that eating certain foods can bring out a glow in your complexion. Ideally, you should be looking for foods that have a high vitamin content, and which are rich in anti-oxidants. These can mostly be found in fresh fruits, such as oranges, which contain lots of vitamin C. You can even go one step further to make fruit masks at home and apply these vitamins directly to your skin for better results.

Exercise regularly
When you exercise, lots of oxygen finds its way into your blood, where it is then carried to your skin. This can help your skin heal from any blemishes, but it can also help you look refreshed and glowing after you exercise. In many ways, it also enables you to sweat out any toxins that may be blocking your pores, to reveal a smooth complexion.

Spend time outside
Everyone needs a healthy dose of vitamin D to ensure their skin doesn’t look pale. Spending time in the sun ensures you get these vitamins, but you should always protect your skin from the weather by wearing sunscreen daily. Even if you are outdoors when the sun is hidden, the fresh, oxygenated air will help immeasurably, but only if you take precautions. This is often why experts suggest exercising outdoors, so that you can get as much oxygen delivered to your skin as possible.
