This wedding was a full on sun drenched affair with plenty of Portuguese family and friends, plus a colourful and very traditional Portuguese cock!!…I have to say the weather and the DJ went out of their way to make beautiful bride Elisa and her Portuguese family and friends feel right at home, the dance floor was buzzing with traditional dancing pretty much all night, such an absolute joy to watch!! Really nice to catch up with groom Chris, we worked together in a previous life, time has been so kind to you mate!! A huge thank you to Sue at Park Farm, hands down the best wedding co-ordinator in the business, Andy Chambers for second shooting for me, and to Orlando, a long time friend of the bride and a bl**dy nice bloke, for translating for me and organising the Portuguese family and guests, I couldn’t have done it without you all!!
I’ve been truly blessed this season as I’m enjoying a run of new venues for weddings, I do love a challenge!….and I’ve really been looking forward to this one for yonks! This time, it was the gorgeous little church at Sparham (with a wonderful lady vicar) and the truly breathtaking Mannington Hall, seriously, as a wedding photographer, you could spend weeks there and never get the same shot!! Add a brilliant couple and a splash of beautiful weather and its another perfect wedding!! Jo and Gavin never stopped laughing and smiling all day, and to be fair, neither did their lovely families and bonkers guests!! I won’t forget this one in a hurry, I’m so chuffed that I was asked to share your amazing day! Big shout out to talented saxophonist Alex Chadwick, dance floor legend and bearer of the illuminated sax, this guy was a refreshing change to the usual wedding entertainment!! Congratulations guys, it was a blast!!
The weather for Beth and Jame’s big day certainly wasn’t the best, but did that bother them?…NOT ONE ITTY BITTY BIT!! They enjoyed every wonderful minute of their very special day, as did their family and a massive group of friends!! We added a huge dollop of colour with a photo in front of some stunning graffiti nearby, and despite the rain, managed a very loud confetti walk…guests love throwing stuff and cheering! The best part of the day was during the first dance, the wedding party and a handful of friends ‘invaded’ the floor wearing ‘James’ masks….James hadn’t got a clue, and quite literally, didn’t know where to put his face!! An amazing day, I was absolutely blown away by the love and happiness that surrounded it! Congratulations Mr and Mrs Hallier, do enjoy your honeymoon! x
Thetford in Norfolk, home of all things Dad’s Army, Captain Mainwaring, Sergeant Wilson, Jones, Godfrey, Frazer and Pike are all very much alive here on amazing murals around the Dad’s Army museum, which is only a stone’s throw from where Natalie and Gary decided to tie the knot and celebrate!! What an amazing wedding, a packed church followed by wonderfully happy reception with lots of family and friends and a whole day of warm sunny weather….pretty much perfect I’d say!! So lovely to see Natalie and Gary enjoy their first dance with their own little bundle of joy, gorgeous little Lilly-Anne, she stole everyone’s hearts, sooooo cute in her little dress!! Congratulations to you both x
What a wedding….what a day! With the ‘feel good’ feeling off the chart, it was a day full of beaming smiles, happiness and joy!! Gorgeous bride Julia and handsome farmer Simon planned their day down to the last detail, adding their own touch by making pretty much everything themselves, including an amazing table plan made entirely from a pile of wooden logs!! Julia’s talents didn’t end there, oh no, hands up how many photographers have had the bride sing with their own band at their wedding? (me sticking my hand way up in the air!!)….what a voice!! This wedding was so good that a well known celebrity stopped by to offer his best wishes to the happy couple, it certainly made my day seeing Ed Sheeran and his lovely wife Cherry! A massive thank you to the insanely talented Andy Chambers (www.andychamberphotography.co.uk) for helping me out, (I hope Mrs C liked your selfie with Ed!!) and to Nicole at Bateman’s Barn for making the reception go like clockwork and for helping out with the sparklers, the blowtorch lighter was inspired!!
My first wedding of the season…and a very Scottish affair it was too…kilts, sporrans, and lots of heather everywhere I looked, I loved it!! Its always made even more special when the sun shines, and it really did too….I felt so sorry for Luke the groom, his smart uniform must have been like an oven!! I loved the singing in the church too, Rebecca’s little brother Adam and her Nanny Carol sang some traditional Scottish ballads, there wasn’t a single dry eye in the house!! Rebecca and Luke, massive congratulations to you both, it was a wonderful day, your wedding has set the bar very high for 2019!!
And so to my last wedding of a very busy 2018 season, and what better way to round it off than the wedding of Kirsty and Mark at the very beautiful Knights Hill Hotel near Kings Lynn! I don’t often recommend venues, but I was seriously impressed with Knights Hill and would encourage prospective couples looking for a venue to host their wedding to drop in and take a peek! Kirsty looked totally amazing in her wonderful vintage inspired dress and totally stole the show when she strode up the isle to meet hubby Mark! Their cake topper was also brilliant, such skills by the maker!! A certain well known TV character was also among the guests, such a lovely man, he gladly posed in lots of groups and selfies with fans of the show, see if you can spot him in ‘the ‘lads’ group shot….it must be lovely having a celebrity in the family!…the clue is…Eastenders!! Thank you for asking me to photograph your day guys, and for feeding me too, the food was spot on!! Enjoy your honeymoon! x
Cherie and Luke….what can I say?…what a simply amazing wedding!!! The weather definitely worked hard at trying to spoil the day at The Boathouse but failed miserably, it actually worked to our advantage as the ceremony and group photos took place indoors and gave it that ‘HELLO’ magazine celebrity wedding feel!! Such a warm and friendly family wedding too, it was lovely to meet you all! Congratulations guys, we simply loved every single minute of your wonderful day!!! massive thank you to Lizzie Norman for all your help too….love ya! x
Well, what Can I say about this wedding?…..how’s about WOWEEEEEEEEEE very loudly!!…such an amazing fun couple, gorgeous Carly and handsome rugged Stuart smashed their Boathouse wedding completely out of sight, they had not only the perfect venue, but perfect weather with a most amazing golden sunset, and a beautiful bunch of family and guests to help them along!! Totally enjoyed this one, fingers crossed another one like it will come along soon!! Massive thank you to talented tog Beverley ‘the bevster’ Harrison for helping out, the ‘secret’ doughnuts you bought with you were totally yummy!! Congratulations guys, enjoy your honeymoon…I’m guessing you are still buzzing!!
It’s been a little while since I’ve covered the ‘traditional’ church and gorgeous reception venue wedding, and what a simply wonderful way to remind me of how lovely they are!…beautiful Helen and handsome hubby Jason smashed their day out of the park and although Mr Rain made a brief appearance at their Brundall church ceremony, nothing was missed or spoilt later at the fabulous Langley Abbey! I loved the traditional kilts worn by Helen’s Scottish side of the family, luckily there was no cèilidh in the evening so no one could see the invisible pants worn under the kilts!! I also loved the DC and Marvel comics theme wedding cake, some serious cake making skills there, and all the boys wore superhero cufflinks to compliment it, Helen also wore an amazing Batman logo’d garter, modesty prevents me from showing a sneaky pic of it on her leg! It was an amazing wedding, warm and friendly family and guests to chat to, and the best boys and girls from Brasted’s to look after us all! Huge thank you to Nigel, your hosting skills are second to none!
