Grilled Cauliflower Salad is a great salad for winter, and also for spring. I have served this warm from the oven, as well as chilled overnight. It's addictive good both ways. I have to say I love it because the garlic just shines. You can play around with the dressing as you like.

Bitter Kumquat Marmalade ... when so little gives you so much! This is a marmalade I've been making for years each time the shrub in the yard gives me this citrusy fruit. Referred to as Chinese oranges, tangerines or narangis, they had little use other than just being an ornamental fruit when we were kids.

Orange Caramel Custard in yet another version of the quintessential ‘Caramel Custard’ that showed up on our frugal dessert table quite often when we were young. This one is slightly more luxurious, and not like the wobbly one we had as kids from the armed forces. It's also deliciously orange flavoured, the orange pairing brilliantly with the slightly burnt caramel. Steaming it in the pressure cooker is a breeze. Quick too!

The recently launched Havells Water Purifiers changed my perception of 'clean safe drinking water' completely. The very knowledgeable and passionate team at Havells held our attention, engaged us with eye-opening insights, and made us sit up and take notice.

At the heart of the technology is mineral fortification, a 100% reverse osmosis, tamper proof cylinders, neat dust proof designs that are DIY friendly, well-trained self-employed technicians {no franchise here, thankfully}, field staff given both technical and soft skills leading to a promise of quick response & resolution.

The quintessential Garam Masala Christmas Fruit Cake, one I bake every year. Fruit mince from scratch soaked in a gentle mix of orange zest, orange juice, garam masala, whiskey, brandy and rum. Not very potent yet pleasing enough.
