The Simple Salted S’more
Celebrate the last few weeks of summer with this tasty twist on a classic summertime treat.
Set up the classic s’more ingredients: Marshmallows, one Graham Cracker broken into two perfect squares, and at least three pieces of your favorite milk chocolate. Spread these out on the log next to the camp fire or that slate top by the fire pit. Perfect. But, wait, there is one more simple ingredient that will change your s’more game forever – jar of Salt of the Earth Co. pink Peruvian salt. Take a pinch of salt and sprinkle on top of the chocolate.
Then get to toasting. We like our marshmallows well done, crispy on the outside and gooey in – but you do you. Carefully slide those hot pillows of goodness on top of the salted chocolate and smash down the top cracker for maximum flavor.
Take a big bite, slowly close your eyes and come to the sweet realization that you have literally made the best s’more you have ever tasted.
Rinse and dry the peppers. Then drizzle a bit of veggie or olive oil over the top, mixing them around until coated.
Grab your trusty mortar and pestle and zest the lime into the mortar. If you don’t have a zester, do not fret. Simply take a pairing knife and cut off small pieces of the lime peel and finely chop. Pour a tablespoon or two of salt into the mortar. Grind the lime zest into the salt, which will also break down the salt into finer grains.
Now go outside and turn on you grill. Once the grates are hot, scatter the peppers over the grill making sure there is sufficient space between them. Turn the peppers periodically so they get nice grill marks with some slight blistering. Once finished, put the hot shishitos into a bowl for serving. Squeeze half a lime over the hot peppers (a nice touch is to also grill the lime).
Dip the hot shishito into your lime salt and take a bite. Right?! Super easy and super tasty.

At Pacha Soap Co., our mission begins before we help to provide soap, clean water and livelihoods with each purchase. We believe in sourcing sustainable and ethically sourced ingredients with a story, and our new Rosewater Froth Bomb is no different.
This Froth Bomb is jam packed with beneficial ingredients like rose water, rose clay, organic rose petals and Salt of the Earth Co.’s hand-harvested Peruvian pink salt.
Salt of the Earth Co. is a social entrepreneurial venture bringing the beautiful and naturally pink, hand-harvested salt from Maras, Peru to your kitchen, and now to your bath in the form of our Rosewater Froth Bomb. The salt is harvested from a pre-Inca salt mine called Salinas de Maras that is located along the slopes of Qaqawiñay mountain. It’s made up of nearly 3,000 salt pans, shallow pools that are filled by an underground spring called Qoripujio. Water from the stream fills the pools and evaporates in the sun, leaving a hypersaline residue that is then hand-harvested by local families during the dry season, May through November. The naturally pink salt gets its beautiful hue from trace elements in the spring water, including calcium, magnesium, silicon, and potassium.
We’ve paired up with Salt of the Earth Co. not only because of their beautiful salt, but also because they believe that you should give back to the people and communities responsible for the things you consume. Part of the proceeds from all Salt of the Earth Co. purchases will go to carefully curated charities in Cusco, Peru. Learn more here.

Charcoal Lemongrass Beneficial Ingredient: Activated Charcoal
Charcoal powder has antibacterial and antifungal properties. This powder rids skin of dirt, toxins, and environmental pollutants, while also helping to pull excess oils from skin. This helps your skin fight off acne causing germs, reducing inflammation, and keeping pores clean. Reducing inflammation also makes charcoal powder great for soothing bug bites, bee/wasp stings, and relieves itching. Charcoal powder has a slightly abrasive texture which helps to remove dead skin cells and reduce the appearance of acne scarring.
Coconut Papaya Beneficial Ingredient: Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
This oil is good for you inside and out. It is rich in saturated fats which helps to keep skin smooth and retain moisture content of skin by eliminating the loss of moisture through your pores. Some of these fatty acids do even more, capric, caprylic, and lauric acids have strong disinfectant and antimicrobial properties. Coconut oil is also very high in vitamin E, which is very good for skin. Vitamin E helps to repair wear and tear on skin, keep skin smooth, protect against cracking, and prevent premature aging.
Cucumber Seaweed Beneficial Ingredient: Arnica Extract
Arnica oil is what gives cucumber seaweed whip is added benefits. This oil made from a flower (Arnica Montana) and can help with a number of skin conditions including: eczema, skin infections, and frostbite. Its antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic properties help heal sunburns, wounds, acne, chapped lips, ulcers, and insect bites. Arnica oil can also be helpful soothing stressed skin and muscle soreness because of its nourishing qualities.
French Lavender Beneficial Ingredient: Unrefined Shea Butter
For the benefit of French Lavender whip, we will start with the essential oils that give it its name. Lavender essential oils have many great benefits for our bodies. It helps produce the body’s three most powerful antioxidants: glutathione, catalase, and SOD. Lavender essential oil has antimicrobial properties which helps prevent various infections and combats bacterial/fungal disorders. The antimicrobial properties also help speed up the healing of burns, cuts, scrapes, and wounds. Lavender also has a lot of calming effects, the essential oils can improve your mood, alleviate anxiety and depression, and help battle disruptive sleep. Our lavender whip also has shea butter, which is full of natural fatty acids and vitamins. These acids and vitamins help nourish and moisturize skin, making it a remedy for dry skin and helps protect the skin’s natural oils. Shea butter has anti-inflammatory properties because it contains cinnamic acid, which reduces skin inflammation and can be helpful with acne. Shea butter has a combination of acids (oleic, stearic, palmitic, and linolenic) which help aid our skin’s natural collagen production, this helps reduce wrinkles and keep skin soft.
Honeysuckle Rose Beneficial Ingredient: French Rose Clay
We added two different kinds of rose clay because of their wonderful benefits for your skin. Rose clay and french rose clay are both Kaolin Clays, meaning they are naturally occurring clays. Clays in general have very good absorbency, aiding skin by absorbing impurities, like dirt, makeup, or oil. The difference between clays is the amount of absorbency they have. These clays are both great for skin because they don’t rob your skin of all its natural oils that it needs. They are gentle cleansers and are good for sensitive skin because they are effective exfoliators without the irritation other exfoliators can cause.
Vanilla Almond Beneficial Ingredient: Manuka Honey
This whip has the benefits of two different kinds of honey: wildflower and manuka. Wildflower honey is antibacterial which means it helps treat against acne. It’s also full of antioxidants which helps slow down signs of aging. Honey is extremely moisturizing and soothing for skin but also clarifying by opening up pores and making them easier to unclog. While all honeys have these benefits, Manuka honey, which gains its name from the shrub the bees feed on, contains some extra benefits because its raw. Raw honey is packed with vitamins B, C, and live enzyme. Manuka honey has anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce redness and eczema. It’s a humectant, so it pulls moisture from the air while also helping add more moisture to skin. Manuka honey helps promote skin regeneration, repairing cellular damage, and lessening scarring.
