As a mom, I want the best for my kids, always. When I found out that my son was having trouble gaining weight at 6 months old, my life became all about helping him gain weight (read more about our experience here). Oliver is gaining weight really well now at almost 1 year old but he is still in the 5th to 10th percentile for weight. As a dietitian, I know the foods that are high in calories and nutrients for young kids and aim to give my son those foods throughout the day to help encourage him to gain weight. Read more »
Vanilla Berry Chia Seed Pudding takes 5 minutes to make and features layers of creamy vanilla chia seed pudding, frozen whipped berries and is topped with crunchy grain-free granola and berries for a protein, fiber and omega-3 rich breakfast! Have you guys tried chia seed pudding yet? I made it for the first time in the fall and got addicted! It is so, so easy to make and I love the texture. It is kind of hard to describe but I would say that it has a similar texture to overnight oats. I started making chia seed pudding for busy school mornings and make it frequently for the kids and I. Adalyn really enjoys it and even at around 6 months old, Oliver could eat it. I love knowing that the kids and I are getting omega-3 fatty acids, protein and fiber first thing in the morning to start our day. Read more »
1. National Nutrition Month SnacksI recently got to try a few fun snacks that I wanted to share with you: -Brooklyn Crafted Ginger Beer- I'm drinking the Sugar Free version right now which is made with fresh ginger and is sweetened with stevia. I think that it's super tasty and is a refreshing afternoon drink. I often turn to caffeinated tea or coffee in the afternoon and don't really need it and this is a better alternative. There are only 4 ingredients: carbonated water, fresh ginger, citric acid and stevia. So good! It would make a great mixer as well.

We recently had the chance to stay at Castaway Bay Waterpark and Hotel and had a great time! We went on a Sunday-Monday which was a so much calmer than our experience going on a Saturday night. If you have the opportunity to travel to Castaway Bay on a Sunday, I highly recommend it. The park is less busy and the restaurant had no wait which was super helpful with young kids.

My husband's family is Mexican and makes all kinds of delicious dishes and my whole family enjoys eating them.
1. Senita AthleticsI am a sucker for cute workout clothes and love the options that Senita Athletics has to offer. My favorite item is the Zara Crop Top which is the most comfortable and supportive sports bra. There is nice padding it in and it fits well without smashing your chest. I have basically been living in this for two weeks and it is comfortable enough to wear all day long. Highly recommend!

The first thing that my daughter does each morning when she wakes up is asks me for breakfast. Well, good morning to you too Adalyn! After we get ourselves together, go to the bathroom, get dressed and get the baby up and fed, it is time to head downstairs to make breakfast. At three years old, Adalyn knows exactly what she wants and almost everyday asks for yogurt. Of course not without her beloved chia seeds and granola!
Easy Apple Pie Bars feature a layered whole-grain flavorful crust with soft and gooey apples for the perfect simple dessert!
I love apple pie when the apples are soft, sweet and buttery. I made these Easy Apple Pie Bars after my mother-in-law created delicious apple pie bars for an event and I fell in love with them upon first bite. They can be eaten cold or warm- I eat them both ways and cannot decide which way is better.
