So it has been along time since I have attended any blog events due to ongoing health issues, however just a few weeks ago I was invited to Moonpigs Fathers Day event at the Cannonball Restaurant in Edinburgh and I knew I couldn't miss out, I would have dragged myself their if needs be! Moonpig are a brand I use regularly and think they offer a great and convenient service so was honoured to attend one of their highly rated events and couldn't wait to see what they had in store for everyone.
I invited my mum along with me, as my dad was unable to attend, however we both had an absolute ball and neither of us wanted to leave....
So firstly when we arrived we were offered a glass of prosecco while everyone turned up, and the chance to sit with everyone and interact. It was a great was to unwind and relax before the event began and we got chatting to a few other attendees which was lovely. After everyone arrived, we got a short presentation all about Moonpig, what they offer and some facts regarding their service which was extremely interesting. The presentation largely focused on how the relationships between father and child have changed over the past 100 years and what had changed, which was a great eye opener and really interesting to learn. However after the presentation, the fun began....
We were split into 2 groups, and sent to do some workshops. We got to do the card making first, which was the one I was very excited for as I am quite crafty and love all things cards. However this was no ordinary card session. We had the chance to be photo shopped into different scenes and backgrounds to add something extra to our cards, something which was a massive laugh and everyone really enjoyed acting out their scenes to make their photos the most fun! My mum and I decided to go for meerkats, so of course we acted out hearts out for the most effective photo (Oscar worthy I'm sure).
We then had the chance to use the photo to make a card and send it to whoever we wanted. Most people done a fathers day card, however as out card had the two of us in it, we decided to send my dad a thank you card for all he does for us. After typing in our details we sent our card off for him to receive in a few days. I am sure it will bring a smile (and probably a load of laughs with our acting) to his face!
After we finished making our cards (and a few extra photos for fum) It was lunchtime. The spread was delicious, and we had loads of different breads, meats & fish, along with a massive cheeseboard, and bowls of coleslaw and salads. It was delicious and my mum and I thoroughly enjoyed tucking in and filling ourselves up with grub!
After out lunch it was time for our group to head to the cocktail event. We worked with an Edinburgh Gin Cocktail expert to create 2 Gin based cocktails... which we got to drink afterwards, BONUS!
Our first cocktail was a Ginger and Rhubarb Highball, which I managed to get wrong (only me!). However I salvaged the situation and it tasted amazing! It used EG's new Ginger and Rhubarb Gin, and some Egg white and lemon juice to give it a little kick. It was insanely good and looked really pretty too!
Our second cocktail wasn't my favourite, it was a bit too strong for me, but it was still a lot of fun to make. We made a Perthshire Negroni, which is Gin, Campari and Sweet Vermouth all in equal measures. Yup, it is strong, but was fun to create and and try....
After filling ourselves up with cocktails, it was time for the most adventurous workshop, the food making!
I wasn't sure what to expect when they said 'food making' and I really couldn't have guessed it! We were welcomed to a table full of fresh oysters, ready for a class on how to shuck them. Yes I was surprised too but excited to try something I have never done before. After a quick lesson from the chief, it was our turn!
My mum went first and for someone who hates fish, she done a great job and was surprisingly a natural, who knew!? I wasn't as successful mind you, I really struggled but with some help and guidance from the chief, I eventually got there and managed to shuck an oyster! Neither of us like oysters, however the other guests were very happy to have them for us and enjoy them!
We then cooked and cut up some scallops, before getting a quick lesson and demonstration on how to create a cheeseboard. It looked amazing when he was finished creating the masterpiece and I really wanted to delve right in!
After quickly finishing our cocktails, it was time to go, but not before being very generously given a goodie box each to remember our day. I had an absolute ball at the event and although I wasn't feeling great it was the best day! I couldn't wait to get home to open the box and see what was inside!
I wasn't let down, when I got home, I cracked open the box and discovered a big ha,per inside full of goodies like shortbread, fudge, chocolates, oatcakes and teabags, along with a small jar of marmalade which I cannot wait to use. It was so generous and such a nice way to remember our day at the event.
Another massive thank you to the people at @moonpig and @slcolab for inviting me along to attend the amazing Fathers Day event. My mum and I had an absolute ball, neither of us wanted the day to attend and it was so much fun to try some different things and learn something new!
Who doesn't love a little pampering in their lives? One of my favourite things I love to do when I am feeling a little rough or in need of a little TLC is to sit with some of my favourite products and treat my skin to some goodness to keep it plump and healthy! It's something I always used to do with my mum before I moved house, as we both liked to spend some time together to treat our skin. Thanks to Nivea, I have picked some brilliant beauty items from Nivea that all mums I think would love at mothers day... Nivea offer so many varieties of beauty and skin products that are perfect for treating yourself or someone special in your life! These are just a few of my favourites;
You definitely cannot beat a classic good face moisturiser in your beauty collection, and I think this one from Nivea is a great shout for more mature skin!
Niveas Hylauron Celluar Filler Day Cream is a great option for all mums out there. The special and unique formula is perfect for keeping the skin youthful and strong, but also works brilliantly for all those mums with sensitive skin too! I know my mum loves this moisturiser, and with some added SPF, it is the perfect summer moisturiser, keeping the skin safe from any harmful rays and protected!
I think a good facial moisturiser is something that every mum would love and really can't go wrong with, especially one that works as well as this does!
For the mum who loves her make up, but want's her skin to still look natural and smooth, the Nivea Q10 Anti Age 3 in 1 Radiance BB Cushion. Its a great way to add some coverage and smooth out the skin while remaining light and flawless...
This is a great everyday product that can be put in your make up bag and used whether it is just a quick touch up to even out the skin, or used all over the face like a moisturiser to cover any lines or dark areas. It is also buildable, so brilliant at ensuring your skin doesn't look cakey or become too coated in make up, and great for all mums out there as a fail proof make up piece!
Unfortunately, my mum is much more tanned than I am, so I know this would be far too pale for her (envious, I know!), however I am sure I can give this to someone as a gift and they will love it this mothers day...
Lastly, to ensure the skin is clean of any make up or dirt built up from the day, a good make up remover is essential, and I know these make up wipes will do the trick!
The Nivea Professional Make up Remover wipes are a great way to clean the skin after a long day and remove any make up residue, without being harsh to the skin and keeping your face moisturised and healthy. The wipes have a unique formula to protect your lashes too, so you can remove that stubborn mascara without hurting or irritating your eyes, something I find I have issues with with a lot of other brands, especially due to my skin being quite sensitive.
I think these are one of the best brands of make up wipes I have used. Their is a big stigma around wipes that they aren't as good for your skin as bottles of product or other products, however I think these are great at doing what it says... removing even stubborn make up gently and carefully.
So how are you spending mothers day this year? If you are struggling for ideas, why not get yourself some beauty bits and have a girls day in! Thanks to Nivea, it is easier than ever and super affordable too!
To check out the whole Nivea range, head over to their website HERE! Their really is something for everyone...
Thank you to Nivea for the products to feature here on my blog. Although I was gifted the items featured, all opinions are my own and not influenced in any way.
I do love me a good drinking event, and when I had the chance to go back to one of my favourites last week, I couldn't day no! Ginfall is a gin festival hosted by Social and Cocktail which brings together different distillers from around the world in one room, allowing you to sample and try some new types of gins and liquors that you might have never tried or heard of before, perfect for discovering something new..
As I said, I have visited a Ginfall event before, as I was lucky enough to be invited to the Pollockshield event last March. I was also invited along to their Christmas event, however couldn't make it so when I noticed that the event was visiting Helensburgh, I knew I had to go along!
So our first post of call after arrival was to head straight to the bar for our complimentary welcome cocktail. We battled the bad weather and were soaked by the time we got to Victoria Halls, where the event was being held, so a little gin cocktail sounded fantastic...
It really was amazing, and the perfect way to start the afternoon. I also had a sneaky peak at their menu for the afternoon, where all the Gin cocktails were £7 and the Rum Cocktails were £5. Their was a great selection and a lot of seating so you were able to relax and unwind if you needed a break from sampling all the Gins. The seating area was also accompanied by a singer to add some entertainment too.
After out welcome drink, we had to try out one of the Gin infused cupcakes, which were calling my name. They were amazing and were super tasty... being someone with a sweet tooth, I couldn't fault anything about them!
We eventually started to walk around the main room and were ready to try out all the different Gins. My god was their a lot to choose from! We started working our way around the hall, going from stall to stall and couln't believe the variety of Gins their were. I tried them all, and definitely founds some favourites!
The Riverside Spirits had a great range of Gin Liqueurs and I absolutely loved them. I picked up some minatures from them last year, so this year decided to treat myself to a full bottle of their Violet Shimmer Gin, which honestly tasted amazing!
They also had a Perth Gin, Darnleys Gin and a great Pink Gin for anyone who can't get enough pink gin in their lives! I loved to sample them straight, then try them with the recommended mixtures, whether Ginger Ale, Tonic, or Prosecco... it really does change the taste of each gin!
After much Gin tasting, we decided to take respite back up at the bar and try a rum cocktail. They had a gorgeous craft stall full of vases and lights that had all been handmade from bottles if you wanted to purchase something a little more special to remember your visit. I thought this was a great idea and loved the concept, they really were beautiful!
We relaxed with the singer for a while before heading back down for round 2! The cocktails were really nice and full of flavour, which I found really helped cleanse the pallet ready for trying more spirits!
Pilgrims Gin was another favourite of mines, they tasted amazing and would make the perfect summer beverage! We also tried the Kings Hill Gin, which was another favourite of mines, they even created a minature cocktail for us to try using their brewed gin, it was incredible and everyone was loving it!
We also got to try some Whiskies too thanks to The Loch Fyne stand and for someone who doesn't like Whisky, they were amazing and tasted incredible! It was a good way to try something completely different.
This years Gin event had a Tiki Rum room, which I was desperate to try! It was smaller but had its own small bar and several small stands of different styles of Rum, including Coffee and Satsuma (both of which were ACE!) It was the perfect place to go to try something different or just to simply split up your day with some different spirits!
It was a nice way to end the day and try something a little different before heading home to recover from the alchohol binge!
So, I can definately confirm that I will be back, it is starting to become a little bit of a tradition and something I really look forward to attending! It has grown so much since last year which just shows how popular it has become!
It really is great value for money and great for sampling new things you might have never tried or heard of before, I have certainly came away with some favourites I never would have dreamed of trying! And with their being an afternoon and evening session, you can attend at what time suits you... perfect!
I would definitely recommend attending Ginfall next time it comes to you, it is on at several times throughout the year at different locations so keep an eye out!
If you would like to see how I got on at last years event, head over to my post HERE
Massive thanks to Damien and the Social and Cocktail team for allowing me to come along again to feature the event on my blog! I was invited along free of charge however all opinions are my own and were not influenced in any way.
So since moving, I something that has had to take a bit of a back seat is my usual beauty routine. Gone are the days where I always have my nails done and a face of make up on a daily basis! Nevertheless it is something I miss. I miss having the chance to make myself up a little bit and get my nails done every now and again. Thanks to 'Kiss', I can treat myself to a little bit of pampering easily and efficiently at home, whether for a weekend away, a big night out or simply for the sake of it! They have a huge range of nails, lashes and other beauty must haves to make yourself feel fancy and glam within minutes....
So something I don't wear much is eyelashes, simply because I struggle to put them on (Shout out to all the girls and guys out there who are in the same boat as me!) I always feel they are uncomfortable to wear and don't tend to last more than an hour before they start to come off in the corners. However I was excited to give these 'Flirty' lashes a go and see if I could get them to work for me. I am not going to lie, I still struggled to get them on and stay on, although this is definitely just my poor application skills and nothing to do with the eyelashes themselves.
The eyelashes themselves were stunning and I couldn't wait to try them out and see how they looked. They are designed to look like natural lashes, meaning when they are on, they add drama without looking like falsies, perfect for me, who likes a more natural look.
Something I am much more comfortable with is a good set of nails, whether a salon set, or a pair of falsies like these. I couldn't wait to try these ones, they are a gorgeous purple/blue matt set and perfect for the Scottish winter weather. It isn't normally a colour I would go for so I couldn't wait to try them out and see how they looked.
Normally when I apply nails like these, I need to file them into a shape to make them a bit more suitable for me, but these were already a great shape for me and saved me a lot of time. The colour also surprised me too, they really suited me and I really liked them on, it's definitely a shade I would go for again another time...
The only issue I have with false nails is that they never last long on me, simply due to my job. These were the same sadly, and I only got a couple of days with these before they started to ping off. Nevertheless they would be great for a night out or special event, and are an affordable and less damaging way to glam up your nails for an occasion.
Kiss have a huge range of colours and shapes to suit everyone's taste so you are bound to get something that takes your preference, whether glitz and glam or subtle french tips, their really is something out there for everyone in this range.
Even though they don't last long on me, I can't wait to try more of these sets for events in the future, they are perfect for me who like to glam up a little but doesn't want to break the bank.
I am really impressed with the products I tried from Kiss, I think they are great for everyone and are an affordable yet effective alternative to salon treatments. The lashes and nails I tried were off high quality and I would definitely use them again in the future....
The Kiss Salon range is also super easy to get your hands on and can be bought from any drugstore, like Superdrug etc, why not head to their website by clicking HERE to find a full list of stockists. Also, it's a good way of getting their full range list too!
So Edinburgh has always been one of my favourite places to visit, whether for a little day trip with friends and family, or a week long adventure! It is full of hidden little treasures that offer unique food, clothing and accessories and you are always bound to find something different down every little cobbled lane.
When I was offered the chance to try out a small restaurant in Edinburgh I couldn't help but say no! 'Urban Fox' in Edinburgh is located about a 20 minute walk from the centre of Edinburgh, or can be reached by car in only 10 minutes if you prefer. When I ventured through, the weather wasn't great, however the trek through wind and rain was completely worth it when we got out food!
First off, the menu was varied with great options whatever your preferences and dietary requirements, so you are bound to find something to your liking. We really struggled to pick our food, their was so much to try but we finally made our minds up (after a lot of debate) and picked our meals.
So for starters, we picked the Salt and Pepper Squid and the Crispy Halloumi. Both were a nice portion and were just enough to get you started without being too heavy.
The Crispy Halloumi was super tasty and the crispy batter was a nice combo with the halloumi itself and added a little texture. It was came with a little side salad too that was dressed beautifully and was a nice compliment with the halloumi. The Squid was cooked to perfection and wasn't in any way rubbery, which I know can happen with a lot of seafood if it is overcooked. The seasoning complimented the squid perfectly and wasn't too overpowering, but was just enough to give the fish a little kick!
'Salt and Pepper Squid'
I also couldn't wait to try some of their drinks, and went straight for the cocktail list to order our drinks when we got in. I picked a classic French Martini, one of my favourites, and we also got one of the speciality cocktails, recommended by our server, which really was so incredible and went down a treat with our meal. We also tried a Jalapeno Margarita, just because it sounded very intriguing, and even though I am not a huge chilli fan, it was also a treat to have!
So after we had a sip of our cocktails, it was time for our mains. This was tough, as all the dishes on the menu looked incredible, but we eventually decided on the 'Fox Burger' and the 'Roasted Duck Breast'! When we first saw the burger, we only had one word for it... HUGE! It was enormous and was full of fillings and toppings like haggis and onion rings. Nevertheless, it was extremely tasty and the meat was cooked perfectly! I had the duck breast, which is something I don't have a lot, however this has made me realise how much I miss it. The meat was tender and seasoned perfectly, and was portioned perfectly, just enough to fill you up without feeling like it was too heavy!
My duck came with some potatoes and a red wine and rosemary jus on the side, which went with the duck perfectly! I cannot wait to come back to try their other mains, their is so many I really wanted to try!
'Roast Duck Breast'
As full as we were, we were desperate to try some of their delicious sounding deserts! I went for the cheesecake of the day, which was Berry (one of my faves). We also got an Atholl Browse Ice Cream, with whiskey, oats and honey.... I was intrigued by how different it was and thought it would be perfect to finish up with.
The first thing I noticed about the cheesecake was the size... it was humongous, nevertheless I couldn't wait to delve in. It wasn't heavy, something I often find puts me off certain Cheesecakes, and was just sweet enough, without being sickly... the perfect way of finishing off my meal! The Ice cream was something I wasn't sure off, but ended up being super tasty, it wasn't too much and a perfect, light way to finish up and round off dinner....
'Atholl Browse Ice Cream'
'Cheesecake of the day'
I really enjoyed my meal at the Urban Fox and I cannot wait to go back again in the future at some point. It is about a 20 min walk from the centre, so might be a bit far out for some people, however if you are willing to head out, it is definitely worth the commute. I would also recommend booking in advance, it is a small cosy restaurant, and is extremely popular...
So would I go back? Definitely! I loved the layout of the restaurant and the decor was inviting and relaxed, perfect for any event or celebration... and their is a great range of food to suit any preferences and dietary requirements. I also really want to try their full range of cocktails too... their are so many I missed out on and can't resist giving a taste!
So Winter in Scotland... their is only one word to describe it.... unpredictable! One day, the sun is shining and their is a beautiful frost in the air, the next, the heavens could open and the weather warnings are in full force. Nevertheless, it is always one thing, cold! One thing I don't own in my wardrobe is a good solid faux fur winter coat and although it is something I have always wanted to have (let's face it, its a great staple for every women's wardrobe) I have never found one that really suited me, or that I really liked!
Nevertheless, when I found Cari's Closet, an Irish online clothing company, I fell in love with the website, especially their range of coats. And when I came across this little stunner, I couldn't wait to own one of my own....
I was offered the chance to review one piece from their collection of clothes, dresses and accessories, and after a few hours of trying to make a decision, I decided that this coat was just too beautiful to pass up! After I ordered it, I got it through within just a couple of days and the first thing I noticed was the the weight of the jacket. It was so heavy and I could tell it was of high quality before I even opened it....
So, was I let down? Hell no!
I fell in love with the coat as soon as I opened the box. The colour was perfect and just like it was advertised, a gorgeous grey/blue tone, perfect for pairing with a party dress and heels for a night out,m or like I have styled here, with some classic jeans, slip ons, and a chunky scarf for a more casual occasion. It is quite oversized, which I like and I think the cut works perfectly for that style, however if you want it a little more fitted, you might want to downsize one or two sizes!
Of course, this is faux fur, but it is extremely soft, and even in the time I wore this for the pictures, I was roasting, it really is the perfect go to coat for the Scottish winter and would definitely keep you warm on those frozen snowy mornings.
Another thing I love about this jacket is the sleeves. The sleeves aren't full length and come to your mid lower arm, rather than being full length, which I think in the colder weather would look great with some stylish winter gloves and a statement handbag! The coat comes with a small collar too, perfect for keeping your neck super cosy and warm and protected from the gusty wind.
Lastly, I love the subtle horizontal detailing on the coat too, and gives the coat a bit of a quilted detailing, without being too exaggerated and without going overboard... it's just enough to add a little something to the coat!
If you are looking for a great winter staple, then look no further! Cari's Closet offers great value for money and a great range of styles and colours... if grey isn't your preference, they also have black, burgundy, browns and mustard too, so you will have no bother finding something to match your individual style...
If you want to see what other options are available on their website, head over to www.cariscloset.ie/ and have a look at what other pieces they have available, I cannot wait to check out what new pieces they have in stock!
One of my favourite things to do in my spare time is to eat out and try out new food! Visiting different restaurants is such a good way to try something you wouldn't have tried before and to discover some new favorites. One of my favourite types of cuisine is Italian, I am a huger Pizza and Pasta fan, so when Italian Grill in Dundee gave me the opportunity to try out some of their menu, I couldn't resist!
We decided to make a day of it, as we had to get the train through to Dundee, so we had been a bit of shopping and walked quite a bit before out booking, when meant we were starving and super excited to see what they had on offer! The restaurant was located right in the centre of Dundee, just off the high street, so we didn't have far to walk, which was great as it was the usual Scottish weather, windy and cold...
Their was plenty of options on offer and a good range of dishes to cater for all dietary requirements, so their was something for everyone! We ordered our drinks, we went for a bottle of the 'FERGHETTINA ROSE', which really was so beautiful!
For starters we had the 'Confift duck leg rillette' and the 'Aberdeen Angus beef carpaccio'. They were so well presented and looked beautiful... and trust me, they tasted amazing. The duck leg rillette was super tasty and a great texture, it went brilliantly with the brioche! The Beef was so tender and wasn't too overpowering with the flavourings. It was the perfect starter just to get going with, and I couldn't wait for the mains to arrive so I could get my pasta fix!
'Aberdeen Angus beef carpaccio'
'Confif|t duck leg rillette'
Now for the mains! This was my favourite part and trust me, it was difficult to just pick one! After much deliberation, I went for the Cannelloni, with Spinach and Mushroom! It was as good as it sounded on the menu, super creamy and tasted amazing! It also came with a side of rocket salad, which was perfect for me as the pasta was very filling, so it was nice to have something a little lighter on the side to balance the meal. We also got a crab Risotto, which smelt amazing and looked incredible. It tasted fantastic and had lots of crab in it to satisfy any fish lover out there! I definitely know what I want next time I return, their were so many options on the menu that I wanted to try... I would love to try one of their pizzas and see what they are like next time I think!
Seeing as I have a sweet tooth, there's no surprise that desert is my favourite part of any meal! I already picked what I wanted before I got to the restaurant, the 'Nutella filled mini Doughnuts'. They came with a bitter chocolate sauce and raspberries and really were amazing! Doughnuts, and chocolate in one dish to me is a dream and it really didn't let me down! They tasted great, although I was so impatient and nearly burned my hand on the Nutella... I just got too excited!
We also went for an Italian classic, a 'Creme Brulee' with gingerbread shortbread. It was really tasty and I loved the shortbread, it went with the Creme Brulee really went and was the perfect addition to the desert! Would definitely recommend if you want to go for a true Italian pudding!
'Nutella Mini Filled Doughnuts'
'Creme Brulee with Gingerbread Shortbread'
The restaurant itself really is stunning, and the whole time we were there, the place had a great atmosphere and was full of people! Their was also a section at the back that was separate that could be booked for a bigger party, great for a special event that ensures you would have your own area... which is a nice touch! The view onto the square is great and would be lovely in the warmer months, especially when the outdoor seating can be used!
I was really impressed with thew restaurant and don't think there was anything I wouldn't change or need to complain about. The food was well proportioned and tasty, without being too filling or heavy. The environment was lovely and warming, and very relaxing perfect whether on a date, out with friends or having a family gathering!
I would definitely recommend this restaurant! I cannot wait to go back at some point and devour some more food, especially their mains... there's a few I certainly have my eyes on...
I have always been someone who wants to make sure my body is in tip top shape! I might not be the healthiest (i'll be the first to admit it) but I always eat in moderation and plan what I eat to ensure I have a balanced food intake. Something else I always ensure I have is my vitamins, to make sure my body is getting all the nutrients and good stuff it needs to work to its best...
I used to use just your standard multivitamins, and have featured them previously on my blog, nevertheless this was before I discovered 'Vitl', a subscription, tailor made service to ensure you get the right vitamins and minerals that your body needs! It really has changed the game when it comes to ensuring you get the right things to keep you fit and healthy...
Vitl has been a great way to ensure my body gets the nutrients it needs easily and affordably, delivered straight to my door! I was intrigued as to how the process would work, but I researched the website to learn a little more about it before I went ahead with my order.
As you head onto the website, it offers you the chance to fill out a 5-10 minute questionnaire, asking you some general questions about your health, any concerns, and your habits including smoking, drinking and your food intake. It was extremely thorough, yet easy to complete and took no time at all, and as soon as I was complete it compiled the areas where I needed a little boost..
I wasn't surprised with my results as I had a rough idea of what I needed help with, so was happy when the results were similar to what I had thought they would be. I got 3 tablets picked for me to cover my 3 areas, which were Detox, Stress & Tranquility and Digestion, along with a 4th vitamin to contribute to a healthy heart and brain...
When my vitamins arrived I was very impressed. The tablets were sorted into daily strips and came in a handy little case to keep everything together. It looked great and was super efficient and handy...
It is recommended to take these along with your main meal of the day, so I like to take them at night with my evening meal. I do feel a little more energized and not as bloated as I usually get, and it seems to have improved since taking the vitamins, so I definitely think they are doing something to help me stay healthy. It is also easy to keep track to ensure you take the vitamins daily, as you can see what days you have and have not taken, ensuring you keep track of whats going in your body...
Another selling point of this is the door delivery, you will never run out of stock and will have a continuous supply to keep you feeling your best! It is also recommended to repeat the questionnaire every 3 months to keep up to date with any changes in your body and ensure you are continuously supplying your body with the best nutrients and vitamins, I can't wait to repeat again in a few months to see what changes have happened to my body since starting the vitamins!
These are a great thing for anyone looking to give their body a boost, without even having to leave the house. They get delivered quickly, meaning you can start getting your health on track sooner rather than later and keep your body in the best possible condition it can be!
Everything can be done easily through their website at https://vitl.com/... definately wirth a visit if you want to get yourself feeling better in 2019!
So the new year is upon us and I cannot believe that 2018 is over! All the Christmas madness is over and the time has come to get back to reality and back to a routine... well for me anyways!
I do love the whole festive celebrations but I always feel its a stressful and often exhausting time, you really don't stop! Especially this year, with moving house it has been even more manic than normal and I cannot wait to unwind a little this New Years! One thing that I have been using over the course of the festivities and will be continuing to use throughout 2019 is the new Nivea deodorant antiperspirants, in order to stay confident and fresh, despite being so busy...
Nivea are very popular for their range of deodorants to suit any of your needs, and I have always been a lover of their ranges, however this 0% Aluminium antiperspirant spray has been a life saver and has helped me feel more confident and fresher, while running around like a headless chicken throughout the holidays!
With a range of scents too, from fruity, to classic freshness and my favorite, the floral... each of which works equally as well, you can pick your favorite scent to keep you going for up to 48 hour protection... perfect!
And, it dries super quick too, so no more awkward standing around, waiting for your deodorant to dry to ensure you don't stain your clothes! Perfect for any women on the go...
If you have a super busy lifestyle, and feel you are often struggling to get a minute to yourself... this is a great way to feel confident that you will stay dry and fresh all day... no more worrying about sweat marks or stains again!
Nivea as a brand has always been a favorite of mines and will continue to be a go to skincare brand that I love. Their range of deodorants and antiperspirant sprays are great quality too and are kind to your skin, all while being extremely effective too! Let me know below what you think? Have you got a go to Nivea product that you love?
So it's nearly Christmas time and the time has come again to write up my favourite gifts for Christmas! I love doing these types of posts and honestly think it is one of my favourites to read... its great to see so many new ideas and to have a look at what sets different brands have to offer in their festive ranges! Whether a beauty guru, a tech lover or a simple gesture type of person, I hope this post can inspire and help even the pickiest of gift receivers!
The Body Shop is a great go to for me when it comes to finding a good skincare, hair care, beauty or make up gift! They have such a great range of products and scents that no matter who you are buying for, you are bound to find something that fits the bill perfectly! With such good Christmas sets, and stocking fillers, all of extremely good quality and will ensure your skin stays super healthy in the winter weather, it is a perfect skincare brand for that special someone!
I have some products from their limited edition Banana range that released earlier this year and I am in love with them, they smell incredible and work wonders... I cannot wait to treat myself to some new products soon!
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Another great gift for any man or woman is a good perfume or aftershave! It is a classic and can be as inexpensive or luxurious a gift as you want! As much as I love my Chanel and Marc Jacobs, my favourite everyday perfume is this Rihanna one, Rebel 'Fleur! This gift set makes a great gift for someone, and contains 3 fragrances, 2 perfumes and a body spray!
I think these make great gifts for friends and family and with the range of scents that are out there, it can also make it very personal, and show someone how well you know them!
Ahh, Soap and Glory! Every year I think Soap and Glory come out with some gorgeous Christmas sets that would make any girl happy! With both Skincare sets and Make up kits, their is something for everyone and they are all so well presented!
This first kit is an amazing gift for any smokey eye lover, who likes their eyes to make a statement! It comes with 4 full sized eye make up pieces and for £18, it is a great bargain! The mascara is a great make up staple and the Supercat Eyeliner is still to this day one of my favourite eye liners! If you like a bit of shimmer, you can use the eye stick for some colour, perfect for going from day to night. Nevertheless, my favourite item is the Archer 2 in 1 Brow Pen. This comes with a brow pencil on one side and an eyebrow comb on the other to make sure they stay put all day and night! All 4 pieces in this kit are ones I will use so much and I really do think this would make anyone happy at Christmas time....
The smaller Glitz the Girl set comes with a mini black Kohl pencil, a Spectaculips Matteallic lip cream and a Gold Face glitter, perfect for adding some shine and sparkle this festive season. This could make a great stocking filler for a party lover or make up fan, the mini sizes give you the chance to try out the make up and are easy to travel about with! I absolutely love the face glitter, it really makes your face glow and looks amazing in photographs!
Soap and Glory have a great range of Christmas sets this year so it is definitely worth having a look through their range to see what you can find for that special someone this year!
Another brand with a great Christmas range is Nivea! Nivea offer a great range of skincare sets that are suitable for everyone and they are presented beautifully. This set here is their 'Timeless Moments' kit, which contains a full size shower creme, a full size body lotion, and a loofah. Super simple but makes a great addition to anyone's Christmas haul and would be another great stocking filler for any woman in your life!
Nivea is another favourite skincare brand of mines, I always find their products to be super moisturising and hydrating without being too heavy or harsh to my skin, all the while being super affordable too... a great go to present for everyone....
Okay, so if you are looking for a unique stand out gift, that is both practical, yet exciting, then you cannot go wrong with a dash cam!
Nextbase are the UK's best provider of dash cams and remains one of the most reliable brands for practicality and safety. I really think giving someone that comfort and piece of mind when behind the wheel is a great gift for both men and woman! This one is the 312 GW Deluxe dash cam, that offers a high def display and is extremely simple to not only set up but to operate too!
The instruction manual is very informative and easy to understand, allowing everyone and anyone to easily install this into their car, even someone like myself managed no bother...
Nextbase also offer their SD cards too, to ensure all your recordings are stored safely and securely in the case of an emergency.... they offer a variety of sizes depending on how often or little you drive which is perfect for ensuring value for money. I think this would be great for a new driver, to give them that confidence boost and motivation behind the wheel to get them going on their driving journey....
Another gift is house lighting and candles. This is such an underestimated gift but can make someones Christmas by adding personality and atmosphere in peoples homes. Whether it is mood lighting, candles or fairy lights, it can transform a room and make it much more welcoming!
These lights are beautiful when lit and offer a shimmer finish to add some class to any room. They really are beautiful and look stunning when they are both on or off. I also love to receive candles at Christmas, and with such a range of styles and scents you can really go mad and get creative!
I love lighting Winter Candles this time of year, and all through winter, I think they are such a great piece to have in the home and can make the room smell super festive, a great addition to anyone's Christmas, for both men and woman!
Laslty, a classic, CHOCOLATES! As obvious as it may seem, you really can;t go wrong with chocolates this time of year. Whether a big luxury box, or a simple stocking filler, chocolates are a great gift for everyone and are timeless.... they are never going to get any less popular! Whether dark, milk or white, their are so many different chocolatey gifts out their, their really is something for everyone, whether man or woman, young or old!
