Sally Hansen: Violet Voltage

Sally Hansen: Miami Ice
Sally Hansen Miami Ice is a bright sky blue creme.
My swatch of Miami Ice is shown in 2 coats, paired with the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Step 2 Top Coat. The formula is smooth, creamy and had no issues with application.
Sally Hansen: Electri-lime
Sally Hansen Electri-lime is a bright green creme.
My swatch of Electri-lime is shown in 2 coats, paired with the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Step 2 Top Coat. The formula is smooth, a bit on the thinner side in comparison with the previous 2 polishes. I applied 1 thin coat, followed by a medium second coat.
Sally Hansen: Lemon-chilo
Sally Hansen Lemon-chilo is a bright yellow creme.
My swatch of Lemon-chilo is shown in 2 coats, paired with the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Step 2 Top Coat. The formula is smooth, a bit on the thinner side in comparison with the first 2 polishes. I applied 1 thin coat, followed by a medium second coat.
Sally Hansen: Peach Please
Sally Hansen Peach Please is a bright peach creme.
My swatch of Peach Please is shown in 2 coats, paired with the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Step 2 Top Coat. The formula is smooth, a bit on the thinner side in comparison with the first 2 shades. I applied 1 thin coat, followed by a medium second coat.
Sally Hansen: Fuchsia Fever
Sally Hansen Fuchsia Fever is a bright fuchsia creme.
My swatch of Fuchsia Fever is shown in 2 coats, paired with the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Step 2 Top Coat. I found the formula is a bit on the jelly size and had no issues with application.
The Sally Hansen Miracle Gel Summer 2019 NEON Limited Edition Collection will start making appearances on retail shelves between May 2019-August 2019 and will retail for $11.95 CAD each.
This collection is so much fun and love the fun bright pops of colours! My personal favourite from this collection is Miami Ice .. c'mon, that bright blue is everything! When I was sent this in PR, a white polish was included to use a base to help the neon colours pop. Upon swatching, I found they performed sufficiently enough without the use of a white base. I could see the white base perhaps being used with the polishes that contain a thinner formula, but even so, I still achieved a bright finish without the use of the white base.
Is this a collection you'll be out on the hunt for? What's your favourite shade? I'd love to hear your thought's down below!

OPI Always Bare For You Spring 2019 Swatches and Review
Hi everyone, welcome back! Today I will be showcasing swatches and my review for the Always Bare For You collection by OPI. This collection contains 6 brand shades that embraces sheer and soft finishes - very dainty and feminine.
Let's get onto the swatches!
OPI: Baby Take a Vow
OPI Baby Take a Vow is a sheer jelly pink.
My swatch down below shows this applied in 3 coats. Keep in mind that these polishes are meant to be sheer, so you will have visible nail line peeping through. I really enjoy how smooth this applied and didn't experience any patchy spots. This shade in particular is my favourite from this collection and will definitely be getting many uses out of it!
OPI: Bare My Soul
OPI Bare My Soul is a nude/pink jelly.
My swatch down below shows this applied in 3 coats. My thoughts on this shade as far as formula and application is the same as the above polish, Baby Take a Vow.
OPI: Ring Bare-er
OPI Ring Bare-er is a blue/grey jelly.
My swatch of this is shown in 3 coats. Again, formula and application is the same as the previous 2 polishes. At first I thought this was going to look weird on the nail being jelly/sheer, but was actually surprised at how much I enjoyed this one. Definitely unlike anything I have in my current collection!
OPI: Engage-meant to Be
OPI Engage-meant to Be is a light grey jelly.
My swatch of this is shown in 3 coats. This was another one that surprised me, as far as how it would look on the nail. In my head I thought because of the sheer formula + the grey colour, it would make my nails look dirty (lol) - it did the opposite! I found it to be quite fresh looking and can see myself grabbing for this several times - love it!
OPI: Chiffon-d of You
OPI Chiffon-d of You is a frosty soft pink.
My swatch below shows this applied in 3 coats. If you're someone who dislikes visible brush stoke lines, this won't be for you. The formula was great to work with, minus the brush strokes.
Tip: To help minimize visible brush strokes, aim to apply these types of polishes in thin even strokes.
OPI: Throw Me a Kiss
OPI Throw Me a Kiss is a shimmering topper.
My swatch of this is shown in 3 coats on its own, down below I will share swatches of what it looks like overtop 3 shades from this collection. The formula was great to work with and had no issues. If you enjoy a soft and subtle look, this is great overtop the natural nail in just 1 coat - very pretty. I however wanted to build it up and prefer wearing it this way on myself (in 3 coats).
1 coat of Throw Me a Kiss overtop Baby, Take a Vow on my middle and ring finger
1 coat of Throw Me a Kiss overtop Bare My Soul on my middle and ring finger
1 coat of Throw Me a Kiss overtop Ring Bare-er on my middle and ring finger
I like the subtleness this collection brings and makes for wonderful everyday kinda shades. Especially for those whom work in workplaces with rules against bold nail colours. I usually have a hard time getting sheer colours to apply smooth and even - these are magic! I can definitely see myself using some of these over and over again.
The OPI Always Bare For You collection is available for purchase early April 2019. Nail Lacquers will retail for $10.50 ($13.30 CAN) each and Infinite Shine colours will retail for $13.00 ($16.40 CAD) each and $6.50 ($8.20 CAD) each at professional salons.
Which of these shades do you favour? Let me know in the comments below.

My swatches of Nude Attitude are shown in 2 easy creamy coats, paired with topcoat. This one is defintely my favourite from the quad, as it suits my skin tone best.
I got inspired to create a gradient nail art look using Same Old Love and Nude Attitude.
There we have it, four classy nudes perfect for the everyday woman! After swatching all four, I appreciated how the formulas were consistent. They all have such a creamy texture, applied easily, smooth and were almost one coaters!
These nudes retail for $10USD each or $36USD for the set.

OPI Holiday 2018 The Nutcracker and the Four Realms Swatch and Review
Hi friends, welcome back! I've got swatches and my review for the OPI Holiday 2018 collection, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms.
This collection consists of 7 cremes and a mix up of 5 other fun finishes. Along with the standard 12 piece collection, they have 3 bonus nail polishes - glitter toppers!
Let's get onto the swatches!
OPI - Envy The Adventure
Envy The Adventure is a bright bold and beautiful forest green creme.
My swatch of Envy The Adventure is shown in 2 coats, paired with top coat.
OPI - March In Uniform
March In Uniform is a vampy purple creme.
My swatch of March In Uniform is shown in 2 coats, paired with top coat. When I first saw this one, I couldn't figure out if it was purple or blue. As per the description from the direct listing on the OPI website, it is stated to in fact be purple. It seems to be coming off a bit more so on the blue side in my swatch photo, however in person the purple is more visible. I would classify this as blurple, which is when something looks both purple and blue.
OPI - Toying With Trouble
Toying With Trouble is a vivid bright pink creme.
My swatch of Toying With Trouble is shown in 2 coats, paired with top coat.
OPI - Lavendare To Find Courage
Lavendare To Find Courage is a light purple creme.
My Swatch of Lavendare To Find Courage is shown in 2 coats, paired with top coat.
OPI - Dreams Need Clara-fication
Dreams Need Clara-fication is a bright pastel blue creme.
My swatch of Dreams Need Clara-fication is shown in 2 coats, paired with top coat. This one to me in person gives me periwinkle vibes, super pretty and perfect for winter!
OPI - Dazzling Dew Drops
Dazzling Dew Drops is a metallic yellow leaning gold.
My swatches of Dazzling Dew Drops are shown in 3 coats, paired with top coat. I could easily see this working in 2 coats for those who have no visible nail line. In my case I do, so 3 it was.
OPI - Dancing Keeps Me On My Toes
Dancing Keeps Me On My Toes is a shimmering glistening white with micro blue glitters.
My swatches of Dancing Keeps Me On My Toes are shown in 3 coats, paired with top coat. I did notice with the 3 coats, I still had slight visible nail line.
OPI - Berry Faint Fun
Berry Faint Fun is shimmery purple.
My swatches of Berry Faint Fun are shown in 3 coats, paired with top coat.
OPI - Tinker, Thinker, Winker?
Tinker, Thinker, Winker? is a twinkling holographic.
My swatches of Tinker, Thinker, Winker? are shown in 3 coats, paired with top coat. The holographic flakes in this are insane and twinkle so nicely. It is versatile in the sense of being able to wear it on its own and can be used as a topper. Usually when I try and use nail polishes that aren't meant to be toppers, it can get kinda wonky in some areas - not this one!
Here is Tinker, Winker, Thinker? shown in 1 coat overtop Lavendare To Find Courage:
OPI - Black to Reality
Black to Reality is a blackened base shimmering vampy red.
My swatches of Black to Reality are shown in 2 coats, paired with top coat. This one is such a standout shade when it comes to my personal taste and find it so sexy! I never thought a nail polish could actually be sexy, but this is all kinda of vampy fun and I love it!
OPI - Candied Kingdom
Candied Kingdom is a brighter blue based red creme.
My swatch of Candied Kingdom is shown in 2 coats, paired with top coat.
OPI - Gingers Revenge
Gingers Revenge is a darker blue based red.
My swatch of Gingers Revenge is shown in 2 coats, paired with top coat.
Now that we've gone through the mains of this collection, let's get into the 3 bonus shades - the glitter toppers! Heads up, these glitter toppers are pretty awesome. They offer great coverage and you don't have to go glitter fishing to get an even disbursement of glitter overtop the nail.
OPI - Gold Key to the Kingdom
Gold Key to the Kingdom is a gold glittery topper.
My swatches of Gold Key to the Kingdom are shown in 1 coat overtop Envy the Adventure. It features mainly gold hex glitter with a mix up of silver and white glitters.
OPI - Dreams on a Silver Platter
Dreams on a Silver Platter is a silver glittery topper.
My swatches of Dreams on a Silver Platter are shown in 1 coat overtop March in Uniform. It features mainly silver hex glitter with a mix up of gold and white glitters.
OPI - I Pull the Strings
I Pull the Strings is a rose gold glittery topper.
My swatches of I Pull the Strings are shown in 1 coat overtop Candied Kingdom. It features mainly rose gold hex glitter with a mix up of gold, silver and white glitters.

With the fall season being in full gear, I wanted to take a poke at trying something new and luxurious for my lips. In today's post I have my thoughts to share on the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask.
I've seen this product highly spoken of several times and decided it was time to try it for myself to see what the buzz was about! During a stroll downtown, I stopped by Sephora and made the plunge of a purchase. I say *plunge* because it retails for $24 CAD through Sephora. I don't find it to be very expensive, however rationalizing with myself to spend $24 on a lip product that wasn't a lipstick seemed a bit far out to me.
As I get older, I'm appreciating the outcome of a quality skin care routine and that includes taking care of my lips too. I don't mind dishing out the extra bucks if it means I'll be achieving *actual* results. I love face masking and this was the first time I've heard of a masking product for the lips. For all I know others could be out on the market, but haven't really done much research.
Let's get onto the full break down of the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask!
The Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask is "a leave-on lip mask that soothes and moisturizes for smoother, more supply lips overnight."
"Lip Sleeping Mask has a softening balm texture that closely adheres to lips for quick absorption. Enriched with vitamin C and antioxidants, its Berry Mix Complex™ offers a nutritiously sweet and fragrant blend of raspberry, strawberry, cranberry, and blueberry extracts to indulge the senses. Its exclusive Moisture Wrap™ technology boasts hyaluronic acid and minerals to form a protective film over the lips to lock in moisture and active ingredients. A generous layer of this soothing mask at bedtime helps reduce flakiness so you can wake up to lips that feel refreshed, supple, and soft to the touch."
This product is cruelty free and formulated without Parabens of Phthalates - so yay for that!
It came packaged in a box and includes a complimenting pink tipped silicone applicator.
Heres a closer look at the silicone applicator:
It also has a protective cap inside, which is a nice touch to help keep the interiors contents clean.
Theres something so satisfying about a smooth untouched lip product ..
The very day I got it, I snapped my photo's right when I got home because I didn't want to hold out on on trying this product. If your a beauty blogger like me, you painstakingly wait to use products so you can take photos first - I'm sure I'm not alone in this. Sometimes I wait so long and refused to wait .. my lips said so!
I don't have anything to compare this to other than the typical chap stick, which I've tried a lot and have really only stuck to one. Most lip moisturizing products never really feel like they do much and often wonder why that is the case. I heard a myth that microscopic pieces of glass are in chapsticks, which results in of course zero results - anyone else heard of that?
It states to apply a generous amount on the lips overnight and gently wipe off or cleanse in the morning. Upon following those steps, I woke up with the most softest and supple lips ever! This felt unlike anything I've ever used on my lips and it was quite luxurious feeling. I really enjoy the Berry scent and don't find it to be over powering.
Since purchasing the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask and trying it for the first time, I'm hooked! I've used it multiple times at this point and even use it during the day in a much smaller amount. Every time I apply this onto my lips, I'm just amazed at how creamy it feels. It really does work and so glad I made the purchase.
I do wish it came in other scent options, but I really enjoy the Berry scent so I don't have much to complain about. I after realized there was a limited edition boxed set available online that came with a full sized Berry Lip Mask and 3 smaller versions in different scents; Grapefruit, Apple Lime and Vanilla. I vote for a minty kinda scent that leaves a cooling sensation to lips. It would feel so refreshing to use something like that during the warmer months.
This was my first ever Laneige purchase and absolutely adore the Lip Sleeping Mask and will be re-purchasing again down the road!
Have you tried the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask? If so, share your thoughts down in the comments!
