This collection is absolutely amazing and really adore the colour selection. The formula's were consistent through all 6 shades and applied beautifully without any hassle. My favourite finish in nail polish has forever been creme's and often wear creme finishes outside of swatching and playing around with nail art. Girly Bits truly makes some of my favourite creme formulated polishes within the indie polish community and highly suggest checking out the cremes from their Fall 2017 launch. Feel free to check out part 1 here and part 2 here.

Paint it Pretty Polish | Tetris Neons

** PRESS SAMPLES **

Hi friends, welcome back! Get those sunglasses on because today I've got swatches of some vivid Tetris inspired neons from Paint it Pretty Polish!  This collection contains 7 bright neons and 5 bright neons with colour shifting shimmers.

This collection will be releasing at Indie Expo Canada for $10 each or the whole set for $100.

Let's get onto the swatches!

-----

Paint it Pretty Polish: T-Spin

T-Spin is a neon purple creme.

My swatch of T-Spin is shown in 3 coats, paired with top coat.

The formula was a bit on the thicker side and was told the formula will be thinned out for the IEC release, yay!

Paint it Pretty Polish - Minos

Minos is a neon purple shimmery colour shifting creme.

My swatch of Minos is shown in 3 coats, paired with top coat.

The formula on this one was the same as the above T-Spin.

Paint it Pretty Polish - Single Line Clear

Single Line Clear is a neon blue creme.

My swatch of Single Line Clear is shown in 2 easy creamy coats.

Formula on this has a great consistency and caused no issues upon application!

Paint it Pretty Polish - Hard Drop

Hard Drop is a neon shimmery colour shifting creme.

My swatch of Hard Drop is shown in 2 easy creamy coats.

Smooth formula and LOVE the shimmer within this one - very icy!

Paint it Pretty Polish - Back to Back

Back to Back is a neon green creme.

My swatch of Back to Back is shown in 3 coats, paired with top coat.

The formula on this one was also on the thicker side, but keep in mind all the thicker formulated ones will be thinned out for the IEC launch. My camera had one heck of a time trying to capture this and wasn't able to capture the true richness to it. In person it's your classic rich green .. almost like grass? Grass isn't neon but like I'm trying here LOL

Paint it Pretty Polish - Polyominos

Polyominos is a neon green shimmery colour shifting creme.

My swatch of Polyominos is shown in 2 easy coats, paired with top coat.

The formula on this was easy to apply and had zero issues.

Paint it Pretty Polish - Cascade

Cascade is a neon yellow creme.

My swatch of Cascade is shown in 3 coats, paired with top coat.

The formula on this one started out smooth and felt it was dragging on my second coat. I ended up going in for a 3rd as I noticed some bald spots. This yellow is a fun vavavoom highlighter yellow!

Paint it Pretty Polish - Golden Minos

Golden Minos is a neon yellow shimmery colour shifting creme.

My swatch of Golden Minos is shown in 3 coats, paired with top coat.

The formula on this wasn't difficult to work with, as it needed some building up to hide the nail line.

Paint it Pretty Polish - Double Clear

Double clear is a neon orange creme.

My swatch of Double Clear is shown in 2 coats, paired with top coat.

The formula on this one had a medium viscosity and didn't find it super thick. This was another shade that camera had a "NOPE" moment as far as capturing the true hue of it (sorry guys!). In person this is seriously a traffic stopping pylon! This one doesn't have the matching shimmer shade.

Paint it Pretty Polish - Triple Line Clear

Triple Line Clear is a neon pink creme.

My swatch of Triple Line Clear is shown in 2 easy creamy coats, paired with top coat.

The formula on this was as nice to work with as the blue creme!

Paint it Pretty Polish - Polish Combos

Polish Combos is a neon pink shimmery colour shifting creme.

My swatch of Polish Combos is shown in 2 easy coats, paired with top coat.

I find this shimmer to be as matching in comparison to the rest. The hue is a bit lighter/brighter and feel it's a perfect barbie shade. Gorgeous shimmer!

Paint it Pretty Polish - The Tetris

The Tetris is a watermelon red neon creme.

My swatch of The Tetris is shown in 2 coats, paired with top coat.

This one required a bit of a thicker coat on the second coat. This colour was once again another one that freaked my camera out and wasn't able to capture the true accuracy of it. In person it leans more orange. This is also another one that doesn't have a matching shimmer.

-----

Final Thoughts:
How about those neons though? So blinding, I love it! I did have some formula issues but am happy to hear that will all be sorted out for the Indie Expo Canada launch.

This collection is really fun, great for summer and will definitely have heads turning twice .. or three times! My brain is going a mile a minute with all these nail art idea's, but I'm strapped for time so all I've got for you guys today are swatches - sorry!

Nail Stuff | Red Metallic Flakes Review
** PRESS SAMPLE **

Hi friends, welcome back! Today I've got a review of some sexy vampy red metallic flakes sent to me from Nail Stuff, a Canadian nail art shop.

I was sent various items to test out, so keep your eyes peeled for more fun nail art things!

Let's get onto the review!

-----

Nail Stuff - Red Metallic Flakes

Down below I'll be sharing 2 sets of photo's: one set taken indoors and the second set taken outdoor. The indoor photo's sort of gave me darkened areas and assume that has to do with the light bouncing off the foil flakes. I'm no scientist here, so that's my wild guess lol!

I paired the red metallic flakes overtop Mary from the Beyond Nail Lacquer line from Bio Seaweed Gel (coupon code NAILEXPERIMENTS for 10% off your order).

Indoor shots:

Outdoor shots:

-----

Final Thoughts
I was excited to try these out as I'm so used to seeing the typical gold and silver flakes (still very pretty), so yes - bring on the red and more colours! Being a Canadian, my mind bolted in the direction of how awesome these would look to sport for Canada Day! They of course can be worn all year round, but will also pair perfectly with several holidays. These flakes work amazing with both regular and gel polish. I of course used regular nail polish and sealed with the Essie Gel Setter top coat and didn't notice it diminish the finish of the metallic flakes.

For more info on Nail Stuff, visit the links below:

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you back next time <3

Girly Bits Indie Expo Canada 2018 Limited Edition Swatches
** PRESS SAMPLES **

Hi friends, welcome back! Indie Expo Canada is soon approaching and I've got the three limited edition nail polishes to share with you from Girly Bits.

The three limited edition polishes will be available online for a few months after the event beginning early July, with the exception of the thermal which will not be available online during the summer months due to the instability of thermal pigments in the summer heat. The online retail pricing on all three will be $16.50 CAD, with a special Indie Expo show price of $15.50 each including tax.

Let's get onto the swatches!

-----

Girly Bits - The FoMo is Real (LE thermal)

The FoMo is Real is described as a orange to pink thermal, with a multitude of iridescent colour shifting flakes in gold, purple, pink and green, and a kiss of holo flakes, and was inspired by the Toronto skyline photo used on the Indie Expo website this year. This polish is 4 free, cruelty free, and vegan friendly.

My swatch of The FoMo is Real is shown in 2 easy coats, paired with top coat.

-----

Girly Bits - North of 42 (LE)

North of 42 is described as having a teal green base with a slight violet to gold shift, lots of holographic sparkle, and green to blue shifting iridescent flakes in multiple sizes. The hometown of Girly Bits being Kingsville, ON is the southernmost town in all of mainland Canada, and they sit on the 42nd parallel. 42.0363° N to be exact. If they were to split hairs, their cottage on Pelee Island in Lake Erie is the southernmost township in all of Canada as well at 41.7745° N. This polish is 5 free, cruelty free, and vegan friendly.

My swatches of North of 42 are shown in 2 easy coats, paired with top coat.

-----

Girly Bits - Zed (LE)

Zed is described as a magenta to copper to green multi-chrome that shows blue and purple at the edges, with a sprinkling of prism holo flakes, and green to yellow iridescent flakes. For those who don't know, here in Canada we say Zed at the end of the alphabet instead of ZEE, which really messed up the entire rhyming part of the song! This polish is 5 fee, cruelty free, and vegan friendly.

My swatches of Zed are shown in 2 easy coats, paired with top coat.

My Indie Polish Borderlands | June Polish Pickup 2018

** PRESS SAMPLES **

Hi friends, welcome back! Today I'll sharing swatches of Borderlands by My Indie Polish, their contribution to the June 2018 Polish Pickup. The theme for June's Polish Pickup is all about video games, woohoo! I think it's safe to say this polish was inspired from the game Borderlands. Anyone a fan of that game?

Let's get onto the swatches!

-----

My Indie Polish - Borderlands

Borderlands is described as a bright red leaning hot pink jelly crammed with gold flakies, and a beautiful pink to blue shift thanks to a generous amount of aurora pigments.

My swatches of Borderlands are shown in 3 coats, paired with top coat.

Due to the nature of jelly polishes, they are more on the shear side hence the 3 coats. Despite the amount of flakes within this polish, they lay nice and flat. You'll get an even dispersion of the flakes without having to fish for more! Beautiful polish!

Borderlands will retail for $12.50 exclusively on the Polish Pickup website.

-----

My Indie Polish products, along with all other Polish Pickup polishes/products will be available for pre-order between June 1st - 4th only.

How does Polish Pickup work? Each month Polish Pickup will list polishes created by that months participating makers, and customers can pick and choose which of that months offerings they would like, without a commitment. You can purchase just one if you'd like to. It IS a pre-order and won't ship for at least three weeks *pre-orders need to be sent from the makers to TPP (the polish pickup) for distribution* Shipping is as low as $3 for US residents and $5 for Canadian residents. International shipping is also available.

The Polish Pickup website has the option to create an account and add items to your wishlist. The wishlist feature so incredibly helpful, in that you have the 'add all to cart' option. That makes checking out super quick and efficient! Before the beginning of each month when Polish Pickup goes live, they slowly add products to the page for preview. With that being said, you can preview product before purchasing and gather your wishlist together before the website goes live.
