OPI Lisbon Spring/Summer 2018 Review
*press samples*

Hi friends, welcome back! I've got this exciting bundle of joy to share with you today, the 12 piece OPI Lisbon Spring/Summer 2018 Collection - get excited because we've got so many beauties to go through in this collection!

This collection caters to those of you who enjoy a very classy nude all the way through to a bold pop of colour - I love it! I spy with my little eye something that made my heart patter when I swatched it. You didn't think I'd just tell ya right now did ya? You've gotta read down below silly!

The OPI Lisbon Spring/Summer 2018 Collection is available in the Nail Lacquer, Infinite Shine and GelColor.

Let's get straight on into the swatches!

-----

OPI Lisbon 2018 - You've Got Nata On Me

You've Got Nata On Me is a pinky/peachy creme

My swatch of You've Got Nata On Me is shown in 2 easy buttery coats paired with top coat. This is such a pretty nude, I love it!

OPI Lisbon - We Seafood and Eat It

We Seafood and Eat It is a bright lobster red.

My swatch of We Seafood and Eat It is shown in 2 easy creamy coats, paired with top coat. I'm kind of craving lobster now .. thanks OPI!

OPI Lisbon - No Turning Back From Pink Street

No Turning Back From Pink Street is a vivid magenta.

My swatch of No Turning Back From Pink Street is shown in 2 easy creamy coats, paired with top coat. I'm most likely going to sound repetitive in this post because all polishes are basically 2 coaters!

OPI Lisbon - Tile Art to Warm Your Heart

Tile Art to Warm Your Heart is a mosaic blue nail polish.

My swatch of Tile Art to Warm Your Heart is shown in 2 easy buttery coats, paired with top coat.

OPI Lisbon - Sun, Sea and Sand in My Pants

Sun, Sea and Sand in My Pants is a sunshiny yellow colour.

My swatch of Sun, Sea and Sand in My Pants is shown in 2 easy creamy coats, paired with top coat. This is the one that made my heart patter as soon as I put it on! It's so unlike me to love a yellow so much but damn, this is stunning and it's rare I find a yellow that compliments my skin tone. This polish can easily carry your through the Spring, Summer and Fall season! I feel the need to do some buttery popcorn nail art with this .. and eat some too .. oh dear. Send all the yellow polish and popcorn, k thanks!

OPI Lisbon - Closer Than You Might Belem

Closer Than You Might Belem is a coastal sea green.

My swatch of Closer Than You Might Belem is shown in, you guessed it, say it with me now - 2 easy creamy coats, paired with top coat.

OPI Lisbon - A Red-vival City

A Red-vival City is a bright red creme

My swatch of A Red-vival City is shown in 2 easy buttery coats, paired with top coat. I feel like no OPI collection is complete without a red or two - this one is gorgeous!

OPI Lisbon - Suzi Chases Portu-gees

Suzi Chases Portu-gees is a white creme.

My swatch shows Suzi Chases Portu-gees in 2 creamy coats, paired with topcoat. This one I would suggest anywhere between 2-3 coats depending on your application. The second slightly thicker coat allowed me to reach full opacity, but again, it'll depends on application. I almost notice a very subtle pale pink undertone, making this a not so stark white - very classy!

OPI Lisbon - Tangus In That Selfie!

Tangus In That Selfie! is a bright pink creme.

My swatch of Tangus In That Selfie! is shown in 2 easy creamy coats, paired with top coat.

OPI Lisbon - Lisbon Wants Moor OPI

Lisbon Wants Moor OPI is a soft feminine pink creme.

My swatch of Lisbon Wants Moor OPI is shown in 2 easy buttery coats, paired with top coat. Soft pinks such as this beauty are some of my favourite pinks to rock!

OPI Lisbon - Now Museum, Now You Don't

Now Museum, Now You Don't is a metallic red creme.

My swatch of Now Museum, Now You Don't is shown in 2 coats, paired with top coat. The formula on this is a bit thin and thought I was going to easily need 3 coats. I would still recommend anywhere between 2-3 depending on application. Due to the metallic nature of this polish, brush strokes are visible but once dried down, the brush strokes soften. I do recommend using a light hand and applying in thin coats to avoid brush strokes as best as possible.

OPI Lisbon - Made It To the Seventh Hill!

Made It To The Seventh Hill! is a soft golden rose metallic.

My swatch shows Made It To The Seventh Hill! applied in 2 coats, paired with top coat. The formula was similar as the above polish, being on the thinner side. I actually prefer metallics to be on the thinner side as it allows for minimal brush strokes.

-----

Phew, that was a a lot to get through! I'm throughly impressed with the formulas this collection offers, as everything for the most apart applied within 2 easy creamy coats. Your probably sick of hearing me saying that by now after 12 polishes .. whoops! I love the variations of colours starting from nudes, all the way through to fun pops of colours. I can see this collection easily carrying me through the spring and summer months. Of course the reds and more neutral shades will be appropriate all year round no matter the season.

Do you have any favourites from this collection? Let me know in the comments below!

Quo by ORLY Breathable New 2018 Limited Edition Colours
** press samples **

Hi friends, welcome back! Today I've got all 4 of the new Quo by ORLY Breathable limited edition colours to share with you!

The new Quo by ORLY Breathable colours are available exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart and retail for $11 each.

Let's get onto the swatches!

-----

Quo by ORLY Breathable - Good Karma

Good Karma is cobalt blue creme.

My swatch of Good Karma is shown in 2 coats paired with top coat. The 1st coat was a bit sheer, so I thought I would need at least 3 coats but it was deceptive and only needed 2 - yay!

Quo by ORLY Breathable - Manuka Me Crazy

Manuka Me Crazy is a dusty peach creme.

My swatches of Manuka Me Crazy are shown in 2 easy creamy coats paired with top coat.

Quo by ORLY Breathable - Sweet Serenity

Sweet Serenity is a cherry coloured sheer polish.

My swatch of Sweet Serenity is shown in 2 coats overtop my natural nails, paired with top coat. Half my nails going from the middle going down towards the tips are a bit stained, so it didn't compliment that part of my nail. However, the upper half portion looked quite nice. I owned a polish like this a few years ago and loved wearing it because it gives the natural nail a healthy glow of pink for a very natural and healthy look.

Quo by ORLY Breathable - Namaste Healthy

Namaste Healthy is a beautiful brick red creme.

My swatch of Namaste Healthy is shown in 2 easy creams coats, paired with top coat.

-----

Do you have any favourites from my swatches? I really LOVE how gorgeous of a blue Good Karma is - I'm truly a sucker for blues! Manuka Me Crazy is such a neat shade and don't own anything else quite like this, so I'm glad I can have it apart of my collection!

I have a few more posts coming up featuring more Quo by ORLY polishes, so keep an eye out!

Thank you so much for reading and hope to see you backing the next one <3

My Indie Polish Jame's and The Giant PeachMarch 2018 Polish Pickup Books
** press samples **

Hi friends, welcome back! The theme for the March 2018 Polish Pickup is books, and My Indie Polish has created a nail polish inspired by the book James and The Giant Peach.

Here is the inspiration photo My Indie Polish used to create James and The Giant Peach:

Let's get onto the swatches of James and the Giant Peach!

James And The Giant Peach is a peach when cold and shifts into a buttery yellow when warm with a beautiful subtle gold shimmer. My swatches show James And The Giant Peach applied in 2 easy creamy coats, paired with top coat. The formula allows for good control and isn't overly fluid where it would run into the cuticle area. Really easy to work with and covered beautifully in 2 easy coats.

This nail polish ties in perfectly with the inspiration photo My Indie Polish decided to go with - I don't think they could have made it any better! I adore the gold shimmer .. I may or may not have had something to do with that added element!

James And The Giant Peach will retail for $13 on the Polish Pickup website and will have a cap of 200 bottles.

Transition state

Warm/hot state

My Indie Polish The Watercolour Series Thermal Trio Spring 2018
**PRESS SAMPLES**

With Spring soon approaching, comes an array of beautiful colours as nature begins to blossom. Today I have swatches of The Watercolour Series from My Indie Polish, launching February 10th 2018. This trio contains 3 thermal nail polishes that will change in colour dependant on temperature.

Full size will retail for $14 each and mini's will be $10 shipped free (only if there are overpours)

Down below I'll also be sharing a fun tutorial for a double gradient look and a live swatch video of this fun thermal trio!

Note: To save myself on being repetitive, I applied each polish in 2 coats, sealed with top coat and found the formula to be consistent throughout.

Let's get onto the swatches!

-----

My Indie Polish - Spring Fever

Spring Fever is a medium purple when cold and pastel purple when hot.

Cold state

Transition state

Hot/warm state

My Indie Polish - Grass Between My Toes

Grass Between My Toes is a greenish/blue when cold and a pastel neon green when hot/warm.

Cold state - I wasn't able to capture the true colour of the cold state and find it coming off more of an aqua on camera. In real life this does lean more green like you'll see in the transition photo next. This one also contains a slight blue shimmer to it - very pretty!

Transition state

Hot/warm state

My Indie Polish - With Rain Comes Flowers

With Rain Comes Flowers is a dusty grey with subtle purple undertones when cold and a a pastel pink when in it's hot/warm state. This has a very subtle holographic sparkle to it, very hard to capture but it's there!

Cold state

Transition state

Hot/warm state

-----

I had this idea to do a thermal gradient using two of these polishes for double the gradient fun! I used Spring Fever and Grass Between My Toes for this look. Feel free to check out my YouTube tutorial behind this look - It's epic and you'll get to see how they shift into a rainbow of fun!

If your interested in seeing live swatches of the trio, feel free to reference my YouTube video!

Ever After Polish Playing With Fire SwatchesPolish Pickup Crystals & Gemstones January 2018
**PRESS SAMPLE**

Hi friends, welcome back! The theme for January 2018 Polish Pickup was Crystals & Gemstones. I have swatches of the Ever After Polish contribution called, Playing With Fire. This polish was actually sent to me to swatch and it arrived a wee bit too late as customs decided to hold it hostage! I would still love to share swatches with you as it's incredibly gorgeous!

Ever After Polish - All Fired Up

All Fired Up has a black jelly base packed with orange, red and green colour shifting flakes as well as tiny blue holographic hex glitters and even tinier green micro glitter squares.

My swatch shows All Fired Up applied in 3 coats, plus top coat. This polish is jam packed with flakie goodness and love how much depth was built up within the 3 coats. I found the formula to be on the thin-medium range as far as viscosity, and found the application to be user friendly. I do suggest sealing in with a glossy top coat to smooth over all the jam packed flakie goodness! The polish is definitely wall rack worthy! I don't have the space to showcase my entire collection on my wall racks, and store the rest within Ikea Helmers.

Let's get onto the swatches!

-----

Girly Bits - You Look Mauvelous

You Look Mauvelous is described as a medium dusty purple crelly base, with red metallic flakes and grey metallic flakes. This polish is 5-free, vegan, and cruelty free. $16.50 CAD

My swatch shows You Look Mauvelous in 2 easy coats, paired with Girly Bits What a Rush Quick Dry Top Coat. Once I applied You Look Mauvelous onto my nails, I quickly realized it's a tad tad darker on the nails versus what it looks like in the bottle. I feel the makers description describes this polish perfectly and I had zero issues with application. It's such a lovely polish and love the contrast of the red metallic flakes against the dusty purple base - very unique!

Girly Bits - Dark Reflection

Dark Reflection is described as a maroon/dark wine shimmer with green to blue shifting iridescent flakes. This polish is 5-FREE, vegan, and cruelty free. $16.50 CAD

My swatch of Dark Reflection is shown applied in 3 coats, paired with the Girly Bits What a Rush Quick Dry Top Coat. I feel the makers description describes Dark Reflection perfectly and had zero issues with formula and application. I love me a good vampy shade and this one is so stunning! Shifty flakes are always fun and I love how they pop against the maroon base!

Bundle Monster Stamping Polish Review
**PRESS SAMPLES**

Hi friends, welcome back! Harlow & Co recently brought in Bundle Monster stamping nail polishes to their shop and I was sent some for review! Along with the stamping polishes, I was sent the Smudge Free Top Coat. I will be doing an entirely separate review on the top coat in the near future.

I've been wanting to try the Bundle Monster stamping nail polishes for quite some time now but Bundle Monster doesn't ship nail polish to Canada. It's so amazing to have a Canadian stockist such as Harlow & Co carrying them! I'm a huge fan of nail stamping and was excited to be sent 6 shades to test out and review!

For consistency I used the same image from the Bundle Monster stamping plate Polynesia BM-XL108 (long time favourite stamping plate) and the Big Bling XL stamper from Clear Jelly Stamper. I would have used a Bundle Monster stamper to keep with the brand, but I unfortunately don't own one yet. Each design was sealed with the Bundle Monster Smudge Free Top Coat.

Let's get onto the swatches!

-----

Bundle Monster - Marzipan

I would describe Marzipan as a dusty/greyed out purple.

I found the consistency of Marzipan to be thicker, as a stamping polish should be. I stamped overtop a black base as I feel that's the best way to see how pigmented a lighter shade performs. I used very little polish and it wen't a long way. I'm very impressed with this shade as it offers amazing colour payoff overtop the black base!

Bundle Monster - Doll Dance

I would describe Doll Dance as a pastel sky blue.

The consistency of Doll Dance is the same as the above shade Marzipan. Again, I stamped overtop a black base to test the pigmentation. I used very little polish and a little goes a long way. Very happy with this shade as it offers amazing colour pay off overtop the black base!

Bundle Monster - Ballet Flats

I would describe Ballet Flats as a nude with pink undertones.

The consistency of Ballet Flats is the same as the above two stamping polishes, which I really like so far. Again, to test pigmentation I applied a black base and was very happy with the colour payoff. Aside from this shade, I only have 1 or 2 other nude shades of stamping polishes and this one takes the cake!

Bundle Monster - Magic Hour

I would describe Magic Hour as a rose gold shade.

I feel like I'm sounding repetitive but the consistency of Magic Hour is the same as the above colours. I haven't come across a metallic shade that disappoints me and this one wasn't any different. Amazing colour pay off overtop the black base and a little goes a long way. I do own quite a good amount of metallic stamping polishes but this shade is very unique to my collection - I love it!

Bundle Monster - Toy Soldier

I would describe Toy Soldier as a deep wine red/cranberry shade.

I found the formula on Toy Solider to be a little thinner in comparison to the above shades, but definitely not watery thin. I chose to use this overtop a white base and love the colour pay off! It does show a little brighter against a white base versus what it looks like directly in the bottle. I did a test stamp overtop my nail art mat on a black square and it wasn't impressive over the black base. I didn't really expect it to be as it's quite a dark shade. This is another shade that is unique to my collection and so glad I own it!

Bundle Monster - Harlequin

I would describe Harlequin as a deep teal.

I found the formula on Harlequin to be similar to the above Toy Solider, a teeny more fluid versus the first 5 shades. Not watery fluid, just a notch or 2 down in consistency from the first 5 shades. I chose to go with a white base as it wasn't impressed overtop the black test square I did. Great colour payoff and love having this addition to my collection as I don't own a shade like it!

-----

I've got to give it up to Bundle Monster because these are really impressive! I've been into nail stamping for a good number of years and have tried various stamping polish brands. Having said that, I'm quite picky when it comes to my stamping polishes and these are incredible! A huge thank you to Harlow&Co for sending these wonderful stamping polishes my way and I'll have to order some more shades down the line!

Have you ever tried Bundle Monster stamping polishes? If so, what are your thoughts?

Girly Bits I Licked It, So It's MineFebruary 2018 Polish Pickup Sugar Rush
**PRESS SAMPLES**

Hi friends, welcome back! I'm back again with yet another gorgeous Girly Bits contribution for the ever so loved Polish Pickup! The theme for February is Sugar Rush and Girly Bits was inspired by Unicorn Bark - yum!

Let's take a closer look at the Unicorn Bark inspiration photo:

Next, let's take a closer look at the swatches of I Licked It, So It's Mine.

Girly Bits - I Licked It, So It's Mine

I Licked It, So It's Mine is described as a glowing light pink base with prismatic holo flakes that look like sugar crystals. There is a sweet golden glow and a violet shine, with added blue holographic glitter, and blue metallic flakes. It looks good enough to eat!

This nail polish will retail for $13 USD on the Polish Pickup website only and has no cap.

My swatch shows I Licked It, So It's Mine applied in 3 thin coats, paired with top coat. Application was smooth and all the complex elements within the nail polish laid flat. This polish is so incredible beautiful and complex, you won't be able to take your eyes off your nails!

My Indie Polish Bubblegum Ice CreamFebruary 2018 Polish Pickup
**press samples**

Are you a fan of bubblegum? What if I told you My Indie Polish created a nail polish inspired by bubblegum ice cream?? What if I also told you they've also created a bubblegum scented cuticle oil? I'm drooling too, don't worry.

The theme for the February 2018 Polish Pickup is Sugar Rush - all things sweet! My Indie Polish was inspired by bubble gum ice cream, and created a nail polish called Bubblegum Ice Cream. If that wasn't good enough, they're also offering a bubblegum scented cuticle oil - yummy!

Here is the inspiration photo My Indie Polish used to create February's offerings:

Let's get onto the swatches of Bubblegum Ice Cream!

Bubblegum Ice Cream is described as a blue crelly with fuchsia metallic flakes. My swatches show Bubblegum Ice Cream applied in 2 easy coats, paired with top coat. The polish dies down glossy, but I do recommend pairing it with a top coat for a longer wear time.

I really think they nailed this polish when comparing it to the above inspiration photo - perfection! This is one of those nail polishes that makes me happy just looking at it, and having it on is even better! I love the contrast of the bright blue base paired with the fuchsia metallic flakes!

Bubblegum Ice Cream will retail for $12.50 USD exclusively on the Polish Pickup website.

Next up, I have the Gumballs cuticle oil to showcase.

Note from My Indie Polish: We took our amazing theracare blend cuticle oil and added the fragrance of gumballs. Our cobalt blue rollerball dispenser features a stainless steel rollerball. This cuticle oil blend is formulated with Evening Primrose oil, which is a well known to contain high levels of linoleic and gamma-linolenic acids which are essential to healthy skin. This blend also contains Calendula oil which is a renowned skin care oil that helps to soften and soothe dry skin.

The cuticle oil comes in a 10ml glass rollerball, perfect for on the go use! The bubblegum scent smells just like your classic original bubblegum, and its delicious!

Gumball cuticle oil will retail for $6.50USD exclusively on the Polish Pickup website.

Will any of these 2 products be making their way into your shopping carts?

My Indie Polish products, along with all other Polish Pickup polishes/products will be available for pre-order during February 2nd-5th only.
