BUT we just wanted you to know that we haven't forgotten about all of our friendz! We are going through a little beautification. EVERYONE is getting a new look, and be on the look out for new friendz.
Also, Maddie, Danny, Lucas, and Mizz KT have started teaching kids in China! You heard it right- CHINA! We get on our computer early morning and sing, play, and learn English with our friendz across the globe. We will be making more videos about how our music and puppet silliness help our friendz learn! STAY TUNED!
And in the meantime, here is our intro video with VIPKID! It's short and sweet:)
Hello Friendz! It's Mizz KT here, and we have been having the most wonderful start to our summer so far. So far, we have performed almost 10 shows to the families of Middle TN! Can you believe it? The other day, we received a piece of art from one of our friendz, and it was so "unique" that we wanted to sing a song all about it. (And don't worry, Danny, Maddie, AND Lucas are all coming back soon... they're just not used to performing all the time, and need lots of down time for rest). Here are the lyrics:
Like every star in the sky
Like every snowflake that I can spy
There's no one quite like me
Not on the highest of mountains
or deepest of seas.
One of a kind it's true.
There's no one in the world who is quite like you.
My eyes, my voice, and my hair
won't be the same anywhere.
And anything I can do
will be a little bit different from you and you!
one of a kind it's true
There's no one in the world who is quite like you!
Thanks again so much friendz for always tuning in, and being on this fantabulous journey with us!
What's up everyone? It's your boy, Danny, the Cat. And man, do we have an amazing video to share with you all today! It's for the song off of our album, Move It and Shake It (available on ITunes, Amazon, and CDBaby). But can you guess the name of the song? That's right! It's Move It and Shake It... oddly enough, we did our "Move It and Shake It" show this morning helping kids learn all about how to take care of yourself... which includes exercise. And I don't know about you, but my favorite kind of exercise (besides fighting that pesky sink monster) is DANCING! In this video, Mizz KT shows you how to do the dance to "Move It and Shake It." Make sure you like the video and share it with all of your friends on Facebook and Instagram and Twitter, and all those good places!

As you know, we've been working on our summer extravaganza, The Three Little Pigs: a 1980's Rock Opera. Part of doing this show is not just rehearsing it, but also building new pieces... including new puppets. Although we are still just having Lucas, Maddie, Danny, and myself in the show, we need extras of everyone to make sure that the show runs smoothly. And so, we wanted to show everyone just how our fabulous puppets are made in this segment of "Make a Puppet." In this video, I show everyone just how to make a "Danny, the Cat" Puppet. Why? Why give away my secrets of how to make my sweet Danny? Because ANYONE can make this puppet! The magic of puppets is not just in how they are made, but how YOU bring them to life. That is what makes them so special, is that every puppet has a life of it's own, and YOU are in charge of that.
Danny Puppet Supplies:
1 Long Sheet of Orange Felt
1 Sheet of White Felt
2 Large Googly Eyes (1 inch)
Orange Thread and Needle
Fabric Markers (Black and Brown)
Hot Glue Gun
Pink Nail Polish
1. Fold the Long Sheet of Orange Felt. Trace out the body of the puppet on the orange felt, and cut out.
2. Smooth out the rough edges, and make sure that the two sides match up.
3. Sew up the edges, making sure to backstitch around the joints.
4. Cut out all of the white pieces, and glue them down. Glue down the ears from the leftover orange strips.
5. Cut out the paws and glue the edges around the edge of the paws.
6. Glue down the googly eyes
7. Cut little strips down the white triangle on his ears, and pull on them so that they are thinner.
8. Use the fabric markers to draw Danny's Stripes, Claws, and Smile.
And we are having a special summer camp, where all of our friends can learn how to make puppets just like these! Just visit our website http://www.settingthestagenashville.com for more information! And until next time!
Here is the sheet to trace and cut out your Danny Puppet:
Well Hello There Friendz,It's your boy, Danny, the Cat. And I made a super awesome video this week. You see, our friend Flight Attendant Bennett, who's gonna be on our new TV show on the NECAT network, just came back from working, and with all of these storms, people couldn't get on their airplane to fly. Well... obviously, they got really upset... and some of them were NOT too kind... So, he personally asked me to make up a song and video all about being kind.Mizz KT helped me look up the word kindness in the dictionary, and it said, "Kindness is being friendly, generous, and considerate." Well... I already knew what friendly was. I mean, I'm a super friendly cat and always say hi to the people that I see... and I smile- A LOT! And being generous, I found out, is when you share a lot. And being considerate is being kind about people's feelings. Friendz, if we share a little more kindness in this world, it'll make it a MUCH awesome-er place! Enjoy!
Well, everyone, it's been real! Make sure if you like this video, OR ANY of our videos, to share them on your social media. Right now, we need to spread a little kindness and silliness. Mizz KT likes to share pictures of otters instead of other stuff... why don't you try sharing or posting something that makes you giggle or laugh today? I'm sure it'll make someone smile, and make THEIR world a better place!Until next time!
Hello Friendz,I have the last installment from our Fall Semester's Creator's Studio at our home campus of Setting the Stage Performing Arts Studio. This time, it's Megan Glewwe's comedy sketch, "Everybody Hates Monday." Megan plays Monday Gymmies, who just can't stay quiet... even through the most inappropriate times... even a PET'S FUNERAL! See how she handles the funeral of her best friend's cat in this installment:
SHAMELESS PLUG ALERT!
We love our sister school, Setting the Stage Performing Arts Studio. If you haven't heard, it's a non-profit organization whose mission is to mold the next generation of storytellers who use their gifts in the performing arts to better our community. We have GREAT projects coming up:1. We are doing the Creator's Studio: Musical Theater Sessions at Smith Springs Elementary School in Antioch, TN, which is a high-risk school. We do this program through the Nashville Area Zone Alliance, who pairs up with other programs in Nashville to bring programs to kids in high-risk areas at little to no cost. The Smith Springs kids have created a musical based on the Summer Olympics in Rio, Brazil, and it is the most adorable!2. We are doing the Creator's Studio: Television Sessions at CASE in Old Hickory, TN, also through the Nashville Area Zone Alliance Program. That will start next week, and we hope to have amazing music videos and comedy sketches to share with you all!3. We are proud to collaborate with Friends Life, an adult special needs school and program, to put on an entirely adult special needs cast production of High School Musical! We are so proud of our programs and students and our helpers! But how can you help? Well, check out our websitehttp://www.settingthestagenashville.comto find out more. We always need volunteers to help us out when we have projects off campus, AND we always take donations in the form of clothing, props, technology (for our video shoots), or money. For how to donate your physical goods, please email us email@example.com to donate, click here:https://squareup.com/store/settingthestagenashvilleThanks Again Friendz!
Hello Friendz! This is the last installment of music videos for the Fall Creator's Studio Class of 2017, and it's a good one... Madison Hamilton is a bright and talented 6th Grade girl who has been through a lot of change in this past year. And how she coped was by writing a beautiful song to express her feelings. That's part of what Mizz KT and Friendz and Setting the Stage Productions is all about. We love giving our younger friendz an outlet to share their feelings in a constructive way. Here is "Goodbye" by Madison Hamilton:

Well Hello Friendz! It's me, Lucas, the Dachshund! I tell you what... that is the LAST time that I let Maddie write my posts! She has NO idea which homonyms go where! Obviously, she hasn't listened to our song lately... And speaking of Maddie, she and I and Danny AND Mizz KT saw the new live-action Beauty and the Beast. OH, it was SO magical! The singing and the dancing! I LOVED it. I think my favorite was "Be Our Guest!" It was so fun and beautiful that it made me cry... What was YOUR favorite part? Be sure to leave us a comment below and tell us!!
On that note (literally), Maddie and I were so inspired that we decided to cover the classic song, "Beauty and the Beast." I told her that we were covering Celine Dion and Peebo Bryson... she thinks that we were covering Arianna Grande and John Legend. Can you even imagine? These kids these days, they don't know the oldies;) Anyhoo, please enjoy our version of "Beauty and the Beast," featuring Ralphie, the keytar!
A reminder that we have SO many shows coming up this summer for our first STATE-WIDE TOUR!! Can you believe it? A state-wide tour? We're even going to Milan... which I'm told is a city in Tennessee and NOT just the fashion capital of Italy. You can see all of our tour dates on our website here:http://www.mizzktandfriendz.com/live-shows. Our first show is at the Madison Library on May 31st! Be there or be square!Until next time, dear friendz!
Well, Hello Friendz! It's me Maddie, the Puggle! And we made a really fun video for you this week! We sang one of Mizz KT's favorite songs by one of her favorite music artists, "Billie Jean" by Michael Jackson. But this time, we did it A Capella! That means NO INSTRUMENTS AT ALL! We just used our voices to make this video. Danny, the Cat, of course, was beat-boxing, which means that he was the drums and all of the percussion sounds. Lucas, was the bass line since he has the lowest voice. Mizz KT was pretending to be the piano and synthesizer... since she does love her synthesizers like Raphie (who is part guitar and synthesizer/keyboard). And I, of course, sang the lead vocals, and I think that Michael Jackson would have been proud of what I sang! Check it out, and if you haven't subscribed to our YouTube Channel, make sure to hit that little red button to subscribe.
Also, we have a TOOOON of shows booked for our Three Little Pigs: A 1980's Rock Opera Show this summer. Check out all of our dates on our website here:http://www.mizzktandfriendz.com/live-shows.Hope to see you all at our shows, but instead of bringing me flowers, bring me fruit! Then, I'll be yours forever;)LOOOOOOOOOVE,
