Why? Just why? I don’t get it. DRIVE PROPERLY YOU SHIT HEADS! I’ve been driving for 12 years so I guess I am quite an experienced driver, but still to this day I’m left bewildered on a daily basis by the way some people drive on the roads in the UK. I’m fairly certain that people who have life-threatening indicator allergies are one of the most common pet peeves for most of us drivers. Police should pull these people over, violently drag them from their cars and piss all over them. Too much? Okay, just scream at them then. I mean, how hard is it to push a stick up or down? JUST DO IT! (uh oh, see below) Shia LaBeouf knows EXACTLY what we need to start doing to people who don’t use their indicators. Walk to their cars and scream “JUST DO IT” through their windows. Hahahaha. It’s not just the non-indicators who drive me crazy. Equally annoying are the people who pull out on you on roundabouts or at junctions. But not just any old pull out, oh no, these people will pull out on you right after looking you in the eye with a smug grin on […]

I love making and saving money from the comfort of my own home, so as you can imagine I have spent many hours of my time finding and using all of the cashback sites out there which means I am able to bring you a list of the best cashback websites worth using in the UK right now. Everybody should be using cashback websites to make or save money, however you wish to look at it, it’s a no-brainer. Cashback is also tax-free because it’s technically a delayed saving. What is Cashback? Cashback is a type of cash reward (and sometimes points) given to you for making purchases via affiliate links. Cashback sites will receive a commission when you click through to retailers from their websites and make a purchase, and this is then split with you. It costs you nothing. You can get cashback for shopping at your favourite retailers like Argos, eBay, ASDA, Waitrose, Tesco and even when buying car, home and life insurance, and booking holidays. It really pays to take the time to join and use cashback websites every day. How Much Can You Make with Cashback Sites? How much you can make, or save, by […]

Do you ever play the bridge ducking game whilst traveling by car with your kids? Whenever I’m driving anywhere on the motorway with Poppy and Marty we always play the bridge ducking game. On Friday we went to Fairhaven Lake, and on Sunday we went to Formby Beach, and on both of those days we must have dodged hundreds of bridges. What is the bridge ducking game? Well, I’m sure you have already guessed from the header picture and name. The bridge ducking game involves the brilliant eyesight of your kids, and their frequent shouting of army-like orders to “GET DOWN! DUCKKK!” when your car is about to go under a bridge. They then throw their heads down as if they’re preparing for an emergency airplane landing in the ocean, and if they miss one I ask them where their head is gone. Haha. It’s great fun, makes long journeys seem shorter and is great to listen to your kids being imaginative and fun. In our car, Poppy usually spots the bridges and Marty calls out the colour. Sometimes the kids even pull out their super duper magical imaginary binocular goggles so that they can spot the bridges that the […]

I had such a lovely day with Poppy and Marty yesterday. It was a really nice, sunny day just like on Friday when I took my little beauties to check out the wonderful Fairhaven Lake in Lytham St Annes, so I decided I would take them to Formby to search for some red squirrels and check out the beach. I knew they’d love it. For those who aren’t aware, Formby beach and the surrounding pinewoods (including squirrels) are looked after by the National Trust. It’s a beautiful place just off Victoria Road in Formby. Formby Red Squirrel Walk The red squirrel walk takes you through stunning pinewoods along sandy trails and pathways where you can see gorgeous red squirrels running, climbing, playing and eating. It costs a couple of quid to enter with a car, and we parked in the pinewoods (you can also park next to the beach further down) opposite an entry to the trail, and not too far from the ice cream van that is always there, which the kids were excited about. And off we went. First, the kids found a pinecone each: We were only 25 metres or so into the walk when Poppy found her first […]

It was quite a nice, sunny day yesterday in England so I decided to take my kids to check out Fairhaven Lake in Lytham St Annes, a place I am becoming increasingly fond of. Fairhaven Lake is right next to the beach, close to Granny’s Bay and Stanner Bank, making it a great place to take your kids as you can enjoy everything the lake and gardens have to offer and then head over to the beach afterwards to build sand castles and collect seashells. Tennis, boating, basketball, bowls and a skate park are just some of the activities available. Fairhaven Lake & Gardens with My Kids Fairhaven Lake is a very picturesque place and there’s so much to do there aside from the obvious lovely morning or evening walk with a friend, partner or dog. It’s the perfect place for it. The first thing we noticed when we entered the park via the pay and display car park was the Spitfire Memorial which you can see in my header picture as Poppy and Marty are running across the castle wall (yeah, it’s a castle wall haha). It’s a really lovely feature in the gardens. The beautiful lake and gardens are […]

TopCashback is the latest addition to my list of best cashback sites and easily takes the top spot as the best and most rewarding website to be a part of from my list, but I would always recommend using all of the sites to maximise your cashback and make the most cash you can online. What is TopCashback? TopCashback is the crème de la crème when it comes to cashback websites and making money online. It’s the UK’s highest paying cashback site, easily beating QuidCo. TopCashback has millions of members and thousands of merchants and are renowned for paying the highest percentage of their commission to their users, sometimes even more than 100% of it, which is incredible. They guarantee the highest cashback and will always beat competitors. How Does TopCashack Work? TopCashback is a great example of affiliate marketing done right. So impressive. Basically, when you click on a link from the TopCashback website and make a purchase on a merchants store like Reebok or Adidas, TopCashback will be paid a % commission. This commission is then shared with its members, you, and this is called cashback. It costs you nothing, but TopCashback will earn a bit of money, and […]

If the past three years have showed us anything, it’s that having no abs and a little bit of flab is perfectly fine. Hey, not everyone can be chiselled out of granite, right? It was dubbed the “dad bod,” and it apparently shows “a nice balance between a beer gut and working out,” according to GQ. A whole lot of guys—actual dads or not—and gals approved of it, because again, not everyone can have a six-pack, and again, it’s okay, just as long as it’s just a bit of a flab and not a massive blob. But why settle for the dad bod when you can get superhero fit? You know, sculpted and ripped like the god of thunder Thor, svelte but agile like Iron Man, lean and mean like Vision, or all jacked and muscular like Captain America. Hello, Superhero Body As with most things in life, time has changed our attitudes to the perfect body, and superheroes didn’t always have perfect physiques. As The Atlantic notes the first ever on-screen Superman, Kirk Alyn, “looked more like a college athlete than an alien Adonis,” while Batman, portrayed by Adam West, looked more like a layman rather than a crime-busting […]

As mentioned in my Valentine’s Day 2018 post yesterday, I went to see Fifty Shades Freed, the latest instalment in the popular Fifty Shades franchise after months of waiting. Before seeing new film I had been reading a lot of negative reviews online and noticed a tragic 4/10 rating on IMDB so I was worried that this may be a negative end to the franchise. But then I realised something. Grey, Darker and Freed all have ratings of 4/10 on IMDB. So strange. I’m glad I went to the cinema and gave it a chance after reading those reviews. Sure, it has lost what made Fifty Shades of Grey so sexy and exciting, with none of the BDSM stuff, but Fifty Shades Freed is still a very sexy film. Dakota Johnson is so beautiful. Freed sees Anastasia Steele become Mrs. Grey and follows them as Anastasia slowly adapts to her new life with billionaire Husband, Christian Grey, sometimes struggling to deal with the hands-off lifestyle she has married into. And as you’d expect, there are plenty of hot sex scenes. It also sees troubled and bitter Jack Hyde return for revenge after he was removed from the company Steele worked at by Grey […]

20 Cogs is a new addition to my cashback sites post and another fantastic way for you to make a bit of additional cash from the comfort of your own home. Remember that sites like 20 Cogs won’t make you rich, but they can easily make you a couple of hundred pounds a year. What is 20 Cogs? 20 Cogs is a fun and unique way to make money online by taking part in competitions, playing games, completing online surveys and taking advantage of great offers like signing up for free trials, grabbing casino and bingo bonuses and lots of other simple and easy tasks. You could be forgiven for thinking 20 Cogs is a cashback site because it sort of is in a way, it’s just structured a little differently. The average user earns over £200 for completing 20 cogs. How to Make Money with 20 Cogs To make money on 20 Cogs you need to turn 20 cogs green by completing offers. Cogs start out light grey – when you complete an offer each cog will turn dark grey, then orange when your payment is pending, and finally green when it has been confirmed. Here’s how your cogs look […]
