What’s a great Christmas gift for your officemates this year?
I’d have to answer… MegRythm Steam Eye Masks!

MegRythm Steam Eye Mask
A unique self-warming eye mask that relieves and relaxes tired eyes in just 10 minutes. This disposable steam mask warms gradually to a comfortable 40℃ to gently soothe and relieve eye fatigue. Also, steam produced moisten and soothe your eye skin area.

MegRythm Steam Eye Mask
Last February, I saw a bunch of these MegRythm Steam Eye Masks in Singapore and I kept thinking to myself “It would’ve been nice to have one in the office.” Who knew steam eye masks would be a thing here in the country? These steam eye masks would’ve been a life saver for me when I was working 8 hours in front of a computer.
It’s a pretty innovative product and I asked my husband to try it. He was pretty skeptical until he almost fell asleep wearing the mask on.
It’s a self-warming eye mask that relaxes tired eyes in just 10 minutes. You just have to put it on, close your eyes, and wait for the warm steam that soothes and relieves eye fatigue. It’s so much better than washing your whole face in the office. I mean sure, I had officemates that do that. They just quickly go to the washroom and wash their face and eyes out. But for women, for me… I’d rather use the eye mask than take off the foundation, blush, and brows that took almost an hour for me to put on.
For me, this product isn’t just something that relaxes tired eyes. It’s an instant pick-me-upper during the afternoon, something that relaxes my eyes and at the same time relaxes my mood.
It’s a must try and I’m even considering giving it away this Christmas season!

You’ve seen me use the EB Advance Contour Shade and Light Palette for a few months now. And while we think that contouring’s a trend that’s died down, I bet you a lot of people still continue to contour, and one of them is me…

EB Advance Contour Shade and Light Palette
Bring out that sculpted, defined look with the EB Advance Contour Shade and Light Palette. This palette contains three neutral contouring shades, and three highlighting shades in an all matte formula to give a more realistic definition.

Add depth and dimension back to your makeup look with the new EB Advance Contour Palette.

EB Advance Contour Shade and Light Palette Review
I’m not a big fan of contouring. I appreciate the art, don’t get me wrong. But I already have huge cheek bones and I don’t want to enhance it more by contouring my cheeks. What I’m extremely fond of though is contouring my nose. Sometimes in pictures or videos, you’ll see me with a pointier nose than usual, and that’s all thanks to makeup.
Let’s talk about the EB Advance Contour Shade and Light Palette. Love the packaging! It looks like it’s an eyeshadow palette with a huge mirror inside, but nope, it comes with three contour powders and three highlighting powders that are all matte. I’m not extremely fond of the shades. I wish they included a highlighter with shimmers as the other matte powders look just like face powder to me. What I always use though is the yellow-ish one, the matte banana shade I would call it for highlighting my nose bridge. As for the contour shades, I find them all too warm. I tend to use the lightest one on the left as it’s the one that resembles a grey undertone the most. The middle shade looks neutral while the last shade on the right looks pretty warm.
Pigmentation is pretty amazing whether you use your fingers or a brush, but it’s a little powdery for me and tends to have a lot of fallout. I just tap my brush before I create shadows on my nose and that tends to do the job. As for longevity, the contour powders are pretty long-lasting in this climate. I usually blot my nose with tissue, and while there’s a bit of transfer, it doesn’t seem like it’s going anywhere at all. It definitely depends on how you touch up… but for me, I can still see the contour after four to five hours in this hot weather.
Overall thoughts? I think the shades are too warm, but the quality’s already there. I’d totally love it if they created a version 2 of this EB Advance Contour Shade and Light Palette and hopefully, they’ve got shimmery highlighters for us! This retails for PHP 395 and is available at your leading department stores.
What do you think about the contour palette? Did you get it?
Also, congratulations to…

The Snow Crystal White product line’s gotten me very curious over the past year. I’ve heard amazing things from my friends and readers, and now that I’ve been using them for more than a month, it’s time to share a full review!

Snow Crystal White Tomato Tablet
Price: PHP 2985
Snow Crystal White Tomato contains some of the most potent ingredients for healthy white skin. It has 800mg of Colorless Carotenoids (PhytoflORAL®), derived from a unique breed of white tomatoes that effectively whitens skin and reduce the sings of skin aging.
It is clinically proven to produce significant benefits such as whitening, evens out skin tone, increases its ability to defend itself against UVA & UVB rays. It contains some of the most potent ingredients for healthy white skin.
Snow Crystal White Tomato Tablet Review
As much as I want to say that it worked wonders on whitening my skin, it didn’t. I never really noticed any glow, any whitening, nor evening out of my skin tone which is very unfortunate because my beauty blogger friends said that this product was quite effective on them.
What I did notice though was that I wasn’t as sleepy and I had a bit more energy compared to the days before I took the tablets. Another thing I observed was I didn’t feel thirsty at all. Usually, when I took whitening pills, I would feel this dryness on my throat telling my brain that I need to hydrate, but I never experienced anything like that while taking the tablets.
This might have worked for other people, my friends included, but unfortunately the Snow Crystal White Tomato Tablets did not work for me.

Snow Crystal White Tomato Soap
Price: PHP 299
Maintain a youthful and radiant skin with this whitening soap. It contains anti-inflammatory and antioxidant agents to help moisturize and protect skin from radicals that cause wrinkles and age spots, preserving skin’s healthy glow.
It contains IBR snowflakes – slows down skin aging by increasing skin’s natural defense against free radicals and cell damage; IBR TCLC in jojoba oil –absorbs UV light to brighten and reduce effect on damaging skin; Gigawhite – potent whitening agent that contains 7 plant extracts that lighten skin and reduce appearance of age spots; Ace-BS – helps moisturize skin and blemishes

Snow Crystal White Tomato Soap Review

I think there’s something wrong with my skin tone.
Again, a lot of my readers said this soap is pretty amazing and a must try… but now that I’ve tried it, I don’t notice anything at all. I have pretty uneven skin tone right now, you can call it a tan line from our recent day spent at the cemetery visiting mom, and I’m waiting for the Snow Crystal White Tomato Soap to work and it still hasn’t. It’s almost a month now and I don’t notice much difference at all.
Is there something up with my skin and tomatoes? I’m pretty yellow, so that’s gotta be it, right? Is that why the line isn’t working for me?
After almost a month’s use, my skin didn’t get any lighter or even at all. The soap reminds me so much of the soap bars that I buy from my dermatologist. They’re usually clear in color, they have the same smell too, and melts pretty fast. It’s not the most moisturizing, but it’s not drying at all. It smells pretty cocountty, not a fan, but it’s tolerable.

Snow Pore Minimizer Toner
Price: PHP 149
Snow Pore Minimizer Toner is a clarifying solution that exfoliates, controls excess oil, and refines pores without over-drying. Degunks and reduces the appearance of large pores; gently sloughs off dead skin cells without irritating skin; controls excess oil production; clarifies acne and other impurities
Snow Pore Minimizer Toner Review
Finally, a product that worked for me! I actually bought this product because online, it’s marketed as something that helps with acne, although once I read the box, it doesn’t claim anything like that at all. What I do know is that it’s described to have antibacterial properties, that it balances the skin’s pH levels, and that it prevents clogged pores and that it smoothens the skin’s texture.
It feels quite cold when applied and I think that’s what makes the pores shrink giving it a smoother look. I also have to say that I’m really feeling the balanced pH level claims because it just feels so refreshing on skin like it’s vacuumed up all the oils, yet left the skin hydrated.
When it comes to reducing acne, it actually helps, but it doesn’t really contain any salicylic acid which works best on me. Still, I do recommend that you try this product because it’s pretty amazing at removing any dirt or makeup that your cleanser wasn’t able to wash off. Think of it as the last product that helps clean your face (when your makeup remover and cleanser didn’t do their job) before you sleep.
Have you tried any of the products above? What’s your experience?
