For the last few days, I've been non-stop shopping for things that we're going to need in our new flat. I've already bought new plates, pans, kitchen knives, bed sheets, curtain rods, just about everything that we need when we move.
I was a bit overwhelmed on those trips and I was very unsure of my purchases. You see, I haven't personally seen the space that we're moving into, so even choosing the colors of the curtains were pretty difficult for me.
However, there were two purchases that I was very happy with...
I mean, have you ever seen laundry hampers as chic and stylish as these?
I actually bought the marble laundry hamper last December as a gift to myself. You might be thinking that was a pretty lame birthday gift, but I've been really happy with the purchase and I can't wait to use it at our new flat. I believe it's still available in Landmark Alabang and Trinoma but in the color black.
Meanwhile, the grey chevron laundry hamper is something that I got just two days ago. Both of them are made with a canvas-like material and have handles on the sides perfect when you're about to carry them and do some laundry.
That is one of the most common questions that I get whenever I have friends, family or even readers abroad who will be visiting Manila. And even though there's a ton of malls here in the country, I always tell them they should visit SM Makati because of the broad selection.
And this 2018, SM Beauty just made every beauty lover's dream come true... Say hello to the new SM Beauty Playground!
I was kind of surprised because the beauty hall got a total makeover and it now carries more brands than ever. It now has premium cosmetics brands such as Clinique, Bobbi Brown, Kiehl's, Estee Lauder, MAC, Benefit, and Shiseido.
Of course, it still carries the popular brands such as Maybelline, L'Oreal, BYS, In2it, Max Factor, Covergirl, Sleek Makeup, Revlon, Jordana, Burt's Bees, Pop Beauty, Pixi, OFRA, LA Girl, Flormar, Palladio, the Korean brand Clio, Etude House, Japanese cosmetics like KATE Tokyo and K-Palette, and our very own local brands such as BLK Cosmetics, Ever Bilena, Happy Skin, VICE Cosmetics, and Detail Makeover to name a few.
When it comes to skin care, you can also see the top brands in the world such as Avene, Bioderma, Origins, Sebamed, Olay, Pond's, Glam Glow, Marula Oil, Fillerina, VMV Hypoallergenics and more.
If you're looking for natural and organic beauty products, you can check out Ellana Cosmetics, Eye of Horus, Human Nature, The Body Shop, St. Ives, and a whole lot more.
Now, let's not forget our other beauty needs such as nail polish and fragrances. You can also find Sally Hansen, ANNY, ORLY, OPI plus scents like Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, Versace, Bvlgari, Escada, Guess, GUCCI, Calvin Klein, Lacoste, Nautica, and BOSS here in the SM Beauty Playground.
SM Beauty Playground is the ultimate place to discover, experience, and play with the widest range of beauty products and services in just one place. You can discover more than a hundred beauty brands, get to know the newest makeup collections, trendiest makeup styles and techniques, and also get pampered within the same beauty hall. You can get your skin analyzed, have your brows groomed, hair colored, get facials with your gal pals and more.
Wandering around the beauty hall, there's one thing I noticed about the place. It was that even though SM Beauty Playground carries hundreds of brands, it still seems very organized. Like, I still know where to find makeup, where the skincare section is, where the fragrances and nail stuff are... I just seem to know where everything is and that's the best feeling ever. I didn't feel lost nor overwhelmed like in other malls.
The beauty associates are also quite helpful at SM Makati. There were times where I shopped and had some freebies and then the cashier forgot to put them inside my shopping bag... I just came back a few days after and the beauty associates still remembered me and already knew what to do. They're very, very helpful.
The SM Beauty Playground just became the one-stop-shop for all of my needs. Now, I don't have to make appointments a week in advance just to have my brows groomed or my hair colored. I can just drop by any time at Benefit or L'Oreal or even Shiseido to have a facial at the comfort of my time. The next time I drop by, I'll surely bring some girl friends over and have a date and a little makeover!
So, have you visited the new SM Beauty Playground yet? What brands caught your eye?
VICE Cosmetics came out with a set of mini-lipsticks called Little Ponies and I just had to have it. I have been wanting to try Vice Ganda's liquid lipsticks for some time now, but all the shades were just too pretty that I didn't know what to choose.
Thank goodness they came out with a mini-liquid-lipstick-set of their bestsellers. Now, I don't have to choose what shade I should try out first.
Hubby got this for me when we were in Trinoma. The packaging was so on point and it was really eye-catching. It also has a little note at the back of the card with Vice Ganda's words of wisdom. It was really thoughtful of the brand to do this. It adds a bit of a personal touch.
Little Ponies contain four of their best-selling liquid lipstick shades namely Little Pony, Little Benjamin, Little Whoops Kiri, and Little Girly. I thought it was really funny and purely genius of Vice Ganda to name the shades after her movie characters or her songs.
VICE Cosmetics swatch L-R: Little Pony, Little Benjamin, Little Whoops Kiri, Little Girly
The shade Little Pony looks like a true nude; Little Benjamin is a cool MLBB pink; Little Whoops Kiri is more of a warm rose; and Little Girly is more of a burnt orange.
VICE Cosmetics Little Ponies Review
I know VICE Cosmetics has been making rounds for a while now and I've heard mixed reviews about their lipsticks... some like it... some don't... and so I just had to figure out and try for myself.
First of all, packaging and branding is genius. Having your makeup line in a hot metallic pink is just a very risky and bold move that I'm not even wondering why it's always sold out in stores. It's just a head-turner. The lipstick itself comes in a clear plastic bottle with a doe-foot applicator. I like that I can immediately see what shade I'm picking up and how much I've got left. I also like the applicator as it applies the formula sharply and evenly on my lips. Also, one thing to note, even though it's a mini-liquid-lipstick, I never found it difficult to use or hold upon application. The length of the cap was just right.
When it comes to the formula, I've had people tell me that it was too drying and thick BUT I beg to differ. I actually find the formula as thin, lightweight, and applies evenly on my lips. It has a bit of a sweet scent that disappears, so I don't mind it at all. It also completely dries to a powdery matte finish just after a few minutes and pigmentation doesn't disappoint. I find that it achieves my desired color after just one layer, but it is buildable too.
As for longevity, I was a bit surprised to know that this can last from lunch all the way to dinner. I wore it around 11:30, ate lunch, drank some water, ate some snacks, had pizza for dinner, and the color, even though faded, was still there. I was also wearing the lightest shade called Pony and I was really pleasantly surprised. I wasn't really expecting these lippies to be long-lasting, but hey, they are. I also like how the color never went outside of my lip lines even though I was eating greasy food. The color faded very gracefully and I am loving it.
Is this worth the hype? I would have to say heck yes! I'm actually kind of confused on how other people are complaining saying that this product is drying, because it's really not. My lips were so comfortable even after a 7-hour wear.
The formula feels so light and the color is buildable. Even though it has a powdery matte finish, I never found these lipsticks to be drying at all. It didn't transfer much to glasses or cups while I was drinking or eating and I didn't really feel the need to re-touch after meals. It does fade a bit after meals, but it's not something that you have to touch up immediately.
If you've never tried out VICE Cosmetics before, I suggest you get this VICE Cosmetics Little Ponies set. You get four different shades for just PHP 395. I am loving the formula, the product, basically the whole line, and it gets two thumbs up from me.
Last weekend, I met up with a few friends and they asked me if I was still using glutathione capsules. I answered no, I was not. I am not a regular user of glutathione or whitening capsules. I actually only drink them whenever I get tanned or sun burnt from beach trips. And since I just came back from a recent beach trip, I thought I'd share my quick thoughts about my go-to Mosbeau Placenta White Advanced. Mosbeau Placenta White Advanced Review I know there are tons of whitening products and whitening pills out in the market. But for the past few years, this product has been my go-to. This also isn't the most affordable product that I've used, but I found that these placenta capsules to be the most effective when I want to see immediate results.
For this Mosbeau product, you're advised to take four capsules a day which I find difficult. You see, I'm really bad at trying to remember to take vitamins... let alone having to take one product four times in a day. But I do feel like these capsules are easier to swallow since they are candy-coated and smaller than other glutathione capsules I've tried.
One thing I've also noticed while taking these capsules is I tend to drink more water. There's this thirst in my mouth whenever I take these for the first two weeks and I'm completely fine with it. I'm not a big water-drinker anyway, so if anything at all, I feel like this benefits my body too.
After about two to three weeks of intake is when I usually see a difference in my skin. No, it doesn't immediately lighten up my skin color back to normal pre-beach-days, but the first thing I would usually notice is a glow, and then it goes from there. When it comes to my pimples, I feel like it doesn't help nor worsen my pimple condition. It doesn't really affect it at all.
As for now, I think the best way to prevent your skin from getting sun burned or getting too tanned is to just use rashguards. It took me 27 years to let go of my two-piece bathing suits and just sticking to rashguards, but it's probably the best decision I've made last month. I still use sunscreens and SPF50 or more for extra protection. But if you're already tanned and you're looking for a whitening product, I'd totally recommend you to try this product out. I've tried a few glutathione capsules and this one's on the thumbs-up list. I believe this retails for PHP 1650 at drugstores and department stores.
If you have whitening products/capsules suggestions, do let me know! I still have a few summer getaways lined up.
Welcome to my newest blog post series called Three to Try, where I introduce you to different brands and three products you should check out from them.
Today, we're focusing on a brand called The Beauty Bakery.
The Beauty Bakery
They're a local beauty brand catering to all ages and different sizes and they pride themselves on all-natural, paraben and preservative-free products that are made fresh for us. They have body butters, facial sprays, and whipped lotions that smell oh so good that even I want to eat them.
The Beauty Bakery Witch Hazel + Tea Tree Gentle Facial Wash Review
I have been using this product for three weeks now and I can't tell you how good it is in calming down my acne. I don't know what happened, but when the month of March came, I just had pimples popping out of nowhere and my facial wash from my dermatologist wasn't working at all. I've used a lot of calming products, but this is the only one that worked and basically got rid of the army of pimples on my forehead.
It comes in a clear plastic bottle with a pump and I use about two to three pumps for every wash. It also smells so good compared to other natural brands I've tried before. It contains witch hazel extract, anti-bacterial tea tree extracts, and lemon essence to name a few.
This Beauty Bakery Witch Hazel + Tea Tree Gentle Facial Wash is probably the most gentle cleanser that I've tried. It's easy to lather on and it doesn't leave any stinging sensation or tight feeling when you rinse it off. It healed and cleared up my forehead acne in about a week.
It retails for PHP 225 and I think this would last me about six weeks total use. It's currently sold out online, so I'll have to wait for the restock once I run out.
The Beauty Bakery Clarifying Witch Hazel Facial Mist Review
It comes in a heavy frosted glass bottle and it has an amazing spray. This spray promises and definitely delivers a mist unlike other brands do. I just love the packaging that it comes in. It has witch hazel, tea tree, and lemon extracts just like the facial wash and this also claims to combat inflammation and bacteria.
While I can't attest that I've seen any major difference on my pimples using this mist, I can promise you that this is very hydrating and it's fast absorbed by skin. You don't need to wait for five minutes before you can move on to applying your next skincare product or makeup. This dries after about a minute and probably just seconds when you're in front of the fan or AC.
This is also a good facial spray whenever you feel like your makeup is too cakey or when your skin is too dry. It just feels so refreshing whenever I spray this on my face throughout the day, and hey, this also has anti-bacterial properties, and who wouldn't want that. Right?
This retails for PHP 199.
The Beauty Bakery Pimple Spot Treatment Review
And finally, the product that started it all... The Beauty Bakery Multipurpose Pimple Spot Treatment. You can read my full review here.
This is the first product I've tried from the brand and because it healed my pimples way, way faster than salyclic acid does, I've decided to try more products from them. It comes in a plastic packaging with a doe foot applicator. The product is quite runny and it doesn't sting my skin at all. They usually heal up after a few days.
How I wish this was in a bigger bottle, a serum maybe? This retails for PHP 120 and I am definitely ready to buy more.
Have you tried any product from The Beauty Bakery? I just ordered a few more products from them two days ago and they already emailed me that my items are being shipped. I'm a little bit excited to try out more.
Oh, and how do you like my Three to Try segment? What brands would you like me to feature next? Let me know in the comments below!

I've never been a fan of toners. I've always thought they were just an extra step to skin care routines, plus my first ever toner broke me out way, way back in high school. I can seriously say I've hated toners for 10 years now.
I thought this product was different... Well, at least my first bottle was...
GT Clarifiance Witch Hazel Toner Review
I've purchased two bottles of this GT Clarifiance Toner and the results were very, very different.
My first bottle of the GT Clarifiance Witch Hazel Toner was such a dream to use. It basically cleared my skin of pimples and there were weeks where I didn't even need to wash my face and use a lot of acne-drying products. I just removed my makeup with my L'Oreal Micellar Water and applied this toner after, then I was off to bed and I had no breakouts the morning after. I've had amazingly clear skin for weeks because of this toner. My skin was glowing and my pimples were almost gone but then I ran out...
I decided to purchase two more bottles of GT Clarifiance Toner. I even hoarded a bit because it was pretty difficult to find in Watsons and super markets. When I was in the super market, I noticed the packaging was a bit different from the first bottle I bought. Somehow the print looked faded, but I checked the manufacturing and expiration dates and it was new stock, so I bought two.
My second bottle of this toner was a disaster. It literally did nothing to my skin. It didn't calm my pimples. It didn't prevent any new breakouts. There was no glow. I just felt like it wasn't the same formula compared to the first bottle I used. I was so disappointed in the second bottle I bought. I feel like I bought a bad batch of this toner. It was a complete dud.
But at least, I knew that witch hazel's anti-bacterial properties worked amazing with my skin and pimples. I probably won't be buying another bottle of this GT Clarifiance Toner any time soon. Instead, I'll be trying witch hazel toners from different brands.
If you were to ask me if I'd repurchase this in the future, I would definitely say yes. It's very affordable at PHP 89 (I think) and my experience with the first bottle was great. It's just that the inconsistency in the formulas threw me off. I'll just be off exploring other brands right now... but I'm not closing my heart to this toner.
Did Colourpop just create a dupe for my holy grail brow product?
Colourpop, one of my favorite brands, has done it again. They've made me buy another one of their products and I'm not feeling any guilty at all. Don't get me wrong, I am still madly in love with my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade... It's just that I changed my color a little bit and instead of buying another ABH, I thought it was the perfect time to test out the Colourpop Precision Brow Colour.
This selfie was obviously taken before I cut my hair short. They say that Laguna is supposed to be colder compared to the metro, but it's so, so hot and humid in here that I can't even imagine how hot it is in other areas of the country. Plus, I don't go to the office anymore, so sadly, no more free AC for me. Lol.
Colourpop Precision Brow Colour Review
Dope Taupe is described as a soft taupe and is the most versatile among all the shades. I find it not too warm nor too dark, it's very, very neutral, and I'd describe it almost as a grey. I think it's the perfect shade to buy if you don't know what to get. It's also described as water-resistant and an all-day-wear brow colour.
Packaging is very similar to Anastasia Beverly Hills, except it's a little more minimalistic and cleaner to look at. It comes in a clear-glass jar with a plastic lid which is very ABH too, but I just remember how it felt when I first opened my ABH pomade. ABH just had this feeling that you're really getting a high-end product. It's weird and maybe it's just me looking at the classy black and gold design that it has.
Another thing that I noticed was the texture. The Colourpop Brow Colour was so much smoother compared to ABH (which felt more clay-like) in terms of application. I always have to be careful on how much product I get because a little goes a long, long way. It's very pigmented and smooth and it's just a dream to apply on the brows. You also don't have to worry if you're in a humid country because this brow product can definitely stay all-day. I find that it's water-resistant, sweat-resistant, and no need for re-touch at all.
I actually like this product but I won't say that this is a dupe of my ABH mainly because of the texture. The ABH felt more pomade and was a little tacky and clay-like... Meanwhile, this Colourpop Brow Colour felt more of a brow cream which I guess is the reason why it's so smooth to apply. This doesn't have any scent and I've been using this for months now and I feel like I've only used up 95% of it. This will last me probably a year or more as I prefer natural-looking brows and I'm just mostly filling in the sparse areas.
If you're thinking and having second thoughts about whether you should try this or not, I would just say go for it and buy it. The quality is so good that it's basically more than what you're paying for. It's a dream to apply and it stays all-day. This is not a dupe, but still definitely a great product from Colourpop yet again.
Another product that I picked up a few weeks ago was this BLK Cosmetics BB + CC Cream Stick.I usually test out products for a long time, minimum of 3 to 4 weeks, but I feel like I've worn this BB + CC Cream enough already to give you my full thoughts about them.
If you have blemished skin like me, here's what to expect...
So the BLK Cosmetics BB + CC Cream Stick comes in three shades. Upon swatching them, the shades didn't really go from lightest to darkest. I feel like it was more based upon undertone. The first shade I tried was too pink and the other shade was too warm for me, so I got this yellow undertone one which surprisingly matched me well.
One end of this stick is for foundation and the other end holds a mini-brush.
The brush was soft but too packed-in.
Not sure which product is inside, but I think the BB cream is the one outside and the middle one is the CC cream.
Coverage test L-R: Bare and with BLK Cosmetics BB + CC Cream Stick in Light Beige.
BLK Cosmetics BB + CC Cream Stick Review
Alright, first up, the packaging... This foundation stick comes in a plastic packaging and I am loving the designs. The box is super cute and I'm really liking the color blue in it. This stick has two different ends -- one end holds the foundation and the other end holds the brush. It has 6 grams of product and it's a little chubbier compared to other stick foundations I've tried.
For the brush, I'm kind of on the fence on whether I like it or not. Don't get me wrong, it's super soft and dense, but I just feel like it's not applying the foundation as well as my normal sized-brushes do. I feel like instead of buffing and building the coverage up, it just kind of spreads the product out. Maybe it's too small? I'm not sure. But it's just totally better to use a different brush or your fingers for application.
As for the foundation stick, I'm surprised that it doesn't feel thick and tacky at all. In fact, it feels so thin, so smooth, and it's very light on the skin. It's just so easy to spread and blend and it's probably because of the CC cream's moisturizing properties. No matter how much I put on my skin, it just feels so lightweight. This honestly feels like I applied a lightweight cream rather than a BB cream on my face.
Since we're talking about BB creams, I know that they're kind of unpredictable when it comes to shades. They either give me a pink-greyish cast or they look too white... So, I'm very thankful that BLK Cosmetics had this shade with a yellow undertone. I feel like it did truly adjust to my skin tone. I didn't have to worry if my face looked too light or too pink compared to my neck. It just adjusted and matched perfectly.
Coverage-wise, it doesn't really do much for my blemishes and redness. I really, really tried to layer and build it up, but the foundation just really wasn't able to cover the red bumps. Good thing that this product is lightweight, because I do still need to color correct and add concealer to my blemishes.
And when it comes to keeping oiliness at bay, I'd like to say it depends on where you are. When I'm in a colder area or an air-conditioned room for the whole day, it would take me about 4 to 5 hours before I would need to blot and powder up. And when I'm out and about in this summer heat, I usually powder my T-zone at around hour 3 or 4. I have oily-combination skin and my cheeks are usually dry throughout the whole day.
I just wish that this BLK Cosmetics BB + CC Cream Stick was released during the colder months, mainly December to January. My skin just tends to be super dull, dry, and flaky during those months and I feel like this product would be a perfect match. It's very travel-friendly, easy to use, and it feels amazing on skin. The formula is just so lightweight that I forget that I applied anything on.
Although this product doesn't claim to have oil-control, it does promise to give me a glow and a luminous look... which I definitely agree with. It doesn't look to dewy on skin, but it does give me a natural glow which I like. If you have dry and dull skin, I'd recommend you give this a go. If you have oily skin like me, make sure to use a primer and always set it with powder. And if you have acne-prone skin, just use concealer on the spots, and you're good to go.
I'll definitely be keeping this product since I love the glow that it gives me. It reminds me so much of my Banila Co It Radiant CC Cream, but this one's more subtle.
This retails for PHP 495 and is available at BLK Cosmetics counters near you.
What's your summer foundation? Would love to hear what you're using!
My husband forced me to shop for five hours last weekend. I'm not sure if that was a blessing or a curse... What I am sure of though, is that this was the first suhol in our marriage.
We had our long weekend all figured out...
I have a blogger event to attend. Wait a few hours for hubby, have dinner with him, and then meet up with friends.
April 7 to 9 Drive off to La union with our college friends and go back home on Monday
Seemed pretty laid out, right? WRONG. Things did not go smoothly as planned.
Expectations versus Reality:
Beforehand, I already told my husband my plans: 1. Go to SM Megamall and drop off my luggage for our trip which weighed about 5 kilograms (or probably more) 2. Go to my blogger event. 3. Go back to SM Megamall and do a little shopping for things we needed to bring. 4. Wait for him, have dinner, and then meet up with our friends.
He insisted that I spend this gift certificate that we had while I wait for him, and so I thought okay -- since I'm looking for a new planner, maybe I should shop for one. Oh, we also needed a few things for the trip, so I figured sure, this would be the perfect time to shop. I felt like I was hitting two birds with one stone... being able to buy what we needed while wasting time waiting for him.
I started shopping at 5 p.m.
I bought some pants, some sunblocks, slippers... I was basically running out of things that I needed and wanted to buy and I'm not very familiar with the shop locations, so I was like a kid going back and forth between the whole Megamall A, B, C, the fashion wing or whatever the other parts were named. It's already 8 p.m., I'm hungry, so I called hubby up.
"Where are you?"
"I'm still in NLEX."
I look at my watch and realize I've been shopping for three hours now. My feet hurts. I'm really hungry and le husband was still hours away. My hunger is starting to cloud my judgement and I'm getting pissed since he said we were going to have dinner at 7 p.m. He said that he'll be a little late and we'd have dinner at 8:30 or 9 p.m.
To reclaim my happy thoughts, I tried to shop for clothes but nothing really interested me. I then tried shopping for makeup. I went to the VICE counter, but they're all sold out. I went to NYX and saw my MLBB shade is on sale for only PHP 249. I then went on to the BLK Cosmetics and I thought okay, this might be the perfect time to try on this brand, so I bought two products.
Time check, it's now 9 p.m., my husband is nowhere in sight and I needed to get my luggage from the baggage counter because they were closing soon. I'm still hungry and I'm carrying this 5 kilogram bag for our La Union trip and I also had paper bags with me. Obviously, dinner is out of the picture and our dinner date was a big "drawing."
It's now 9:45 p.m. and Reg was at Gateway Mall. Our friends decided they would pick me up in Megamall, pick Reggae up in Gateway, and then head to our meet-up point.
10 p.m. still no dinner. I look so haggard. I'm carrying about 7 kilograms of bags. I looked like I just ran away from home. Not a pretty sight!
Alas, we meet up with everybody at around 11 p.m. and we finally have dinner.
Reg tried to pull off another suhol by asking me if I wanted coffee or cake or any dessert but I declined.
Until now, I still can't decide whether that was 5 good hours of shopping or just 5 hours of me being so tired, so hungry, so haggard, and getting so much back ache and body ache from carrying all my 7 kilogram luggage. What do you think?
The so-called dinner date still hasn't happened and I doubt there will be one in the following weeks. Plus, the next time he gives me a GC, I know for sure that he'll be making me wait for six hours or even longer. I think I'd rather stay at home in bed and watch Korean dramas rather than starve myself for six hours again waiting for a no-show date.
Last week while I was shopping, I stumbled upon the BLK Cosmetics counter and saw their newest K-Beauty inspired products. Since we were going to the beach and I really didn't want to wear any makeup at all during our vacation, I decided I'd buy a little lip tint...
I mean I didn't want to wear any makeup, but I also didn't want to look dead too. Lol. I thought adding a bit of a lip and cheek tint to my routine wouldn't hurt.
I'm pretty familiar with Anne Curtis and her love for K-dramas. In fact, I too bought my very first lip tint then because I saw that it was being used in the K-drama I was watching before. They have four shades in the lip and cheek water tint line, and I chose Cherry because it looked the most natural on me.
The doe foot applicator is so small and it's very flexible too.
It also absorbs a lot of product, so dab a little bit at a time.
BLK Cosmetics All Day Lip and Cheek Water Tint Cherry Review
I'm back from a weekend at the beach and I believe my mission of not looking like a zombie with just sun block on was successful thanks to this lip and cheek water tint.
I really didn't have any high expectations for this product as it just looks very similar to other lip and cheek tints I've tried, but the wand that it has is just amazing. It's this doe foot applicator which bends and feels like jelly. It's very, very similar to the wands from the Tanya Burr Lip Glosses. Also, you need to be careful because the applicator is so absorbent that you only need about two to three dabs on your lips or your cheeks to achieve a full flush. The glass bottle is pretty normal-sized too comparing it with other brands and it has a very mild scent which isn't really noticeable at all.
Formula-wise it's very liquidy as the name suggests and you can build up the color to how red you want it to be. But when it comes to longevity and claiming to stay all day... On the cheeks - yes, but on the lips - no. It's just something that I've already accepted because I eat and drink a lot. Any kind of lip product that I put on will just fade throughout the day and I consider lip products to be good if they make it through the 4-hour wear or through a heavy meal. So as for this lip tint, it actually depends on my initial application. When I apply this very light and au naturale, it lasts for about two to three hours. But when I apply this lip tint a bit more boldly, it lasts for about four hours or more with drinks and meals. It has a bit of a taste, not too bitter, but it's not something I enjoy. It feels very light on the lips and not drying at all.
As a cheek tint, this lasts way, way longer than expected. Of course, it depends on how natural or bold you want your blush to be, but it's actually great for oily skin and the flush can last up to eight hours. I also like the fact that application is a bit more relaxed... meaning this isn't something that you need to work quickly with. You know how other lip tints kind of dry immediately after five seconds and it just gives you an uneven finish? I hate those kinds of tints, so I'm very thankful that BLK Cosmetics isn't one of them. I'm starting to get the "Uncomplicated Beauty" tagline right now.
Overall thoughts, I think it's a good quality and fair product. The price point being PHP 249 for 2.15 grams is affordable enough for students and for corporate people like me even though I know I can finish this in less than two or three months. I like the packaging especially the doe foot applicator. I like how the product doesn't dry out my lips and how it just feels light on both the lips and the cheeks. It's just that natural flush that I needed on the beach.
I've already bought a few new products from BLK Cosmetics, and I can say that I'm slowly becoming a fan. Let me know what your favorites are from the brand because I would love to try them!
