Hello there! My design team gals all have the new Sunny Days products in hand now…. which means, lots of fabulous inspiration using the new products coming your way!! We are starting things off with an anniversary scrapbook layout for you today from Ulli and I know you are going to love it! Read on for all the details!!

Hi friends, Ulli here with you today and I’m so excited to share my first layout using the NEW Sunny Days collection on Maggie’s Blog.

The gorgeous Sunny Days collection is so wonderful! The colors and the patterns are just beautiful and I love the summery and beachy look so much! When I got my package with all the wonderful Sunny Days papers and embellishments I was overwhelmed with all these cute icons and products! I hope you are feeling the same and I can’t wait to see what you will create with these paper pretties!

Valentine’s Day is around the corner and today is the 8thAnniversary for my husband and me. YAY! It’s a special day for us and our own Valentine’s Day. So I decided to make a love themed 12×12 layout for using a love letter for him as my journaling. I used a photo from our vacation in Barcelona last September.

For this scrapbook layout I used many circles and flowers along with the colors pink, blue and mustard. I really love this color combination. It’s so fresh and pretty!

First I cut out the big mandala from the “Wander” paper and glued it into the right corner below my white cardstock. I cut the paper on the border and used the other part and glued it on the top of the layout, trimming it along the edge.

Next I fussy cut some of the beautiful flowers from the “Apple Blossom” paper. This is one of my favorite papers from the collection –  I always love the floral papers from Maggie the most! Then I cut out the number 8 from the gold foil and emboossed paper. This speciality paper has a wonderful texture and with its numbers, it is so versatile. I wanted to use the number 8 as part of my title. I used my Big Shot die cut machine and some circle dies to shape my photo and the embossed number into a circle. I also punched a circle from the “Explorer” paper and two circles from a matt vellum paper from my stash.

I layered my round photo with the cute flowers, the vellum circle, the circle with the number 8 and two of the pretty Acetate Shapes from the Sunny Days Ephemera pack. The acetate flower is so gorgeous! I added the photo and the embellishments on the border from the mandala circle on the top. Then I glued the “Look on the sunny side” sticker with 3d glue dots besides the acetate flower and a gold embossed die cut shape above my photo. Dimensional adhesive is perfect to bring more dimension on your projects.

Then I wrote my journaling in a text file on my macbook computer. I typed it also in the shape of a circle and after printing, I cut it out with a circle die and my die cutting machine. I layered this paper also with a vellum circle and another circle from the “Exlorer” paper. I wanted my title to read “8 years You + Me” so I glued the second and third part of my title on my layout. For this I used the Sunlight Glitter Foam Letter Stickers (years) and the “You + me” Sticker from the Sunny Days Sticker Sheet.

I cut out the gold stripe with the numbers from the gold foil and embossed paper. Then I decorated the lower part of my layout with this paper stripe and some of the wonderful apple blossom flower stickers and fussy cut flowers. I stamped the date from our Anniversary with a date roller stamp on the pink little circle.

I used the amazing new Sunny Days Journaling Runners and a mint clear sticker to add some phrases between my picture on the top and the journaling on the bottom of my layout. Then I knotted black bakers twine on the “xoxo” charm and made a bow with it to put under my picture. I splattered gold and black ink across my page. To finish off my layout I added some of the adorable clear stickers, heart stickers and some of the heart puffy stickers from the Sunny Days Glossy Puffy Stickers.

I hope you like my layout inspiration from today and I hope I could inspire you to do a love themed project with the wonderful new Sunny Days collection. Have a wonderful day! See you soon! xo, Ulli

Hi friends! Have you caught the bug for traveler’s notebooks yet? If not, you probably will after today’s post!! Traveler’s notebooks are so fun to scrapbook in! It’s a smaller format for scrapbooking and so easy to complete in a short amount of time! Today design team member, Jessy is showing us a darling page she created in her travel journal. She also gives us some great tips for layering! Read on for all the details!

Hello everyone! I’m here again to share with you what I have created using the beautiful Willow Lane collection. I really love all the different options out there where you  keep memories in different ways according to your schedules. Today, I’m sharing how I documented my memories in my travel notebook. I really love the idea of using travel notebooks for scrapbooking because it is fast, simple and easy to put together for a busy mama like me! It’s pretty straightforward how to create this cute scrapbook page for your traveler’s notebook. I measured the sleeve and with the measurement, I cut the patterned paper as my background. Next, I adhered the photo and kept adding layers as I created around the photo. Layering sure gives a fuller look to your page. I also tried to use a lot of stickers to keep building my layers & bearing in mind that the page won’t look too bulky when being slotted in the pocket sleeve.

By adding the washi tape at the top & bottom, that sure balanced the color of the overall page. I love it!Here are some close-ups to the page:  I love that I can use this travel notebook in such a versatile and fun way! I hope that you’ll try it out & create something interesting with your notebook too. You can also try this out with a journal! Thanks for letting me share today! xoxo Jessy
