Say hello to another Marks and Sparks special, this khaki leopard print jumpsuit! Marks and Spencer are just so excellent at creating great fitting clothes that flatter any body shape – and although that makes me feel pretty middle aged for saying that – they really are one of my favourite shops these days. I may only be 28, but M&S have either got better or I’ve got older, and I’m kinda okay with that both ways!
Clothes can often make you feel good, there is no hiding from that fact. We all know how it feels to buy an outfit that we love, and put it on and strut our stuff feeling proud. Feeling amazing in the clothes you wear each day can be such a mood lifter. It can help in work when it comes to power dressing and dressing for the occasion. It can help you to feel sexy or glamorous on a night out. However, there are things that you can do to ensure that you feel amazing all of the time in the clothes that you wear. Here are some of the tips to consider. Wear the right lingerie Often the clothes that we wear can look so much better on us when it comes to the lingerie we wear underneath. This isn’t about saying you need to look into Spanx or fitted shapewear, but more to do with wearing the right size of bra and fitting. Looking into different options such as sexy lingerie to give you a lift, the right style to suit your figure or considering getting fitted again to ensure that your shape hasn’t changed could transform […]

For some people, you only get a certain amount of holiday time. Often choosing where to go can have different factors affecting your choices. Holidays can be a time for exploring with friends, rekindling romance as a couple or getting in quality time with the family. You can want different things from your time away such as the experience, the time to relax and switch off or to see some pretty amazing places. So it would seem that knowing what you want from your holiday can be a big indicator as to what you need out of it. So how do you make the right choice? A bucket list is a great resource to refer to when making […]
We all want to live in a nice, clean and fresh home. Sure, there are some people out there that are content with absolutely anything, and that’s to be respected, but most of us want to live in as much luxury as possible. Most of us will never get to experience pure, unadulterated luxury in the comfort of our own homes because of the fact that, in the real world, there’s always an obstruction or two! We can make the place much nicer to live in, though. Working on your home is a job that is never finished, so you’re always going to be doing something around the house in order to keep it functioning somehow. That might mean that deviating from your routine of chores and errands could be a little difficult at first. If you want to know how to make your abode a fresher and clearer place to live, then let’s take a look at some simple things you can try. Declutter The first task you can get stuck into is a spot of decluttering. When you have too many things lying around, it can be a slippery slope and you could suddenly end up […]
From the girl who didn’t own one pair of trainers, to the girl who now wears them every day for work. From a trouser suit to a maxi dress, you just cannot go wrong with a fresh pair of kicks and these New Balance black and pink babes go so well with this floral maxi shirt dress. Sure, I wouldn’t wear trainers for a meeting, but I reckon they’re pretty acceptable in the office now – and lets be honest, comfort it key!
When it comes to living healthy, most people focus on diet and exercise alone. The trouble is, as important as those factors are, they aren’t all that you should consider. The environment within which you live plays a big part too. Most people see a home as a safe haven and believe theirs will shield them from the illness and injury you find in the outside world. However, there are many mistakes that you can make with your house, which can turn it into an unhealthy place. With that in mind, here are seven essentials tips to help you create a healthier home for you to live. Clean With Natural Products Cleaning your home doesn’t always make it a healthy place. It all depends on the products that you use, as well as the way you clean. Many cleaning products typically found in homes are chemical-based. The ingredients that they contain are toxic and can cause numerous health problems, including asthma, migraines, and sometimes even cancer. By switching to natural alternatives, you can protect the planet and your body, while cleaning your home just as well. Take Off Your Shoes Even if you believe your home to be […]
This weekend I went to visit my sister in Greenwich, and of course, Sonny boy had to come along to visit his Auntie Poppy, too! I had never been to Greenwich before (and let me tell you it is beautiful!) so Poppy delighted in showing my all the big highlights of this historically rich area of London. Situated on the River Thames, Greenwich a borough in London famous for the Cutty Sark, the National Maritime Museum, Old Royal Naval College and of course, Greenwich Park where we are pictured today! For a stroll around Greenwich Park, we were lucky enough to have beautiful weather (no coats needed in London!) and so I opted for a super casual, relaxed Sunday look as, well, it was Sunday! I went for a pair of Mom Jeans, my usual Women’s Classic Gola trainers (I know, I know, I can’t stop wearing them!) and this proper chilled out sweatshirt from Femme Luxe Finery. And really, it’s slogan says it all: This Is My Day Off Sweatshirt. And it was!
Being able to look after yourself properly is the kind of thing which you should always focus on, and for many of us it is something of a challenge to be able to do this well. Self-care is often a learned thing, rather than something which is innate, even if it feels as though it should probably be innate. If you are keen to try and approach your self-care with a little more attention and love, then there are many things that you might want to focus on in order to make that happen. In this article, we are going to take a look at some of the more important aspects of self-care, so that you might hope to learn how to approach it more readily. As long as you are considering these things, you should find that you can much more easily care for yourself, and so enjoy all of the benefits that come along with that. The Physical Side We begin with the physical side of things not necessarily because they are any more important than anything else, but for the simple fact that most people find that there is something about their body they know they could improve, or would like […]
There’s something special about purchasing a designer perfume – the packaging and brand name are often part of that. Fancy bottles, fancy labels, but also a big fat fancy price tag to go alongside them! For a special occasion gift, they work well, but for your every day spritz-and-go, I find it pretty darn difficult to justify sometimes up to £100 on a 50cl bottle of fragrance. Sure, it’s a treat, but it’s not practical or easy on the wallet. That’s where similar perfumes come in. Similar perfumes are, well, pretty much exactly what they sound like. Inspired by the well-known brands on the international market, they are an affordable way to mix and match your favourite sort of scents without having to save up for a bottle that you’re probably not going to get even halfway through without getting bored and fancying a change. The world’s biggest online store of similar perfumes is Spanish and it’s called DIVAIN. They’re an online store with over fragrances for men, women and even a a new section of eau de cologne for kids. Cute! Every single perfume costs €19,90 (so around £17.64 each) and if you buy two or more perfumes at […]
Midi skirts are definitely having their moment right now, and I am all for it! A flattering length for pretty much every body shape, the midi length helps to elongate the legs by showing just the calves and ankles (which are usually the slimmest part of the legs) and their high waist band helps to skim over any lumps and bumps around the hips. For curvy girls especially, they’re a great wardrobe staple – although admittedly perhaps if you’re wanting to try out a midi skirt as a long term wardrobe investment, a red leopard print midi skirt may not be the wisest choice… But it is fun! And it was a steal at £8 in the New Look sale. Paired with a graphic sweatshirt it makes for a cheeky look. Of course, midi skirts can be dressed up with a pair of heels or down with a pair of your favourite kicks. I feel like the length of them helps to make them look smart even if the rest of your outfit is relatively casual, which is why I am loving wearing mine with my Gola Classics Grandslam Leather Trainers. These are the ultimate smart-casual trainers and I can’t stop […]
