Tombow 56185 Dual Brush Pen Art Markers, Bright

If you’re looking to add some color to your calligraphy these are the way to go. Tombow Dual Brush pens are great to create big bold, and colorful letting. If you have a quality bullet journal they won’t bleed through. They come in an array of colors, and they’re easily blendable.

Zebra Pen Mildliner, Double Ended Highlighter, Broad and Fine Tips

I really like these to highlight areas on bullet journals to stand out. They come in an array of colors and they’re easy to work with.

Tombow 62038 Fudenosuke Brush Pen, 2-Pack. Soft and Hard Tip

These come in black and they’re my favorite marker to bullet journal with. You can create a smaller calligraphy font for smaller text and areas on the page for your bullet journal. This pack comes with one hard tip and one soft tip brush pen. The hard tip is better for smaller fonts and the soft tip is better for fonts that are a little bigger.

Sakura Pigma 30062 Micron Blister Card Ink Pen Set

If you’re looking to create fine lines for doodles, text, or linework this is the best pen set for you. They come in different sizes so you can select the perfect size for you.

Tombow 56621 Dual Brush Pen

If you want big, bold, black lettering this is the way to go. It’s a traditional Tombow Dual Brush pen in black.

Uni-Ball UM 153 Signo Broad Point Gel Pen – White – Pack of 3

I use these white gel pens much more than I expected I would. If I mess up I usually fill it in with a black marker and then I use the white gel pens to start over and make it look as if no mistake was made.

After setting up your bullet journal you’re going to want some pens to fill in all those blank spaces throughout the month. Here are some of the best pens for you to choose from. I like to have an array of colors to it matches that month’s color scheme.

Pilot G2 Retractable Premium Gel Ink Roller Ball Pens-Colored INK

Pilot G2 Retractable Premium Gel Ink Roller Ball Pens-Black INK

Sakura 37904 6-Piece Gelly Roll Assorted Colors Stardust Meteor Pen Set

Pentel EnerGel RTX Retractable Liquid Gel Pen, Medium Line, Metal Tip, Assorted Ink, 8-Pack

Muji Gel Ink Ballpoint Pens 0.38mm 10-colors Set

What pens or markers do you currently use for your bullet journal? I’d love to hear about them, maybe they’ll make the list above.

Every year a new coffee contraption comes out. What do most people do? They research and make their final decision. Here’s my in-depth review of the Keurig K-Cafe. You’ll find the facts, pros, cons, and the final verdict. You’ll also find a few alternatives.

Disclosure: This post may contain affiliate links. This means that at no cost to you I could earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase. These links help keep this site up and running. To learn more about my disclosure policy you can find that information here.

What can you make with the Keurig K-Cafe

You can make traditional coffee (like the classic Keurig), Lattes, and Cappuccinos. You can also create a SHOT of coffee for specialty drinks like hot OR iced lattes and cappuccinos. If you like using a traditional Keurig, and you like specialty drinks then this is the perfect machine for you!

SPECS

-At the time of writing this review, the Keurig K-Cafe is retailing for $199.71

-Comes with a frother that’s safe to use with the following types of milk (skim, soy, or almond).

-You can make four different cup sizes including:

  • SHOTS (2 Oz.)
  • 6 oz.
  • 8 oz.
  • 10 oz.
  • 12 oz.

-Water reservoir holds 60 oz. of water

– Has a SMART START function that allows your water to heat and brew in one process (you don’t have to wait for it to heat before selecting the cup size).

-Turns off automatically 2 hours after the last brew.

-The machine is 15.3″ wide and 12.5″ tall.

-The machine weighs 13.55 pounds.

CUP ACCOMMODATIONS

Accommodations coffee cups/travel mugs that go up to 7.2 inches tall (with drip tray removed) and 6.2 inches tall with drip tray inserted.

How to use the Keurig K-Cafe

When first using your Keurig K-Cafe be sure to wash the frother, and the water reservoir.

Turn on the machine and select your desired setting. You can choose between traditional coffee or cappuccino/latte. If you choose traditional coffee you can choose the oz setting you prefer (6, 8, 10, or 12 oz). If you want your traditional coffee to be strong just select the strong button. If you choose the latte or cappuccino setting it automatically starts brewing once you select that option and push the center start button.

You can froth your milk while the coffee is brewing. Simply fill the milk to either the cappuccino or latte line. If you are frothing cold milk choose cold, and then cappuccino or latte. If it’s warm milk just select cappuccino or latte and it will begin frothing. Be sure to keep the lid on so you don’t make a mess.

Important note: The frothing container is NOT microwave safe. Be sure to warm your milk before putting it in the frother.

FAQ’s

Can I control the temperate? No, if you want to control the temperature on your coffee maker I would recommend the Keurig K-Elite

Can I use hot or cold milk in the frother? Yes, if you are using cold milk be sure to choose cold and then choose latte or cappuccino.

Can I use the espresso roast k-cups? Yes!

Can I put syrup or creamer in the frother? No, if you want to add flavor to your milk do so after it’s been frothed.

How long does it take to make a coffee or specialty drink? It takes 3-5 minutes depending on what you’re making (including water heating time)

How long does it take to froth the milk? It only takes 2-3 minutes to froth the milk ( you can froth the milk while you are making the coffee)

Does the machine have to be turned on to froth the milk? YES, I actually thought I could just froth my milk with the machine being off I even thought it was broken because it wasn’t working.

Does it make actual espresso? No, it makes concentrated coffee.

Can I use reusable coffee pods? YES, plus it’s a great way to save money.

Can I make iced coffees with the Keurig K-Cafe? Yes, you can.

Can I use this Keurig to make teas and hot chocolate? Yes.

What’s the difference between the Keurig K-cafe and the Keurig Rivo? The Rivo uses specialty pods (Lavazza pods) and the K-cafe uses regular K-cups. Note: the Rivo has been discontinued.

Is there a warranty?  Yes, there is a limited one year warranty.

How many colors does the Keurig K-Cafe come in? 2. It comes in black and a silver special edition (the one shown in the photos).

Pros
  • It’s fast
  • Easy cleanup
  • Has lots of options
  • Large water reservoir
  • It’s not too expensive
  • Has a good quality built-in frother.
Cons
  • K-cups can get expensive
  • It’s wide (not the best for small kitchen spaces)

Verdict

Would I recommend the Keurig K-Cafe? Absolutely. It’s great for new coffee drinkers, those who enjoy specialty drinks, and for people who just like traditional coffee.

If you’re interested in purchasing the Keurig K-Cafe you can do that below.

BUY

Alternatives The best alternative at a lower price point is the Keurig K- Elite

I like this alternative because it’s still a Keurig, it’s fast, and it uses K-cups. I like this one because it’s about $50 cheaper, and it has temperature controls. NOTE: This keurig does not come with a frother

The best alternative around the same price point is the Ninja Hot and Cold Brewed System

This one does cost about $20 more than the Keurig K-Cafe. However, it has tons of functions (including a frother) and you can brew a full-size carafe. You can also make specialty drinks.

The best high-end alternative is Gaggia Anima Prestige Automatic Coffee Machine

This is the Rolls-Royce of coffee. It has everything! A frother, a bean to cup feature, a steam wand, and it’s fully programmable. It also has different temperature controls.
What is your favorite coffee maker? I’d love to know what you prefer and why!

Looking back on the days my kids were born I started thinking about all the things I packed! It was A LOT. Some of those items I didn’t even need. I hated having to unpack all the items I brought to the hospital, especially the things I never used during my stay. Here’s my list of things I needed during my stay at the hospital, things I never used, and more. Let’s start with the hospital bag for mom, here’s what I packed and actually used.

Disclosure: This post may contain affiliate links. This means that at no cost to you I could earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase. These links help keep this site up and running. To learn more about my disclosure policy you can find that information here.

Night Gown/Robe

I brought my own gown, yep that’s right. It sounds a little extra, I know. But it was worth it. In fact, I brought 2. The gowns that the hospital provide are SOOO uncomfortable and the fact that your butt in hanging out the back isn’t too appealing. I learned that after having my first baby. If you do plan on bringing your own gown, be sure to pack one that gives you easy access for breastfeeding, and skin to skin contact.

I recommend the Baby Be Mine 3 in 1 Labor/Delivery/Nursing Hospital Gown because it’s easy to get in and out of, breastfeed, and the waistline is comfortable. Another pro, your butt won’t hang out of the back!

Underwear

Don’t bring your sexy underwear. Bring the granny panties and you won’t regret it. You don’t want anything tight around your waist after having the baby.

Clothes

When you go home you aren’t going to want to wear jeans. The best thing you can wear is something loose around your waist. You could also consider wearing a comfortable dress. Be sure to pack clothes for at least 3 days. If you end up having a cesarian you’ll be there longer than anticipated.

Shoes/Slippers/Socks

If you have to get up and walk to the bathroom you’ll want some comfortable socks or slippers. The hospital will provide you with socks but if you want to feel more at home bring your own or pack your favorite slippers.

Sanitary Pads

The hospital will give you some of these but if you don’t like theirs you can use your own for backup. Be sure to bring the super absorbent pads, you’re gonna need them.

Laptop/iPad

If you’re in labor for a long time you’re going to want to keep yourself occupied. Bring a laptop OR iPad to get some work done, watch movies, or whatever else you enjoy. If you don’t want to bring that you could also consider bringing a book or listening to an audiobook.

Chargers

The last thing you want to do is pack all of those electronics just to forget the chargers! If you have back up chargers for your devices go ahead and throw them in your hospital bag now.

Documents

Be sure to bring your identification, birth plan, hospital paperwork (if you’re being induced), and any other documents you feel you may need. Better to be safe than sorry.

Toiletries

These are obvious, anytime you leave home for an overnight stay.

Heres a few things to pack in your toiletry bag:

  • Toothbrush/Toothpaste
  • Hairbrush
  • Hair ties/Headband
  • Contacts/Glasses
  • Medicine
  • Deodorant
  • Shampoo/Conditioner
  • Lotion
  • Makeup Remover
  • Wisp Disposable toothbrushes
  • Moisturizer
Blanket

Let’s face it the pillow and blanket provided by the hospital aren’t the most comfortable things in the world. Bring an old blanket or a cheap blanket to keep yourself warm and comfortable, same goes for the pillows.

Nursing Bra

This is pretty much the only bra you’ll need to bring with you. If you don’t plan on breastfeeding consider bringing a comfortable sports bra.

I LOVE this nursing bra (BRAVADO! DESIGNS Women’s Body Silk Seamless Nursing Bra)! It’s so comfortable and easy to use in most situations. An added bonus is that you can use the additional add-on to the bra to make it easy to pump.

Camera

Bring a camera to take pictures of your most memorable moments at the hospital. If you don’t have an actual camera don’t worry, you’re smartphone camera will work just fine! My husband put a GoPro up during the birth. You can’t see any gory footage due to the angle but it was awesome to see the whole thing play out from another perspective.

Unfortunately, at the time, I had my son I didn’t have my camera. Now I use the Sony A7RIII and it’s worth every penny. My only regret is not getting one sooner, I could have taken some killer pictures with this bad boy.

Here’s what I didn’t pack (or use) for my hospital stay. If you think these items may come in handy for your stay, pack them. It’s better to have them and not need them than need them and not have them.
  • Tennis Ball
  • Makeup
  • Personal Towles/Washcloths
  • Jacket
  • Nice Clothes
  • Baby Book
  • Razors
  • Jewelry
Hospital bag for your partner Blanket/Pillow

Most hospitals provide a blanket and pillow to your partner. However in the case that they don’t you want them to feel comfortable, and in most cases, they will feel more comfortable with their own pillows and blankets.

Toiletries

Your partner is going to need most of the same toiletries as you, refer to the toiletries list above to decide what to bring for your partner.

Quarters

My husband was so THANKFUL for these. I was in labor for 25 hours and he was pretty hungry. He felt guilty leaving for too long so in between the contractions and my sleeping after the epidural he would sneak away for a quick snack from the vending machines.

Laptop/iPad

Your partner may have some downtime, to keep them occupied be sure to pack a laptop or iPad. Sometimes labor takes hours, and sometimes it’s so quick you can hardly believe it.

Chargers

Don’t forget those chargers! You don’t want to end up with dead electronic devices during your stay at the hospital.

Shoes/Slippers/Socks

Again, you want your partner to feel comfortable. In addition to the shoes they wore to the hospital they should pack some comfortable socks or slippers.

Clothes

Your partner should also pack 2-3 changes of clothes. The last thing you want is your partner to have to keep leaving for things that could have been packed. You don’t want them to be gone in the instance that something happens. You will also want and need all the help you can get during this time so it’s important that your partner is present.

Baby Hospital Bag Diapers

Most hospitals do provide diapers so this isn’t a necessity. However, it wouldn’t hurt to have a few on hand. If you live hours away from your hospital you may need a diaper for your trip home.

NOTE: Don’t buy too many newborn size diapers. Stock up on size one and up, they grow SOOO fast. My son wore newborn diapers for about 1-2 weeks and then we were moving on to size 1.

Wipes

If you need diapers, you need wipes. They always go hand in hand.

4-5 Changes of Clothes

Babies are messy. They may have a blowout or spit up. When packing baby clothes be sure to consider the weather. Is it likely to snow during that time of the year? If so, be sure to pack appropriately.

Hat

Babies get cold easily. The hospital will give you a baby hat but you may want or need a few to keep on hand.

Blankets

Baby blankets aren’t necessarily a must but they will help. The blankets that the hospital provides are thin and not the softest. Pack one or two for the hospital stay and the ride back home.

Baby Mitts

With my first baby, I didn’t even know what baby mitts were. Luckily, the hospital had some on hand. They prevent the baby from scratching their face. With my son, I packed my own which is a good thing because the hospital didn’t provide them this time.

I like the Organic goumimitts, Scratch Free Baby Mittens because they have a strap on them. Most babies can take off the regular elastic baby mitts.

Carseat

Obviously, this won’t be in your hospital bag but this is the most important item to bring to the hospital. You can’t leave the hospital without a car seat. Make sure it’s properly installed and ready to go. I installed mine around the 34-week mark just in case something happened early. Car seats are one of the most important things to do your research on to make sure you get the best one for you and your family. I chose the Chicco Bravo Travel System because I could easily take out the whole car seat and attach it to the stroller, which is perfect for a sleeping baby. The last thing you want to do is wake them when you don’t have to. I also like the safety ratings and the quality of the stroller.

If you aren’t interested in a travel system car seat/stroller I would recommend the Maxi Cose Pria 85 Max Convertible Car Seat. It has wonderful safety ratings, it’s comfortable, and it has the ClipQuik technology. This makes it easier to get the straps buckled because they’re magnetic and you can safely and quickly buckle your child in with one hand.

What you don’t need to bring:
  • Breastpump
  • Bottles
  • Pacifiers
  • Nose sucker
  • Teethers
  • Toys
  • Formula

When packing your hospital bag be sure to pack in advance. If you feel your baby may come early go ahead and pack when you feel necessary. It’s best to keep your bag in the trunk of your car if you live far from your hospital. If you’re out and about and need to go to the hospital it’s best to have everything ready to go in your car.

If you need to pack more in your hospital bag go ahead and do so in order to have a pleasant and less stressful stay. Remember this day is about you and your family, you don’t want to be stressing about things that don’t matter.

It’s that time of year again! You’re broke, you have crap lying all around your house, and that Christmas tree is still standing in your living… looking not so attractive anymore. Well, it’s time to plan for a NEW YEAR. Yep, this is a post all about New Years Resolutions. Pick one, do them all, whatever you choose… and make 2019 a great year. Theirs a mix of different New Years Resolutions below. Ones to make you feel good, look good, and resolutions just to maintain a less stressful life.

Disclosure: This post may contain affiliate links. This means that at no cost to you I could earn a commission if you click through and make a purchase. These links help keep this site up and running. To learn more about my disclosure policy you can find that information here

  • Stop Hitting the Snooze Button

I do this, every single morning… more than once, I hate admitting that. Truth is that it doesn’t help me or you in the long run. I often feel more groggy after hitting the snooze button.

Make a morning routine. Once your alarm goes off, get up and get ready for the day. Take a few minutes for yourself and prepare yourself for a day full of productivity.

  • Drink More Water

Yep, it’s the same old song and dance. It’s true though, most people don’t drink enough water.

If you’re not drinking enough water your skin starts looking dry, you don’t feel as good, and your hair doesn’t feel healthy.

  • Eliminate 1 Sweet a Week

Reducing your sugar intake is good for not only your teeth but also your overall health. Sugar increases your risk of obesity, diabetes, and increases stress on your body.

  • Take 1 day a month for just YOU.

We could all use a ME day. Taking care of yourself is important, if you don’t you can’t function mentally and take care of others.

Go to the spa, out to lunch with a friend, lay in bed and watch Netflix, get a massage, or whatever else you find enjoyable.

  • Remove one night of fast food each week.

Too much fast food isn’t good for anybody! I get it though, sometimes you’ve had a long day and you just wanna grab something quick. Look up some quick recipes on Pinterest or plan your quick meals ahead.

You can also use a Crock-Pot or Instant Pot to have your meals ready when you get home (or much quicker in an instant pot).

  • Set a bedtime and stick to it.

I’m guilty of this one, I tell myself every day that I’m going to bed early… only to look at the clock and realize that it’s 1 AM.

Getting enough sleep is important for your well being. You need plenty of rest to function properly, think clearly, and hopefully, you’ll get sick less often.

  • Drink water before bed.

Drinking water will help with your hydration for the next day. This is really important for those who don’t drink enough water!

  • Drink water when you wake up.

The same thing goes for when you wake up, start your day off right by hydrating.

  • Limit your time on Social Media

Eh, Social Media. It’s a love, hate relationship. Social Media can lead to depression, anxiety, eye strain, and less time being productive. If you normally spend 2 hours a day on social media, try to cut that time in half.

  • Think positive thoughts

When you think of things in a more positive light you’re going to have a better outlook on life, even the negative things in life. Anytime you find yourself in a negative space be sure to quickly change your mindset and think about the positive side of your situation.

  • Schedule A Checkup

To kick your year off right you should get a checkup. See where you are health-wise and how you can improve your it.

  • Schedule a Teeth Cleaning

Don’t only think about your checkup with your doctor. Schedule a teeth cleaning as well and get some x-rays done. Who knows you may have some cavitites after all those holiday treats.

  • Stop Procrastinating

I’m guilty of this one, and I know a lot of other people are too. My favorites words to say are, “I’ll do it tomorrow”, and then it turns into next week. Instead of putting things off just get it done right away. You’ll feel more accomplished and you’ll have one less thing to get done.

  • Step out of Your Comfort Zone

Stepping out of your comfort zone more often will reduce your anxiety in the long run. It will also encourage you to meet new people and try new things.

  • Find a Side Hustle

Make some money on the side of your full-time job, or your part-time job. We all know being a mom is a full-time job, but if you have a few extra hours in the day find some ways to bring in some extra money for the bills, birthdays, or the holiday season. Here’s my full list of side hustles HERE.

  • Learn Something New

Learning something new is a great way to find new hobbies and possibly even turn what you learn into a new business. A lot of people learn new trades and turn them into something great, for instance, some learn to quilt and sell their items on Etsy. It’s a great way to make money from something you love to do.

  • Get a haircut

Start the year off right with a new do. You’ll feel fresh and ready to start the year off right. You could also consider some highlights or a whole new hair color.

  • Schedule car maintenance if it’s past due.

Everyone should keep up with their car maintenance, vehicles are expensive and the last thing you want to do is have a problem that could have been prevented in the first place.

  • Do a whole house deep cleaning, don’t wait until Spring

A clean home after Christmas will start the year off right. Organize, put away all those Christmas gifts, light a fresh candle, and feel relaxed.

  • Declutter your home

Make your home feel fresh and clean to kick off the year right. Get your laundry done, take down all the Christmas decorations and kick the year off with a fresh and clean home.

  • Volunteer for a good cause

We could all lend a helping hand at some point in our lives. It feels good to give back to the community or to those going through hard times. Look around your community for local listings seeking volunteers or call a local shelter.

  • Double a Payment

If you can afford to try to double a payment once a month on one of your monthly bills. Some good bills to do this with are the ones that incur interest like credit cards, car payments, bank loans, mortgage payments, or anything else you’ve financed.

  • Put Money in your Savings Account

Set a financial goal and stick to it. A good place to start is by putting something as simple as $5 a week into your saving account each month. At the end of the year, you’ll have $260. It doesn’t sound like much but you can add more to it when you come across some extra cash. A good way to save without actually thinking about it is by using the Acorns App. You can find my full review on it HERE.

I know that New Years Resolutions very rarely make a difference, or you fall off track by January 14th. You don’t HAVE to do each and every one of these ideas, it’s just a list of some ideas that could make your life easier, more productive, or more fulfilling. Even if you only choose ONE thing on this list tries to put your all into it!

If you’re reading this post in the middle of the year, it’s never too early or late to make a change. Start today!

Here we go again! If you haven’t read part 1 of Life Hacks for Living a Productive Life you can do that here. Let’s jump right in, here’s the best Life Hacks for Living a Productive Life Part 2! Limit your time on Social Media

I know it’s easy to get caught up on social media, you’re interested in daily events, cat videos, and what other people are doing. If you can’t live without social media at least limit your time on social media. Set up two ten minuite time frames each day to get all of your stalking out of the way. Maybe after you brush you teeth in the morning and after you brush your teeth at night. Just be sure not to spend too much time devoted to social media. *Please note that I’m talking about social media for personal use, not for work or marketing.

If you think you can go without social media, just delete your accounts all together. It’s a great way to focus on your tasks at hand, and live in the moment. Let’s think about how much time we could save in a year without social media

1HR/Day=7HRS/Week

7HRSX52Weeks=364HRS

364HRS/24HRS (1 DAY)=15.16 DAYS

What could you have done with those 15.16 Days besides wasting your time on social media? The sad thing is that most people spend more than one hour a day on social media.

Start a Journal

Begin a journal. You can use a bullet journal to plan your days, notes, things to do, goals, and much more. If you don’t want to go the BUJO way you can always use a simple spiral notebook, or a reguar journal.

Track the things that mattter most to you, write down your thoughts and ideas. Who knows maybe 5 years from now youll pick up that journal and come across a great idea you once had.

Ax Self Doubt

We all have days that involve questioning what our goals are, thats normal. Instead of self loathing take the time to remind yourself of the end game and do something productive. This way, you’re one step closer to accomplishing your goal.

Manage your Time

Time is something you’ll never get back. If you lose money, you can earn that back so it’s important to view our time as our most valueable asset. Would you rather be on social media for 15 days or working towards your goals, spending time with your family, or living life to the fullest?

Get Plenty of Sleep

A tired brain can never work at 100%. Some people may think then can get everything done in a day after spending only 3 hours sleeping. That’s not the case, imagine what they could have done with 8 hours of sleep and a clear head.

I get that not everyone sleeps 8 hours a night, I myself only sleep for about 6 hours a night during the week but it’s imporatant to make sleep a priortiy. I could stay up all night working but I know that if I don’t make myself go to sleep I’ll pay for it later.

Reduce Stress

If you’re constantly stressing you can’t think properly, you’re preoccupied with things that don’t matter at the given moment. Stressing will never sold an issue. 99% of the time stress involves an issue you have no control over, so why think about it?

Make a Schedule

Make a schedule thats easy and realistic for you to stick to. Don’t set yourself up for failure by making an unrealistic schedule. A repetitive schedule that sets you up for success througout the day is the most realistic.

Motivational Videos

If you’re having an off day or you’re just feeling discouraged you can easily search for “Motivational Videos” on YouTube. Here’s a couple of my favorite:

No Excuses

Retrain Your Mind

Being Honest with yourself

Being honest with yourself will set up your success or failure. Shooting for the stars is something everyone should do but you also have to be realistic. You can’t tell yourself that you’re magically going to wake up rich tomorrow without making changes, learning, and taking risks (unless you win the lottery). Being honest with yourself about your strengths, weakness’, and timelines will help you reach your goals.

If you have anything you’d like to add to this list let me know! We can all use some Life Hacks for Productivity!

How many times have you woken up ready to conquer the day? Only to become distracted by the little things in life. Next thing you know you’re lying in bed feeling defeated, you didn’t get anything accomplished. We’ve all been there, so don’t feel down on yourself. Here’s a few hacks to live a more productive life. Set Goals

Yep, cliche I know. You hear about setting goals all the time, but do you actually do it? If not you should definetly start. The best way to do this by setting X goals. Daily goals, weekly goals, monthly goals, yearly goals, and your 5 year goal. Why not just make a yearly or 5 year goal? Well, achieving the small goals along the way will encourage you to keep going and meet your long term goals.

Tip: Set your goals as a background on your phone or computer, this way you’ll always see them and you’ll be more likely to achive them.

Stop Comparing yourself to others

If you’ve seen the girl on the magazine cover and think to yourself, “I wish I could look like that” well maybe you can, and maybe you can’t. Chances are she doesn’t even look like that. Thanks photoshop, for ruining womens confidence since 1990.

Anyways, the best thing you can do is be the best version of yourself. Those people that you often compare yourself to have their own issues, they’ve been in the same position as you and they’ve worked their tails off to get where they are today. This is probably the number one things that wastes the most time. If your a model you’re looking at other peoples bodies, if your blogger you look at other people’s income reports… well instead of doing that you could be making your own success instead of worrying about others.

Eat Better

Eat better? YES, this one isn’t an obvious one but believe me… it helps. If you eat better you’ll find it easier to focus, you’ll feel better, look better, and you’ll be more confident. Plus, you may even end up saving a few bucks.

Bonus tip: make sure you’re drinking plenty of water. The last thing you want to do is eat healthy and ruin it with an XL Coca Cola.

Stop Complaining

If you find yourself complaining to your husband, your mom, and you cat then it’s time to re-evaluate what the real issue is in your life. I’m guilty of this, in fact my husband told me I was complaining all week… and guess what, I didn’t even notice. After I thought about it for awhile, I unfortanetly had to agree with him.

Spend your time doing something more productive and less time complaining about others. Life is far to short to waste time complaining about what other people do.

Listen to audiobooks/podcasts instead of the radio

I’m not saying NEVER listen to the radio. Just replace one of your daily radio sessions with a podcast or an audiobook that teaches you something. Listen on your commute to work or back, on the way for kids pick up or drop off, or while your cleaning your house.

You’ll absorb more information than you think, even if it doesnt seem like it at the moment.

Stop Making Excuses

I’m gonna be honest here, I told myself I couldn’t write my blog post today beacuse I wasn’t feeling good, I had to go to the doctor, and get dinner ready for the family. Well guys, here I am.. at the doctor… bottoms off… writing this blog post from my phone. If you truly want something you’ll find anyway possible to make it happen!

Step out of your comfort zone

You won’t achieve your goals or live your best life without stepping outside your comfort zone from time to time. It took me awhile to feel comfortable posting my life on Instagram (I consider myself a private person) obviously I don’t post EVERYTHING but even the things I do post isn’t in my comfort zone.

I’m also TERRIFIED of heights but I made myself go zip lining. Why? Because when will I ever have a chance to zip line in Hawaii again? I don’t want to live life with regrets, even if that means being a little uncomfortable sometimes.

There you have it! Be sure to check back for Part 2 of Life Hacks to Live a More Productive Life.
