Can’t wait to share more from this amazing Paris wedding! Sunrise at the Trocadero after early morning on the apartment balcony, followed by wedding portraits at the Eiffel Tower and around the Louvre…shooting weddings in Paris always brings us so much joy! More coming soon!
Mellisa + Zac’s Meadowood, Napa wedding was absolutely beautiful! They invited guests to join them for a beautiful weekend of wine tasting, celebrating under the stars and enjoying all the natural surroundings of one of the most exclusive Napa wedding venues, Meadowood. With a soft color palette and a watered silk gown, Mellisa looked absolutely breathtaking and their sweet kiddos looks so dapper + adorable, respectively! We love shooting California weddings + this was such a lovely one! Meadowood, we’ll come back anytime!
In February, we visited Malta for the first time with our dear friends on their babymoon! If you’re asking yourself – Where is Malta? I kind of was with you on that!! Malta is a tiny island country in the Mediterranean, close to Northern Africa and Tunisia, and in between Italy and Greece. Because of its location, it has influences from ALL of those amazing cultures, which made for some delicious restaurants and incredible scenery / architecture! Malta is also ANCIENT. As in, the apostle Paul in the Bible was shipwrecked here and it was already settled and thriving. Cool story – the Bible even mentions how kind the Maltese people were, all those thousands of years ago, and they are still so incredibly kind and welcoming! The capital, Valetta, almost felt like a fake little city nation – remember the nation of Genovia from the movie Princess Diaries? Yep, it was pretty much like that! So incredibly charming, cute and clean. They had banners hung everywhere throughout the city for St. Paul’s Day, a national holiday, and charming music pipes through the loudspeakers in the city. We also visited the island of Gozo, which has some very cool natural formations and sites like the Salt Flats and Blue Pool.
Charleston is a dream destination wedding location! Ava + Frank are New Yorkers with a love of exploration and travel, so a destination wedding to beautiful Charleston was the perfect fit to bring their friends + family to for a long weekend of celebrating! We loved every minute of capturing their stunningly beautiful Lowndes Grove Plantation wedding in Charleston, with a killer team! All Who Wander Events, Days of May Floral, Bella Figura and more brought this sweet couple’s vision to life beautifully! In spite of a rogue thunderstorm rolling through + blowing over the reception setup, the team worked lightning fast to switch the cocktail hour and ceremony times around to still keep the ceremony outdoors! I loved their white + emerald color palette that perfectly reflected the beautiful Spanish moss and all-white venue at Lowndes Grove! Guests were treated to vintage VW buses bringing them to the ceremony, with cocktails and beautiful details awaiting them! Guests danced the night away under the clear-top tent with twinkling lights, late night snacks and killer live music. Enjoy a peek into this stunning Lowndes Grove Plantation wedding in Charleston!
Jamie + Jared held a beautiful summer soiree wedding at the loveliest estate on the Delaware River, Glen Foerd Estate this past June! With a dream team of vendors including Oleander Curated on design, floral + rentals, Stephanie B. Design on paper goods, True Beauty Marks on hair + makeup, and more, their wedding day was absolutely flawless and one of the prettiest weddings of the summer. I can’t get over the one photo of Jared seeing his beautiful bride in the rose gardens during their first look – it’s one of my favorite groom shots EVER! I loved their live jazz band during cocktail hour as guests mingled on the lawn by the river, before being escorted to the dreamy white-draped tent elevated by gorgeous Oleander blooms and decor. Special thanks to Lauren Fair associate Stacy for shooting this one with me (Lauren!)
It’s always the biggest honor when a fellow wedding photographer asks us to photograph their own wedding day, and today’s sweet bride happens to be a crazy talented one! Sidney and Lucas are the sweetest couple with impeccable style. Their wedding day happened to be a little bit crazy to start – after months and months of careful planning and dreaming, and a beautiful outdoor reception site built by her father on their family farm, the day dawned with rain clouds and flooding that turned the site into a small river. With just hours of notice, the entire team moved the wedding reception to the family’s beautiful indoor wedding venue, the Granary, and the end result was purely flawless! My jaw actually dropped seeing what the team was able to pull off in just a few short hours of moving every single element of the wedding day so quickly! After an emotional ceremony outdoors where the sun even peeked out for a moment, guests enjoyed cocktails and delicious food while we spirited away Sidney + Lucas to the hilltops for a few moments together alone. The reception was lit with the glow of hundreds of candles, draped in French blue linens, greenery, French calligraphy scroll place cards, a champagne cart, a live band and good Southern food. You can catch their day published on Style Me Pretty here as well! Sidney + Lucas, thank you for the honor of capturing your absolutely beautiful wedding day! We love you guys and are so thankful for your trust and faith in us!
Leah + Herman hosted a gorgeous wedding in Napa, California this spring, and we were blessed to capture all the beauty! I just love how film captured the beautiful California light and the gorgeous olive groves for portraits. We loved working with a stellar team on this one, with Tickled Events and Gavita Floral bringing the vision to life at Long Meadow Ranch in Napa! Although there was a rare evening in California that had rain, the beautiful white tent kept the guests dry and warm and still brought in tons of natural light! We loved how playful and genuine Leah + Herman’s interactions were, and they were a dream to photograph! I also love this beautiful color palette of soft grays, olives and creams! Here’s a few of our favorites from this beautiful Napa Valley wedding! Coming soon to BRIDES Magazine.
Leanne + Bobby’s beautiful, elegant wedding was a showstopper! Not to mention, their ringbearers were of the fluffy variety, and aren’t they the cutest you’ve ever seen? We love Leanne’s color palette of soft French blue, dusty greens and creams and the setting at Hotel Du Village complemented their early autumn wedding day. Enjoy their photos, captured by Alex + the Lauren Fair Photography associate team!
Rachael + Mark’s Vail, Colorado wedding was full of beautiful views, a stylish bridal party, an epic dance party and truly one of the most epic ceremony spots in all of Colorado. We adored working with the talented team of Bello & Blue Events, Elysium Films and the staff at Hotel Talisa Vail. The Vail Wedding Deck is a beautiful spot for a ceremony in Vail, and even though a crazy hail / wind storm blew through right after the ceremony, the weather was absolutely perfect for their mountaintop ceremony! I loved their all-white color palette, that allowed the beautiful colors of the mountains and pines to shine through as the natural backdrop.
Lindsay + Ryan’s Arizona wedding was a complete dream! Scottsdale, Arizona might be our new favorite place to photograph weddings – the desert light and temps in November were unreal perfect! I love Lindsay dearly – she was my first friend in college and I couldn’t be happier that she met an amazing guy like Ryan. His three boys adore her so much and it was so inspiring to watch the loving way their family interacts together. It was such an honor to capture this sweet day for our friends and we already can’t wait to come back to Arizona!
