4.7.19

Hi everyone. This weather hasn’t let up and has caused a few changes to our Program.

The Dark Skies night with the Brisbane Astronomical Society has been cancelled as complete cloud cover is expected on the night. They’ll be back again next year.

The Raw Fleece Expo has has to move venues at the Maleny Showgrounds due to the ovals being so wet, they can’t be used at the moment. The Fleece judging will now be held at the Exhibition Pavillion (next to the Community Gym) which is located under the Main Pavillion, directly opposite the Park’n’Ride.

The Alpaca judging is now located at the Apex Bar opposite the Crochet Club in the showgrounds. We’re sorry for any inconvenience.

We are an all weather event, the rest of Knitfest will go ahead as planned.

Have a happy Knitfest!

Knitfest would like to send a big thank you to our major sponsors, the Economic Development Dept at Sunshine Coast Council and Visit Sunshine Coast for their support. They have a lot of great people who have really got behind the event over the past few years. We’d especially like to thank Councillor Jenny McKay, Peter Egan and Emily Roberts from Economic Development and Krystel Stevenson from Visit Sunshine Coast who have all worked closely with us this year. Without their support, this event would not have happened.
