There's no denying that, when it comes to travel, Instagram is the king of all platforms. The image driven nature of the site is perfect for showcasing those gorgeous destination shots, from jaw-dropping scenery, to flat lays of beach bags and swimsuits, and even the obligatory hot dog legs by the pool. But have you ever tapped into the feed of an influencer or even someone you know and wondered just how they got that perfect shot? What do they do? How do they find those gorgeous locations? It turns out the key to having extremely Instagrammable travels is quite simple - it all boils down to the research that you do beforehand. Find your inspiration, plan your sessions and you'll soon have a feed that could be the envy of all of your friends…

Do Your Hashtag Research

First of all, if you're trying to find beautiful locations in a place you're visiting to post on your Instagram feed - Insta itself is often the place to look for inspiration. Make it a part of your initial research. Say that you're planning to visit Malaysia. If you're planning to travel and work and stay in a location for a while, you may be searching online for accommodation, looking for that condo for rent in KL below RM1500 so that you can still have money in the budget to explore further afield as well. You could then look into day trips that you can take from there such as the Batu Caves or Kuala Selangor, where you can spot monkeys roaming around and view the largest firefly colony in the world lighting up the night sky - all amazing, unique things to add to your Instagram feed. You could start by scrolling through the location tag for these specific places and seeing what images other people have taken. Also, take the time to follow any major accounts related to your destination, such as the country's tourist board. If there are pictures that really appeal to you, then check the location information and add it to your must visit list!

Find Local Bloggers

From the location hashtag, if there are any images that look high quality and taken by a blogger or social media influencer, go through to their profile and take a look. It can be a rich source of inspiration for shots, styling and other local locations. Give that influencer a follow and check their posts for recommendations on where to eat and what to pack to suit the local climate and culture. In a lot of cases you can go and click on the accounts of restaurants and hotels that they've visited, and that's when you can begin to get really granular about the one table with an amazing view that you'd like to dine at, or the hotel room with the most amazing bath or funky wallpaper that would make an incredible background for a picture or two.

Don't Forget About Pinterest

When planning your ideal Instagrammable trip, believe it or not, Insta isn't the only place to make it happen - Pinterest is an amazing platform for planning travel. You can find really insightful, easy to follow pictorials on every subject from planning your holiday capsule wardrobe to travelling light and even makeup looks and hairstyles you might want to try out in your new location. It's also a great source for travel itineraries for your destination and cool and unusual things to do - as well as being another great tool to help you identify that perfect location for a great shot. Just search for something like 'Paris most instagrammable' and you'll usually be overwhelmed by choice. This can also serve as another channel to find local influencers and loop back to their Instagram accounts for more tips on beautiful locations and hot venues.

Take Your Best Horizontal Shot

Once you've done all your research, you should have a location list of places where you know you'll get those incredible shots. Use a tool like OneNote to add this list to your phone so that you can take it with you. When you're visiting that place, consider your positioning in the location. Take a moment to soak in the atmosphere and see what unique angles or perspectives you can get of the scene around you. Take a wider, horizontal shot and you'll capture the best of a beautiful view. To take the best shots, consider the rule of thirds in your photos - some phone cameras offer a mode with a grid over the viewfinder so that you can balance your shot easier. Break down your shot into three equal sections to make a balanced picture. Try positioning your subject to the extreme right or left of the frame to make an interesting picture. Find your flow and just shoot - there is a lot you can do with picture editing apps after shooting to correct colour balance, edit the framing and zoom in that can make a so-so shot something special.

Think About Focus And Lighting

Although editing can do a lot after the fact to enhance your images and really make them pop, there's not much it can do to effectively alter focus and very poor lighting. If your picture is extremely dim or very pixelated, it's not going to look great despite sharpening or lightening in the edit. Learn a few tricks before your trip such as altering the depth of field to enhance the exposure, which will create a brighter, more focused image. Play around with the focus on your camera so that you can create images with a sharply focused subject and slightly blurred out background for a really professional look.

Get A Lightweight Travel Photography Kit

You may be choosing to travel with a DSLR, or you may realise that a lot of the latest phone models have incredible capabilities and just go with that, but it's always worth packing a couple of extra accessories - a lightweight collapsible tripod and a Bluetooth remote. These are small enough to be packed even in hand luggage, but can really make a difference to the shots you are able to take and the final quality. If you're travelling alone, they are also essential if you want to be able to take pictures of yourself without the awkwardness of having to ask a stranger to help. Smartphone camera accessories can make all the difference in terms of what you are able to capture.
Happy snapping and happy travels!

Bra : Rebook via Fashion World / Trousers: NA-KD / Bag : GUESS

Hello everyone! I hope spring is treating you great so far. I have been enjoying the warm weather since the beginning of March and even though I am still looking forward to unpack my favorite summer weather pieces I couldn't be more satisfied with the temperature.

As you may be aware over the last year and a half I tend to invest more in athleticwear than any other style and frankly I couldn't be more happy with my decision . As much as I love wearing a sports bra , my favorite pair of dad sneakers of my trusted oversized sweater I most often lean" toward Athleisure.

There are a lot of different ways to achive the famous athletic-chic style , mine is usually based on my favorite sprots bras. I always try to build my outit around my bralettes since they do have the most eye catching patterns and colors (like the one shown above). Another fun fact? Since the top part is fitted and naturaly shows off your figure you can easily play around with more buggy-comfy tousers and shorts and still look on point. Here are some other favorite ways of styling.

How to Style The Athleisure Trend :

1 Sports Bra + tailored trousers + blazer + mini backpack + loafer shoes - platform sneakers

If you told me five- six years ago that comfort would be such an important factor for choosing my every day looks I most definiltey wouldn't believe you. Truth is my personal style has changed a lot. I used to be a sucker for fitted dresses and high heels and now here I am , constantly brainstorming for new creative ideas to wear my high waisted jeans . So yes, I happily traded my glam tulle skirts for pairs of quality denim and never looked back ever since .

We all have our most trusted jeans, weather it's comfy skinnies that perfectly compliments your curves or your old, overworn mum jeans. Reality is that a classic pair of denim will never go out of style no matter the current , seasonal trends. With the right styling and accessories pieces like these can feel like a new addition to your wordrobe each day of the week.

Whenever you feel the need to upgrade a basic, super casual outfit layering will always be your best friend. My trusted white shirts and cropped chunky sweaters are the holy grails of my wardrobe during the cold winter months. Yes, having a variety of knits to choose from is definitely a plus but you can always tranform your old trusted ones with a few simple tricks like sewing pearls.

If you follow me for a while you probably already know my favorite style of jeans but for those who are new skinny high waisted jeans are my number one choice. Apart from the safest options, these classic blue jeans , I also really enjoy wearing statement pieces like sateen red (on sale for $20) and of course total white jeans (yes even in winter).

Is it me or everyone love mens hoodies way more? An oversized hoodie paired up with your favorite denim can be a great way to keep yourself warm while looking effortlessly chic. You definiltly spotted me wearing this exact Vans classic gray hoodie more than once on my instagram stories. Well, it's my current obsession along with my faux leather loafers.

Are you a succer for lingerie streetwear? I wasn't till recently but now I can't have enough especially with spring being only a month away. I wore this particular outfit with a white oversized knitted jacket and again, a white pair of Dr Martens .

Last but not least apart from careful styling and trends fashion is also a way to have fun! Play around with different styles and try new combinations. I still can't believe how much I love wearing classic, officewear with casual pieses. You don't see a pair of high waisted distressed jeans styled with hiking  boots, white leather accessories and military color jackets that often right? Well maybe it should.

I have been a content creator for more than 4 years . I was a proud instagram member before the algorithm disaster and a facebook user before the drop of popularity that became apparent almost two years ago. As I am writting these lines I can't shake off the idea of how easy my online "life" would be if certain apps and features were available when I started blogging . Back then (it seems like ages ago) excessive editing wasn't the case. Yes, most of us were retouching our photos to get the best results but the means to do it were limited to photoshop and occasionally lightroom. Nowdays there is literally an application for everything and even though excessive editing is something I personally don't like that much having the opportunity to fix a few flaws in your photos with one tap surely comes in handy. With no further ado, here are the apps that make my job as a content creator a lot easier.

Best photo editing apps :

1. VSCO I am sure most of you are familiar with this app since it's probably one of the most popular ones for all types of instagrammers. Vsco has a variety of free and paid filters that come very handy if you wish to edit snaps from your phone quick and easy. You can also change the saturation, tint, brightness, contrast of an image with a few taps and save it in your VSCO gallery for later use.

2. SNAPSEED This is the app I personally choose to use more often. You can consider it as the updated version of VSCO where more complicated edits can be applied to your image. Apart from the various filters you can adjust more than 20 elements in your photo like the composition,  white balance, perspective and you can even clear up flaws on your skin and backgroun with the "healing" tool. If you aren't familiar with photoshop this app will definitely help you a lot.

3. AFTERLIGHT Not as complex or advanced as snapseed afterlight is the app to use if you want to recreate the popular"dusty" effect most instagrammers use these days. I personally use this app for the lighting and flare affects that you most probably have noticed on my instagram feed over the last few months.

4. MAKEUPPLUS The name of this app is very explanatory. You can use this app to fix flaws on your makeup or "put on" a few face of makeup. There are more than 20 lipstic and makeup colors, contouring tecniques and eyelashes to apply to your selfies . You can even change the color of your hair, apply contact lenses and change the shape of your eyelids .

5. PLOTAVERSE Explaining what this app can do is a little hard but definitely more fun and exciting than the rest of the apps I mentioned above. Plotaverse is the app to create motion art loops. With a little bit of practise you will be able to create "moving images" in which certain elements will be still and others (like the clouds, sky , smoke , cars will be moving). Here is an example for better undestanding.

6. PREVIEW This might not be an editing app but it will definitely save you time and help you be more organized. Preview will help you create the perfect instagram layout. With an interface exactly the same as Instagram you can upload your photos, drag and drop them to rearange and decide which color cheme fits best with your preexisting content. You will also be able to find the best instagram hashtags for your content inside the app, put them in a group and save them for later use.

Do you have a favorite editing app?

Snuggled up in an oversized coat , that's the perfect description of my winter style this year. We are literally a breath away from Christmas and along with the fairy lights and festive mood came my need to wear red pretty much every day. It started with a discrete red lipstick and things escalated pretty quickly after that. As I promised earlier I intend to post way more often on kmeetsstyle.com. I have to admit that I neglacted it due to instagram and my other social media channels. This is my 4rd post this month and it's definitely focused on one of my comfiest outfits for winter.

5 cozy-comfy plaid coats

JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content.

Let's all take a second to appreciate how comfy and Christmassy my red plaid coat looks. Apart from being a huge trend right now it's a piece that never really goes out of fashion. This particular design is sold out but you can find my top favorite choices ( all under $200 ) bellow. It's a very casual, everyday piece so leather trousers , jeans and oversized sweaters are definitely my first choices when it comes to styling.

Favorite leather boots for winter

JavaScript is currently disabled in this browser. Reactivate it to view this content.

I found myself desperate to find the perfect pair of leather boots last month. The temperature dropped significantly and as much as I love wearing my white sneakers the weather had different plans. I am wearing the NewChic leather lace up boots ( for only $20 ) non stop for 4 days straight and of course the leather on leather combination was the first thing that came to my mind  .

What is your favorite go-to winter outfit?

I am not the one to often talk about haircare and beauty but this is probably the most aksed question on my social media: "How did you manage to grow your hair so quickly?" . You might not remember but in 2016 I cut my hair short ( neck length to be precise ). There wasn't a particular reason other than the fact that I really grew tired of having long hair. The constant styling, straightening and of cousre frizzing became too much to handle on a daily basis.

I really loved my short hair to be honest but as time was passing by I decided to let them grow longer once again and maybe test how fast my hair can grow during a year. It's 2018 and I have to admit that that I surely didn't expect that much growth . Slip ends is something I will always have no matter how short or long my hair is. As  mentioned above I might got rid of more than 25 cm of hair but on the second day split ends appeared once again. Now that we are all familiar with my hair story let's dive right into the details:

1. I completely stopped using the blow dryer

Even though I was sure from the begining that I wouldn't be able to stay away from my hair straightener , the blow dryer was way easier to get rid of. From day one I started to let my hair dry completly on their own without any hitting tools. Yes, it might takes a little longer but the results definitely overcome the hustle.

2. I started to apply olive oil 2 hours before washing my hair

Pinterest came in to save the day once again. I dicovered the properties of olive oil and since then I religiously use it before every hair wash. It is definitely needs time to rinse off the oil from your hair but it is the best natural hair mask I have ever tried.

3. I do the "hot oil treatment" and spray castor oil .

After every wash and as soon as my hair is dry I spray a mix of castor oil and hot water on my hair avoiding the roots. There are a few great products available online but I always prefer to DIY it at home.
Once a week I mix my favorite oils (castor, cocunut and jojoba oils) in a small jar then deep it in a bowl of hot water for a few minutes and then apply it on my hair. I wrap a hot towel around my hair and wait for 30 mins before washing it off.

Watch the Before and After of my hair .

4. I use Honey and olive oil as a hair mask

Twice a month I mix organic honey with olive oil in a bowl, I microwave it for a few seconds and then apply it on my hair for 30 mins before washing it off . It does take extra time since honey is very sticky but it definily leaves my hair silky and smooth.

5. I never sleep with my hair down and always use a silk pillowcase.

I always sleep with my hair up on a loose pony tail or a braid to prevent any extra breakage. I started using silk pillowcases almost 2 years ago and since then I never looked back. Cotton tends to absord the moisture of my hair and it took me a while to realise.

6. My new vegan hair growth mask.

Two weeks ago I was introduced to Pump haircare and their great variety of proffesional , cruelty free haircare products. This particular mask with Organic Jamaican Black castor oil, Aloe Vera Leaf Extract ,Argan, Lavender, Jojoba Oil to name a few of the ingredients , is a wonderful add to my natural haircare routine. I use it once a week as a conditioner but you can also leave it overnight and wash it off in the morning for an intentense treatment. I encourage you to read all the honest reviews of this brand on Trustpilot , Beauty Heaven and any other online review sites.

We are currenly almost at the heart of December . Part of me wants to stay at home, wrapped in the coziest blanket while drinking a cup of hot cocoa but another side of me wants to go out and explore. Whatever the case may be one thing is for certain. I will always have my favorite knits with me. Maybe it's hard to understand it at fist but I included two almost identical looks in this post ,one from the day we arrived and one from the day of the departure. As you probably noticed the key elements did stayed the same (yes, I was feeling too comfy to change this up) .

Hello everyone! I really hope Decemeber is treating you great so far. My Christmas tree is proudly siting at the corner of my living roof since Nov 29 marking the beging of this season. Along with all the beautiful decorations came the excitement and stress of picking the perfect gift for my family and friends. With no further ado here is my fist Christmas gift guide for this season and it's all about comfy, cozy nights at home.

My personal favorites

One cannot say the word "cozy" without thinking of soft furry goods like this Lord & Taylot rug (available in 4 different colors). I bought my 3rd faux fur rug this year for under $30 and it's now laying in front of my Christmas tree along with a matching pillow.

We all have that one (or more) friends that always prefer to stay home wathing her favorite series on Netflix during a cold winter night wrapped up in a blanket. This faux throw blanket  will definitely be a great addition to her collection ( and yes, it's only $30 ).

What is the one thing that all homebodies love? A fresh smelling house! I found this Antica Home Ambiance perfume with orange blossom, lilac and jasmine on Nordstrom available in two sizes and of course, for under $100 .

This new layout will help you shop your favorites quicker & easier. Simply tap on the cross icon on the image bellow and you will get redirected to the each product's page.

No longer is fashion solely the domain of stick-thin models. Full-sized models are
beginning to have a growing presence on runways, fashion shows and in magazines.
The following 5 plus-sized models are making their mark on the fashion industry.

1. Marquita Pring

New Yorker Marquita Pring began modelling at fifteen. Known for her full-figured,
womanly silhouette and enviable tresses, Pring garnered attention when she appeared
in the V Magazine editorial 'Curves Ahead' in 2010. Since signing with IMG, she's
became part of a curvy group of models called the Alda Women. When Pring appeared
in Paris, France in 2011 modelling Jean Paul Gaultier's spring collection, her fame
skyrocketed.

A Vogue Italia shoot by Steven Meisel changed Marquita Pring's career arc. She's since
spent two consecutive seasons modelling in Levi Strauss & Company's print and
television ads, modelling for Macy's, Bloomingdale, Lane Bryant, Dressbarn, Talbots
and Evans UK and has appeared in Glamour, Cosmopolitan and Vogue.com. An avid
athlete, Pring runs track, plays field hockey and enjoys figure skating.

2. Denise Bidot

Miami, Florida native Denise Bidot switched from acting to modelling at age 18 when
she was told she needed to lose weight to be an actor. She's gone on to model in
campaigns for Forever 21, Lilly Pulitzer and Lane Bryant and designers Chromat and
Serena Williams. In 2016, Denise Bidot launched a website titled 'There Is No Wrong
Way To be A Woman' . Her goal is to raise her daughter in a world where there's not just
one definition of beauty.

In an essay in Refinery29, Bidot said she feels a responsibility to teach her daughter
and other young women they're beautiful and can achieve whatever they work towards
regardless of their size. Bidot wants to instill confidence in young women about their
beauty.

3. Philomena Kwao

Being different is part of Philomena Kwao's brand. Flashing her signature cropped
hairstyle, this London, England native has been featured in fashion campaigns for
Nordstrom, Evans, Lane Bryant and Torrid. Kwao has an undergrad degree in
Economics as well as a Masters in International Health Management and wanted to
work with a global health agency. Those dreams were put on hold when she was
discovered through a modelling competition held by Cosmopolitan UK Magazine, Evans
and Models1.

Since beginning her modelling career in 2012, Kwao was featured in Essence
Magazine, Pride magazine, Cosmopolitan UK and in nationwide campaigns for Style
369 and Evans. Philomena Kwao also won the 2012 GUBA Rising Star award. In 2013,
she signed with Ford Models, moved to New York and has become well-known on the
international fashion scene.

4. Paloma Elsesser

A 24-year-old rising star, Paloma Elsesser began her modeling career after moving to
Los Angeles to earn her degree in psychology and English. When Pat McGrath, the
world-renowned makeup artist, discovered Elsesser on Instagram, she took a break
from school. Paloma Elsesser has since modeled for designer Eckhaus Latta, Rihanna's
Puma Fenty line and her recently launched Fenty Beauty cosmetics company. Elsesser
has also modelled for Glossier, a popular beauty brand among millennials.

Paloma Elsesser sees diversity with plus-sized models and models of color about to
make a major breakthrough because of the visibility and demand social media has
created.

5. Ashley Graham

Ashley Graham was the first plus-sized model to work with Michael Kors and Christian
Siriano and be featured on the covers of Sports Illustrated and Vogue. Born in Lincoln,
Nebraska, the supermodel and body positivity activist burst onto the fashion scene in
2000. Ashley Graham has been on the cover of Glamour, Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Elle
and other top fashion magazines. She's also been in several Addition Elle plus-size lingerie campaigns
and spoken widely about body positivity.

Diagnosed with dyslexia and ADD growing up, Ashley Graham became a model after
being discovered in Omaha, Nebraska's Oak View Mall. She has appeared in YM
magazine, Vogue and a Glamour editorial in 2009 entitled 'These Bodies are Beautiful
at Every Size'. Graham has modeled for Lane Bryant, Marina Rinaldi, Elomi lingerie,
Bloomingdale's, Hanes, Nordstrom, Evans, Liz Claiborne Macy's, Target and Simply Be.
In 2012 Ashley Graham was named Model of the Year by Full Figured Fashion Week.
She's gone on to become an international superstar.
