Hello everyone! I hope that you are having a great week. I have been playing with some art foam, and I came up with some                         different ways of creating flowers using one die. These three flowers were created using only two petals. But by making one alteration, three different flowers were created. The above flower uses the largest petal from the die, die cut three times. It was shaped by scrunching the tops and                              embellished by using stamens in the centre. The final two flowers use the smaller petal from the die. Their construction is the same except for the shaping of the petals.                    Another variation of flower from DIY Flora Gerbera die. Below is a video tutorial explaining how each of these flowers was made.   Once you have created these beautiful flowers, it’s always wonderful to incorporate them into your projects.   ‘Dream Big Tag’ by Cathy McGrath Kaisercraft Products: Gypsy Rose Collection: PP1048 Paper Pad | Flourish Pack- FL628 Woodlands| Art Foam Sheets […]

Perfect for little girls and boys to insert treasures into the frame adding to the dimensional look. The little fox head stamp was coloured using Metallic Gel Pens and a layer of dimensional glaze added as a finishing touch. Stamping directly onto the background below and above a vinyl sentiment cut on my Silhouette machine. The leaves arrange on top of each other using a 3D silicone adhesive to keep the dimension. Hello, lovelies! I hope you’re all having a great day! It’s Donna here with a scrapbook layout using one of the newest collections this month, Gypsy Rose. Here is what I came up with I started with a blank white cardstock, cutting an inch off of two sides. Then I mixed brown and pink watercolors and splattered some on the cardstock. If you flick the brush a bit closer to the surface, it will create small splatters. So if you flick the brush farther, it will create bigger splatters. I let the watercolor splatters stay for a while, letting it seep through the cardstock, before using a piece of plastic to spread and flatten the splatters. I also used a piece of tissue to get some of the water so the colors won’t be too bright. I just want a hint of watercolor on the background. After this has dried, I mounted the cardstock on a patterned paper. I used this beautiful Decorative Die, Crochet Doilie, to cut a bronze glitter cardstock. I started off with this to decorate/embellish the layout. Mounting it with a foam tape, I placed it like so and then added an array of embellishments below it […]

Welcome to today’s blog post. Are you loving the new ranges this month as much as we do? Today I am sharing a fun layout with you using the Hide and Seek range… perfect for those little people in our lives. Apart from the cute little critters I am simply in love with the beautiful color palette of this range. I really wanted to include some of the beautiful feathers from the range into my layout, but the stamp set was a bit small. So I used a feather image from the internet (free) and printed it onto vellum in grey ink on my inkjet printer. Immediately as it came out the printer and while the ink is still wet I add white embossing powder and heat it with my hat gun for  a beautifully embossed feather. Elements from my collectables pack create a beautiful cluster combined with stamping in navy blue. Extra cut out animals line the bottom edge of the background keeping the bear company. I used foam tape to raise some of the cut out elements and leaves for dimension. Tucked underneath the cluster of leaves is some thread. Until next time – have fun with this […]
