Farmer turned trainer of national hunt horses. Racehorse trainer Jeremy Scott is based in Somerset and trains a team of 50 horses for National Hunt jump racing. With us every horse is an individual, we always have talented youngsters available for sale. We never run a horse before it is ready, on unsafe ground, unschooled, unfit.
We enjoyed a fantastic weekend poin to point with three winners from four runners.
Our first was Redmond Hall, who was a consistent maiden last season, however has strengthen up since joining us and benefited from a patient ride from his owner, rider Paul Govier. Paul was making his debut ride aged 40, having come up with the idea of riding in the Hunt Members at Cothelstone only 8 weeks ago at Sunday Club. With plenty of support and education from Camilla, Matt and Fiona, Paul has been regularly riding out and building his experienc. This was a first ride, first win for Paul.
Manofmanywords made it double when winning the restricted at Cothelstone, his second win of the season under Bryan Carver for his owner-breeders Mr and Mrs Pengelly.
Tree Sparrow won the intermediate at Larkhill under a good ride by Bryan, after the first past the post lost his weight cloth in the shadow of the line for Johnny Pengelly.
