We're chatting lashes today! I go in spells where I am all for lashes and then will go for months without even thinking of them. Lately though, I've been all about Ardell. These ones specifically have been in constant rotation. I do have a few other styles / varieties to try though, so it only makes sense to give the Ardell Faux Minks some time in the spotlight. So, let's get lashy, shall we?
There are two kinds of lip lovers, the bold and the bashful. Granted, you can totally love both, but when it comes down to it, I think you favour one more than the other. As much as I can get down with a bold hue, it's neutrals and nudes (aka the bashful) that tend to win me over most. Mary Kay is serving up options from both worlds with two variants from their Spring Collection. Want to take a little peek? You know what to do...
Another round of Friday skincare! We're taking a sidestep from Speedy Skincare this week with the new Anew Vitamin C Collection from Avon. I think I've made it abundantly clear that I live for brightening products, so vitamin c is an ingredient near and dear to my skincare loving heart. With an exfoliating and warming mask, lip treatment, and sheet mask, this collection is perfect for boosting your radiant glow. Let's take a closer look, shall we?
Warmer weather is upon us, and you know what that means... Actually, it can mean a few things, I don't know why I would propose such an impossible to answer question. Anyway, it means an insurance of all things warm and glowy. Now, there is nothing wrong with toasty glow, but sometimes playing it cool is necessary. As it turns out, Hard Candy has a pretty great range of cool glow makers for just about every part of your moonlit face.
I like to keep skincare for Fridays. I'm not exactly sure, but it just seems like the perfect way to wrap up the blog week. Lately, I've been sticking to a pretty rigid skincare regimen though. Not so much out of skin necessity (although, my skin does seem to like the consistency) but more as a means to actually finish products. I've been organizing, purging, and de-cluttering just about everything in my life, and getting use out of things I have before jumping into the next product. I know, not exactly how most bloggers approach things. With all that, it means I haven't been getting into much new skincare, although, I do have a decent stash of product I'll slowly be introducing to my face (and blog) as I finish things off. There is one area though that I'm always making progress- sheet masks!
Has anyone else re-discovered their love of lip gloss lately? Gloss was my first beauty love, but I've strayed from it the past few years. Its resurgence has brought me back though, especially with the fact that so many of the new formulas are amazing! Gone are the days of heavy, sticky, generally icky formulas (we've all worn them...) Rodial has dipped a toe in the glossy waters with their Collagen Boost Lip Lacquer range and they are definitely worthy of some space in your makeup bag.
I know cream products have been having their moment lately, but I tend not to get along with them. I mean I should, having drier skin, but so many just don't meet my exacting cream formula needs, you know? With all that said, I apprehensively got to testing the Burt's Bees All Aglow Sticks.
I love a good mask session, or a full-on multi-masking session, but sometimes you just don't have that kind of time. Actually, honest talk here, sometimes you just don't want to expel that much energy either. Sunday Skincare is great, but so is Sunday I'm Lazing About on My Couch Not Moving, you know? For such occasions a sheet mask is always the way to go.
It's a double nail polish kind of week, and you know what? I'm totally into it. OPI Soft Shades are back again for 2019, and feature feminine, soft, neutral hues. While sheers make a decent statement in the collection this year, there are some layering options should you fear the sheer. Ready for a closer look? you know what to do...
When it comes to nail polish, I basically know two kinds- the old, chemical laden formulas, and the newer, slightly-less chemical laden formulas. That pretty much covers your options, right? Not quite. There are also water-based formulas, for actual adults. Apparently, they're not just for the little ones (which is exactly what I used to think.) Suncoat has been changing everything I thought I knew about polish with their non-toxic, chemical-free, water-based formula.
