Once upon a time, there was a girl who tried a really great lightweight moisturizer. It could have been a perfect match for her, but the Evil Queen of the North cursed the girl and the lands she called home (this is where you gasp, it's a shocking plot development.) The once fruitful earth was left a dark, cold land blanked by ice and snow. The girl was left feeling flaky, dry, and in need of more moisture, forcing her to leave the weightless formulas of warmer days behind her, until...
Everyone has 'their' colours. The shades you are always drawn to, no matter how many similar hues may already call your collection home. Taupe is one of those colours for just about everyone. I mean, how can you not submit to the call of a great taupe? There are almost limitless ways to do taupe (more grey, more brown, cool, warm....) so you really can't deny yourself just one, or two, more options, right?

I know, Valentine's is super close, but I've been patiently awaiting a few more of the products du jour (or a l 'amour, if you will.) I'd rather a late gift from the heart than nothing at all, right? Regardless, I've got a selection of some excellent little giftables for a special someone or yourself (aka the other special someone in your life.)
Every Canadian beauty fan is a card carrying Optimum club member (okay, I know they've recently changed the whole system, but you get the gist.) Shoppers Drug Mart is the first place we honed our cosmetic purchasing skills and thanks to the fact that they can be found in even the smallest of towns, a place most of us still visit on the regular. And with good reason, since they carry everything form the big brands to your average drugstore fare, including a few in house options (that can be surprisingly great.) I just happen to have a haul-full of new bits, so read on for the 411.
I don't get a whole lot of opportunities to talk skincare IRL, so I make the most of the times I do. I was immersed in one of those glorious moments not too long ago and was shocked (to my core, even) when a friend mentioned that she 'just didn't get the point of sunscreen year round.' The horrors of such a statement left me feeling a little light headed and that I had failed miserably as a blogger. How could such awful words come of out someone I know?
It seems to be fitting that on a day when everything is a wintry, icy mess, we're going to be chatting up the Mark by Avon Rebel + Ice Bath & Body Collection. A happy accident really, but the little collection has a surprisingly great scent to see you through the seemingly endless cold days ahead.
Most every skincare product makes me happy, but I do love a little mist. Facial spray. Tonic. I don't have any particulars name wise, just let me at it. Once upon a time, mists were rare creatures. They weren't the most popular product, but luckily times have changed and more brands have come around to the misty ways. FrmHouse Fresh is one of those brands, with the launch of their Vitamin Berry Facial Tonic.
Lunar New year (aka Chinese New Year) doesn't officially roll around until February, but Givenchy is treating us to their Lunar New Year Collection bright and early (aka now.) The limited edition goodies bring a dose of added luxe to already some otherwise... okay, they were already pretty luxe, but the special edition packaging is gorgeous.
Happy New Year, blog fans! I know, you've had a bit of time to get accustomed to 2018, but still... I'll admit I had lofty goals of getting this together over my blog-break, but *gasp* that didn't quite happen. The siren call of Black Mirror (so good!) and my reading list made me one lazy (but happy) lady. Anyway, 2017 was a beauty-filled year, so I've rounded up the top 17 posts, as chosen by you (aka via Google Analytics.) Ready? Let's go...
It feels a bit odd typing 2018, but it's a mere days way. Another year over, but just maybe, yours was filled with great skincare? Not to be all 'in your face-y' but mine was, partly thanks to Pearlesque Box.
