A source with knowledge of the Showtime series says Tiffany Boone, who played Mitchell’s girlfriend on The Chi, was among several actresses on the series who had issues with Mitchell. She made repeated complaints of sexual harassment and allegedly felt so unsafe with her co-star that at times her fiance, Dear White People actor Marque Richardson, came to set when she shot scenes with him. Boone declined to comment.
The source also says Boone ultimately informed producers at Fox 21 that she could no longer work with Mitchell. Initially, he was retained while she was released at her request to pursue other projects. Other actresses on the series also were said to have had problems with Mitchell. It’s unclear what finally led the studio to act.
Mitchell had not yet started filming Desperados, a comedy set in Mexico, when he was replaced in recent weeks by Lamorne Morris (New Girl). A source close to the project, which Lionsgate’s Good Universe is producing for Netflix, says the producers received “specific information which was investigated immediately and thoroughly and dealt with as quickly as possible.”
Netflix referred queries to Good Universe, which declined to comment. Sources said all three of Mitchell’s co-stars on the film — Nasim Pedrad, Anna Camp and Robbie Amell — had complaints about Mitchell.
It’s going to be sad to see Jason go from ‘The Chi’ but he really needs to seek some help. As for Tiffany, the producers should’ve taken her allegations more seriously from the beginning.
So, it begins… LOL, really these people on Twitter are insane, because they knew Portland wasn’t going to beat the Warriors. The only team capable of giving the Warriors an interesting series was the Rockets, but they only managed a four seed. That left a major vacuum.
Damian Lillard, back in 2017, said his goal for the Blazers was to win over 50 games and go to the Conference Finals. The vacuum left by the early season struggles of the Rockets went to his Blazers and the surprise Denver Nuggets. Denver would take the two seed.
The Blazers had the experience, holding the three seed for the second straight year, and overcoming the stigma of last year’s sweep. In their way was the Thunder, whom they beat, and then they took out the inexperienced Nuggets to earn the right to get swept. Damian Lillard missing tonight’s game-winner has him the one being clowned on social media, with tweets and memes.
Read the tweets about Damian Lillard’s miss below:
Entering Game 4, everybody predicted a tough game for the Warriors, who are looking to sweep. After playing badly, since the Denver series, most felt Damian Lillard would have a strong comeback game. All of that happened, and Golden State still had a chance to win.
Steph Curry, due to Kevin Durant’s injury, has had to take back over as the leader of the Warriors. Through this series, versus Portland, Curry reminded the world why he is a two-time MVP. In this series, Steph has put up historic numbers.
Tonight, even with the Trail Blazers dominating most of the game, and leading by double digits, the Warriors had the win. Everything wound up coming down to a Steph Curry three. But, Twitter is upset for him, due to his unnecessary travel, because he made the three.
For whatever reason, Meyers Leonard decided he was going to show out in the first half of this game. Well, it’s definitely coming handy as it was a major boost that has kept the Portland Trail Blazers ahead going into the half.
Just so you have some reference of understanding about this, Meyers Leonard scored 25 points in the first half alone. He’s never scored 25 points in a game in his entire career. He also went 5 for 6 from the 3 point line.
