Thanks so much for such beautiful cake it was stunning. Everyone commented on how fabulous it was and how yummy it tasted and the stain glass window was simply beautiful. A beautiful cake for a beautiful baptism
This is the beauty that we designed and created for Sharon and Rob for their wedding at Great Fosters in Surrey.
Sharon wanted a showstopper of a cake.. The cake was very important to her and although she wanted it to be big, she also wanted it to be very delicate and beautiful. Lots of detail, sugar flowers.. Sharon was brave enough to cake for a colour as her base. Whilst we love a white wedding cake, it is so wonderful when brides opt for a colour – as this really makes the piping ‘pop’ out!
This cake featured layers of chocolate, lemon and vanilla sponge and also included a couple of dummy tiers.
Sharon and Rob were an absolute pleasure to work for and we wish them the very best for their future.
It was a pleasure to create this cake for this lovely couples wedding. They wanted a show stopper and although they absolutely loved the sugar flowers we decided on a fresh flower alternative to meet the couples needs.
Fresh flowers are a fantastic substitute if you are looking for something to add that wow factor but still fit within your budget. Our bride and groom fed back to us that we “Helped make there wedding day more special with the most imaginative cake they had ever seen’ and it was certainly our pleasure.
What a week! We received a call on Thursday 18th April from a lovely girl called Christie at Wild Card PR. Christie had been commission by ITV to search for a cake maker who would be able to design and produce a showstopper for Kem Cetinay’s birthday – and to be wheeled out live on air with Hollie and Phil the following Wednesday. OH MY GOD!
Well, look no further Christie is basically what I said. We only do showstopping cakes, and whilst time was a major factor ( just a tiny matter of a 4 day Easter bank holiday in the way), there was, basically, no way were weren’t gonna rise to the challenge.
We recently been very busy working for Billie and Sam Faiers on a number of cakes. Its been an exciting time as we have been featured in OK Magazine a number of times and also recently appeared on The Mummy Diaries.
The first one we did was in January for Billie’s Bridal Shower. This cake comprised of nearly two hundred handcrafted sugar roses. We combined with white petals and a delicate hint of gold and the overall effect was really beautiful.
It was lovely meeting Billie and Sam on the day and of course little Nelly. Nelly is such a character. Very very funny.
We also worked for Billie and Sam a few weeks later when they commissioned us for their mums 50th Birthday cake. I loved this cake! I absolutely love it when we get to design something bespoke and have a free reign on how grand and elaborate the design can be. The theme was The girls were delighted with the final design and we also received such a lovely thank you from the Birthday girl Suzie.
Nicola made our beautiful wedding cake and our daughter’s first birthday cake. Both were exquisitely designed and tasted truly amazing. Nicola is incredibly helpful from the initial consultation to the delivery of the cake. She is a true professional who knows what it takes to create cakes for memory making moments. Thank you Hall of Cakes. Jo x
