Summer is officially here! And school is out! It’s time to pack our bags, and hit the open road! But, let’s be honest. Planning family vacations can be stressful, especially when looking for activities that everyone (kiddos included) will enjoy. All you need is somebody who already thinks and plans ahead for you! Last week, I was happy to be one of the media invited to experience the Fairmont Grand Del Mar Summer Wellness program, and the experience made me feel totally spoiled. All I did was sit back, soak up the sun, relax, and just enjoy myself for three glorious days. I was able to let go of some of my burdens and pressures, and truly escape, and just enjoy the present moment. At the same time, I got a chance to meet some new talented friends and learn some new things. I would like to share the Fairmont Grand Del Mar’s Summer Wellness program with you, too. No matter if you travel solo, with your friends, or together with your family, the whole stay will surely make you HAPPY! SUMMER AT THE GRAND: Be playful. Be together. Be yourself. BE FREE. Summer is finally (officially) here, although June gloom is still with us in L.A. But the temperature is starting to climb up, and it’s time to wear our favorite summer dresses. The dress I am wearing today is only $72. I really love the bow shoulder strap details and the green shade, together with the un-even ruffle hem that makes this dress so special and lovely. Red Bear turned 11 last month, and his craving for all the electronic stuff — video games, YouTube, has also been growing. My husband and I try every way to pull him away from the TV or computer by providing other interesting things to do. During his summer vacation from school, we have scheduled art classes for him, as well as sports programs and a few summer camps. We are also planning a lot of family travel.Last weekend was the start of his summer break, and we took a quick 3-day trip to Bellevue, Washington, not far from Seattle. We had a great time there — the weather was great, and the whole trip was delightful, easy, and joyful for all of us. Why did we choose Bellevue, Washington ? It is described as “Silicon Valley meets Beverly Hills of the Pacific Northwest.” It is the shopping capital of the PNW, with an emerging, award-winning culinary scene, and the city is surrounded by gorgeous nature and three national parks (Mt. Rainier, North Cascades, and Olympic Nationals Parks). It’s also very easy to fly from L.A. to Bellevue. We departed from the Burbank Airport (officially called Bob Hope Airport), about a […]
Thanks to my little blog, I like to write down all our travel journeys, and all the hotels where we stayed during our family vacations over the last 9 years. There are so many good memories so far! And I am so happy to add the Westin Bellevue to our great travel memories. The Westin Bellevue is an AAA Four-Diamond hotel located in the heart of Bellevue, Washington. The hotel has 337 guest rooms, with a 24/7 fitness studio, an indoor heated pool and whirlpool, and the beautiful Cypress Lounge & Wine Bar We had the breakfast buffet there twice during our 3-day stay, and their omelet station is so far beyond the game; I am an omelet lover, and my 2 egg whites with smoky salmon and all kind of veggies was so DELICIOUS! My vegan men (husband and son) also enjoyed feasting on the selection of delicious fruits, juices, and other healthy buffet choices. Nobody left hungry, that’s for sure! What else do we like about the Westin Bellevue? First of all, the hotel is very convenient, it was easy to get around, so many different/style food just steps away, the Macy’s store is just across the street. […]

Happy Friday, Friends! After a few days of family quality time in Bellevue, Washington. I am starting to pack for a mini-trip to San Diego. Come follow alone in my Instagram! Today I am wearing a green romper from ADEAM. I just knew I had to have this wrapped front belted romper as soon as I saw it on the Nordstrom website. (You read it right — it’s a romper, but looks like a pretty dress.) Those puffy sleeves, together with the lightweight, modern linen look, are so perfect for the summer days. I also love that it is machine washable! Outfit Details: ADEAM Dress ADEAM Necklace Pearl Headband Gucci Sunglasses
Outfit Details Marc Jacobs Bow Blouse Zara High Waist Jeans Moyant Bag Manolo Blahnik Suede Shoes(old, similar here) Zara Bow Hair Tie The other day I was chatting with a friend, and she told me that she loves all the yellow trend I’ve been showing lately, but for some reason, she feels yellow seems not to look good on blonde hair people…..hmmmm…..You know, I never really thought about that before. but it’s a good question: how to wear yellow — the “IN” color of this season? I think besides choosing a yellow top, yellow dress, or a yellow jacket, why not try the “pop of yellow” trick? Like my outfit for today, these yellow slingbacks help to make the white beige outfit pop, and bring out the modern chic flavor. Do you think that would work for my blonde friend? See my other yellow accessory picks for this season.

We are flying out of town this weekend, stay tuned and we can’t wait to share more details with you! SHOP THE POST

Outfit Details: Lace Dress(It comes with a black belt, I also LOVE this one) Vintage Chanel Bag Vintage Chanel Tweed Shoes Sunglasses Miu Miu Pearl Headband(sold out, similar here) J.Crew Earrings(from last year, like this new style) Remember last year, when lace dresses were so hot? Actually, not only lace dresses, but I was also crazy about everything else in lace — tops, pencil skirts, or even lace jackets. This season, the lace trend seems have cooled down a little bit. But lace remains such a feminine and romantic piece, I don’t believe it will ever really go out of fashion. Do you still like lace dresses? See My Favorite Lace Dresses This Season
