The virtue of Sofia's intellectual canvas is lushly detailed on a personal storyboard and each duotone of life (humor and trauma), never clash actively, though prevail through a musical perspective. We go through the electronic, the visual and the sonic experiences to make material live eternally to our expanding senses. Sofia is my Greek Holly Herndon pushing the boundaries even more with a personal statement I do love the most:
Instead of Cartesian dualism of spirit vs. matter, my work is dominated by a contemporary physics/ quantum mechanics approach, where matter and thought aren’t defined by their contradiction but are both of the same essence, equally energy (thought is a form of electromagnetic energy) and particles, depending on the moment and on the point of view.
In a game of contradictions and reconciliations, the composition is maintained in a state of a dynamic, tense equilibrium. There is a conscious concern to embody transformation and transubstantiation in the final visual result of each creative process (οr catharsis), rather than a sole exposure of personal experience and observation
Nick van Hofwegen, musician and visual artist known as Young & Sick, has debuted a funky fresh cover of Fleetwood Mac's timeless 1977 classic "Dreams." The track is released alongside a moving visual representing a series of Nick's personal interpretations of the original "Dreams" cover artwork.

An ethereal slow-burner turned stomping disco jam, the rework puts Young & Sick's slick production chops and silk-smooth vocal on full display. The track is the 2nd taste of Nick's forthcoming EP bundle / 7" limited edition vinyl release via B3SCI Records. Pre-order the vinyl now here.
Released last month, "Ojai" was the first song to see a release from Young & Sick's upcoming release and was the debut of a fresh musical chapter, sowing his recent travels through the American South with his European roots. The song itself was written in the small town of Ojai, California, about 1.5hrs outside of LA. Citing the process, Nick notes, "I was staying at a hotel there called The Rancho. I just had a few drinks and I was in the sun, and I just let a very apparent feeling hit myself, hit me. I got to make a song about taking too much on your plate and how that affects you and how you can have, like, a micro-meltdown because you've put too much on yourself."
Viktor Hertz is printing more than 70 signed & limited posters with minimalistic song illustrations in square vinyl album standard size for you! Are you thinking of sending a Xmas present to a music lover?
We just stumbled upon Viktor Hertz a talented graphic designer from Sweden, with a passion for illustrating songs with pictograms.
"What the hell is a pictogram?" He tells us: "These are those universal signs you can see at airports, for example. In 2011, I started making posters for songs, depicting them with these kinds of symbols, as a hobby and a creative challenge. Six years later, I still work on this concept With Every Heartbeat and Eight Days a Week. I have a Hungry Heart for pictograms, basically. I just love making these, and now I'd love to share them with you."
This year, Victor has made more than 50 completely new posters and updated 25 older ones. Taking care of the visual metaphors, details, and colors we feel his creative spirit and want you to show some love on his Kickstarter project.
What's even more fantastic is that you can listen to the Pictogram playlist on Spotify!
