Hello! I'm Chastity, a 30-something plus size blogger from Georgia currently living in California and is obsessed with fashion. GarnerStyle is a plus size fashion blog that discusses about plus size fashion, plus size style, and plus size high fashion.
Walmart has been my one stop shop for my summer sundresses. I just picked up another sundress from the Sofia Jeans by Sophia Vergara line, which is one of my favorite lines there. I paired with a pair of gold heels from their Circus by Sam Edelman line at Walmart. I've mentioned this before, but these are some of the most comfortable heels I've ever purchased. I wear them all the time, and in the gold color, you can pair them with anything. I accessorized with his cute clear bag, which is stadium-friendly. As always, Walmart has great budget-friendly prices without compromising your style.
Style Notes: The dress is super-stretch and can goes to an XXXL. I would guess the largest size can fit up to a 24/26 easily. My make-up look was completed with Flower Beauty, a Walmart exclusive make-up line. I used the Ruby Rouge lipstick on my lips and Flower Shimmer & Shade Eyeshadow Palette in warm neutral on my eyes.
La Fête du Rosé is a picnic-style celebration of all things rosé including wines, champagnes, and lifestyle at located at Piedmont Park. Think the Kentucky Derby style, but pink and white and no horses. So you are telling me I get to wear pink and white, see Mannie Fresh, plus wear a big hat??? You're giving me a garden party, but making sure I keep it real for the 99 and 2000. HA!
This year's lineup will include, as mentioned above, headline performances from the legendary rapper, producer, and DJ, Mannie Fresh and Atlanta local and star of OWN's hit TV show "Ready for Love," DJ Stormy. The event will also feature DJ Jay Envy, DJ Grace Lamour, and live music from The Mad Violinist Ashanti Floyd, and R&B guitarist Xeno Moonflower. Krystal Garner of BET's "The Grand Hustle" will serve as emcee.
In addition, La Fête du Rosé wine and music festival have added Sam Davis as the official chef for all three La Fête du Rosé markets: Atlanta, Nashville, and Washington, D.C. The events will feature several gourmet food options curated by Davis, founder of Savor by Sam. So good eats will be in store.
If you're in Atlanta on June 9th come to check it out. I'll be there. If you see me come and say hello! You can get tickets and all meal, wine, and champagne offerings are now available for pre-purchase online at lafetedurose.com
Oh, it's hot outside, and you know what that means...SUNDRESS season! I picked up this spectacular dress that I know will help get me through the summer at Walmart. I thought what a cute piece that you can dress up or down...and so I did. With the addition of this classic denim jacket from Walmart and a pair of sandals, you have a day time look. This fabulous sundress is a faux wrap and comes with its own fabric belt, but you can also add your own belt as I did here. I dressed this look up with these fantastic Circus by Sam Edelman block heels that I sourced from Walmart as well. On top of being giving my look, the dressed up feel I was looking for. These heels are super comfortable with cushion support in the shoe. That is hard to find in any shoe.
Style Notes: This dress is super stretchy and goes up to a size XXXL. The heels I am wearing go up to a size 11 and are a medium width. I still wear wide width shoes, but can sometimes work a medium width. The denim jacket does have stretch as well.

Summer white is one of my favorite things to wear when it's warm outside. The EV1 collection from Walmart provides the perfect pieces to achieve that expensive white hot look on a budget. My favorite part of these jeans is this stylish Americana update with the stripes down the side. This look is giving the Hamptons feel without spending tons of money. Walmart is great at keeping their prices low so that fashion can be accessible for everyone. Check out these pieces and other pieces from the EV1 collection here.
Style Notes: I picked up the denim in a size 16. They fit great and they do have stretch. The shirt has not stretch and I got it in a XL. Sizing goes up to a 20 or a XXXL. All pieces are from Walmart.

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of attending The 6th Annual Life Styled Honors. The first time I attended this event was in 2017, when I was honored alongside Jasmine Elder; indie designer, Shaina Harrison; digital influencer and a few other equally amazing women. This year, I had the pleasure of returning to Life Styled Honors to present my business bestie, Cece Olisa with her honor. Most of all, got the opportunity to meet a lot of women who love and support Garner Style and theCURVYcon. Oh and, I got to hang out with some of my bloggers boos.
Life Styled Honors is a two day event held in downtown Atlanta. The event is produced by writer and plus size influencer Maui Bigelow of PHAT Girl Fresh. Life Styled Honors is a meld of fashion & empowerment, and is one of the most exciting events of the season, celebrating promising and notable influence in fashion, entertainment and empowerment. Aside from myself, former honorees have included Project Runway model competition winner, Liris Crosse, digital influencer, Essie Golden, and social activist and founder of the Me Too Movement, Tarana Burke.
This year’s event was outstanding from beginning to end. The weekend kicked off at Suite Food Lounge with “Curves En Blanc” the all white VIP Mixer. There were curvy girls, from all walks of life dressed in white enjoyed food and drinks while dancing like no one was watching and they weren’t because they were dancing too. What did I wear? I gave Michelle Phifer vibes in my ASOS jumpsuit and belt from my collection.
Now, I was confident nothing could top Friday night’s party but I was wrong. Saturday’s title event was filled with empowerment, fashion and plenty of laughs, it was an entirely different vibe but definitely a vibe. The Honors recipients included tv star and R&B singer, Nicci Gilbert-Daniels of Brownstone famed, for her influence and philanthropy work around the world; my girl, Cece Olisa, Digital Influencer and The Curvy Con co-founder ; Danielle Young, Writer & Producer; Francie Maupin (Miss Diva Kurves) , Designer/Model ; Jacquelyn Teemer , Local Government Official; Nikki Wiggins (NikkiFree Style, Digital Influencer and Michael Moss (Big Man Culture), Big and Tall Stylist.
Listen sis, I am tired! This weekend I thought I was young, only to discover I am not. However, I can’t wait until next year’s Life Styled Honors. If you attended, did you have a blast like I did? If you didn’t attend, check the hashtags (#LifeStyledHonors and #CurvesEnBlanc) and get your life.
Now let me go because tickets for The Curvy Con are going live soon.
Some of you saw this on the Gram, can you say that I am in love. These jeans come from the collab of Ashley Graham x Marina Rinaldi. I feel in love upon site and had to have them. They are pricey. Marina Rinaldi is one of the few higher-end designers in plus. I can say there aren't a lot of things that I want to shell out over $100 for, but these jeans were a must. When they arrived I was so excited they fit perfect. I would size down because they are super stretchy. My top is from Ofurre. You can find it here. Shoes are from Eloquii but are sold out.
This was my second time attending #MLKSkiWeekend aka Black Ski Weekend. Now if you're not black and you still want to join in on the festivities you are still welcome. I had such a good time the first time, I decided to go again and see if I could get better at snowboarding and have some fun participating in the festivities. The thing I love about #MLKSkiWeekend is that there is so much to do! There is an intense schedule of activities from skiing to comedy shows, to parties and much more. All the activities are easy to keep up with through the MLKSkiWeekend app. The app made it super easy for me to plan what activities I wanted to do.
This weekend is held at the Blue Mountain Ski Resort in Collingsworth (a couple hours outside of Toronto). I love this resort, it's outdoors, there are about a dozen great restaurants to try and places to get ski and cold weather gear. You can get almost anything you need without leaving the resort. There are travel options to fly in or for the Detroit people, you can take a chartered bus. For the flyers, you also have the option to take a charter from the airport to the resort. I've done this twice and it has gone smoothly for me both times. For me, I never plan on attending a lot of activities on this day because there is a lot of registration and line you have to stand in. Be prepared. There's a line to pick up your room keys, one to get your bracelets (for activities), one to sign up for skiing, and one for a shuttle to your hotel. I will say that they are all worth it because you get everything done at once and you can start the next day fresh and ready to have fun.
If you've never been MLKSkiWeekend get ready to have a great time and make new friends and run into old friends. I ran into quite a few people that follow me on social. Hi guys! For me, this go around I was really determined to get better at snowboarding. So I spent a lot of my time doing just that. Now the difference between the last time I went and this time was about a 30 degree temperature change. It was cooooollllllddddd. Geez, but overall I got better at snowboarding. I busted my butt a lot, but I had fun doing it. If you really want to trying skiing or snowboarding I would recommend this weekend. There are tons of people to help you get started.
I love when people have a style aesthetic that perfectly fits them. I have always admired the style of Ellen DeGeneres. It’s simple, put together, comfortable and most of all it’s a fun style that is easy to integrate into your closet. In the case that you haven’t heard Walmart has a fashion collaboration with Ellen. The line is called EV1. It encompasses Ellen’s fun style with Walmart’s affordable pricing, free shipping over $35, and the ease of Walmart’s online shopping. It’s a win all around.
Style Notes: Comfort is the name of the game with the EV1 line. I am wearing the Love Flag Bleached Denim Jacket. It has plenty of stretch in the fabric. I got an XL in the jacket and would recommend sizing down one size. I paired them with the Preston High Rise Skinny. I am wearing an 18 in those, these jeans are more structured and have some stretch, but not a lot. Underneath my jacket, I have on a soft graphic tee which is super comfortable. I completed the look with what I consider to be a staple in Ellen’s wardrobe, the slip-on canvas sneaker. The sneakers are so comfortable and easy to wear. While shopping walmart.com.

Can you believe that I have already completed my Christmas shopping? I actually can't because just like most people I am down to the wire on Christmas Eve trying to find the perfect gift. Not this year! This year I have shopped with ShopStyle to find all of my friends and family gifts. ShopStyle allows you to shop all your favorite brands in one place. You can save items you love to your favorites, which enables you to come back and buy them and watch them for sales alerts. ShopStyle's sales alert features let you watch items that you have favorited and discover new things that are on sale. ShopStyle is the ultimate secret weapon for saving time, it's super convenient, and you can take the stress out of holiday shopping.
So are you wondering what I purchased for my family? I was able to shop all the items I was looking for by a simple search in the search bar of ShopStyle. I picked up a LeapFrog for my baby nephew, some cool Nike gear for my niece, a scented candle gift set for my mom, a leather bomber for dad, Clinique skincare products for my sister, and a pair of Beats by Dre headphones for my nephew. After a few clicks, all I had to do was wait for the items to arrive. It was all so easy. ShopStyle will be my secret weapon for Christmas shopping from now on.
