The company was founded in 1999 but it was in 2001 when it got its first casino license. However, Playtech is more of a software provider rather than an online casino. Some of the most popular casino games they have are Poker, Bingo, and Blackjack.

The answer to this question is not yet as of the moment, but we predict that this will happen in no time. Microsoft seems to be open about partnering with casino gaming software to have such games to be allowed on other gaming devices. • Blackjack Pro – This is pretty much the classic Blackjack that follows the rules of a casino in the Vegas Strip. What’s worth pointing out here is that there is only one deck of cards shuffled after each round.

Are you enamored with online casino gaming? This easy, fast and wildly entertaining way to play has quickly become a favorite pastime of gamers across the globe. We all know that poker is the king of the online casino games, but recently, one site has ramped up their efforts to make sure you fall in love just like the rest.

Meet the New Face of 888poker

Whether you’re a die-hard fan of online poker or a new user who only wants to see what it’s all about, you should know that one of the world’s most popular venues has changed up its face. The new-and-improved design at the online poker site 888poker features a fresh table layout, enhanced graphics and more functionality while you play. If you’re ready to experience all this on an extremely user-friendly interface, they’ve got you covered.

So, why would a site as established as 888poker revamp their design and roll out this entirely new material? For the players, of course. Enhancing the user experience is one of the driving forces in marketing today, and 888poker wants you to have the best experience possible. After all, what better way to draw in new players and keep current ones enamored than with constant improvements? Many gamers also tend to have a short attention span, with loyalty wavering when something better comes along, and this provider knows how to keep themselves in the spotlight.

888poker lays a brand-new table design on us, bringing us a better experience and a more entertaining gaming session.

By rolling out changes that provide enhanced functionality, 888poker gives players a chance to play smoother, better and faster than ever before. The graphics and sounds improve the entertainment value while fresh table layouts keep you on your toes and as enthralled as you were the first day you sat down to play. If you’ve never sat down to play, then these new changes might tempt you to do so. So, what’s all the hype? Let’s dive in.

Enhanced Graphics & Modern Design

You can be honest: You’re goofy for good graphics. A site can have revolutionary software, but if the graphics aren’t top-notch, you’ll get bored. 888poker knows how much high-quality graphics and motion animation affect user experience. People feel real emotions from these moving graphics, and they understand in a split second what it would otherwise take minutes to absorb through text. That’s why these professionals rolled out a whole new immersive experience for us with new and exciting themes, avatars and moving sequences that won’t quit.

The tables are now in 3D and feature larger cards, allowing you to enjoy all the fun of poker while giving your eyes a break from peering or squinting. You have the option to scroll easily through your open tables, and you can even choose to view your cards in “tilt” or “flat” display options, formatting as you see fit. 888poker has also cleaned up their table design substantially, eliminating distracting elements while highlighting features that matter the most like other players’ moves.

New avatars, cool graphics and a simplified yet sleeker design are some of the incredible new features that 888poker has rolled out.

The graphics ramp up when it comes to the final stages of your favorite tournaments. 888poker seems dedicated to making it as fun as possible for the user with theme-specific graphics and animation. You also have some element of control over this — you can even participate in community cake-throwing as you conquer your opponents during games.

These changes aren’t only for tournaments, however. 888poker has moved forward with every game and variation that they have on the site so that you can expect a good time whether you’re more of a Stud person or more of a Texas Hold ‘em type of player. You can even expect newer styles of play like SNAP to have a few new tricks up its sleeve.

Improved User Experience & More Functionality

With mobile casinos growing in popularity, it’s imperative that venues get real with their players and keep up with the times. That means tweaking functionality as well as aesthetics. It isn’t all about looks, however. These changes are welcome, but what gamers can’t wait for is the substance — and players at 888poker don’t have to wait long. There have been several big changes made to enhance the user experience and increase functionality across the board.

As of right now, these new features are available for desktop only — so strap in, grab a bag of popcorn and go to town on your favorite games from the comfort of your home.

The best of these changes depends on what you consider to be the most important factors while you play. Most gamers love aspects like the bet slider buttons, which you’ll be able to use to quickly figure out your betting options based off of what the player before you bet. Even if the player doesn’t make a bet, you’ll be able to see your options based off of the percentage increments of the pot in the middle. That has vast potential to eliminate mathematical problems, making games go that much smoother.

The auto-rebuy feature is another aspect we can’t get enough of, and it’s available in both cash games and tournaments. This handy button allows you to exert control over your rebuy strategy while still allowing you to focus concentration elsewhere. Another button located right next to it lets you deposit more funds at the click of a mouse.

If you’re the introspective type who likes to learn from past lessons (or repeat them), then check the hand histories tab at the top of the screen. That lets you go over your strategy and make improvements as well as analyze other players’ moves. This feature is excellent for serious players and those who like to go in for long-haul tournaments.

The new 888poker is chock-full of other features as well. You can customize your equity display, view a readable sit-out menu and even add extra time to make your moves through the time bank feature. It’s great for beginners as well as expert players who don’t like to rush through their moves.

What You Can Expect to Stay the Same

With real money online poker first gaining traction in the early 2000s, it has now skyrocketed in popularity over the past decade and serves millions of players worldwide. Though it has gone through wave after wave of changes, some things have remained the same. It’s critical for those venues who have established themselves to keep giving users what they want. And at 888poker, this means keeping it real with the same wide selection of games and bonus options available.

You can always expect this venue to continue delivering a myriad of gaming options for you. With classic Texas Hold ‘em, Stud and Omaha variations, gamers won’t get bored. New versions like SNAP and BLAST keep players coming back for more as well. Plus, the wide variety of buy-in options makes poker accessible for everyone, and the sheer variety of games available ensures you’ll keep coming back.

Ready to get in on some online poker? Brush up on your strategies first and make sure to learn a few tricks of the trade.

Substantial bonuses for new players are always a hit here, as are the rewards programs, which players come to love as their time with the venue increases. Don’t expect 888poker to throw these things out with the dishwater, as they’re a crucial element to the venue’s popularity and a soothing balm to its fan base.

It feels good to experience the satisfaction that comes with playing at a venue that knows what it’s doing. 888poker is an excellent example of this. They’re playing their cards right with all these new changes, but they’re not eliminating any of the factors that players have come to enjoy. Are you interested yet? Like regular video games, modern casino games are based on a wide variety of themes. Something that has become more popular in recent years is the idea of a sports-themed casino game. Sometimes this can be the loosest of interpolations, but with more officially licenced games featuring top sports stars (more on that below), some new casino games are tearing up the script.

Below we have picked five sports-themed casino games that are much, much more interesting than you might expect. A couple of ‘golden oldies’ are in there, but also some hot new titles have made the list.

Top Trumps: World Football Stars

This game from Playtech is like EA’s FIFA of casino games. It has top-notch graphics, officially endorsed image rights and some cool gameplay. It’s a slot game, where the symbols are made the image of top stars like Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos. You can play the game at Betfair Casino, a site available on the latest no deposit free bets list for 2019. That means you can play the game for free and, as Betfair is a famous sportsbook, you can use your free spins winnings to bet on anything from England to win Euro 2020 at 5/1 to Pleasant Company to win the next Grand National at 33/1.

Scudamore’s Super Stakes

Speaking of horse racing, legendary jockey Peter Scudamore has his very own slot game released in early 2019. The game is pretty standard fare, but it really comes alive in the Free Games Bonus. This is a dual feature, combing virtual horse racing and slots. If you pick the winner of the race alongside your bonus winnings, you could be in for a huge prize. Scudamore’s son, Tom, could ride the excellent West Approach, a 16/1 shot in the upcoming Bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown. Something to consider with any winnings from his father’s slot game.

Break Away

Microgaming’s Break Away broke the mold for slot games, and not just in the sense of being a sports-themed game. Essentially, it changed how many people view slot games, with innovative collapsing reels features and the chance of mega payouts from small wagers. On the thematic side, the game is based on ice hockey, and there’s lots of cool bonus features based with based on that sport. In terms of graphics, Break Away has dated a bit, but it’s still lots of fun.

Frankie Dettori’s Magic Seven

The game widely regarded as the trailblazer for both sports and celebrity-themed slots. Magic Seven celebrates Frankie Dettori’s amazing seven-winner day at Ascot back in the mid-1990s. The slot has two excellent bonus games, The Free Games Race and the Magic Seven Bonus. Both special features are innovative, fun and, potentially, very lucrative. Dettori himself is still going strong nearly a quarter of a century after his amazing feat. He rides Too Darn Hot, the 6/4 favourite with Betfred in the 2000 Guineas next month.

Liverpool FC Slot

Slots can be based on anything, from tv shows like Family Guy to rock bands like Guns N’ Roses. However, as far as we can see, Liverpool is the only sports club, certainly in the UK, with an officially licenced slot game. It’s available on the site of Liverpool’s marketing partner, BetVictor. A fun game, featuring all the modern icons of the football club.

Police were called into action in Gujarat, India’s westernmost state, in order to detain ten individuals who were defying a newly announced ban of the video game PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG). Violent aspects of gaming have been tolerated in many countries, but authorities in Gujarat have acted in the hope that the ban will aid civil and social education. However, the pervasive nature of violence in global gaming could make this ban difficult to execute.

The ten gamers that police detained ignored the ruling by accessing PUBG, with each individual later released with a warning. The notion that exposure to violent games hinders cognitive and social development is not a new one, but most governments have resigned themselves to imposing age restrictions and allowing people to use their discretion when purchasing games.

The rise of battle royale games

The tolerance of violent games has been exemplified in recent years by the huge popularity of Fortnite, a battle royale game that operates in a similar fashion to PUBG. The objective in PUBG is purely to eliminate other players in a map designed for a battle royale. The game can end in the blink of an eye for an unlucky player, while there is a total dearth of world-building or narrative beyond the game’s survival mode. That lack of story or character development substantiates the notion that PUBG is a vehicle for violence.

Banning PUBG is one thing, but individuals have a vast choice in the genre of battle royale games. There are so many games that offer this type of entertainment that a ban would need to be wholesale to fulfil its goal. This is a step taken by many governments. Chinese authorities have banned games with violence and gore, a stance which unsurprisingly included the prohibition of PUBG.

The Grand Theft Auto series has also been banned in China, a result of pretty much every element of the games. The German government has been similarly proactive in prohibiting violent games. The Dead Rising and Army of Two series were both banned for excessive gore, while the ban on God of War was only lifted upon consideration of the problem-solving aspects of the game.

Banning non-violent games

The Football Manager series is a thoroughly non-violent affair, yet its recognition of the independence of some states has proven controversial. Both Germany and China have banned various iterations of the game as a result of its acknowledgment of certain states having their own sovereignty. These details have since been amended to allow edited versions of the game to be released.

It is also unsurprising that a large range of countries prohibit their citizens from accessing online gambling games. Many Islamic countries have outlawed gambling as advised by religious teachings, with those caught gambling in the United Arab Emirates liable to serve two years in prison. Other countries have banned online gambling out of regulatory concerns, with China only permitting its population to enter state-controlled lotteries.

Many countries, such as Malaysia and Qatar, have banned online gambling but still allow land-based casinos to operate. Gamers are allowed to play roulette in licensed physical casinos but are unable to access any websites that host the same game. A wide range of countries allow websites the freedom to offer many versions of roulette, including the United Kingdom and New Zealand, while other nations allow more limited choice.

It is not just roulette that is banned in many countries, with several governments imposing widespread bans on online casino games. Japan has banned both land-based and online poker, while the United Arab Emirates’ stance on card games is as strict as the approach to roulette. Some countries, such as Luxembourg and Turkey, only allow online sports betting and lotteries, which is bad news for fans of classic card games like blackjack and poker.

This demonstrates the difficulty in finding a global consensus on this type of matter. The debate about gaming violence will similarly never reach a universal conclusion, so fans of this genre will be left in the hands of their local authorities. While those gamers in Gujarat may feel disaffected by the ban, the ruling comes from a place of compassion rather than oppression.

The point at which real-life sports and the virtual gaming world intersect finds fans of both realms coming together to feel the thrill of competition right in their own living rooms. As a true-blue sports fan, you want to see your favourite players come to life on screen and catch a glimpse of how it feels to play as them; as a dedicated gamer, you want the gameplay to be responsive, intuitive and impressive and for the graphics to be worthy of the latest console’s potential. Read on for just a taster of some of the best sports games you can currently play on the PS4.

FIFA 2019

One of the most recognisable and best-loved gaming franchises in the world is the FIFA series. The first FIFA game was released way back in 1993 for classics like the SNES, Sega Mega Drive and other vintage platforms. The game came to the PlayStation platform in the same year the Sony console was released: 1995. Since then, EA Sports has released a new and updated version every year, as well as some special edition games like World Cups, FIFA Street and FIFA Mobile.

The latest offering in time for 2019 was released last September to rave reviews and, even up against competition like Konami’s PES 2019, it still holds its own. The realistic gameplay captures every detail—from the players’ hyper-real faces to the authentic feel of the ball control—to put you right there on the pitch, while fully utilising the PS4’s capabilities. One of the FIFA game franchise’s biggest selling points is its authenticity factor, and on this it delivers yet again. The inclusion of the Champions League and the faithful recreations of stadiums and players is the closest you can get to the thrill of the real thing.

NHL 19

Voted by Games Radar as the best sports game of 2018, this latest take on a virtual National Hockey League will please both hockey fans and newcomers alike. The NHL games thus far may not have built up the hardcore international fanbase of FIFA, but this title will certainly win over a lot of brand-new devotees on the strength of its gameplay alone. It’s fast, fun and exciting to play, with options available for both the seasoned pro and the novice player.

A wealth of customisable options, both online and offline modes, a wide variety of locations to choose from, fast and furious gameplay, and (frankly) fantastic presentation mean that this game is an absolute joy. One of its secret weapons is that it caters to almost every type of player through the sheer variety of choice on offer in every aspect. And the graphics are incredible. Whether you think the Boston Bruins or the Pittsburgh Penguins have a chance in the current NHL season, you can still coach them to virtual victory in the latest and greatest ice hockey offering from EA Sports.

Rocket League

Taking a step off the pitch and into the unknown, we find Psyonix’s Rocket League. Based on a soccer game format, instead of using human players, the game provides rocket-powered vehicles with which to score goals, make tackles and control the ball. It’s a whole lot of fun and really steps the action up a notch in comparison to EA Sports’ hyper-realistic renditions of real-life sporting events. The game has had great reviews across the board and, for what initially sounds like a crazy idea, it turns out to be an engaging and obsessive alternative to straight virtual soccer.

Indie Games

The latest offering from Clap Hanz’s title, Everybody’s Golf, was back in 2017, but later this year will see the release of a VR version of the game. Although this is traditionally a much more casual and relaxed game than others mentioned on this list, the VR element certainly promises to generate a new frisson of excitement.

A fresh and friendly arcade-style basketball game that’s worth giving a shot is NBA 2K Playground 2. The fun style of this title and its appealing playability make it an easy game to dip into but a difficult one to put back down again. It is proof that lifelike graphics and super-detailed gameplay are not always what make a sports video game great; rather, it’s how much gamers enjoy playing it.

If you’re not familiar with Apex Legends, you’ve probably been living under a rock. Or you’re not that really of a gamer. The free-to-play battle royale game took the gaming world by storm, overshadowing its fierce adversary Fortnite in less than a month. Since being released on February 4, 2019, by publisher EA without any marketing prior to the release, Apex Legends had 25 million downloads in a week and 50 million in just a month! So, yeah, it is rightly called Fortnite-killer.

The Apex Legends craze doesn’t seem to slow down. More and more players are downloading the game, with the servers filled to the brim. If you’re not familiar with Apex Legends, here’s a quick intro.

Similar to Fortnite, Apex Legends is a battle royale game where 60 players are put on a map against each other in squads of 3. One player from each squad controls the entry point for his team. The goal of the game is to scavenge resources and weapons to fight the opposing squads while the map grows smaller and smaller. The last remaining squad on the map wins the game.

Apex Legends supports microtransactions for cosmetic items. Since its release, Respawn Entertainment (the developer) has announced plans for cross-platform play as well as smartphone and Nintendo ports in the future. The sudden success of Apex Legends really caught everyone by surprise. The servers are full and players can occasionally experience lags as well as other problems such as not being able to play with friends from other locations than their own. Due to this, the community recommends using a VPN for playing Apex Legends online which should solve most problems.

How to Pick the Right VPN for Apex Legends?

Picking a VPN isn’t an easy job. There are quite a few solutions to pick from, each one coming with its own advantages and disadvantages. Free VPN’s, if you’ve ever tried them, are not that good. Those included in browsers are not very effective as well. If you want to play Apex Legends online without lag or other technical problems, you need a quality VPN that will probably set you back more than a few bucks.

Why Do I Need a VPN?

The whole point of using VPNs is that they allow access to geo-restricted games. Of course, they will also encrypt your connection and unblock certain features. Using a VPN is highly recommended these days as it also protects you from DDoS attacks and hackers.

At the same time, VPN’s will help you resolve problems such as being unable to connect to Origin from your location (since they change your IP address). Although they may cost a hefty sum, VPNs are highly recommended, especially for Apex Legends and other battle royale games.

How to Use VPNs?

Using most VPNs is simple. You start a VPN connection and download what you need to – in this case, Origin and Apex Legends. You install Origin first while the VPN is active, then do the same with the game. Now’s the time to make an Origin profile – once you’re done, log in and start the game. Follow these steps carefully as starting the game without logging to Origin can mess it up.

As soon as you’re successfully connected, it’s time to enter Apex Legends’ immersive world. You have the option to pick one from eight heroes, each one unique in its own way. You can go for Caustic if you’re a poison expert or choose Gibraltar if you’re into grunts. You can also go for scouts, medics, and professional soldiers – whatever your choice, we’re sure you’ll have hours of fun with Apex Legends.

Have ‘Games as a Service’ (GAAS) Reached Bursting Point?

February 2019 saw the release of Anthem, Apex Legends and Crackdown 3, all around the same date. These highly anticipated titles are yet more ‘time sinks’ following in the footsteps of Destiny and The Division.

Whilst Anthem came out with plenty of notice, a playable demo, and a launch fanfare, it wasn’t long before the comparison videos popped up showing how different the final version was compared to the teaser footage. In stark comparison, Apex Legends just appeared with no previews, stress tests, demos or fanfare. The resulting game came with no expectations and was positively received.

However, does the market really need another Destiny or Division? Why do games need to take so long?

As the average gamer is a time-poor thirty-something, GAAS games are an investment and not one that can be easily switched. Some choose to spend their time embroiled in epic battles, whilst others may just kick back and play online casino games on Lvbet

Recently, gamers have been swamped with time sink games such as the battle royal titles such as Fortnight and PUBG and the thought of having to put another 50+ hours into a new game feels exhausting.

Couple that with the controversy around loot boxes and pay to win mechanics, console games are getting ever closer to the bad side of mobile games. It would be fantastic to buy a game and know that you have everything you need to enjoy the game and there was no season pass, no characters behind paywalls, or no shop to buy hats and coloured guns to your ‘enhance or personalise’ the experience.

With AAA games such as Resident Evil 2, proving that there is still life in the single player game market and a plethora of indie titles, such as Psychonauts 2 on the horizon, I realise now that it is these more unique ‘complete’ games that now excite me. The thought of a 20-hour slog, only to then be sold loot boxes, outfits and gear (which are needed to beat the overpowered ‘bosses’) fill me with dread. As a reviewer, I love the feeling of completing a game and experiencing the game as the designer intended. One single isolated experience.

As I discuss it with others in the industry, I am finding this be a common feeling that is growing with each new GAAS game. Many feel like tools to drain players of any spare change they can muster.

How do you feel about the new crop of GAAS games? Are you committed to Destiny or will you jump ship to experience the latest time sinks on the market?

Video games are an easy target when it comes to blame and video games get a special mention in the news when there are acts of violence involving young people. However, this is not a new thing, the vilification of games has been around since the dawn of home consoles in the ’80s. If they weren’t rotting your brain, they were causing children to be angry and violent.

Recent studies have shown that the opposite is actually true and that being engaged with your entertainment is far better than simply passively consuming it. More recently, video games are being used for the treatment of certain ailments as wide-ranging as brain injuries to simple ‘ice-breakers’ when doctors need to talk to children. So, whether you are regularly seeing a doctor or having your meds delivered to your door, it’s worth exploring the healing benefits of video games.

Gaming as a Discussion Tool

Getting children to discuss their symptoms can prove difficult and many children still find visits to the doctor difficult. However, some pediatricians have started to use video games in their waiting areas, not simply to provide entertainment, but also to act as an ice-breaker when they play games with their younger patients. As many children are familiar with video games, they can be the expert in the doctor-patient relationship. Studies have shown that young people become more open and willing to discuss their symptoms or ask pertinent questions about their health after playing a health game with a doctor.

Gaming as a Diagnostic Tool

Microsoft recently released AssessMS to help those suffering from multiple sclerosis (MS). Created in partnership with Novartis AG, the new program that uses the Xbox Kinect sensor, allows researchers to analyse important data regarding the patient’s physical symptoms by recording their movements.

Previously, precise measurements and consistent assessments of patients’ movements were difficult to ascertain and evaluate making it hard to make informed choices about their care and treatment options.

Gaming as a Treatment

In its simplest form, video games can act as a distraction but also so much more. One simple initiative that demonstrated that gaming could aid the healing process was the GO Karts by Gamers Outreach. This all-in-one mobile games console and monitor was created specifically for hospitals and could be moved around children’s wards to help with a number of ailments. The games to help encourage socialising, create a welcome distraction, and even aid in therapy.

One situation involved using the GO Kart to distract a patient while nurses changed the bandages covering a severe burn. Previously, this was a very painful process for the patient and caused a great deal of anxiety. At one point it took six nurses to hold the child down to switch the bandages. When the hospital allowed the patient to play Lego Batman during the bandage change, it required only two nurses. The act of playing made the patient focus on the game their fear and anxiety reduced.

Gaming as a Training Tool

In research published in Wires Cognitive Science, playing games that require players to pay attention to multiple visual queues and react accordingly improve a person’s visual attention skills. These visual attention skills mean gamers can better differentiate important elements in the field of vision and filter out less important. In the real world, this translates to better driving skills and the ability to pick out familiar faces in a crowd. These skills are also beneficial for those eager to work in areas in which high visual attention skills are needed, such as a fighter pilot. This was supported by studies at the University of Rochester in which they pitched habitual gamers against non-gamers in a series of tests that looked at visual attention skills. The gamers consistently out-performed the non-gamers.

Video games that are job role specific can also help trainee doctor practice certain procedures. Debra Lieberman, Ph.D., Director of Health Games Research, said “We will see more use of digital games in a variety of clinical settings, as the health games field matures,” she further went on to say “Healthcare providers have become increasingly receptive to the use of digital games for clinical training, and for the rehearsal of hospital procedures to be implemented in emergencies and epidemics.“

A recent article on CNN highlighted that “Sixty-seven percent of households have at least one member who plays video games and 40 percent of those players are female.” This statement highlights the reach of video games. If this power was used to educate, diagnose, train and even heal people, then the current negative connotations can be dispelled.

Whilst Fortnight and PUBG sweeps the world, a growing, a renewed passion for cop-op party games has awoken. This is not just due to the Nintendo Switch making two player games fun again, but also due to successful indie titles such as Overcooked and Speedrunners. These fun little games mean four players to play together in one house, on one screen and enjoy the moment together.

To celebrate the rise of the fantastic couch co-op games, I have rounded up six sensational games penciled to be out in the next 12 months.

Arrow Heads | Oddbird

Armed with your trusty bow, shoot, dodge and deflect arrows in this crazy isometric archery game. Arrow Heads can be played with up to four players both locally and online (as well as mix the two), ensuring you have as much frantic fun as possible. With a multitude of unique levels, and totally devastating power-ups to blast your enemies, archery has never been so much fun. Weapons include explosive rockets, electric tesla coils and leg-chomping bear traps to name a few. Slated for release on Xbox One this quarter.

Brief Battles | Juicy Cupcake

If you are looking for something that not only borders on the ridiculous but passed the border and sticks some pink panties on the border as it passes, then Brief Battles is for you. Conquer your foes with flaming hot pants, buns of steel, toxic tighty whities and many more. Brief Battles enjoyed crazy over-the-top gameplay, colourful heroes, hysterical game modes and riotous combat power-ups. This 2D party battler is doing the rounds at game events now and should be out soon on Xbox One.

Can’t Drive This | Pixel Maniacs

Can’t Drive This is a crazy two-player racing platformer game in which one player drives whilst the other builds the racing track. Throw into the mix the fact that the car explodes if you go too slow, and you have a frantic racer that relies on teamwork and cooperation. Can’t Drive This offers dozens of wacky obstacles, customisation and stunt controls for the most unique racing experience you’ll have this year.

Jump Gunners | NerdRage Studios

Jump Gunners is a pixel-art styled couch combat shooting game that uses your guns recoil to manoeuvre players around the map. Unleash mayhem with three friends, as you guys blast each other with over weapons in over 80 different levels. Each environment is fully destructible and game modes can be customised in various ways.

Treadnauts | Topstitch Games

Treadnauts is a fast-paced, blast-filled four player tank brawler in which the tanks take to the sky. Players can drive up all the walls, rocket jump onto the roof and squash opposing players like bugs. The vibrant cartoon visuals and frantic over-the-top action make this one to watch in 2018.

Big Crown Showdown | Hyper Luminal Games

Big Crown: Showdown showcases a multitude of medieval madness in a frenetic four-player multiplayer assault course. Set across three wacky worlds, players must avoid perilous hazards and engage in frantic fights, as they attempt to knock opponents off 15 crazy courses. The game looks stunning and after playing it at EGX Rezzed, I am looking forward to the full release.

Whilst you wait for these couch co-op gems to arrive you can earn other gems at scr888. Or alternatively, check out my two of my favourite co-op games out now:

Overcooked

This cute, yet challenging co-op puzzler sees up-to four players attempt to save the world through food preparation. Having travelled back in time after escaping a meatball monster, cooks need to hone their skills and chop and boil their way through a host of fantastic levels from a pirate ship to cooking between two moving vehicles.

Rocket League

Rocket League is football (soccer) played with rocket-powered cars. The hair-trigger controls, physics-based action and more vehicles that you can shake a stick at. From amazing aerial goals to game-changing saves, Rocket League is completely bonkers but totally brilliant.
