Energy is very simple.

Good vibes make us strong. Bad vibes make us weak. It’s one of the greatest scientific breakthrough lessons I learned from Dr. Bruce Lipton who studied this using human cells as a medium of exploration.

They are both pretty straightforward.

Good vibes. Bad vibes.

You and I both know the difference.

It’s when we explain away the bad vibes, feel guilty or obligated to go against our best intentions or get distracted by noise and chaos that the bad vibes persist. When we ruminate on them, talk about them and fear them, they persist.

Instead, you can simply choose to feel much better.

There are epic Feng Shui rituals in the FREE Love Feng Shui video series coming soon (grab them HERE) to fill your home and your days with the highest energies, but, before we even begin, here’s a little ritual you can do starting today to keep your life clear of anything but the energy you want!

The point of all things is to feel as good as possible. And you don’t need a ritual to do this. You can literally surround yourself by the highest vibes.

When I’m plant shopping or strolling through trees or on a lawn, I’m at my very best. At the Flower Mart, I come to life!

With a giant new snake plant on my desk and another growing on my patio after this morning’s immersion in plant power, I feel the extra strength and sparkle of my environment.

That said, there are days we need a little extra. Or, we may have some clearing to do before we can begin to create a more sparkling space.

First, I write. And I don’t write logic. I write all of it out, all of it. Every single instinct, feeling, sensation, idea, issue… I don’t write it in full sentences. I don’t write it for others to read. I write it to literally release it all. I don’t try to solve it all.

I just let it all out.

I also don’t write it to dwell upon it. Once I have it all out on the page, I don’t go back and read any of it over.

It’s done.

Now, I do some space clearing. Whether it’s washing my dishes, organizing my purse or burning some high-energy herbs, I do whatever strikes me first and do it until I feel even lighter.

Then, I go back to my day, refreshed.

Energy shifts when we don’t bottle it, constrict it, deny it, or think, in my case, that it will “work itself out” while I’m stressed, drained or run down.

Things tend to shift when we release our grip on them. We let go of all that’s been bottled up. We send away whatever’s been in the way.

I do hundreds of versions of this depending on how I feel, but simple is always spectacular!

If you’ve got a lot to deal with, even if it’s all great things but a lot of things, see how you feel if you try it, or your own version of it.

Clearing your life of anything that feels like a “block” is incredibly powerful. You’ll both feel great and supercharge your manifesting powers all at once!!!

xoxo!

I’m a big believer that we are either expanding or contracting, growing brighter or diminishing our presence– there is no “same old, same old.” When things are the same for a long stretch of time, I know that means I’m actually gradually in a period of decline.

I also know that when I’m too complacent, not learning and not evolving at all, I am apt to ultimately get bored, complaining, idling, creatively blocked and some version of unhappy.

While constant growth is the greatest feeling I know, I am just as passionate about simplicity. I don’t need or like complex regimes, difficult workouts, impossible scheduling or anything that requires me to be rigid.

Growing and thriving is the vibe I’m always after. Simple and easy are the best way to characterize my favorite ways to get there.

Because I’m always pulling more wellness and self-care into my life for my own sake as well as to share, I’m always experiencing both overwhelming success and underwhelming response to things. I thought a high tech machine I experienced last November to clear chakras would be epic, and it actually made me feel sick. I believed that celery juice would be not-that-great and it has been life-changing.

Today, I’m excited to share five wellness additions that have proven to be keepers in my daily routine, and a preview of what I’m eyeing next! It may not all be for you, but I hope you find something of value in these!

Celery. I’ll likely devote a full post to the glories of celery juice that you may have head about 200 times in the last day thanks to Anthony William the Medical Medium and his information channeled from Spirit that guides him in healing people.

Right now, I can tell you— 16 oz. of fresh celery juice first thing in the morning at least 15 minutes before eating is the recommendation. I have about half that amount and I feel excellent, but I’m gradually raising it to the full 16oz. I’ve found it’s a potent detoxifier so I go slowly, even after six or seven months of this, and it keeps getting better.

How does it get better? My skin feels like it’s changing to a more deeply hydrated new texture even on the driest spots, my eyes look brighter (*the 9 day Liver Rescue really helped with that!) and I feel like I’m digesting food more efficiently because I seem to feel the energy of the food I eat much more. I also feel more clear minded, and without much effort or thought have dropped to 90% plant-based in my diet.

Foam Rolling. Maybe I should call this Lo-Rox’ing because I’ve been doing a foam rolling body alignment class with Lauren Roxburgh for the last month and a half and her methods of breathing and body awareness have been a huge shift for me.

Now, I breathe into my body and feel the breath moving more consciously through my system. I’m more aware of where I’m holding onto tension. I know I’ve gained some core strength and that I have quite a ways to go… and I’m excited about that! My hips are more open, my body feels more toned… and I am just getting started!

I love that this is the kind of habit you can pick up and do for five minutes or ten and feel big effects. I also love all of this learning and building strength and space in my body.

Next for me — rebounding on the trampoline rebounder Lauren recommends! I’ll be continuing my foam rolling journey, for sure.

Chaga Mushroom Lattes.

I’m not a nutritionist. I have been personally hearing about chaga for 6 years and I finally decided to give it a whirl.

It’s apparently amazing for the immune system , Anthony William says it helps destroy Epstein Barr virus (which lots of us been exposed to over the years) and it’s full of vitamins. (You can read more about it here from an actual Health source, including more about who should avoid it)

One dose a day and I felt a lightness and vitality I’ve craved. It was one of those “I didn’t know how grounded and energized I could feel at once until I tried this,” moments for me. I have increased to two doses as recommended on my chaga package.

I have chaga as a dairy free latte.

I put a small handful of raw walnuts or sunflower seeds or cashews (whatever I have on hand) into my Vitamix with enough water to cover them and blend it up for a minute until I have milk.

At the same time I get some water boiling.

I add my chaga powder to a mug, and then fill half the mug with boiling water that turns my chaga into something that resembles old school instant coffee.

Then, I pour in the nut/seed milk and stir in some raw honey.

When I skip a day, I truly notice the difference. Because I’ve started doing this in the last two months I know that the added energy and glow I feel is definitely not all from celery juice, it’s the chaga!

(flourish cannabis)

Olive Oil Sugar Scrubs

While I love to do dry brushing (more here) as an exfoliating and detoxifying habit, when my skin feels too dry, I mix up a sugar scrub with olive oil. Olive oil is full of antioxidants, and, as Allure notes, it also contains skin-moisture-magic-ingredient squalene.

I’ve made big jars of this and have found that they spoil on me, so I much prefer to mix up one of these per shower.

I keep a little mixing jar handy and mix about equal parts white sugar (extra-fine is possible, it tends to clump less on me) and olive oil right before I take a shower. After rinsing under the shower quickly, I shut the water and grab my jar to do a several minute long scrub, gently scrubbing the sugar and oil in circles on my damp skin from my feel all the way up to my shoulders.

Once I feel really well “polished”, I finish my shower quickly and end with exceptionally smooth skin.

The massage of sugar and oil has been awesome for waking up in the morning without extra caffeine and, at the same time, my small bumpy patches of skin on my arms and ankles are history!

And as a bonus #5 for you today: making more art has been my greatest of all wellness habits. I think it brings me the the most balance of all things.

Whether you try all or none, greatest intention is that any of this encourages you to explore your own small steps, little decisions, tiny rituals that bring more energy, joy and expansion to your life!

The adventure and experiments are a part of the fun of wellness and the joy of choosing self-love and growth!!!

Keep it simple, and enjoy it all!!!

xoxo!!!

I have not felt deeply moved by a Lunar New Year since the Year of the Sheep. It was the year I did my first live feng shui talk in Los Angeles, all about the Sheep year, and it was a landmark year for me. I was feeling all the Sheep themes, and it was so much fun.

The Year of the Pig has me even more moved by its themes– richness, sensory goodness, beauty, creative expression, prosperity, completing things…

It’s all the themes of creative awakening, inspired action and reveling in life that I love so much!!!

Today, I’m excited to share the feng shui for the Lunar New Year of the Pig that I wait for each year from Dr. Gabriele Van Zon. It’s all so lush and fun this year, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!

(via)

Feng Shui Bliss with the Happy Pig and the Wild Boar! by Dr. Gabriele Van Zon, Feng Shui Universal

Good News! The year of the Pig is forecast to be peaceful and harmonious. In Chinese astrological forecasts the year of the Wild Boar is perhaps a bit more yang due to a preference for the more masculine aspects of life. In our western culture we are ready for the year of the brown pig, more yin and feminine in character, and ruled by the stability and security of the earth element.

Our vision for the year ahead should reflect the many positive traits of the pig as well as the boar. The Boar is resourceful, intelligent and determined to forge ahead. Clear goals and a plan of action are crucial in laying the groundwork for success in the New Year.

The Pig, a bon vivant and epicurean, likes the finer things in life and longs for all to be well on earth.

On the annual charts of Chinese astrology the elements are well-balanced with emphasis on fire and water. The year is ruled by the earth element which creates a favorable scenario for a nurturing and peaceful environment. According to predictions, the year of the Pig is filled with opportunities for creating wealth and prosperity, more so than recent years.

If we emulate the positive traits of the Pig and follow the basic principles of feng shui, we have an optimal chance of fulfilling our personal wishes. The Pig is self-indulgent and prefers to relax in comfort and luxury. Personal well-being is a must and surroundings should be aesthetically pleasing. The pig personality enjoys tradition and culture with a keen eye for beauty and good taste. Once basic needs for well-being have been met, the Pig is altruistic, kind and generous. In the hierarchy of needs, feng shui always advocates that basic needs have to be met for successful pursuit of higher goals.

Shape your year of the Pig and Wild Boar with feng shui recommendation:

  • Create a plan of action and set clear goals.
  • Look at your world with the eye of an aesthete.
  • Endow objects with an aura of symbolic value.
  • Discriminate and pick quality nutrition with the expertise of an epicurean.
  • Indulge sensory experiences by engaging all five senses.
  • Fill your space with the rich sounds of your favorite music.
  • Diffuse Frankincense and Myrrh, the wise men’s gifts of fine scents.
  • Use red to spark new ideas and boost energy.
  • Create your personal spa ambiance with soft towels and fragrant oils.
  • Thus refresh and replenish your energy.
  • Use mirrors to reflect your best possessions.
  • Use lights to illuminate what’s meaningful and aesthetically pleasing.
  • Light up dark corners.
  • Favor the earth element by space-clearing earth sectors of the bagua.
  • Enhance the center and display a vase to collect the gifts from the universe.
  • Connect to your deeper self by meditating.
  • Sink into what’s plush and comforting.
  • And remember, according to Miss Piggy, “the best things in life are free.”

The pig is the 12th and last in the parade of zodiac animals, therefore the plan of action should include completion. The end of a cycle is always fertile ground for finishing projects and tying up loose ends. With a clean slate the future is wide open for renewal and transformation.

Thank you for sharing this Gabriele!  I look forward every year to your in-depth analysis of the Lunar New Year energies!

xoxo!!!

I shot these photos five years ago in Venice Beach, and today I wouldn’t be able to take the same photos.  My friend spent an afternoon this weekend clearing endless loads of trash off the shore and out of the water in this same spot.  Luckily, after a day of her efforts, the beach was more clear for days.

We can make a big difference if we all do our part.

Even with recycling, we’re still wasting way more than the planet can contain.

In a gradual progression leading to a big awakening, I have found so many more ways to not contribute to the garbage pile and I am learning more every day.

You may have seen the awesome people who have created Zero Waste in the last few years.  They are all my heroes and inspirations.

Low-Waste is not only increasingly easy to accomplish, it has inspired me creatively, it’s been a source of personal integrity, it’s helped me make healthier choices, and it is such a decision in favor of abundance!

Today, some of my easiest low-waste ways are here for you.  If you have your own, I would LOVE to hear them, too!

The Green Living upgrades in my own life never end!  As more reports about climate change, the warming of the oceans and the disappearance of various wildlife species pop up on my newsfeeds, I keep getting a flashback to a very strange class trip I took when I was in first or second grade in New Jersey.

There were no flashing environmental warnings back then, but I got mine during this trip to what I can only describe as a garbage dump.

It was a garbage dump.

I think we were meant to be educated about how recycling works, or why it was important, but for Secaucus, a city built on a swamp filled with truck yards and tons of outlet malls, it was a strange trip.

I remember cringing when I saw giant birds flying in and sitting on top of heaps of trash while we were told that this garbage would go to landfills.

“But… then what would happen to it in the landfill?!” I asked, some alarmed version of this, watching the birds swoop into other people’s garbage.

“It stays there.”

“But… what happens when we run out of room for garbage?”

No one could answer. I think a teacher mentioned that maybe one day there would be islands made of garbage. But, she said we could do more recycling and that could help.

I was horrified, and from that day forward was acutely aware of the need to recycle everything possible.

Only about eight months ago did I learn to do that more specifically and properly, much to my own surprise.

We’ll talk more about recycling soon.  For now, some easy ways to participate in generating less waste.:

1. I totally stopped using straws.

If you love straws, when dining out, bring your own reusable glass or stainless steel straw, and tell your server you do not want a plastic straw in your drink. If you can do without straws completely, all the better.

I have been very confounded by “plant based straws” lately that I have seen popping up in heath food stores in Los Angeles, so I did some investigating.  Most of these, FYI, are not as easily “compostable” as the label suggests.  For instance, you cannot toss most of them into your compost pile.  Many require special compost facilities to process them, and these are not plentiful in the USA.  These are a big step in the right direction, but not a complete step.  No straw is the best way!

2. Using a reusable bag for produce has been great. I always bring my actual reusable grocery bags, but the produce bags are a trick.  I tried simply piling up the produce I wanted without a bag and having it weighed “bag free” at the checkout counter, but that isn’t always the easiest thing to manage if you’re like me and get a ton of produce.

Reusable produce bags are pretty nifty. These are ecofriendly, durable and washable.

(Even without special reusable bags, you can re-use most produce bags many times before recycling if they are recyclable.)

3. I said goodbye to even more fashion purchases.  Fast fashion is one of the biggest polluters on the planet. Plus, it creates stress and clutter in our homes once the season or trend has passed. Consignment shops, apps like Thread Up and Poshmark, thrift stores and more can be a great way to vote with your dollars, steering away from fast fashion.  You can also investigate the environmental practices of your favorite stores and see if they are worth shopping at!

4. I stopped getting beverages in single cans or single plastic bottles.  Easy enough to do and it makes a big difference.

5. I got a great home water filter so that I don’t need to purchase water in bottles.  Bottles of water are stored for true earthquake-kit emergency purposes only in my house.

6. Carry a reusable water bottle if you don’t already.  It’s so easy. You can also re-use a glass water bottle or even a mason jar as your re-fillable water bottle.

7. Bringing a mug from home is my new habit of choice. Bring your own travel coffee mug to coffee shops – many take-out coffee cups are not recyclable, even if they’re made of paper.  Inside, they’re lined with a plastic material so they can hold your coffee inside.

8. Increasingly now, I make my own cleaning products at home – and use re-fillable spray bottles.  Laundry detergent is one of the only pre-packaged cleaners I still buy. This is easy and effective.  Vinegar, water, Castile soap… its all so easy and effective.

9. I get dried fruit, pasta, rice, nuts, and anything else I need as often as possible from bulk bins and fill refillable bags or containers. Tea is another big thing I love to buy in bulk, and I feel fortunate to have lots of herbs for tea available in my neighborhood.

10. Do not use disposable razors. Instead use razors with replacement blades. My final frontier on this one is getting a gorgeous safety razor.  The reviews I’ve read have been tremendous!

11. I cook at home all the time now, more than ever… and when I eat out, I bring my own container to restaurants when getting food to-go.

12. It was easy to give up food that is in single-serving packages like gum, popsicles, and nutrition bars. I found easy ways to make my own Lara bars and granola (*way less expensive and more delicious) and I carry around a bottle of essential oils that are a blend of mint (*lie-changing: OraMD) in place of gum and mints.

13. I am a big NO on getting food delivered to my house.  The packaging is never recyclable because of the food and oil residue. If you do order delivery to your house, you can request that they do not pack plastic utensils or napkins and you’ll use far less plastic.

14. When I’m packing up food or snacks to go somewhere, I use glass Tupperware.  When packing lunches, use reusable snack and lunch bags –plastic wrap is not recyclable.

15. I’ve found ways to re-fill and re-use packaging. Reuse plastic containers that berries and tomatoes are packed in. Sometimes Farmers Markets will refill them for you, or your local grocery store may take them for you to re-use.

16. I have officially run out of journal pages to write on and I’m running out for a new recycled paper sketchpad. I use both sides of each sheet of paper – and try to by paper that is only made from recycled material.

17. I’m big on donating old clothes to charity.  Now that I don’t shop much I have less to donate!  You can sell them to second hand stores as often as you can.  You can also use old clothes as rags for cleaning around your house, instead of paper towels, and wash them to re-use.

18. I stopped reaching for paper towels.  This is a big deal.  It was my greatest home waste: paper towels mindlessly used.  Now, I have a pile of dis towels in the kitchen to use to dry dishes, wipe countertops and clean up messes.  There’s almost never a reason to use a paper towel any more!

19. Some time back I cancelled magazine and newspaper subscriptions and started subscribing online.  You can also ask people who send you catalogues and flyers to stop mailing.

20. I have upgraded the quality of all things I buy now so that they are long-lasting. Avoid purchasing anything that is disposable and opt to buy the more durable version of the item, even if it costs a bit more.  When you see how these products hold up over time (like my 6 year old Vitamix blender that is like brand new) you’ll happy you did.

Simple stuff today, but even one strategy that hits home for you makes an enormous difference— elevating your connection to your days and your care for the planet all at once!!!

There’s so much more to come on this topic, I can’t wait to share it all!!

xoxo!!!

I chopped off about six inches of hair, feeling the spirit of the lightness that’s on the way in the New Year. I’ve also started gifting tons of books to make space for new ideas, cleaning and polishing all the forgotten places in my house, making big lists and organizing drawers… and it all feels so good!

A few months ago I started looking ahead to 2019- from the stars and planets to the colors and energy shifts- and I can’t tell you how long I’ve wanted to share all of this!!!

Whether you’re reading this when I first posted it, or any time along the way of the year, you are tuning into the magic!

So if you’re ready to make a breakthrough, the breakthroughs are always waiting for you, and, in 2019, everywhere you look there’s more confirmation from the Universe to do it now!

The themes of 2019 are light, fresh, full of love and magnetic abundance– literally every positive word you can imagine applies to the year ahead!!!– and it’s all fueled by a deep sense of purpose.

THE 2019 COSMIC THEMES ARE EPIC.

If, indeed, the next four months do set up the foundation for the next 20 years, the overarching idea here is to follow your bliss and live with purpose!

Jupiter in Sagittarius for most of 2019 illuminates life with more ease, more optimism and, some say, way more synchronicity and lucky energy.  I’m a believer that we make our own luck, and this focus on the bright side of things is an extremely powerful luck-maker!

There are Five Eclipses… and the first one is in the first week of the year!   Every one of the eclipses is about releasing what’s not needed and stepping into a more harmonious and powerful place in life.

Saturn is in Capricorn + Uranus is in Taurus— Both are here for most of the year, and both emphasize the deep need for creating a system of organization, or some profound re-organization, in order to allow life to expand.

How can you align your thoughts, words and actions more with your big dreams this year? How can you tune into more optimism and avoid things that drain your energy? How can you get more ORGANIZED?

THE YEAR OF THE EARTH PIG.

The Earth Pig is known in the Chinese Zodiac for bringing more love, joy and fortune to everyone.  Earth energy is fertile, stable and creative.  The Earth Pig is thought to be loyal, passionate about work and a lover of life.

So much more is coming on the Earth Pig year as it gets closer, but to start…

Where can you align your schedule more to have time to pursue your passions?   How can you find more to enjoy in every day… even if every dream hasn’t (yet) come true?

THE COLOR OF THE YEAR IS LIVING CORAL.

Pantone’s color this year is Living Coral— this sweet, warm, cheerful, exuberant color that can add tons of energy to your home, your wardrobe, everywhere. Coral- with it’s mix of pink and orange- brings fire energy to spark change.

Living Coral is more than just a color- it’s a call to action.  The coral reefs need our help and attention to stay alive. The whole planet needs our attention and love.  The more you can simplify your life, live more sustainably and take actions like planting trees, wearing non-toxic sunscreens (*a big issue for the coral reefs) or skipping plastic straws benefits the whole planet and every living being.

You can learn more about feng shui + Living Coral right HERE!

For now, as you get ready for a fresh start—

What simple action/ actions can you take this year live more green, simply and sustainably?!  Not only is this awesome for the planet, these changes create tons of prosperous energy.

WE ARE ENTERING A “3” YEAR IN NUMEROLOGY.

My sister Nicole wrote up the full numerological story of 2019 for us right HERE.

2019 is a “3” year in Numerology, otherwise known as The Joy of Living!

Fun, creating, making, reveling in the beauty of every day…

The key here is the idea of heading out into the world and engaging with life, literally making the magic happen!

Where can you take a more active role in socializing?  Can you take steps to start, or to continue, a creative project that is ready for a boost?

It’s an active year, and, as it’s likely become clear, there are high vibes everywhere you look!

To get yourself energetically ready for the awesomeness of 2019, or to hook up to that energy any time throughout the year when you’re ready for a next level of commitment or a new focus–

GO FOR WHAT YOU REALLY WANT.

You may have no idea how to get what you want, but don’t let that stop you from deciding that you want it!!! Settling is not thrilling. Aim for what makes you feel most alive and thrilled about every day!

FEELING GREAT IS THE BEST PLACE TO START!

If you don’t know what you want to focus on yet in terms of “goals” in the year ahead, let your feelings be your goals. Feeling amazing is the greatest way to multiply your manifesting magic!  That kind of passion for life always prevails.

LIGHTEN UP.

Clearing all your clutter is the grandest way to make a fresh start, but it’s not always possible to clear it all out in one day. Even the tiniest clearing project (a wallet, a purse, a drawer) can get the momentum flowing!   If you’re ready to finally conquer your home & life clutter, you can join us in the Catalyst Camp for just one more day!

FRESH + INTUITIVE PERSPECTIVE.

If you’ve been doing the same things and expecting new results, now is the time to look at life with fresh eyes. This year ahead is all about CREATIVITY.  While there’s creative inspiration everywhere around us, tapping into our own inner guidance is a profound practice!

A journalling practice is a great way to clear your mind and hear your intuition shining through.

I like to free-write a few pages in a notebook, writing down literally anything that comes to mind, whether it makes sense of not.

Once I’m in that flow of Julia Cameron’s Morning Pages, I’ll start asking myself questions in my journal about something I need to solve.

I’ll write out the question(s) I want to solve, then I just start writing, jotting down anything that comes to mind as I attempt to answer the question I just asked.

In mysterious ways, the answers I need often slip through my pen and onto the page. The less I think, the more the ideas and answers come clearly!

CLEAN YOUR HOUSE.  It’s life-changing on so many levels to have a sparkling house!

Your home is a mirror of your life, so when you polish your home, you are making your life more clear. That’s a huge theme for this year.

Use a few drops of essential oil as you clean (*lemon, orange and lavender are favorites) for a dose of brightness.  Add a teaspoon of salt to your cleaning solutions for extra purifying power.  Clean with white vinegar mixed with equal parts of water to help things shine!

Fall in love with housecleaning and it can be a tool for big life transformation, instantly shifting the energy around you!

Enjoy the big wave of love, synchronicity, creative genius, and joy that’s carrying us into a brilliant New Year.

2019, we’re so ready for you!

xoxo Dana

2018 was a lot of things to a lot of people: personal growth, realigning priorities, letting things go, getting ready… and so much more.  Many of you have had an incredible 2018 and many may be firming up the incredible awareness gained from a year of change.

No matter what 2018 has been for you, it’s always a good idea to do a little reflection as we launch into a new cycle, taking stock of all the shifts and gains you may have missed, celebrating what’s not yet been celebrated and honing your focus to launch into a year of JOY!!!

Today, I am excited to share the Numerology of the Universal Year of 3 from my sister Nicole who is a brilliant Numerologist with its of intuitive insight on the energies ahead!

The Universal Year of the 3.

2018 was an 11/2 year.  It contains a combination of two elements – the 2 and the master number 11. In numerology, when numbers add to either 11 or 22, they are not reduced, as we don’t want to overlook these powerful numbers that represent heightened awareness and significant achievements. In the case of the 11/2, we take into consideration the energy of both the 2 and 11.

We are coming out of the 11/2 Universal Year which encompassed the energy of the 2 – patience, cooperation, and relationships, and the 11 – self-discovery, understanding yourself and who you are through the illumination and enlightenment energy of this master number.

As we become enlightened, we make breakthrough realizations that help us to better understand who we are, and as part of this process, we let go of things that no longer represent us.

This year was about balancing and freeing up energy from things that were weighing you down, and shedding ideas, beliefs and relationships that weren’t productive, relatable or an accurate representation of you. This contemplative time–  full of patience, waiting and diplomacy– was important preparation. This was a time to make space for the authenticity of you to shine.

3 Universal Year.

2019 is the 3 Universal Year, is known as the Joy of Living. Depending upon the individual, experiencing joy can involve many different elements, yet at its core, there are a few important energies of significance that can lead the way.
Expression: Develop and hone in on your individuality by expressing it freely.

Self-expression will be very important in the new year, as it will allow you to communicate the truth you discovered in the previous year. This is a time to be true to yourself and honor the uniqueness of you. Take note of your inner dialogue and any looming, residual limiting beliefs you held in the past, and change them to be more constructive and positive.

The 3 carries light and joyous energy. Be kind to yourself and remain true to your personal desires.

The 3 Universal Year is a perfect time for self-promotion, blogging, writing a book and starting a business venture.

Get creative! Whether you enjoy writing, painting, drawing, knitting, sewing or cooking – anything you create will represent you and carry on the expression of your fresh self. Creativity can extend to having inventive ideas or figuring out creative solutions to handle difficult situations.

You can get innovative and create new ways to generate money or figure out creative ways to save money. If you are eco-conscious, you can create a more environmentally friendly home and way of living.

The essence of this energy is sharing your creativity with the world.

It is Fun and Social.  The energy behind the 3 is positive fun; fun that is constructive and conducive to personal growth and development. You can do something you have never done before and break out of your comfort zone. This challenge will not only allow you to actualize your capabilities and potentials, but it will give you a chance to add another amazing growth experience to your life.

The social energy of the 3 opens doors for connection, expression, growth and opportunities.

Say “Yes!” to invites to social gatherings, for it is here that you can make new connections with people and share and express yourself.

Although this is a year of endless opportunities, this is not a year to sit inside and wait for opportunities to come to you.

Happy New Year and have fun finding your own personal joy!

Thank you for sharing all the themes of greatness ahead Nicole!!!

Every day is always full of greatness and infinite potential, but, right now, there’s extra vibes in the skies that are here to stay for almost all of 2019!

The great big planet Jupiter has fully moved into the sign of Sagittarius. It’s a “big” planet. It’s a “big” theme. It’s “big” energy. It’s “big” awesomeness.

Jupiter is most at home in the sign of Sagittarius where it helps everything to shine brighter.

Jupiter acts like a magic wand: everything it touches becomes brighter and bolder, more lucky, more potent and more radiant.

That said, I believe YOU are a magic wand!

This new story in the cosmos can help you to activate your own magic even more so that everything you do becomes even more sparkling, more inspired and more connected to life in meaningful ways that have a big positive impact.

!!!

This Jupiter shift that started yesterday kicks off over a year of incredible cosmic themes:

GROWTH. EXPANSION. UNITY and LOVE. OPTIMISM. ABUNDANCE.

I’m always sharing these themes, but, today, it’s incredibly fun to note that the cosmic forces are ever-more on our side through all of 2019 as we create greatness every day!

If you haven’t felt the change yet, it’s coming! This vibrant energy is thought to expand in power as we move into  the New Year.

Today’s big feng shui shifts can help you to harness all this prosperous, expansive, fun energy flowing in!!!

Yes, it is!

“Something amazing is going to happen today!”

Say it. Feel it. Know it. Let it sink in.

You may have heard me say this before, but it’s a favorite practice of mine to say this (whether silently or out loud!) even before I take a single step out of bed in the morning.

“Something amazing is going to happen today!”

Once I say it a few times, I get into the spirit of expecting greatness.

Even science has shown that we get much more of what we expect.

In my experience, you’ll see the results of these positive expectations pop up every day as synchronicity, genius ideas, amazing happenings and so much more that feels great.

Stay grounded.

Rooting into the day can keep you present, sparkling and unified with everyone around you.

Grounding is always great to do outside with your bare feet planted on the earth or while sitting with your back rested up against a tree absorbing all of that deeply rooted wisdom… but, in the Winter, that isn’t always as easy to do!

If you can’t get grounded outside, bring more Earth inside.

Collect pine cones, collect rocks. You can bring more crystals, clay pots and ceramics inside.

Also, as a simple practice, you can do a few minute deep-breathing exercise where you imagine that you can breathe through your feet and connect to the core of the Earth.

  • Imagine that as you inhale deeply that you’re allowing energy of your favorite color to flow up from the core of the Earth through your feet and into your body.
  • Let that colorful energy swirl through your body and, then, when you exhale send that energy back down into the Earth through your feet again.
  • Inhale again and bring in that beautiful Earth energy. Then exhale and send it back to the Earth with gratitude.

You can repeat this until you feel more settled and grounded. I do it several times a day when I’m in a big whirlwind of activity and it always helps me to feel sharper and more present!

Favorite colors.

While there’s tons in feng shui about intentional colors and the power of colors to create life-shifts, everything starts with what you love.

Our favorite colors fuel us. They connect us to our favorite feelings. They bring in universally amazing energy.

Do you see your favorite colors around you? Do you wear them?

Whether it’s a throw blanket, curtains, a shirt or anything else in your favorite colors, bring them in and watch the energy shine around you…!

Embrace Peace and Elevate Life.

See if there’s a choice you can make to keep the peace without compromising your voice and your truth.

Keep your energy high and stay rooted in LOVE.

Get more sleep and really de-compress every day.

See if you can surround yourself with more softness (plush pillows, soft sweaters and the like) as it helps to create more welcome and more of a sense of receptivity. Soft is the most magnetic of energy, so it’s great for bringing in more prosperity, too!

Living more green and eco-friendly is the ultimate connection we can make with our ultimate manifesting-magic power source— the planet!

Clear space for all the expansion ahead!!!

Whether you need more space in your schedule, in your mind, in your heart or in your closets… all that clear space can help you to grow exponentially.

Releasing what isn’t serving us opens so many doors to all that magic of the year ahead.

There are so many ways I’ve been shifting my home and life to get ready for a big fresh start:

Space clearing. Whether it’s opening windows, mopping floors or burning sage, it is powerful.

Organizing. For me, it was a new storage dresser DIY project in the bathroom that changed my days for the better. For you it may be a cleared-off desk top or new files (real paper ones or computer files) that make it easier to navigate your days.

Letting things go. Forgiveness. Donations. Journalling out my thoughts to clear my mind. Gifting things I don’t need to people who do need them.

All of it, as simple as it may seem, can signal the start of a bigger positive life revolution than you may have ever anticipated.

GROWTH. EXPANSION. UNITY and LOVE. OPTIMISM. ABUNDANCE.

Here’s to multiplying your manifesting magic while making the most of every day!

xoxo!!!

Your intention is ultra-powerful.

It’s your energy focused on what is wanted.  It’s an energizing commitment to that focus and flow. It’s incredibly rewarding.

If you’ve focused your intention on something and it’s not moving at all, I know the feeling.

It’s discouraging, it can make you feel like you’re broken where intention is concerned or maybe you’re not lucky or blessed enough.

You are none of the above.  This is the best starting place for today.  You aren’t broken, unlucky or unblessed.

You are amazing!!!!

After spending a year in the depths of strengthening my own intention and getting re-focused in a way that’s taken my days to a whole new realm of energy and flow, purpose and effectiveness, and then committing to stay the course because it’s a practice— albeit a fun one—  here are five things that may help you to live with more powerful and impactful intention!

(@theflowerchildbruja)

Supercharge your intentional magic-making…!!!

1. We are all connected.    While intention is taught primarily as a self-motivated, self-focused endeavors and while there’s nothing wrong with intention for yourself (it is vital!!!) there is incredible power in recognizing that this is not just about US.

It’s about all of us, together.

Once I was out of a crisis state, It wasn’t enough to just focus on myself. Over the years, I couldn’t hold an intention “solely” for myself that was strong enough to make big leaps ahead in life.  Things were good but they were not matching the amount of energy and high vibes and attention I was brining into my life.

I started shifting my focus.  I wanted more meaning.  I wanted something that felt more worthwhile.

I moved a lot of my intention from  “I want this for me.” to “I want this for me so that I can contribute more to the world, to my family, to my community, the environment…”

I meant it.  It excited me.  It strengthened my purpose.

I still have intentions just for me, but these bigger aims have been my momentum-builder.

2. Intention works powerfully in groups, even groups of a few.

I started groups 5 years ago that I thought would be the best way to share all the feng shui with lots of people at once, a way to get this work out into the hands of people who wanted tools and practice. The Feng Shui Camps.  I thought it would be a great way to have people work on their homes on their own. What I didn’t realize was that the power of the group would be an X-factor, this next-level way that, together, everyone would rise in the ways they’d intended.

Five years later, I, personally, can’t imagine my own life without these groups. They are the heart of my own life-changes and the core of how this work has evolved over the last five years.

These groups are pure magic.  And it wasn’t the magic created by me— everyone came together to crate the magic.

Find a friend you trust and send intention to one another.  Join a group where you can send intention to one another.  This is really potent stuff.

If you read the book The Power of Eight by Lynne McTaggart you’ll see that this idea (unknown to me at the time) of groups holding intention for one another is a massive form of intentional miracle-making.

3. Your home mirrors your intention.

This is what feng shui in my way is all about— your intention becoming more clear and strong and resonant in your space.  Your home is a representation of the people who live there.  When it becomes more intentional, life can change dramatically.

Here is the simplest place to start with feng shui if you’ve never done it before:

Start To Feng Shui Your Home Right Now! - YouTube

And, for a few more days you can sign on right now to do free feng shui decluttering videos that are an introduction to the New Year Catalyst Camp of home and life de-cluttering right HERE!

4. If it’s forced, it’s not as intentional.

When you’re forcing things, you’re moving against the current.  Instead of forcing things, you can change the current and get in the flow.

Lots of us are raised to believe that force and struggle are a picture of success.  That is not a sustainable model of life.  It actually shuts down the flow of energy.  It makes things feel stuck.  It isn’t what you need and no one really loves stress, do they?!

5. Give and Receive.

If you’ve been in a place whereto really need help, ASK for intention from people you trust.  Ask them to send you well-wishes, prayers, meditation, or simply to think of a situation for you as being resolved for a few minutes, even just once, and see the shift.  GIVE intention to others, even if you feel like you need to focus on you, for as you hold that picture of helping others in your mind, even for a few minutes, it can change everything.

There’s 100% nothing wrong with putting your attention on you.  But, also, staying linked to the larger, the collective of US as a big WE of humans, we are so much more profoundly and awesomely powerful.

Synergy.  Momentum.  Creativity. Humanity.  Manifesting Magic.

Here’s to all incredible things that are in the making right now!!!

xoxoxo

(Mariannan)

Nothing beats a soft blanket when it comes to raising the energy in my home.  All softness raises the energy in my home.

More softness can be epic for helping you feel at home, and that feeling of home is powerful.

(via)

Hygge is really powerful.  It’s the Danish art of cozy, warm, comfy, comforting and connected living.

While it’s usually thought of as a great strategy to take away the Fall and Winter chill, I use softness year round to make every day feel more receptive, open-hearted and creative.

Plush blankets in all but the hottest part of summer are the key for me.  They travel from my office to my sofa to my bed without fail.  They instantly change a room.  They are luscious and inviting.  When it’s warmer, I’m not wrapped in them with the dogs.  When its colder, I am immersed in them, and so are the fur kids.

Why is this softness such a high vibe addition to a home?

Hygge. It actually helps you to declutter your life.  It’s such a connected way to live and it feels so fantastic.

Hygge For Happiness! - YouTube

Welcome.

Softness is welcoming.  You see a hard bench and you aren’t as thrilled to sit as when you see a big soft sofa.  It’s an instinct.  We “see” textures and “feel” them even before we experience them.  Soft is welcoming.

Yin.

Yin is receptive energy.  It’s the meditative, deep breaths, open arms energy that feels like a big hug.

Fun in its flexibility.

You can move blankets, pillows, soft baskets, tapestries…

With softness you can restyle your space easily.

Warm.

A sense of closeness and warmth is super-important.  A blanket can be the ultimate in the warm cozy.

Whether you have faux fur (a favorite in my house) or chunky knit (the dogs get stuck in it, but epic if you don’t have fur kids), lush quilts like kantha or cashmere throws, all of this draping softness creates more ease.

You can sink into life more.

You can sink into your thoughts more.

You can feel more grounded and connected.

All of this is tremendous for happiness and high vibes, all year round.

xoxo!!!
