My blog is a newborn photography blog and I have always loved capturing memories through photography. Having treasured images of your family's beautiful moments is an investment of time, energy and love that you will never regret.
It was so lovely to meet sweet little James at home with his mom and dad last week. He certainly is a little peanut but that is to be expected, considering his early arrival into the world was a bit of a surprise to everyone. I had just been with Casilynn and Eric a few weeks earlier for their maternity session when I learned that Casilynn went into labor and their little guy had arrived safely into the world but had to spend some time in the NICU before he was ready to go home. When I got to meet him a few weeks later, which was still prior to his due date, he was pretty tiny, but as sweet and “cooperative” as a newborn can be, sleeping through his entire session and making my job a cinch. Isn’t he simply precious? He has that sweet little chin dimple like his gorgeous mama and was showing off his darling little newborn “smiles.” It was as though he knew he was being photographed and was showing off for the camera! Casilynn and Eric–congratulations on your beautiful boy. I know you’ll enjoy every waking minute with him. <3
I so enjoyed catching up with this beautiful, glowing mama and photographing her with her precious babies. I last saw Lisa when she welcomed Everett into the world and now Everett is the absolute sweetest big brother! Little AnneMarie is absolutely beautiful like her mama and adored by her big brother. Lisa, it was so lovely to see you again. I hope you can treasure these fleeting moments with your darling babes. It goes faster than you could ever imagine. XOXO <3 <3
Last week I got to meet this little sweetie pie and his beautiful family at their Waterford home. The little guy slept through almost the entire session while the sweet family fur baby watched over him. I always love capturing mom and baby in the nursery and Michele was a glowing and relaxed mama, making the motherhood thing look easy peasy the second time around. The sweetest moments of the morning were most certainly with Calvin and his big brother, smiling over him and giving him little kisses on the cheeks. With the promise of an M&M, this active and adorable two-year old did not disappoint! He was a rock star, as was his baby brother. Michele and Chad, it was lovely to meet you and your darling boys. I hope you treasure these images and I hope to see you again one day as your boys grow. Enjoy every moment — it sure goes fast!
Precious little Libby was about a month old when I finally got to meet her last weekend on a snowy Saturday morning. She has beautiful big blue eyes and the sweetest baby lips and she is absolutely adored by her mama, daddy, and big brother alike. It was darling to see how at just two and a half, sweet Avi was so gentle with her and so proud of his new status as “big” brother. Carlie and Aaron, it was so great to see you again and to meet your beautiful baby girl. I am so happy for you and hope to see you again as your two little sweetie pies grow!
How darling is this sweet baby boy who I was blessed to photograph at his home when he was about one month old?! His sweet mama and daddy are dear friends so I was honored when they asked me to photograph them together as a family. They were just finishing up a complete renovation of their house, making this an extra special time to capture them at home. Little Hunter couldn’t be more adorable with that beautiful head of hair and the sweetest little lips. Can you tell I love babies?
So, I truly believe that God puts people in our lives for a reason and we may not always learn the reason but he sends us little “reminders” along the way that we are all connected for a purpose. During this session, with this beautiful family, I got one of those reminders. Glenn and Jenna live just a few blocks away from where Mark grew up. This came up in conversation so Glenn, asked which house, specifically was Mark’s. I wasn’t sure of the exact address, so began to describe the house based on its color, size and proximity to the cross streets….and suddenly Glenn began to finish my sentence as he proceeded to say, “We own that house.” Goosebumps instantly covered my skin. My dear friends own the house that my husband grew up in; The one that he used to drive by and point out to me and the kids every single time we were in the area; The home which housed so many memories from his childhood, relayed to us through tears from giggling so hard as he’d recall shenanigans with his brother in that house. “We own that house.” The words left his lips and landed on my heart. I don’t really know how to describe the feeling other than to say I felt a hug from heaven in that moment. God and Mark were letting me know that I am connected to Glenn and Jenna for a reason. And they are literally two of the kindest people I know, so I feel pretty blessed to know them. Glenn and Jenna, I couldn’t be happier to see you two so happy in your new home with your sweet little boy in your arms. Hunter is absolutely perfect and I feel blessed to have been able to document this special time in your lives. Enjoy every minute with your sweet boy. Sending you a big, huge hug and lots of love today and always. <3
I had the absolute best time catching up with this lovely family earlier this month. I hadn’t seen them since sweet Ava was born, almost three years ago, so it was truly fun to see how much Ava has grown and to meet their beautiful new baby girl, Ella. And lucky me, I got to hang with darling Ava while little Ella was eating…and wow does she have a personality that will just melt. your. heart. In our short time together she had all sorts of nicknames for me, including “honey” and “sweetie” and “Miss camera lady,” and I enjoyed every minute of her sweet little ways. Meanwhile, Miss Ella hung out in her crib and in her mama and daddy’s arms looking pretty darn adorable herself. However, the two sweet girls together might just have to be my favorite. Juliann and Matt, it was so great to see you again. Congrats on your newest joy! I am so happy to have seen you again and documented this special time for you as a family. I hope to see you again as your family grows. Best wishes and Merry Christmas!
It was a true delight for me to photograph darling Norah and her parents in their home earlier this month. Norah’s daddy, Mike, is a dear friend going back more than 20 years. We met in college and studied abroad in Spain together, which was the start of a lifelong friendship, spanning three decades and remaining steadfast through the many ups and downs that life has bestowed upon us individually. I was thrilled for my dear friend when he fell in love with Ren, who is truly one of the sweetest people I have ever known. Now, I consider myself truly blessed to add her to my list of dear friends. I am beyond honored to have had the opportunity to document this incredibly special time in their lives after they welcomed their newest joy to the world, sweet Norah Maxine. Mike and Ren, I hope you love these images as much as I loved creating them. Thank you for your friendship, love and support. I feel so blessed to have you three as part of my circle. <3 <3
I met this sweet little guy and his family at the studio last month. He was completely content both asleep and while he was wide awake…so we got some absolutely precious photos with his eyes wide open, which isn’t always the norm at a newborn portrait session. See for yourself. This little guy couldn’t be sweeter.
I LOVED seeing this sweet family again and meeting their newest addition, sweet little Paige. Big sis, Abigail, who I photographed as a newborn and again in honor of her first birthday, was so sweet and gentle with her new baby sister. It was absolutely precious to witness! Patti and Paul, it was so wonderful to see you all again and meet your darling new baby. I couldn’t be happier for you!
It was such a joy to photograph precious Clare at home with her family and to see darling Kate, as such a gentle, sweet big sister. I had the most difficult time selecting pictures to share here because there were so many that simply melted my heart. Dave and Heather, I couldn’t be happier for you. Your family is beautiful!
