Los Angeles based artist, producer and songwriter Mako just released a new indie-infused single “Coyote,” on Ultra Music. “Coyote” is unlike any other music the producer has put out – the soulful textured piece tells a somber story, as Alex Seaver lets his musical prowess show through with a complex guitar-driven melody and passionate basslines.

Released with a companion animated video, “Coyote” is a hauntingly beautiful track that unfolds like a Pandora’s box of sound. Layered with dissonant guitars, Seaver’s digitally warped vocals, organic electronic elements and tripped-out drum patterns, “Coyote” weaves in and out of driving yet minimalistic rhythms, cinematic orchestral instrumentation and atypical arrangements and time signatures rarely heard in electronic- and pop-based music.

At times, the muted bass borders on IDM, the synths flirt with experimental electronica and the ethereal keyboards edge toward ambient territory, creating a soundscape that’s dark, chaotic and stunning all at once and ultimately impossible to categorize. That is a deliberate move on Seaver’s part. Check out the single below and let us know what you think!

Florian Picasso’s diversity continues to impress with his fierce new single Raspoutine for the mighty Doorn Records.

A teasing filtered intro gives a sense of what’s to come, with the drums and synths hidden under murky layers of EQing. The track properly explodes into life as the full frequency range is revealed, with deft synth arpeggios bubbling away over driving bass and taut techy beats. Harking back to the classic tech-trance sound that label boss Sander Van Doorn helped to define in the ‘90s, it has plenty of groove and playfulness among its atmospherics.

The track drops down into a stripped-back arrangement where sweet vocal synths blend with delicious gated trance riff that will set pulses raising and hairs standing up on necks of any dancefloor its played on. It’s just another tease though, with this beautiful riff pulled back into the ether as the build-up drives us back towards the chunky groove.

Raspoutine is Florian Picasso’s first single of the year, it’s been well worth the wait and continues his dedication to quality, not quantity and this for sure proves that the best is yet to come. You can check out the single below!

There’s little Markus Schulz likes more than a challenge and little the musicmaker, DJ & of-late songwriter likes less than a comfort zone! In keeping, for his next single he’s connected with a vocalist far removed from the electronic music quarter. Originally seeing the light on ‘We Are The Light’ – Markus’s fall-2018-released LP, ‘The Dreamers’ is a production that finds Schulz establishing an alchemic connection with singer/songwriter Smiley.

Bringing fresh house & trance takes from Paul Damixie & Schulz himself, alongside a premiering-today reality-escaping official video,‘The Dreamers’ is a flyaway classic-in-the-making for the committedly carefree!

For ‘The Dreamers’ single package, Markus brings a suite of new interpretations. On his Extended Mix, he gathers all the elements that ignited the album version and takes them to their natural conclusion. Smiley’s longing verses assume an even more reflective tone, while the Romanian’s elevating chorus – backed by Markus’s strummed, acoustically-flecked guitars and rousing key changes, stamp it ‘S’ for Summer. You can check out both versions below!
