romper | sandals | earrings | bag | Amazon version of the bag | necklace | sunglasses | Amazon version of these sunglasses

It’s romper season, the time of year and piece of clothing I always look forward to!

I recently found this Anthropologie romper that has a vintage vibe and is long enough for most of you taller girls, as well! It’s so classy and can truly be worn for so many occasions! {I am wearing a size small, for reference.}

I also had to share that I found a very similar pair of these sunglasses on Amazon this week for just $12! The Karen Walker pair I am wearing here are some of my most-asked about sunglasses ever. I have had them for over three years and they are my all-time-favs. I paid over $250 for this pair, so finding a similar pair with great reviews for just $12 feels amazing. I can’t wait to get my Amazon pair in…I ordered earlier this week!

Last but not least, you may have noticed this delicate little necklace I am wearing in this post and wear almost daily. It’s the best! It’s by Trim & Tailor and is 20% off with code EDITBYL20, making it under $35!

Sorry I have been slack on the blog lately…traveling to Florida last week and the end-of-the-school-year crazies have made life more hectic than normal! I have a new website launching very soon and lots of fun summer content coming, including what I just wore at the Four Seasons Orlando, so stay tuned.

In the mean time, make sure you are following me over on Instagram and Instastories @laurenlefevre for daily updates!

Stylishly yours,

top | shorts | tote | wedges | earrings | sunglasses | hat | bandana

White on white is a classic summer look and an easy look to recreate. I love that you can change up a white on white look easily with different textures and accessories, and have the option of keeping the entire look neutral or adding in pops of color!

The easiest way to create a white on white is to start with a white bottom :: either white jeans/ pants or white shorts. {The pair I am wearing here is a new purchase from Anthropologie that I am loving. Stretchy, comfy and a great length that can be adjusted shorter or longer.}

When you add a top, think a different texture. A textured shirt, sweater or blouse will always look better than a plan white tee. Or, if you add a white tee or tank, simply layer with a white/off white jacket, cardigan or flowy sweater. Layers and textures help make any white on white look more interesting! This textured top with pom sleeves from Anthro is such a great one, and also comes in a pretty coral.

I love adding statement shoes or accessories like a leopard shoe or a pop color earring or handbag to a white on white look, to let the fun accessory really shine! These textured Sole Society wedges add texture to any outfit while still playing a neutral, which is perfect when adding a bold bag or jewelry piece. This $59 tote is roomy and can be worn from shopping to the pool!

Last but not least, adding a hair tie or bandana is another great way to incorporate color into an outfit. I am loving Anthropologie’s selection of bandanas that look equally cute tied in the hair, around the neck or even on the handle of a tote or purse!

Happy Monday, friends!

Stylishly yours,

rockers | rocker cushions | side table | rug | pillows | wreath | planter | planter filler | doormat

Patio season is in full swing and I am excited to team up with Grandin Road to share our new front porch decor with you all today! {In case you missed our back patio post from last week, you can find it here.}

Our craftsman-style home has a two-story front porch that welcomes lots of rocking chairs. I have literally been on the hunt for the "perfect” rocking chair since we bought this home years ago, and finally found them! These Nantucket rockers from Grandin Road are hands-down the best style and comfort you can find for the price! I love that they are oversized, easily wipeable and come in over 10 color choices. {These are the Castle Grey color.} I highly recommend pairing with these comfy seat cushions.} These rockers are 20% off today!

Can we discuss these gorgeous, bold-patterned pillows?! Grandin Road has the best quality & affordable outdoor pillow selection I have seen. I couldn’t be more obsessed with these patterns and colors and how they play off each other for a cheery, whimsical look. The pillows are comfortable, a great size and truly wonderful quality for the price!

Grandin Road also has an awesome selection of affordable outdoor rugs. I love the colors in this one, and am really enjoying the cozy vibes that it brings to our front porch space. It really is the finishing touch!

The Nantucket side table is the perfect compliment to the Nantucket Rocking Chairs. We added one of these tables to both our bottom and top porches to provide a spot to sit beverages and showcase flowers.

Grandin Road has a fabulous selection of wreaths, doormats and faux greenery. This is the first time I have incorporated faux greenery into my outdoor decor, and am so impressed with how well this soft vince urn filler and wreath blend with my real ferns and flowers. They blend perfectly and I love that I have one less planter to water!

Stylishly yours,

Happy Weekend, friends! My plan was to get this post up yesterday {on Friday}, but I decided to trade in computer work to enjoy a walk with a friend followed by a few hours of tennis since it was such a perfectly gorgeous day!

Since I believe it’s always better late than never, here are five outfits I am loving this week ::

Found the best jeans possibly EVER while shopping at the Evereve store in Indy. I wore them to travel home from Indy and have worn them nearly every day since I have been back! {Just be sure to size up for the perfect fit. I am SO glad the store associates told me this!}

Speaking of shopping at Evereve, it was SO fun to get to shop in a brick and mortar Evereve store, since we don’t have on in Atlanta. This is the outfit I wore for a girl’s day around Indy. I absolutely love this breezy tunic top! It runs generous, and I am wearing an XS.

rug | sofa | loveseat | chairs | fire table | side round side table | pentagon side table | tray | pillows | throw blanket

Patio weather is finally here! I am typing this post on literally the most gorgeous, perfect weather day yet of 2019, so it only feels appropriate to share our patio reveal with Frontgate with you all now!

Frontgate is known for their stunning high-quality outdoor furniture accessories. After stalking Frontgate’s outdoor collection online and in catalogs for years, and dreaming of my own Frontgate outdoor space, I now understand what the fuss is all about.

Every Frontgate element is literally the most quality outdoor piece I have ever seen and touched. The styling, craftsmanship and detailing on everything from our new patio furniture to the outdoor pillows and rug to the fire table and serving accessories is simply amazing.

For furniture, I chose to mix wicker and teak, and love the look of the two textures together! This Small Vista wicker set is perfect for patios and smaller spaces. These teak Kitts lounge chairs are crazy comfortable, even for bigger guys to relax on!

My husband pushed for a fire table and, admittedly, I wasn’t sure if I would love the look. Well, I was definitely wrong, and couldn’t be happier with this addition to the space! This table is truly as stunning as it is functional. We set up our new patio last week and have already entertained around this amazing fire table multiple times! I love that the fire provides warmth and creates an inviting, cozy ambiance, and that the table also offers ample space to serve good and drink.

I have been receiving lots of questions from my Instastories about how to store the propane tank for the fire table. You can either purchase a small tank that fits under the table, or utilize one of these cool, multi-functional side tables by Frontgate that hides the tank. One of these side tables is on its way and I will be sure to share it when it arrives!

As far as color scheme, I decided to carry our interior color-scheme of lots of blues into this outdoor space. I first choose this rug, which I couldn’t love more, and then selected pillows to pair with it. {Shoe details here.}

Frontgate has the most amazing pillow selection, allowing you to select from dozens of fabrics and pillow sizes! I enjoyed mixing several textures and patterns, and am so happy with the way it turned out. They all complement each other in a fun, cheery way!

Last but not least, Frontgate offers a wonderful array of entertaining and dining accessories. This oversized tray is the perfect component to this fire table, and I love these acrylic cups that coordinate and are practical. We strung these lights above the patio and I love the glow they give at night. These vases are gorgeous for entertaining outdoors and will also be perfect in my inside dining area. I love that most of these accessories can work indoors or outdoors!

Head over to my Instastories highlights in my profile @laurenlefevre for more details and videos of this space.

I cannot more highly recommend Frontgate for all your outdoor design needs this Spring! If you shop and style your outdoor space with Frontgate, please snag a pic and send to me! I would love to share your Frontgate-inspired design and decor over on Instagram.

Happy Patio Season!

Stylishly yours,

If you follow me on Instastories, you know how much I LOVE my two commission paintings by my talented artist friend, Aaron Harris.

I get questions all the time about how the commission process works, so I “interviewed” Aaron to give you all a better idea on how it all happens…

Before diving into the interview, a little overview :: Aaron created two custom commissions for our home this past Fall, named after my twins, Jack & Lily. These paintings were inspired by our home decor as well as the feminine and masculine attributes of our twins. I love that they are both unique but could also be displayed in the same room in the future. Each piece contains a golden letter {an L and a J}, which makes them extra personal!

What are three fun & ittle known facts about you ::

1. I grew up on a miniature horse farm.

2. I am an attorney and do estate planning and corporate law.

3. I wrote a book called "Love as an Artform: 30 Days to Deeper Love.”

How long have you been creating art?

Most of my life… but more seriously and professionally since 2002 and more full time since 2010.

What inspires your art?

My art is inspired by questions.  I am a very curious and interested person - so I love to use art to delve into ideas and concepts and learn.  Most of my art is an attempt to either present a question for the viewer or to answer a question for myself.  I look at my art as a conversation and like to think of it as a way of connecting with others.

What is the typical process of creating a commission?

The process is rather simple really.  I start by working with a client to figure out what they are needing and wanting.  We start by considering the space they have for a piece and the sizes that could work in the space. We then discuss the image they are thinking of or any inspiration they have or a piece of mine they have seen and like.  After getting these basic foundational details roughly laid out we will discuss what their budget is for the piece and I work with them to come up with a price that works for both of us and the details of the piece that can work based on the final budget (i.e, final size, substrate, complexity, etc.).  During this process I also work to find out the message they hope this piece portrays in their space or the intention or feeling they hope the piece has in the space.  We discuss more details about what they would like to see in the piece (images, materials, colors, subject matter, etc.).  We also discuss what they don't like, such as colors, styles, etc.  Then we set up a timeline for the completion of the piece and we request payment to get started on the piece.  Then I begin working and complete the piece within the timeline.

Tell us about the process of the layers for The Jack and The Lily commissions? What are they made out of?

For both the pieces, the Jack and the Lily, I worked in a layers of resin, acrylic paint, watercolor, inks, pen and pencil, gold leaf, gold foil tape, charcoal and lead.  The image starts off with abstracted layers of bold colors to be the underpainting (this makes the final subdued image more interesting as you look through the layers to see more complexity and intensity underneath everything).  I then work up layers of tinted resin to begin obscuring the more stark under painting.  Between each layer I paint more details and draw/write in elements of the message we were trying to portray with each piece.  In this instance, I worked to describe and portray elements of each of your twins and their personalities.  Then as we are nearing completion of the pieces I do more full pours of white tinted resin to cover the entire piece and give it a final finished look.

What is the typical cost of your art? Can you work with a budget?

This is a hard question to answer as it really depends on a lot of things.  Things like the size, the complexity, the materials, whether it is an original or a print, etc.  But a range of costs for commissioned pieces typically range between $1,500 - $5,000.  Prints can range from $30 upwards of $500+.

However, I definitely can work with a budget and I generally try to find a way to make something work with most people and their budget.  I do this because I really enjoy working with people to help use art to tell a story for their space.

What is typical turn-around time?

This can vary greatly as well, depending on needs of the client, my schedule, previous commitments for other commissions, etc.  However, I generally have flexibility to meet tighter deadlines if at all possible.  I work really fast compared to most artists but I still like to give myself a minimum of 2/3 weeks but generally the turn around schedule we use is about one month.

Can you ship?

Yes.  I can ship pieces - however the larger and heavier a piece is the most expensive shipping can be.  But there are ways to deliver most pieces without getting too expensive.

Prints of the Jack and the Lily are available for order here, and you can contact Aaron for questions and/or to inquire about a custom commission here.

Working with Aaron is a complete joy. I cannot recommend him as a person or artist more highly enough. Our commissions are one of my favorite talking points in our home, and pieces I know our entire family will cherish forever!

Stylishly yours,

Any post that involves coordinating Mommy & Me looks gets me extra excited, and today’s post with Brahmin handbags couldn’t come at better timing for Mother’s Day!

Brahmin just launched a “Mom & Mini Shop” this week. These bags are simply the cutest, and available in several colors and styles!

I wish I had captured Lily’s face on camera when she opened this bag, her first Brahmin purse, complete with its own dust bag. She literally squealed with excitement! Her adorable mini bag also has a detachable cross-body strap that is adjustable for different heights.

I love how sturdy and well-made each of these Brahmin bags are. The craftsmanship and leather are simply gorgeous. Lily and I both adore this “mermaid” shade of blue that is so versatile for Spring/Summer. As a mom, I appreciate that this beautiful bag will be able to “grow up” with Lily and be worn and enjoyed for years to come!

I can’t think of a more fun way to treat yourself and your daughter…or a special mom/daughter duo in your life…this Mother’s Day than with the gift of matching Brahmin bags! All Brahmin bags ship free and ship out the same day that the order is placed, making Mother’s Day delivery a breeze.

Check out the full Mom & Mini collection here. Here are a few of my favorites ::

We hit the ground running after Spring Break, and I intended to get this post up last week. Many of you have been asking for a round-up of my favorite suits and swim-looks from Spring Break, so here they are! Better late than never, right?!

This $14 Amazon swimsuit from Amazon is all sorts of goodness for the price! It’s flattering and comes in several colors. I am wearing a small. I also am loving this kimono paired with shorts or jeans, as well as a swim coverup! It comes in 10 colors!!

If you are looking for a sun hat, this one is my fav. You will be able to tell because it’s the only hat I even packed for the trip and I am wearing it in every pic! I am wearing a size medium.

#MOMSQUAD

I had the honor of “Spring-Breaking” with these four lovely mamas and we had the best time with our hubbies and 14 kiddos {plus one on the way!}. Shop all our suits via Amazon here.

This $22 Amazon suit has been a favorite of so many of you who follow me on Instagram. I have received countless messages from y’all telling me how flattering you also find this suit to be. It reminds me of a Trina Turk suit for a fraction of the price. I am wearing a small.

Another Amazon suit for the win! This tropical one-shoulder suit is so fun for any vacation, and also comes in black.

Trina Turk is hands-down my favorite swim-suit designer and this one is my newest to add for the season. The back detailing is gorgeous, too! It’s currently 25% off. I am wearing a size 4.

I didn’t take many outfit pics on this trip since I was trying to unplug as much as possible. But I wore this dress/romper to dinner one night and it’s one of my all time favs. It comes in several colors and has a romper underneath. I am wearing a size 4.

Stylishly yours,
