This was a flatlay I did soooooo long ago!!! And this was a post scheduled to come out almost 2 years ago, but well, life happened and I got super busy over lots of things. I finished university, went back to Japanese language school, took on a job, subsequently left said job, and 10000 other things.
This post is really just for me to have as a remembrance or like some sort of chronicle in this blog about this time I got the Althea Line Friends box. I love Line Friends so much that when Missha did one, I was scrambling to find the reputable sellers that were stocking the collection. I was so happy that Althea did because I was confident that my order would be safe, compared to if I had ordered from another website and needed to go to the post office. This has long been sold out at Althea, more so that even Missha Korea has already ended this collaboration quite some time ago...
Can you believe it? Jergens lotions have been in existence for 100 years!!! I remember that when I was a little girl, Jergens had already been there for a really long time. All the grown ups were using Jergens, and the grown ups' mommies were also using Jergens. Well basically that's how it played out in my mind hahaha.
Time flies so fast and Jergens moisturizers have already been in existence for a hundred years, meaning women around the world have had glowing skin for already 100 years! Interestingly, Jergens started out as Andrew Jergens soap factory in 1882, later on venturing into lotions, cleansers, and other toiletries. The brand entered the Philippine market in 1967 when it made Vibelle Manufacturing Corporation its Philippine manufacturer and distributor. So in the Philippine perspective, much is to be celebrated as well, as Jergens has been in the Philippines for 51 years already!
Lazada Live videos are always so fun to do!!! After doing this second one, I'm now heavily considering a career in home TV shopping hahaha... This time, I did a live with Genzel.
I did take some BTS footage of what goes on during a Lazada Live, but the vlog has yet to be edited! So I wanna share first the live video we did to feature Maybelline Super Stay Matte Ink Unnudes! Superstay Matte Ink is a reaaally good product line of Maybelline that it can easily be put to a live test, all because there are no camera tricks needed to make the good points of the product shine through. For one, it's so long lasting that even when Genzel and I had coffee, a sandwich, a doughnut, and noodles, the product still stayed put! Even when we were talking like crazy, it also stayed put. When I got home, I didn't take it off. I then filmed two short dance videos, attended mass, had dinner, attended our priests' farewell party, and even after that my lipstick was still there! It's crazy.
And I also just wanna share some photos we took with L'Oréal managers and Rap (the broadcast technician at Lazada) after the live. It's always so fun because we're always just laughing. Even behind the scenes, there's a lot of joking going on. And there are also a lot of whispers on what Maybelline will do next. The future is exciting for Maybelline!!!
Till the next live!!!

I haven't blogged about a food adventure in a looooong time!!! Weeeeell, I got busy and stressed from a lot of things I needed to do. The stress triggered my hereditary cholesterol to manifest very early, and then I had to curb all my food indulgences and watch over my diet.
But for this blog post, even in a rare occasion, I'll be talking about mom and I's short visit to Papa Kim's bakery! Well, y'all know mom is shy, so she has no photo here. But we went together to explore the place.
What happens when Vice and fashion designer BFF Bang Pineda do a collection? Well, it's as fantastic as we think it will be. One big factor into all of this is that Bang is Vice's longtime stylist, so he's someone who really has a very similar sense of aesthetic as Vice. Out of all the fabulous friends Vice has, it takes someone like Bang, who has the same grungy, spunky style as Vice, to pull off a cohesive collaboration.
Attending this event definitely had me see my past self. I know I've talked about it here and there that I used to be a chemistry major in college, before shifting to management. In my time at the chemistry department, I did see the struggles of women in the industry. As far as UP Chem is concerned, there was definitely no sexism, and the community was fair. Some science departments actually even had more female scientists in them. But there were plenty of sacrifices made by the female scientists. Some ended up not marrying altogether to pursue their careers. We had this professor who brought her baby to school. And for a lot of those who had children, they did feel some guilt that their intensive careers ate away at their family time throughout the years.
With all these sacrifices and hardships of women in science, they ought to be recognized, appreciated, and supported in their endeavors. This is exactly what L'Oréal's For Women In Science initiative is all about. This is their partnership with UNESCO since 1988, and the program has helped more than 2,700 women across 115 countries and awarded grants to 97 Laureates.
I'm sure anyone of you who isn't living in a cave by now knows how much people are raving over Kris Aquino's collaboration collection with Ever Bilena. But for those who are wondering about how it's like to attend a product launch of products by the Queen of Media herself, then maybe this is the right post.
If I remember correctly, there was probably about more than an hour, or even two hours of talk, from madam (Yes, it's what I call Kris coz my friends work for her and they all call her madam and I absorbed it as well). But well, it didn't even feel like it. Normally, we bloggers would be bored to death after 20-30 minutes of a program, but somehow, a lot of us didn't even notice that an hour had already passed by quickly. Such is the talent of madam.
Say hello to Careline Kiss Sticks! And more importantly, say hi to Andrea Brillantes' first official TV commercial! I haven't seen this ad on TV yet, but I hope I get to see it sometime soon as the TVC is just so cool!
So many exciting things to look forward to at Club Clio as of late! For one, as this flatlay shows, their Rouge Heel Velvet lipsticks are now here! The lipsticks come in 10 beautifully intense shades, inspired by the sultriness of sexy stiletto shoes. These lipsticks also aim to have a creamy and luxurious finish. I am still drowning in my backlogs, and am dying to review these because they are sooooo pretty. But baby steps, baby steps!!! We'll get there too somehow.
Even the vlogs!!! I will definitely be uploading the footage from this event, as well as the reviews!
My magazine cover! My own magazine. Of course, this is only 1 copy, and only for me. I doubt anyone will buy a a magazine with me on the cover hahaha. Or maybe if I hoard all the hair products at Watsons, maybe I can be one step closer?
The organizers did this event because they knew that every single one of us just has that one particular friend that has great hair--the #HairGoals friend who can star in a shampoo commercial anytime. Yes, that friend. Why only admire that friend when we can become the #HairGoals person in our own circles? That's how this event came to be.
