Another month has come and gone, and it's already the end of January. Well, February now. Did anyone else feel like January went by really slowly!? It felt like it took forever to end! Anyway, I'm glad we're getting closer to spring, I can't wait for winter to finally be over. Here's a look at my empties for the month of January!

I don't think I used nearly as much up as I would have liked. I feel so overwhelmed with all the products I have, I'm really trying! It's so difficult to use up makeup!

Mac - Prep and Prime - Fix + Spray
I finally bought this a few months ago, and it has been my go to makeup primer spray. I'm still using some others to finish them off, but this is definitely my favourite now. I've already repurchased mini size versions in different scents, and another full size regular bottle. Love it!

Essence - Make Me Brow in 02 Browny Brows
At first I wasn't sure if I liked this stuff, but over time I did like it. It gives my brows just enough colour and keeps them in place all day. Very similar to gimme brow from Benefit. I already have a back up!

Younique - Moodstruck Precision Brow Gel in Brown
Ugh. This ended up being a waste. I bought this probably a year ago, and decided to use the Make Me Brow first before I went back to this. And it dried up. Like completely dry. Can't even scrape it out. So I have to toss it. Really makes me realize I need to stop buying backups and just leaving them to dry out. I won't repurchase just because Essence is a lot more affordable, and easier to get.

Mac - Mascara in Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash
This was just okay. My mom brought it for me when she visited in the summer. I won't say it was bad, because it wasn't. It was just average. I won't be purchasing this.

Urban Decay - Naked Skin Colour Correcting Fluid in Peach
I really liked this! I liked it so much that I purchased a full size tube. It helps conceal my ugly under eye circles, and blends out great. I don't find it drying like I did with the regular concealer.

Jesse's Girl - Liquid Eyeliner in Black (Brush Tip)
I love this eyeliner! It's dark black, goes on smoothly, and I find the brush doesn't fray either. Is it as good as Kat Von D Trooper? No, but it's close. And for the price difference, I'll take it! My mom brought this for me in July and I've been using it almost every day since. Pretty awesome! I already have a backup!

Essence - The Gel Top Coat
I love Essence's Gel nail polish line. They last over a week for me, with very minimal chips. They're super affordable and come in a ton of different colours. This ended up getting really gloopy though and too thick where I couldn't apply it anymore. So I tossed it and picked up a new bottle. I really love this!

Real Techniques - Miracle Complexion Sponge
I'm still on the fence with this sponge. I love how soft it is, and how it is angled on one side to make it easier to get into the difficult parts on your face. But I find my makeup never looked as nice as if I used the beauty blender. I have another because I purchased a 2 pack, but I'm not sure I'd purchase these again. I'll have to play around with it some more.

Belif - The True Cream - Moisturizing Bomb
This is the cream version of the very popular aqua bomb. I love this moisturizer! It really doesn't have any other benefits besides moisturizing, but that's all I'm looking for. It isn't greasy or heavy, and wears so well under makeup. I've already repurchased another full size jar!

Dr. Jart - Ceramidin - Oil Balm
This is a balm type of skin product that turns to oil with the heat of your hands. I've had this for awhile but I've never really figured out the best time to use it. It's obviously oily and greasy, so I would use it sometimes as the last step in my night routine when my skin needed something extra. But I never found that it did anything. I wouldn't repurchase this.

Roger and Gallet - Bois D'Orange Shower Gel
This was just okay. It did lather well, and had a more citrus scent than the other one I have tried. But it wasn't amazing. It did the job, but I have other favourite shower gels that I prefer.

Cake - The 'Do Gooder Dry Shampoo
This stuff smelled great, but that's about where it ends. It didn't do the greatest job at making my hair look less greasy, and I only got 2 uses out of this sample. I don't think I'd repurchase a full size bottle.

Secret - Gel Deodorant
This was my go-to for the past couple of months. I have one more of a backup but in a different scent. I find it's not doing as great as a job as before so I have switched to another brand in the mean time, but I do have a back up.

Weleda - Evening Primrose Revitalizing Body Wash
I prefer more of a gel texture for my body washes, and this is a cream. It wasn't my most favourite scent either (very floral - I prefer fruity or tropical scents) but it was good for the winter when my skin was feeling extra dry. I couldn't see myself repurchasing this, but it was nice to have during the colder months.

Bath and Body Work - Foaming Hand Soap in Snowkissed Citrus
I like the scent of this one, and I love the foaming hand soaps. These are pretty much in every empties post. I have a ton more in my stash, so you'll be seeing more!

Scentsy Wax Bar in Blackberry Meringue, Sno-leil, Ambrosia and Lime Sublime
These were all good scents. Blackberry Meringue was sweet, Sno-leil has a light floral scent, lime sublime was most definitely lime-y, I liked to mix this with other scents, and Ambrosia was awesome. It was like a bunch of fruits all mixed together - like a fruit salad. I've already repurchased ambrosia. (Scentsy bars are 10% off for the month of February - take a look! www.deidrec.scentsy.ca)

This month I only used up 19 products. Which was better than December. I'm hoping to use up more for February!

I didn't know that Almay was coming out with a new mascara until I was recently picked for an Influenster Campaign, that featured Almay's new One Coat Mega Volume Mascara. I'm always looking for volumizing mascaras, so I was happy to see that I would be able to try this out!

As you can see from the packaging, Almay is introducing this mascara with a new megaphone brush.

This unique formula includes film formers and triple wax complex for buildable lash volume.

The innovative megaphone brush is designed to maximize formula pickup and delivery to lashes for mega volume. It's also ophthalmologist tested, suitable for sensitive eyes, and also suitable for contact lens wearers - which is perfect for me, because I wear my contact lens every day for work, and if I have any plans on the weekend!

Look at all that extra volume! As you can see, on the left I'm only wearing eye liner, and on the right, I've used the Almay - One Coat Mega Volume Mascara.

I have really been enjoying this mascara. I thought the wand was going to be a gimmick and tricky to use, and while the first time using it, is a little odd, you can quickly adapt and fan out those lashes. I did find the formula was a little more wet than I like for my mascara, so there were some days where my lashes would clump together. I love the volume it provides when my lashes don't clump though. If this were a little more of a drier formula, it would be perfect. It does not flake, or give me raccoon eyes, and it's so easy to remove at the end of the day.

*I was provided this product in exchange for my honest review - all opinions are my own*

Topbox is probably the most affordable subscription service that I have ever subscribed to. It's only $12 a month, which means in Ontario it only comes to $13.56 after taxes. Super affordable. Especially for those who aren't looking to spend too much, while getting to try new brands. They usually only send sample sized products, and a lot of skincare. And now, what I got for September.
I decided to go with a regular topbox. There was nothing in the Prive's that were really jumping out to me.

AvryBeauty - Chamomile Gloves
Waterless manicure gloves pre-filled with soothing shea butter which is naturally rich in vitamins A, E, and F.
1 pair of gloves retail price is $1.38, which makes these two worth $2.76

IBY Beauty - Bubbly Highlighter
Wear this luminous peachy highlighter alone or layered together with your favourite blush for a sexy and healthy glow.
1.8g is full size and the retail price is $14.98 (According to Topbox - more on that below)

Glamglow - Youthmud Tinglexfoliant Treatment
Youthmud provides gentle resurfacing exfoliation and helps to leave skin smoother, brighter, and softer resulting in immediate camera-ready glowing skin.
Full size is 50g and retails for $69. Making this 15g sample worth $20.70

Caudalie - Vinoperfect Radiance Serum Complexion Enhancing
Use morning and evening, on the face, neck and decollete, before applying your regular cream. Tip: can also be used before sunscreen application for luminous and even looking skin.
Full size is 30mL and retails for $89. This 10mL sample is worth $29.66.

Overall, this Topbox is strong on the skincare side. Which is always fine by me. This month has a great value for me, considering it's less than $14 a month. I'm in need of a new serum, so the caudalie is welcomed. And I enjoy the Glamglow tinglexfoliate mask. I will be passing on the highlighter just because it looks too dark for me, and I will be passing one pair of the gloves to a friend.

I will say Topbox claims the highlighter is $14.98, but when you go onto IBY's website, they have the value at only $5, for the exact same size.

Another month has come and gone, and it's already the end of December. The end of 2017! This year feels like it went by so quickly. And we're already entering 2018. I'm hoping this year I can blog more, because when I started my new job I began to slack off a little, and I hate that I feel like I'm neglecting this! Anyway, let's round up the trash for one last empties, of 2017!

I was really hoping to use up 30 products this month, so let's see how many I actually got through.

Josie Maran - Argan Oil (Light)
This is just a facial oil. It's pretty much the same as the original Argan Oil from Josie Maran. Just a little lighter. I found it was nice to add into my moisturizer, but I didn't find it as hydrating as I would like. I wouldn't repurchase this.

Laneige - Water Sleeping Mask
These are always great to have on hand, and my skin feels instantly refreshed and hydrated when I use this. I believe I may have a back up already, just a sample size. If not, I have a couple of other similar sleep masks I'd like to get through but I would consider repurchasing.

Simple - Cleansing Facial Wipes
These are nice. They remove my makeup, they don't strip my skin or make my eyes burn. I have other packets to get through but I'd consider purchasing these in the future.

Clinique - Moisture Surge - Extended Thirst Relief
I really liked this for the summer because it sits so well under makeup, but for the winter, this is definitely not enough for my dry skin. I haven't repurchased yet but would reconsider for summer.

Garnier - Skin Active - Moisture Bomb (Dry Skin Gel Cream)
I always feel like gel creams are never hydrating enough for my skin, especially alone. I wasn't a fan of the scent of this one, and I would use it layered in other skincare steps. I wouldn't repurchase this.

Dove - Invigorating Dry Shampoo
I hated this dry shampoo so much, but I just wanted to get through it because I really hate tossing products. This leaves a white cast in the hair, it never really fully absorbs the oil.. so not only do you have white in your hair, it still looks greasy. It feels so thick and leaves a film. I also hated the scent. It definitely lingered around. I wouldn't purchase this again. I wouldn't even take it for free.

Alterna - Caviar CC Cream (10 in 1 complete correction) - Leave In Hair Perfector
I LOVED this stuff! I thought I had an other sample sized back up, but I was wrong. It leaves my hair so shiny and smooth, and it feels so soft. And bonus - it can be used as a heat protector. I liked this so much that I purchased a full size tube.

Lancome - Monsieur Big
I liked this mascara when it was fresh, but it got so thick and clumpy that I had to toss it. I wouldn't repurchase this.

L'Oreal - Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara (Waterproof)
This has so much hype on the internet, and I don't know if I got a dud or what, but this stuff sucks. It was so thick, so gloopy, and very clumpy. It got even worse around the 2 week mark. Not just that, but it just doesn't want to come off of your lashes. I use an oil balm cleanser, and a foam cleanser, and this stuff still wouldn't fully come off of my lashes. I bought two. I'm hoping the second tube doesn't act the same way. As of now, I wouldn't repurchase this.

Too Faced - Better Than Sex Waterproof Mascara
I really love the original Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara, and I really loved this too. But it was just too stubborn to remove at the end of the day. I wouldn't repurchase just because of that. I don't want to struggle removing this.

Various Perfume Samples
Versace - Bright Crystal
Michael Kors - Gold (Rose Edition)
Juicy Couture - Viva La Juicy

These were all scents that I ended up enjoying. None were really floral which I prefer. I would consider repurchasing the Viva La Juicy as a full size bottle, but really all were great.

Bath and Body Works - Foaming Hand Soap in Vampire Blood
I love the foaming hand soap, and this was in vampire blood. It was just a plum scent. I liked it. I would possibly repurchase this scent another time, but I already have a large supply of other scents. I'll keep buying this soap!

Scentsy - Wax Bar in Blue Christmas
This wasn't my favourite scent. It smelled like mens cologne and pine. This was perfect for Christmas though so I used it up then. It was also only a part of the scents of the season collection, which is no longer available to purchase. I would not repurchase this scent.

Scentsy - Wax Bar in Cranberry Bread
I was hoping this would be a strong cranberry scent, but it really just smelled like cinnamon. It wasn't bad, but I don't think I'd repurchase.

The Body Shop - Shower Gel in Spiced Apple
This was a nice shower gel. It lathered well. I don't think the scent is available anymore, but it was fresh, and fruity. It was apple with slight cinnamon. Perfect for fall and winter. I really enjoyed the quality of the shower gel, and will consider purchasing The Body Shop shower gels in the future.

This month I only used up 16 products! Not nearly as much as I was hoping. I've got my fingers crossed that the New Year will be better, I need to get through many of my products!

Another month has come to an end, which means it's time to look at my monthly favourites. Let's see what I reached for the most during the month of August!

We have something from every category - skin care, hair care, and body care!

Juice Beauty - Hydrating Mist
A toning, hydrating mist featuring a refreshing blend of rosehip, ylang ylang, resveratrol-rich grapeseed oil, and antioxidant-rich organic botanical juices for a fresh, radiant complexion.

When I purchased this, I was on the hunt for a rose water mist. This makes my skin feel hydrated, and I use it after washing my face as a toner, after applying makeup, or just when I feel like my skin needs a boost of hydration. It feels great!

Tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Paaarty
Infused with natural clay harvested from the banks of the Amazon River and naturally baked by the sun, this nutrient-rich blush benefits all skin types for a fade-free flawless finish that lasts an amazing 12 hours. Inspired by tarte's bestselling shades of cheek stains and lip tints, the colors range from soft to vivid to suit a wide variety of skin tones. For oily skin types, Amazonian clay minimizes oil in and around pores to balance skin and keep product in place. Those with dry skin will benefit from the clay's nourishing and hydrating properties, which naturally restore skin's moisture. Combination skin types can rely on its ability to zero in on skin concerns and deliver benefits to restore complexion harmony. The result: Blush that wears better, longer, and truer.

This such a pretty blush! It's neutral but works for so many skin tones. It works with any type of eye or lip colour and lasts all day. It blends easily and doesn't just disappear on your face. This pan will last me forever, and it's only a travel size!

Lush - Mask of Magnaminty
This tingly, minty face and body mask was formulated to be intensely cleansing but never harsh or abrasive. Kaolin clay and peppermint oil rid your pores of debris, giving you a delightfully tingly clean sensation. We add loads of ground aduki beans to exfoliate flaky or dry skin, vanilla absolute to calm redness and honey to soothe and moisturize.

I received this in my secret santa swap back in December, which probably sounds disgusting because I'm still using it. It's a little thicker than when I first received it, but I haven't had a bad reaction from it, so I will keep using it for now. It gives just the right amount of exfoliation, and feels so cooling on the skin. Perfect for a relaxing night.

*The Green Beaver Company - Natural Deodorant in Lavender
New and improved Green Beaver Co. deodorant contain a revolutionary organic sage oil isolate which is effective at killing existing odour, as well as preventing body odour. Contains soothing Labrador Tea which combats irritation caused by shaving. Plus this natural deodorant stick goes on clear and offers 24 protection from odours.

I received this in a summer blogger box, which contained natural and organic skincare items made in Canada. I had never tried a natural deodorant when I received the box, so I had to put this to the test. While I'm not the biggest lavender fan, this deodorant is great. It does go on clear, and immediately fights against sweat and scent. It doesn't feel sticky, and doesn't leave marks on your clothes. I'll definitely consider purchasing a different scent once this one runs out. Plus, it has no aluminum in the ingredients!

DevaCurl - Whip It Good - Wave Maker - Touchable Texture Whip
This light and airy whip, made with moringa seed and passion flower extracts, gives consistent waves and frizz control every time you use it. Hair is left smooth, healthy-looking, and delicately scented.

I received this in the Sephora Favorites - Summer Hair Saviors kit and I've been loving it! Especially on those days I don't feel like using heat on my hair. This has a light, but creamy texture. I find it really does help enhance the waves/slight curl in my hair, without weighting my hair down. And it has a light scent of coconut, perfect!

Have you tried any of my favourite products for the month? Which have you tried?!

There generally isn't a theme of the month either, but it's always a great surprise.

Each month we are able to pick a prive box, or a regular box. Usually I will post the prive choices we were given, but this month I forgot to take screenshots of our options. Oops! I decided to choose a prive box for November, and this is what I received.

Seche Vite - Dry Fast Top Coat (3 mini sized bottles - 3.6mL each)
Seche Vite dry fast top coat is widely acknowledged as the world's finest top coat. Specially formulated to penetrate through nail lacquer to the base coat forming a single solid coating over the nail plate for a much more durable finish. Guaranteed not to yellow while leaving nails silky, stronger, and resistant to chipping and peeling. A full size is 14mL and retails for $9.95 at professional nail salons.

I've heard great things about Seche Vite so I couldn't wait to give this a try. When I saw it as a prive, I decided to choose it because I wanted to see if it lived up to the hype. I have to say, I'm kind of disappointed in this top coat! I've given it quite a few tries and it just didn't live up to my expectations. It does dry fast, but it makes your polish shrink, and it definitely didn't prevent my nails from chipping or peeling. I noticed it actually chipped and peeled my polish very quickly. Like a day or two into a fresh painting. With my Essie or essence gel polishes, I get a good week of wear without any chips or peeling. And it's not like I do anything crazy with my nails either. We use a dishwasher now, and I have an office job.. so it's not like they should be getting ruined so quickly!

We're now smack dab in the middle of winter, and my dry skin is crying out for more moisture and hydration. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who is having this issue! As soon as I get out of the shower, I make sure to apply a body lotion or body butter. I sometimes even use an oil in place of those, depending on my mood. When I was contacted to try out three new body products from Palmer's, I knew I had to give them a try.

Nature's best kept secret for superior skin hydration is raw, natural Coconut Oil. Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula products drench your skin with decadently rich moisture for dewy, radiant skin, that looks lit from within. I was able to try the Coconut Oil Body Oil, Coconut Oil Body Cream, and Coconut Oil Body Lotion.

All three of these products are free of harsh chemicals, and formulated with ethically and sustainably sourced ingredients, which contain rich, skin-conditioning coconut oil and coconut milk that infuse skin with deeply penetrating moisture and an instant hydration boost. Natural oils and botatical extracts immediately begin rehydrating depleted skin on contact, creating a breathable barrier that locks in moisture for long lasting softness.

Key Ingredients:
Raw Coconut Oil
Sourced from South East Asia, this super ingredient is antioxidant rich and has inherent antibacterial properties. Loaded with naturally occurring skin health Lauric Acid, Proteins, and Vitamin E.
Tahitian Monoi
From the ancient Polynesian word for "scented oil" the native star-shaped Tiare flowers are harvested for their delicately perfumed petals and then soaked in refined coconut oil for days.
Sweet Almond Oil
Collected in small cooperatives in Spain, the almonds are harvested in summer and pressed for their rich oil. Almond oil naturally soothes skin irritation and detoxifies.
Vitamin E
This antioxidant powerhouse combats free radical damage, keeping skin looking youthful and rejuvenated.

As you can see in the above photo, the Coconut Oil Body Cream is a lot thicker than the Coconut Oil Body Lotion, which is expected because a lotion is always less thick. All of these have a coconut oil scent, which is awesome in my books.

Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula - Coconut Oil Body Oil
For this being an oil, I find that it does not leave a heavy greasy residue, and actually soaks into the skin quite quickly. It smells like a tropical beach vacation to me, and I love it. I use this all over my body. I've also read online that coconut oil is good for the hair, so after I apply this, I will run my hands through my hair. I've also put some on my scalp for an overnight treatment to get rid of flakes, and my scalp enjoys this as well. It's not marketed for that use, so your miles may vary, but I love this. As I mentioned, it soaks in quickly, and doesn't leave behind a thick oil feeling, which can be very annoying. And my skin feels hydrated. I also love that this comes in a pump bottle. I have other body oils that just have a twist off cap, and I always feel like I make a mess!

The Coconut Oil Body Oil is available at Walmart in a 150mL pump bottle, and the suggested price is $5.99.

Palmer's Oil Coconut Oil Formula - Coconut Body Lotion
This is more liquid than a thick lotion, which some people prefer. It also has that coconut oil scent, which again, I love. I will use this when I don't have much time for the lotion to sit, because this soaks into the skin quickly. Lightweight and moisturizing.

The Coconut Oil Body Lotion is available at Walmart in a 250mL bottle, and the suggested price is $5.99.

Palmer's Oil Coconut Oil Formula - Coconut Body Cream
Now this is my favourite product of all three. It's thick, which I really enjoy in my face and body moisturizing products. It does take a little more time to fully absorb into your skin, but you truly get 24 hours of moisturization. It doesn't leave a sticky oily film either. I really enjoy using this on my elbows, knees, and feet, but I'll use it all over my body (except my face.) This also has the same coconut oil scent, which I'm really enjoying.

The Coconut Oil Body Cream is available at Walmart in a 125g jar, and the suggested price is $7.99.

Another month has come and gone, and it's already the end of November. Or beginning of December when you read this! I can't believe we're getting so close to the end of 2017, this year feels like it went by so quickly. Pretty soon Christmas will be here, as will New Years Eve.. and then we will be in 2018!  Anyway, it's time to collect the beauty trash, and see what I've used up for the month of November.

I wish I could say I used up a lot of products this month, but I'm actually kind of disappointed in the low amount I used up!

Smashbox - Photo Finish Primer Water
I wasn't planning on repurchasing this primer water, because I wanted to try something else. But then this bottle fell and the spray part got all messed up. So I repurchased another just so I could empty this into the other without feeling like it was a waste. I like this primer water, but like I said, I wanted to try something else. I may repurchase in the future, I'm not sure yet!

Sunday Riley - Luna Sleeping Night Oil
This was hydrating on the skin, however I didn't notice any difference in my skin texture or the way it looked.  This was blue, and was strongly scented. I'd pass on it in the future. I did a full review on it here.

Too Faced - Hangover RX Primer
This is a nice hydrating primer, that isn't heavy feeling at all. However, this makes me break out. Pretty much every time I tried it, I would get a break out. Which is super disappointing because I liked the way it made my skin look, and feel.

Stella McCartney - Pop (Perfume Sample)
This is a nice perfume, and I considered purchasing a full size. Possibly in the future because I really don't need more perfumes in my collection right now.

Sunday Riley - Good Genes
This is a lactic acid and in the beginning I really liked it. However over time, I noticed my skin became sensitive to it and it would burn when I used it. I scaled back from using it every day, to every other day, and then every 3 days. It had a very strong scent. I will not be repurchasing. I did a full review on it here.

Fresh - Soy Face Cleanser
I absolutely love this cleanser. It's a gel formula, and it's just so gentle on my skin. It doesn't feel like it dries me out, and it gets my makeup off if a balm doesn't get it all off beforehand. I recommend this to everyone, and I have already repurchased.

Equate - Quilted Pads
These are just cheap little cotton rounds. They're good for removing nail polish, taking off mascara, using micellar water. They're very handy to have. I've already repurchased.

Shiseido - Facial Cotton
These facial cottons are so soft. I cut them in half so they last even longer. They're also good to remove makeup, apply a toner or micellar water. I've used them to remove nail polish too but I feel like they are too lux to use them for that. I've already repurchased because theyr'e just so soft. And they lasted me quite awhile.

Marc Anthony - Dream Waves Beach Spray
This stuff smells like a tropical vacation. Like coconut and pineapple. It works great at making my hair stay wavy, without weighting it down or making it look/feel super dried out. I haven't repurchased yet, but it's on my list for the future!

John Frieda - Frizz Ease - Miraculous Recovery Deep Conditioner
I didn't find this to be anything special. It made my hair feel a little softer but I didn't find it deep conditioning enough - if that makes sense. I really prefer the Amika hair mask, so I will not be repurchasing this deep conditioner in the future.

Healthy Sexy Hair - Soy Leave in Conditioner
This took me a while to finish off. It's okay, nothing really to remember. I won't be repurchasing.

Scentsy - Wax Bar in Pineapple Sorbet
I enjoyed the pineapple scent of this wax bar, but I wish it was stronger. I'm undecided if I will repurchase this in the future.

Webber Naturals - Biotin (Vitamin)
I noticed my hair was falling out at a scary rate, so I decided to buy some biotin. While it did help grow some of my hair back (I see lots of  baby hairs) I needed to add some Iron to my daily vitamin intake. And that has really helped. I already repurchased another bottle of biotin and I'm seeing some results. I did notice my nails are growing a lot faster.

Secret - Invisible Gel Deodorant - Cocoa Butter
This has become one of my favourite deodorants. It does the job. I've already repurchased.

Equate - Multi Purpose Contact Lens Solution
This stuff is cheap. You get two in a pack, and new cases. It's not my most favourite (I really like Aqua Solo) but this is cheaper and my boyfriend likes it. So I use it. We've already repurchased.

Bath and Body Works - Foaming Hand Soap in Caribbean Escape
This is my most favourite bath and body works scent. It's tropical, fruity, and pink! I wish I could bathe in this scent haha. Anyway, I love this hand soap. I have a ton stocked up, so you'll be seeing more in the future. I'll need more of everything in this scent though!

So for November I only used up 16 products  - which really isn't much at all when I look at how much stuff I have. I'm going to try and aim for 31 products for December. Fingers crossed I can do it!

There generally isn't a theme of the month either, but it's always a great surprise.

Each month we are given the opportunity to wish for a prive box. What that is, is a box featuring a specific brand. First let's take a look at what our prive options were for October.

Medusa Prive Topbox
Medusa's Makeup Witch Lash Mascara adds length and volume to your lashes with an easy to apply flexible rubber wand.
Includes: Medusa, Witch Lash Mascara (12mL full size x 2)

So although there were a ton of prive choices this month, I decided to stick with a regular Topbox. This is what I got in that box.

As always, I chose the organza bag.

Redken - Pillow Proof Blow Dry Two Day Extender (Brown)
Shake well and spray evenly into hair. Brush through to remove any excess. Blast dry using fingers for tousled texture or a round brush for volume. Works best on hair that hasn't been freshly shampooed.

I'm guessing this is like a dry shampoo? But its coloured brown. I'm a little afraid to use this right now just because I have some blonde in my hair. I'm not sure if I will keep it or pass it along.

Doucce - Punk Volumizer Mascara
Define lashes one by one, adding extreme volume and thickness to your lashes. Instantly creates dramatically full and seductive lashes for an audacious false-look effect.

I don't need any more mascara, but whats one more? Right? I haven't tried this out yet but I will be using it once another mascara is finished. I'll post the results then.

Elizabeth Arden - New Formula Advanced Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Serum
Pure. Potent. Precise. Triple the anti-aging power for visibly firmer, smoother, healthy-looking skin.

I've never used serum in capsules before. Not the most exciting but I'll give them a go. Fingers crossed they are good!

Biotherm - Life Plankton Essence
Apply as the step 0 of your beauty routine. Apply 4-5 drops on a clean face. In only 8 days, watch your skin transform and rediscover the newborn skin you deserve.

Well, that all just sounds so creepy. My skin is pretty smooth as it is, so I'm not sure how much smoother it can feel, but I'll use this.

Overall, this isn't an exciting bag. I'm started to get a little disappointed with Topbox, but it's just so cheap I can't seem to give it up. I will use everything except for the dry shampoo.

This year for the holiday season, fellow Canadian Beauty Bloggers decided to run another Secret Santa gift exchange! I haven't participated every year, and last year was my first time, you can see what I got here. I had a great swap in 2016 so when it came up for 2017, I said yes right away. Again there was a $30 minimum value that was agreed upon, and we all had to send out gifts out by December 8th. On Elfster you can create a wishlist for products you were interested in. We had no idea who would send us our gift, or what we would get, which made it really fun!

My Santa sent me 2 products that were on my wish list. I tried to "wish" for a variety of products, and this is what I was gifted! Two awesome lip sets!

Bite Beauty - Agave Kisses Set
A travel set with three products made from agave to exfoliate, treat, and hydrate lips. Powered by lip-quenching agave, this set features a deluxe-size Agave Sugar Lip Scrub, Agave Lip Mask, and Agave Lip Balm a three-step regimen to exfoliate, treat, and hydrate for well-nourished lips.
The Agave Sugar Lip Scrub is a triple-action, foaming lip scrub infused with exotic oils, brown sugar, and pineapple enzymes. It cleanses and gently exfoliates, while the agave syrup helps moisturize and condition lips.
The Agave Lip Mask is a soothing, leave-on lip mask that smooths, nourishes, and hydrates lips. It contains organic agave nectar, jojoba oil, vanilla co2 extract, and the antioxidant trans-resveratrol, at triple the amount found in red wine.
A must for on-the-go lip care, Agave Balm is the perfect travel essential, with a nourishing formula made from agave, and rare madagascar vanilla co2 extract. Lips stay hydrated and protected all day long, and it also acts as a primer for color application.

I have Bit Beauty lipsticks, but I haven't had the chance to try the lip scrub, balm, or lip mask, and I've heard amazing things about all three. I'm so happy to have received this set, and will definitely be using it now that it's getting so cold here!

Stila - Nudie Mood Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick Set
A set of three deluxe sizes of Stila's award winning Stay All Day® Liquid Lipstick in universally flattering nude shades. What it does: Get in the mood for nude with Stila's weightless, full-coverage, creamy matte lip color. These three deluxe size, flattering nude shades stay put all day and night. Each offers comfortable, long-lasting, full coverage in a weightless, creamy matte formula.

This set includes 3 of the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in the shades Baci, Petina and Perla.

Perla - Soft Rosy Nude

Patina - Dusty Rose

Baci - Nude Pink

All of these are beautiful nude colours, and I really like that they lean more pink nude than they do brown nude, because I would never be able to pull them off if they were brown. I'm excited to put these to the test to see if they really do last all day. I'll do a full review on them once I get a chance to wear them all!

Overall, I'm very happy with what my Santa sent me. A HUGE thank you! I really enjoy getting a surprise in the mail - so if I'm still blogging next year, I will definitely participate again. And what's actually pretty funny, my Santa was the same as last year! Check out her blog here!
