I recently shared six key style tips with the women who serve along with their sons in the Young Men's Service League of Plano, and now I'd like to share them with you!
1. Six Simple Tips
Your wardrobe should be a reflection of your lifestyle.
Carry the best handbag you have and wear the best footwear you have. People often look at your handbag and your shoes as a measure of your 'overall' look, which is the reason it's so important to pay attention to these items.
Don't leave home without earrings and lipstick. You can conquer the world with these two items.
Accessorizing can propel an outfit from ordinary to extraordinary. As Clairee Belcher, played by Olympia Dukakis, said in the movie Steel Magnolias, "The only thing that separates us from the animals is our ability to accessorize."
When in doubt, leave it out. Whether you're contemplating your next purchase or your next outfit, if you are hesitant, listen to your inner voice.
Ugly clothes don’t go on any faster than cute clothes (I’ve timed it, I know.). Life is too short – or, perhaps, too long – to wear ugly clothes.
2. First Impressions Are Lasting Impressions
Without saying a word, your appearance speaks volumesWhen you look good, you feel goodYour appearance is an outward expression of your personalityPeople's actions are often a reaction to the way you lookThe way you look tells people how you regard them

5. Just Because It's In Style, Doesn't Mean It's Your Style
