My dear readers,

I went last Wednesday to have dinner at Bleu Blanc by David Meyers located in the Renaissance Downtown Hotel in Business Bay.

Gypsy Chef, global citizen and wandering soul, David Myers is based in Los Angeles, but is most often found in his restaurants in Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, and now Dubai.

With Bleu Blanc, David invites you to experience Southern France through his eyes – and palate.

I would like to thank the Head Chef, Chef Alex for the amazing dishes he prepared us.

I would like also to thank the great team for the amazing service and specially for Linchon, first for having recommeding us a great choice of dishes to try and secondly for making sure that we have a great time and that nothing is missing us at any time.

We spent a memorable evening where we really enjoyed every single dish that was served to us.

It was Top of the Top!

A very nice and posh set up!

Let me start sharing with you my amazing experience!

We enjoyed so much the Charred Octopus.

First because they were so soft and they were not chewy at all.

A very well done to the Chef for making these so delicious…

The Wagyu Steak Tartare at Bleu Blanc is not the traditional steak tartare with a raw egg.

The Bleu Blanc Steak Taste has a drizzle of lemon on top of it.

The Butter Poached Lobster with Risotto and Kaffir Lime Emulsion was exceptional.

The presentation is very nice and the taste, mmmm, what can I say, so yummy, I am craving it now.

It is rich but light and subtly truffled.

Can’t wait to go back…exquisite.

The Fragrant Lamb Ribs were very well marinated with Barbecue Spice and Yogurt on the side.

It was not that spicy but if you still find it a bit spicy, the yogurt on the side will not make it spicy anymore.

I am crazy about ribs and these were so tender and flavorful.

For the main course, we chose the Rib-Eye from the Black Angus Butcher Cuts.

Perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection as requested on medium cook, the rib-eye was melting in our mouth.

As a side for the Rib-Eye, I ordered the Forest Mushrooms.

The portion is very generous!

They were so tasty…

The King Crab Leg is a must try!

I have never tasted such a delicious king crab leg on my life.

It was divine…

And as a side, we ordered the Asparagus!

And to end with a sweet note, we ordered the Berries with Yogurt Ice Cream and Meringue.

It was a very good choice.

Light yet so tasty…

The below is how the Sweet Brioche will reach to your table before being served to you…

A zoom on the delicious Sweet Brioche!

If you haven’t visited Bleu Blanc yet, make sure to go there at the earliest.

I really regret for not having trying it earlier.

The food is exceptionally tasty!

We had so much fun this Friday at The Urban Brunch at Urban Bar & Kitchen located at the Movenpick Jumeirah Lakes Towers.

A brunch can make your day but The Urban Brunch is guaranteed to make your whole weekend.

Friday is the ultimate day for celebration at [u]bk as it ushers in “The Urban Brunch”, a backyard brunch filled with sharing style food platters, live grill and carving station and desserts, complete with live music and bottomless drinks.

Every Friday from 2pm to 5pm

AED 149 per person including buffet and soft beverages

AED 265 per person including buffet and selected house beverage package

The live music played by the singer was amazing!

So the Brunch start with Nibbles that are served to your table, a live cooking station where you can choose what you want and desserts that will be served to your table.

Let us start with the Nibbles.

Loved so much these Breads with on the side: butter, black olive tapenade and some sun-dried tomato paste.

Nachos with Guacamole, Empanadas and Fried Calamari.

The Empanadas were to die for, I enjoyed them so much.

The filing is onion and cheese.

The Nachos were so fresh and the fried calamari were hot and crispy.

Then Chicken Liver Mousse and Baja Fish Taco.

All these were so tasty.

I was so hungry and enjoying the Nibbles, at the same time, my eyes were on the live cooking station and I was seeing Beef Ribs so I had to stop munching to be able to eat from the grills.

The Chef at the live cooking station was very friendly and the smile was on his face

Yum, Yum, Yum, look a these….

Grilled Corn, Pineapple, Beef Ribs, Lamb Steak, Jerk Chicken, Chorizo Sausage, Grilled Fish…

So my favourite was of course the Beef Ribs but also the Lamb Steak was very juicy and flavourful!

I tried all the others too but in small portions as I was so full…

Everything was very well marinated and delicious.

Grilled Potatoes, Rice and Beans and Veggies…

A zoom on one off my dishes.

Reaching the desserts, I had no more space for anything in my stomach.

My friend was so full too but he preferred to eat ice cream instead of the dessert that was in the menu, as Ice Cream is lighter

The Desserts that are included in the Brunch were the Chocolate Mousse, Apple Tart and Bread & Butter Pudding.

You can play before eating or even after eating, no rush.

The brunch is from 2pm to 5pm.

Take your time and enjoy.

And you can play darts to0…

Urban Bar & Kitchen is an amazing place to enjoy your Friday and chill with your friends.

I recommend you to try their Friday Brunch.

And on your table, there was a menu of Tapas, where you can order as much as you want.

We started with these Gambas Al Ajilo that we so tasty.

Then we choose another selection of Tapas.

Everything was so yummy!

The Beef Brisket was exceptionally tasty.

I wished I had more space to eat more of it…

Don’t forget to take Veggies!

My Beef Brisket plate with a lamb and chicken grilled skewers.

And the Traditional Paella!

We chose a Seafood Paella, so yummy.

And of course Pork Charcuteries

And make sure to keep space to end your meal with a dessert.

We were so full that we couldn’t eat sweets…

These looks so yummy though

If you haven’t planned anything for next Thursday evening, book your table now and enjoy a great evening outdoor.
