He has arrived…Welcome to the world sweet Rocco! We are so excited to introduce y’all to our new addition to the family! Rocco (my husband named him after nine months of deliberation, but that is a whole other story in itself) was born June 12 at 37 weeks, weighed 7’6 and was 19.5 inches long, and had a head full of hair! I was so worried about having a boy because we are a family of girls, but from the moment I saw him I was in love big time. He probably won’t make many appearances on the blog, but wanted everyone to meet him. Ivy is a wonderful big sister in the making. I am not seeing a big resemblance in the two of them yet, but some say they look alike. I can already tell he has big brown eyes and dark brown hair, unlike Ivy’s big green eyes and dirty blond hair. It’s funny how genetics work! Gia…well…let’s just say she is adjusting in her own sweet way…Ha! Ali took these beautiful pictures a few days after we got home from the hospital and I LOVE them so much! I can’t wait to watch them all grow up together. I just thought I wanted one child…until I had two!
Good Morning! Aren’t these pictures of Ivy so dreamy? I love this carefree look from Little Skye Children’s Boutique! I am especially loving the Rylee and Cru brand that they carry. I literally want every piece in Ivy’s size and mine (if they made it!). Ivy will be wearing this outfit on repeat all summer long. Go check them out, they have such a great selection of children’s clothing & carry so many of the brands that we love. Also, they currently have a sale going and so you will not want to miss that!

Romper: Amazon| Shoes: Sand Sun via Amazon| Hat: Petit Bateau (no longer available) (we also have this one & it’s very similar), I also like this one
I’m a little behind sharing photos with you all from our trip to Sand Diego. Here are a few from our beach day at the Hotel Del Coronado. I packed this little romper for Gia in our beach bag to put on when we left the beach. This was actually my first time trying it on her & oh my I immediantley fell IN LOVE with it. I found it on Amazon for $12.99 & you would never know it! It also comes in blush pink & white and I’m thinking about ordering her another color. It’s an Amazon Prime item as well, which is just another plus!
I’ll slowly be sharing more photos from our trip, so stay tuned for that & let me know if you have any specific questions about the trip and/or traveling with a toddler.
Easter is right around the corner, so I hope y’all have found the perfect Easter dress! Ivy received this beautiful lavender dress and she is done looking! I am perfectly okay with that because I love this dress as much as she does! Gia’s dress arrived a bit too long, but after Ali did a quick hem on it, it is perfect. She will even be able to let the hem out when Gia gets a bit taller! Let me just add that Ivy’s shoes are from Walmart and they were around $12! I mean, it doesn’t get much better than that for a dressy white sandal…especially when you need it NOW and you don’t have but two options in a small town. Don’t forget to check out our links above to Pottery Barn Kids for the girls Easter Baskets! Ivy’s is not pictured, but I linked it and it came in and Ivy LOVES it (it’s rainbow…and not overly traditional).
We are so excited to share these Blowfish Malibu shoes with you all; they are the BEST! This is a brand Ivy has been wearing for a few years now, and so when they reached out to us about gifting the girls shoes, we were thrilled! Their sandals are what we have always purchased (specifically these) and so we wanted to give their sneakers a try! Let’s just say, Ivy will be wearing these out this spring and summer! They are defiantly Ivy approved; she said that they are so comfortable! The best part… they are easy to put on and sooooo light weight. Oh and not to mention, they go with almost everything! I am going to pair these babies with dresses, shorts and jeans all spring/summer long. I will be purchasing more in this brand for Ivy and myself! They also come in toddler sizes & we’ll do a blog post with Gia wearing them soon! Go check them out… like right now!
Gia// Overalls: Gap| Undershirt: Gap| Shoes: Ked’s| Bow: Wee One’s Bows| Dolls: Cuddle and Kind (the baby fawn was gifted by Cuddle and Kind), the dog with flower crown is also available via Amazon in case you have Prime.
It’s officially SPRING! We could not be more excited for warm weather and the smell of fresh cut grass! Other than that… we are so happy and honored to share these adorable Cuddle and Kind dolls! These are not just any dolls, they are dolls with a purpose! For every doll that is purchased, Cuddle and Kind gives 10 meals to hungry children! These dolls are beautiful and timeless and are perfect for a baby shower gift or for any occasion in my opinion! Please go check out their website to learn more about Cuddle and Kind and the amazing things they do to help children in need!
With Easter a few weeks away, any of these dolls would brighten any Easter basket! Also, Ivy can’t wait to give her baby brother his sweet little polar bear when he gets here!
BOY! Ivy is going to be a big sister to a baby boy! She was a little taken back when she was told the news, but has settled in on the idea. We are so excited for his arrival and know that Ivy will be the best big sister! Ivy has loved baby Gia since day one, so I know she will love baby brother just as much! We have no names picked out…yikes! I had a girl name picked and ready to go, but boy names are a real challenge.
This blue dress from Target was a last minuet choice (since I had my heart set on white); however, I just thought the color was perfect and will be a perfect summer dress for Ivy to throw on all summer long! Ali thought the balloons would be a good additions since this is a CeLeBrAtIoN! Ivy was so excited to let them go at the end of the photo session, until they landed right at the top of a tree and stuck there. Ivy was like, “Really mom?” I mean I am in control of ever situation…right?! (insert emoji girl with her hand on her forehead here!)
So for now I am working on redoing Ivy’s room…when I say I, I mean Ali! Ali has picked out everything for her room so far…I am like a toddler and can’t make decisions on my own! I can’t wait to show you some of the things Ali has picked out and I have purchased so far. Ivy was not fond of the color scheme…(I’m a terrible mother), but I know she will love it once she sees it all together. I really wanted to redo her room first so she would feel special with all the changes she is about to endure. It has been just her and me for so long that I want her to still feel like she is the most special thing in this world to me! I will try to link some of items we have picked out for Ivy’s room piece by piece so you can get inspired by Ali’s free design service too! HA!
Thanks for reading and sharing these moments with us!
I am finally getting around to sharing Gia’s nursery with you guys! I hope you all love this space as much as I do.
The first piece I purchased was the rug & it is by far my favorite piece in the nursery. As soon as I saw it I fell in love and no matter how many other rugs I looked at, nothing compared to this one. After getting the rug, I then started picking out other items for the room. I knew I wanted the overall look to be modern, but still playful & inviting. I kept the bed & bedding very simple since you really can’t have much in the bed when they are sleeping anyways. That was my thought process when I was planning the nursery, but to be honest she has never actually slept a night in this bed. At first. she slept in a bassinet beside our bed, then transitioned to a pack and play & now she is in the bed with us, ha! Regardless, I like the simplicity of her bed & would go with this look if I did it all over again.
I’ll stop jabbering now & just let the photos speak for themselves. Below, I linked everything that I could for you all. Let me know if you have any questions!
One more thing because I know it may be of concern to many of you. The mirror is bolted to the wall & is not going anywhere; rest assured;)
