Imagine standing next to a very sexy car.  Now imagine being the designer of that very sexy car.  Michelle Christensen doesn’t have to imagine being that person; She IS that person!

With an amazing artistic talent combined with interest and knowledge of racing cars from a young age (her father was into hot rods and muscle cars), Michelle was inspired to be a car designer after her first car show visit experience.  She completed her studies at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA.

Michelle’s first role as lead designer was on the 2016 Honda NSX project.  Being motivated by her passions of “arts, cars, and making things for people” (her quote), she led her team in creating one of the hottest (and coolest, at the same time) road warriors of this decade, the Acura NSX.

The Acura NSX being Michelle Christensen’s first successful project, I can only imagine her future projects will have no limits to the beauty and ingenuity that will be produced.

Anxiously waiting for what’s coming up next!

Watch this MotorWeek video of Michelle Christensen talking about how she did it!

Cars that LookAlike: Comparing the Kia Sportage to the Porsche Cayenne and the old Subaru Tribeca

Where Subaru and Porsche failed, Kia excelled and outshined by leaps and bounds!  I just saw an old Subaru Tribeca on the road today, and couldn’t stop comparing it with the amazing Kia Sportage.  This also inspired me to create a new section on the website for cars that LookAlike!

This Subaru Tribeca “attempted” very hard to be a cool car, but failed miserably.  Porsche doesn’t seem like it even tried anything, hence the bland design (hardly any change from one model to another, and that’s for all Porsches).

Then Kia attempted the similar concept with the recent Sportage, and it has won a lot of design enthusiasts’ hearts!

At least Subaru had the decency to stop the production of this disaster in 2014, phew! The lazy designers of Porsche are still at it.

Looking at the future, there are some shots of the 2018/2019 Subaru Tribeca (also being mentioned as the Tribeca replacement), although they look more like a concept than a production version.  It does look very nice!

If the production version ends up looking half as stylish and trendy as the image below, Subaru will be considered back into the kick-ass Crossover group (even ahead of the Porsche, in my opinion)

IF Subaru does end up producing it like the concept, I have a recommendation for the replacement name: The Subaru Wolverine.  Wanna take a guess why?  The headlights have the spikes that remind me of Wolverine’s claws.

At first, my impression was negative, and was thinking “Not another one of those spiky headlights like the ones on some Nissans and Lexuses”, but the more I look at them, the more I like the positioning, size, and overall look.  It makes the car exciting.  It also looks like a clever design connecting the headlights to the foglights.

Your Thoughts?

Can you think of any other LookAlike cars?

Wild.  Aggressive. Handsome. Thrilling!  Just some of the words your mind will be filled with once the heart palpitations from excitement relax, as a result of the look of the amazing 2018 Chevrolet Camaro.  An amazing 3rd sibling of the revived Camaro, and the most handsome of them all!  The drive is equally thrilling once you (even faintly) step on the gas, and the seats hug you, while making you feel like a superhero!

Now, for the Nitty Gritty of the 2018 Chevrolet Camaro

The Camaro is a gazillion configuration options.  This review is mostly based on the 2018 Camaro 1LT with:

+ RS Package
+ Technology Package

This specific simple combination seems to be an extremely rare find.  It took 4 months to find one, and eventually purchased 1 of only 2 remaining in all of Southers California.

All thanks to Pete Hernandez from Tom Bell Chevrolet!

  FRONT / HEADLIGHTS

One of the best headlights on any of the American Muscle Cars out there in 2018, including the Dodge Charger, Dodge Challenger, and particularly, the 2018 Ford Mustang

HOWEVER, the title of “The Best Headlight” is earned ONLY with the RS package, which adds little appearance details that increases the Camaro’s appeal exponentially.  Without the RS appearance, the Camaro would just be ordinary (or simply known as “blah”).

Here’s a comparison of the headlight and front grill with and without the RS elements (Chrome lines, RS Logo and most importantly, the addition of the bottom outline that makes the cobra-eye-look pop!)

TAIL LIGHTS SIDE BACK INTERIOR EXCITERS  IN CONCLUSION – 2018 Chevy Camaro
