Valid

You’ve just been handed the keys to your brand-new BMW. Is there anything more exhilarating than taking it out for that first spin? It has a flawless shine and that unbeatable new car smell. If only it could stay that way.

Well, it can. With a good cleaning and maintenance program, it is possible for you to keep your car looking youthful, so-to-speak, for years to come.

Cleaning and Washing

Believe it or not, washing your car regularly will help keep it looking new. How so? Because it prevents debris and dust from adhering to its surface and damaging the paint finish. There are however a few precautions to take to ensure that you are not scratching your vehicle while you’re washing it:

Always give your car a thorough rinse before taking a mitt to it to remove particles that could create swirl marks as you wash. Use a microfiber mitt and a specially formulated car soap. Any other soap could harm your car’s paint finish.

Dry your vehicle using microfiber towels. Do not drag the towel on your car. Instead, blot the water away, starting from the top, and working your way down.

Clean your tires and rims using a wheel cleaner and a brush. If you chose to use a mitt on your tires, be sure that it is a different one than the one used for the body.

Clean and buff the interior on a regular basis. Vacuum meticulously, using a special attachment to get into all those nooks and crannies where unsightly dirt gathers. Use a dashboard cleaner to wipe surfaces. This will not only make the task easier, but it will leave the inside of your car looking smooth and smelling fresh.

Protect Your Car

Protect your car’s paint and clear coat by waxing it. The frequency with which you wax depends on many factors: the weather, how often you use your vehicle, and where it is stored, for example. Also, observe what happens when water settles on the hood of your car. Does it create a beading effect? If not, then it’s time to wax.

Fix Small Imperfections

Despite your best efforts, you might one day begin to notice a few nicks and scratches on your car. Not to worry, there are many products to help you fix the problem. It is of utmost importance to use high quality paints and touch up kits that guarantee and exact-match. Automotive paint specialists Roberts Paint Care offer such paints and touch-up kits. How-to videos can guide you through the process of restoring your car’s paint. You can find these on their website, along with many other tips on car maintenance.

Taking good care of your car requires a bit of time and effort, but it is nonetheless very gratifying. Not only will it keep your car feeling and looking new for many years, but it will maintain a higher resale value should you one day decide to sell your car and start all over again with a new one.

There are many big decisions that come with buying a new car, such as who will be using the car and what level of spec you want in your vehicle. When considering these factors, it’s important to remember that there will be ongoing costs associated with the vehicle that you choose. One of the most important of these costs is insurance.

The car you drive – age, cost and model – affect your insurance premiums, so you need to make sure that you choose a new car with this in mind. BMWs are a popular choice with many car purchasers, thanks to their high performance and reliability levels and their luxury interiors. If you are thinking of joining the large number of BMW owners across the country, you need to understand whether they are more expensive to insure than other vehicles.

BMWs not the most expensive vehicle to insure

In short, there are other vehicles which are more expensive to insure than a BMW. According to research, Mercedes-Benz models are the most expensive to insure. Various models of this brand take up the first three spots in the 20 most expensive cars to insure.

BMWs are at the luxury end of the market, so they are expensive to insure. For instance, the BMW 750Li comes with an average premium of $3,222. There is good reason for these high premiums as luxury cars like the BMW come with high repair or replacement costs, should the worst happen. It’s also worth remembering that there are several factors which determine how much you will pay to insure a BMW.

What helps to determine your BMW insurance premiums?

As with other vehicles, there are several factors which combine to decide what level of insurance premiums are attached to a BMW.
The model chosen
Insurance rates can vary greatly between different BMW models. They can even vary between different incarnations of the same model.
How old the vehicle is
Once you know which model of BMW you want, it may be better to buy a vehicle that is a few years old, as insurance premiums should be lower. However, you need to remember that certain, more modern, safety features could actually reduce premiums, so it’s a balancing act.
Value of the car
Obviously, high value BMWs are more expensive to insure. This includes the value of any additions to the vehicle and not just the purchase cost.
Personal factors

It’s possible for different people to buy the same model, version and age of BMW and still pay different rates of insurance. This is due to the personal factor. Insurance providers take into account factors such as how well you drive (do you have any driving penalties), how old you are and where you live.

All of these factors are put together to create an insurance premium that is personal to you. However, overall BMWs are not the most expensive vehicles to insure, although newer models do usually attract high premiums.

The G11/G12 BMW 7 Series of the current generation has received a new look for the facelift version, and the biggest changes can be seen at the exterior of the car where the oversized grilles can be seen immediately, the front bumper with the design of the BMW Vision Future Luxury Concept, the tail lights behind the car are joined together by an illuminated line using LED technology. The tail lights use the L shape seen on the new G20 BMW 3 Series and in my opinion it’s a better design.

Inside, small aesthetic improvements can be seen, among which the most striking improvement is the new instrument cluster design that is used in the new generation of BMW X5, G20 3 Series, Z4, respectively the all-new 8 Series. Some changes have been introduced to the control side of the safety systems where the buttons have been repositioned. The steering wheel has also received minor modifications and the infotainment system is represented by the new iDrive 7.

A special advantage is that this facelifted BMW 7 Series can be personalized to the liking of the customers and can be fitted with the complete M package using Nappa top quality leather upholstery in several nuances that are part of the Exclusive range.

Nappa leather interior, or Merino leather interior, feature 6 nuances, the latter being present in the BMW Individual collection. The interior can be accessorized with the best quality elements of wood, or even metal.

The new facelift of the BMW 7 Series is more than just a facelift and has brought great design and functionality improvements to match its rivals, Audi and Mercedes, with their models Audi A8 and Mercedes S Class. BMW has made a little bigger changes in order to “revive” the sales of this model until the new generation of the BMW 7 Series will be launched shortly.

The BMW 7 Series Facelift is 22mm longer than the non-facelift version, its width and height remaining the same size.

The Executive Lounge package offers the most luxurious package of this model and offers the following options: comfort seats with massage and ventilation for all passengers, air conditioning on 4 zones and rear passengers will have an infotainment system made of two 10-inch screens and a 7-inch tablet.

The interior is much better soundproofed and the windows are a bit thicker than the non facelift version, which gives the car a bigger comfort. As far as emissions are concerned, this model is in the Euro6 standard.

The G11/G12 BMW 7 Series facelift comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission with minor updates.

Below you can find pictures of the official images received from the fellows at BMW Group and we look forward to your impressions regarding this facelifted G11/G12 BMW 7 Series, if you are happy with the improvements made to this facelift or not. See you next time!

BMW Australia is getting ready to celebrate the arrival of the all-new BMW M2 Competition locally, and to make a big impression, the company decided to launch a special variant enhanced with the M Performance Parts Launch Package.

In Australia, the M2 Competition costs $99,900 in the Pure standard variant, while the top of the line is set at $104,900. However, if you want to add this particular package, then you have to empty your pockets for another $15,990. And by the way, the package is available at every BMW dealer and involves a seven-hour job to install it. That is cheaper than choosing different parts from the package.

As you probably know, the M2 Competition is the hardcore version of the M2, just like the M4 Competition is for the M4 Coupe. It is already enhanced with M goodies and adding the M Performance Parts Launch Package will make it more standout and aggressive. Perhaps for some, way too aggressive and thus too ridiculous.

The M Performance Parts Launch pack comes with a wide range of accessories, comprising both the exterior as well as the interior. There is the carbon fiber front splitter, along with side mirrors and rear spoiler, along with the new bonnet which is also made from carbon fiber. The car`s aggressive rear end is also highlighted by the bespoke and chunkier carbon fiber diffuser.

The interior has not been left out and got the same special treatment. There is the ‘Pro’ steering wheel with carbon fiber trim spokes, adding as well M Performance badges, or carbon fiber treatment for the dashboard and centre console.

Under the hood, the M2 Competition M Performance Parts Launch remains pretty much stock. We are dealing here with the same engine found on the M3 or M4 – the famous S55 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline six-cylinder pot, now producing 302kW and 550 Nm of torque. With a rear-wheel drive setup and standard manual transmission, the M2 Competition allows a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds. However, with the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, the acceleration is reduced by 0.2 seconds.

You can take a look at the BMW M2 Competition M Performance Parts Launch in the media gallery below. Enjoy!

After so much waiting, the third-generation Z4 is finally here for the taking, as it was recently unveiled in Portugal at the International Media Launch. And that was the perfect moment and place to shanpshot it in an amazing photo gallery.

Long-debated, teased and seen in spy shots, the all-new 2019 BMW Z4 is definitely a subject to be debated for a long time. Especially if we are talking about the top of the lime M40i, an exceptionally well-built model with aggressive design language and sheer power under the hood.

On the outside, the new Z4 comes with the company`s new design philosophy, also seen on the brand-new 8-Series range. It sports the massive kidney grille at the front both significantly increasing its aggressive look. The overall personality is complemented by massive M wheels and the new performance features – 10-mm differential lower Adaptive M Sport suspension, M Sport brakes or M Sport differential, all increasing driving and handling capabilities.

The interior also benefits from the best materials alongside the company`s latest high-tech gadgetries, that make it one of the most advanced models from BMW. These features are also seen on the brand-new 8-Series range or M5.

The cherry on the cake however remains the powertrain under the hood which reveals great power and performance. The M40i uses a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline six-cylinder petrol burner with 335 horsepower, available at 5,000-6,000 rpm. And that is in Europe; in the US, the power stops at 382 horsepower, while the peak torque is the same on both continents: 500 Nm of torque, available between 1,600-4,500 rpm.

Available as well with a high-performance Steptronic automatic transmission which sends the all the power to the rear wheels, the 2019 Z4 M40i is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds, at a top speed which is electronically-limited to 250 km/h.

Besides the top of the line M40i, in Europe, the Z4 range also comprises the sDrive20i and sDrive30i variants. In the United States however, only the sDrive30i and M40i are available.

Performance wise, the sDrive30i is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, developing 255 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. That allows a straight line sprint in 5.4 seconds, at a top speed of 250 km/h. On the other hand, the sDrive20i, which uses the same pot, is less powerful – only 194 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. The sprint from standstill to 100 km/h is done in 6.6 seconds, at a top speed of 240 km/h.

We will thoroughly detail the Z4`s exclusive design language and onboard technology later on! Meanwhile, enjoy the media gallery with the 2019 BMW Z4 M40i!

Owning a luxury car like a BMW is one of life’s great pleasures for many Australian drivers. If you’re wanting to enjoy all the great benefits of a BMW but aren’t sure whether you can afford it or not, why not consider car finance?

There are so many car finance options available meaning that you’ll always be able to find one that suits your individual circumstances. Getting a BMW can be a big financial commitment and you want to be completely sure that you won’t be stretching yourself financially by making the purchase.

Used or New?

Ask yourself whether you are keen to buy a new BMW or a used BMW. Rest assured, the high quality design and excellent parts and manufacturing means that even used BMWs are a pleasure to drive.
If you’re worried about the cost of buying a new BMW, find a used vehicle – either through a dealership or a private sale – and do your research. Check out how many miles it has done, whether it has any finance owing on it as well as asking questions about its maintenance record.

Car finance is available for both new and used BMWs so you won’t be restricted on options.

Finding the right car finance option for you

There are lots of different options when it comes to car finance and if you’re thinking of getting a BMW, you’ll probably want to start exploring some of them.
Ask yourself the following questions:

• Will I be using the BMW for business primarily or leisure purposes?
• Do I want to buy a new or a used BMW?
• Which model of BMW do I want to get?
• What is the approximate cost of the car that I want to purchase?
• How much will I need to borrow for the car?
• Do I want a secured or an unsecured car loan?

If you’re unsure about any of these questions, you can ask for expert help. Finding the right lender means finding a company with expert brokers who will give you access to a variety of lenders as well as being able to talk you through potential car finance options and to give advice on interest rates and fees.

Things to remember

Once you have found the right car finance option for you, it’s really important that you plan ahead. There are some of our top tips for using car finance successfully:

• Always make your repayments on time and in full – if you need to set reminders in your calendar or to set up a direct debit to do so, go for it. Failing to make repayments can affect your credit rating.

• Remember to factor in ongoing costs such as maintenance, repair and fuel. Car finance isn’t the end of your expenses, in fact it’s just the beginning. Always have a back up budget for unexpected costs such as repair work.

• Don’t overstretch yourself financially – find a car finance option that allows you to pay it back in full each month without struggling to make ends meet. You need to be realistic when you budget for car finance even if you really want to get a higher spec model or a bigger BMW.

Owning a luxury car like a BMW is one of life’s great pleasures for many Australian drivers. If you’re wanting to enjoy all the great benefits of a BMW but aren’t sure whether you can afford it or not, why not consider car finance?

The festive season is fast approaching and for many car dealerships, it can be the busiest time of the year. As your customer base increases, it is important to make sure you take advantage of the lead up to the holidays. Keep reading to discover 5 tips to market your BMW dealership over Christmas and the start of the New Year!

Have a prompt and responsive customer service.

You will have more interest in your dealership leading up to Christmas. For this reason, you need to put extra effort into your customer service. For instance, you could provide intensive training for your customer service team. This will help your employees cope with the busy season. If your team is prepared, you can market your company and respond effectively to an increased demand.

Create stunning marketing content specifically for the holiday periods.

If you want to appeal to more people, invest money in holiday-themed marketing content. A picture is worth a thousand words, and there are many psychology studies that back this claim. Make sure you hire an experienced graphic designer. He or she can help you create your festive marketing content. Powerful designs will help you to reach out to your customer base about new deals and products.

If you have any sales or special offers, make sure you advertise them properly.

Over the Christmas period, many businesses will offer special holiday promotions and discounts. However, many BMW dealership owners don’t advertise effectively. You can print posters, personally tell customers in store, and post on social media. Whatever you need to do to get that deal out there! There is no point having a Christmas deal if no one knows about it.

Be active on visually-focused social media platforms, like Instagram and Tumblr.

Social media is the most effective way to get your BMW dealership noticed. Many marketing studies suggest that people respond strongly to visual media. This is why many major brands and companies have a team that focuses on social media content. The holiday season is a great time to start working on your social media game! Use Instagram and Tumblr to present products and share your visual brand!

Develop a strong email marketing campaign.

If you don’t already focus on email marketing it’s time to get started! Emails are a simple and effective way to communicate with past and future customers.

People sign up to email subscriptions if they had a positive experience with a company. They also sign up if they are interested in a company, or in what it offers.

This is why it’s important to sign up every client who makes a transaction with you. This way, you can keep them engaged with your dealership. It’s also a great idea to include an email subscription form on your website. This means that any potential customer will have the option to learn about deals and more.

There are many ways to develop a strong email marketing campaign. First, make sure you have a personal and engaging subject headline. Mentioning the user’s first name in the heading can grab their attention. It’s a good way to encourage them to click through to your email content.

In your emails make sure that you offer something of value. It can be anything from a special discount, important news, or an interesting article. If your emails don’t offer anything many customers may ‘unsubscribe’.

The holiday season is a great reason to get in touch with your customer base. Whether you want to wish everyone a safe holiday season or update your customers with new products. Now is the time to do it.

Many customers will become interested in car-dealerships through word-of-mouth recommendations or advertisements. This is why it is so important to keep people engaged with your dealership. If they care about your company, there is a higher chance that they will be returning customers. Even better, they might recommend the dealership to a friend.

The Christmas season is very competitive in the retail industry. You have to be prepared to deliver exceptional customer service. This is why you should have a memorable media campaign. Through email marketing, you can develop a personal relationship with your customers. These are just some of the ways you can use the holidays to boost your sales. The new BMW M3 should be out soon and some people are worried that it will feature automatic only transmissions. Though this has been rumored, executives are still considering a manual gearbox for the vehicle. If BMW ops for a manual gearbox on the M3, it will be one of the few sports sedans in its class to do so as other manufacturers have primarily opted for automatic transmissions. The company is also trying to decide between a traditional rear-wheel drive system or an all-wheel-drive system.

Whether it has an automatic or manual, the new M3 and M4 powertrains are expected to produce nearly 500 hp with the optional Competition package. The engine should be the same 3.0-liter inline six that is used in the upcoming X3M and X4M. The base engine should produce 450 hp.

Engineers decided years ago that modern automatic transmissions provide superior performance over manual gearboxes. Automatics are also more efficient and faster. Executives at BMW’s M division have confirmed that manual transmissions will be used until the next generation of vehicles, but because of advances in autonomy, they will eventually be phased out. Fortunately for manual lovers, this will not happen soon.

Buyers in the United States have the highest demand for BMW manual gearboxes and is one of the main reasons the M series line will continue with manual transmissions. The BMW M2 competition with a manual gearbox has an over 50 percent buy rate in the United States. For this reason, BMW is making every effort to give customers what they want because ultimately profits do matter.

Despite the engineering data that automatics are better, many drivers still prefer manuals from an emotional and historical standpoint. So, for now, BMW will make every effort to fulfill these demands.

The decision to eventually dump the manual gearbox has created a lot of debate and upset enthusiasts who don’t believe that a dual-clutch automatic transmission can outperform a manual gearbox. I mean historically one of the reasons people purchased manual gearboxes was for the increased power and speed. According to experts, there are eleven sports cars on the road that perform better with automatics, this includes the BMW M3. Yes, enthusiasts will say manuals are more fun and give you a better sense of control, but eventually, they will be a thing of the past so enjoy them while they last.

I originally received my driver license from the Georgia Department of Motor Vehicles(DMV). My next driver license was from the Texas DMV. My current driver license was issued thru the California DMV.

Now that BMW has already revealed the 8-Series range, comprising both the Coupe and the Convertible, it has also confirmed that the long-rumored M8 would also find its way into the market starting next year.

The future BMW M8 is also set to be the company`s most powerful ‘M’ model ever built, more powerful than the recently unveiled M5 and M5 Competition. According to BMW representatives, it will also be more lightweight than the 8-Series, which already uses such materials like carbon fiber, aluminum or magnesium. This would enable better sprint and thus better performance numbers. On the other hand, the M8 Convertible will also benefit from an optional carbon fiber roof.

In current state, BMW M5 Competition uses a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, with 617 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque, enabling an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in a staggering 3.3 seconds.

Now, imagine the upcoming BMW M8 with even greater power. Even if BMW has kept the info hidden, recent rumors stated that it would use “a high-revving” V8 TwinPower Turbo with more than the M5`s 617 horsepower. The peak torque would stand somewhere at around 850 Nm of torque. Besides that, it would also use an M xDrive all-wheel drive system, and that`s a confirmation already, and which would guarantee at least 0,2 second faster acceleration in the straight-line.

The new engine and xDrive all-wheel drive system are not the only things that will make it faster than the M5. As aforementioned, the new model will be more lightweight than the newly-unveiled 8-Series range (M850i particularly), using more M Components Parts which have already been proven effective on that matter.

Mechanically, the BMW M8 will also receive some important upgrades which will improve stability, body structure and provide greater stance and grip. Also, the high-performance suspension system will deliver “exceptional directional stability, steering precision and cornering dynamics.”

As for official unveiling, rumors state that we might see the BMW M8 Coupe in its full flash at the 2019 Geneva Motors Show, with deliveries to start towards the third quarter of the year. It will be shortly followed by the M8 Convertible and M8 Gran Coupe. Until further news emerge, feel free to admire the new BMW M8 Coupe in the spy shots below!
