Last week we were lucky enough to be invited to Graduate Fashion Week by Farfetch. Not since we were students there ourselves {many, many moons ago!!} have we properly looked around the exhibition so we were really keen to check out the students work and see what they had to offer. Well to put it mildly we were blown away by the talent and sheer hard work that was obvious by the work that was on show and a continuous, running theme throughout lots of projects on display and on the catwalk was: sustainability. This was super interesting and tied in perfectly as we also got the chance to listen to a talk by Farfetch‘s Head of Sustainability Thomas Berry. Now for those of you, like us, that are slightly new to Farfetch it is a website showcasing stock from brands and boutiques worldwide. These companies can sell their products through Farfetch so you can find practically every luxury label aswell as more niche designer brands being sold and their new initiative is to champion ethical and sustainable fashion in a hub on the website called Positively Conscious. Here you will find pieces from brands taking positive steps to be […]

Every summer season there are styles that we reach for that make outfitting in the warmer months so much easier. Seriously, how ruddy nice is it to throw on a dress, grab a basket, stick on your sandals and off you go. We were chatting the other day about Espadrilles and how we’ve been wearing them every Summer for the past 6-7-8-9 years as they just make any Spring summer outfit look pretty and dressy but are so bloody comfortable too. {Jeeez we are sweary today, sorry Mums} Seems like shoes really gets our emotions running high! This Spring so far we’ve already had loads of wear out of our Mint Velvet espadrilles and have also been loving revisiting our peach suede Dida Ritchie style from last Summer too {we love the platform for extra leg lengthening} Today however we are talking…… black sandals.     Another Summer wardrobe staple and saviour: get a good pair and we promise it’ll see you through from everyday outfits to a laid back smarter look. We style ours with anything and everything from our basic jeans & boho blouse to feminine, floaty dresses. Is there anything better than a full, swishy dress mixed […]

We do always harp on about finding the colours you love and sticking within a palette when shopping to make your life outfits easier to put together and this is a general rule we stick to. Our Instagram feed is testimony to this. So for 2 gals who usually favour shades of pink and red, mixed with neutrals and denim this colour has recently worked its way into our outfits and we are not mad about it! We first had a thing with Emerald in our own collections years ago where we made a green floor length flock that it customers and celebrities alike well, liked, but we hadn’t worn it ourselves for quite a while until this Mint Velvet 2 piece caught our eyes. So here we find ourselves offering up our love of the green good stuff in a post dedicated to the emerald shade. If you are feeling bold then join us in wearing 1 of your 5 a day, we are pretty sure it’ll make you really HaPEA.             Alice wears top by Zara, skirt c/o Mint Velvet, shoes c/o Mint Velvet, bag by Ebay, sunglasses by Rayban Hannah wears jacket […]

You know that feeling when you find a fiver in the bottom of your handbag or see the most perfect vintage find at a fair, sort of what we imagine winning the lottery feels like but on a smaller scale. Well that’s how we feel upon discovering a new fashion brand that we love and today that brand we are talking about is French label Sezane. Believe us when we say is Tres Jolie. In recent years we’ve been more and more gravitating towards independent French brands, recently you may have seen us wearing Rouje and Antik Batik plus our main stay big squeezes Chloé and Isabel Marant of course. Founded in 2013 by Parisian Morgane Sézalory, the label hits all the good spots: stylish yet wearable, pretty yet practical, fantastic quality yet affordably priced, sexy with a bookish twist. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t want to look like a cool, French girl?!? The shapes are classic with feminine detailing in a sophisticated colour palette combined with playful prints and cute embroideries. Sezane is designing for that need to look put together but not look too precious. Clothes to really love and wear, not just to hang in your […]

We think it must be the time of year and the fact that we have lived in jeans and jumpers for the past few months but Spring always has us super excited for new trends and additions to our wardrobes. While we won’t be doing an official  “trend round up” here on this blog we will be showcasing seasonal direction we feel fits with our personal styles {i.e. neon lime green, you are not the one for us} so watch this space for more of our style but with ss19 newness. For now, as an emerging styling trend that you can adopt into your wardrobe right now we introduce: the trouser tuck. One part pirate, one part equestrian, one part Kate Moss, we first had a feeling for tucking baggy tailored trousers into our growing collection of knee high and mid calf length boots last month while putting together outfits for London Fashion Week. We mixed a lilac suit trouser with a tan western calf boot and LOVED the vibe. It seemed you guys did too {see for yourself here} and we’ve since seen a few street style shots from Milan and Paris Fashion Weeks with girls working this look. For […]

This week we have been on cloud nine as the sun has been shining like a super trooper. Honestly it’s been utterly delightful. So while Spring has been dangling that carrot in front of us, we are well and truly chomping at the warmer weather bit to get into some new seasons styles and ditch the layers we’ve been living in. Until the temperatures hit 20 plus our usual ‘go- to’ style is a midi length. Ok some of you might say “Belle & Bunty in floral dresses, what’s new?!” Or Florals for Spring, groundbreaking, further more with all the satin midi skirts we have been wearing it’s pretty clear midi is our favourite length but you know what, we are sticking with what we know/love and buying into a length we know we’ll get wear out of, now and throughout the Summer.     So here we have 2 of our current floral midis, both featuring a micro ditsy print that makes wearing a print easier than something bolder but is extremely flattering at concealing any lumps or bumps that a plain colour may show (although we can pretty much guarantee we’ll be rocking our fave Commando shorts underneath anyway) As usual we’ve styled these […]

Keeping it short and sweet with a shopping post dedicated to Britney and Justin circa 2001 {if you don’t know the reference please google it for a major LOL} Double Denim. Love it or hate it its a look we reach for again and again, especially when having one of those “stuck for what to wear” days. Our main style rule is to try and match washes but apart from that anything goes! Layer your denim away!         Alice wears top c/o H&M, jeans c/o H&M, boots by Chloe, bag by Chloe, sunglasses by Urban Outfitters {similar here} Hannah wears jacket by Gap {similar here} jeans by Sezane, boots by Next {similar here}, bag by Chloe, sunglasses by Rayban     Photos by James Thompson So what do you think, are you a double denim lover like us?!

It’s not something that we thought we’d be writing here TBH but we dressed in the biggest, most floral princesses dresses last week and we LOVED it. On the sartorial scale we are probably on the girly end with our love of colour plus we don’t shy away from ruffles, frills and all styles of dresses but we also try to balance this out with a masculine twist. Our natural style is ALWAYS to add a boxy mans blazer, worn in pair of straight leg jeans or a chunky boot/shoe/trainer to tone down the feminine frills and potential “fuss” to something more paletable and less 8 year olds doll. These dresses are next level girly but we dare you to try one on and NOT fall in love with the wafting layers of tulle and tiers of fabric swishing at your feet.     We were invited by the Holkham Estate to visit and one look at the stunning venue told us we needed something a little special and grand enough to fit with the Hall and these dresses 100% ticked that box. Controversial but we are feeling like quite a few Insta~outfits showing up on our feeds are getting […]

Let’s not pussy foot around the issue. It’s The Circle of Life: animal print lifespans that is. First we had leopard which became a basic #leopardisaneutral, then we had snake, throw in a spot of zebra and a good smattering of tiger. If you are anything like us then your wardrobe is looking like a right royal menagerie. And we are not complaining. When you feel like you may have explored all the leo options there’s nothing for it but to cheat on cheetah with a touch of tiger. We can’t find our dresses online {#fail} but these pieces are in the same colour and print as Hannah’s: Rixo kicked off the trend and the silhouettes remain simple to let the print do the talking: How the high street are tackling the trend: Alice wears dress by H&M, boots c/o L.K.Bennett {last season}, bag c/o Hill & Friends, jacket by Sezane, sunglasses by Rayban Hannah wears dress c/o H&M, boots c/o Jones the Bootmaker {similar here}, bag by Chloé at Bicester Village, vintage Levi jacket, sunglasses by Rayban     Photos by James Thompson As always come and find us over Instagram!
