Oman is an amazing country, with friendly people, beautiful landscape, stunning nature and rich culture. There are many Oman based bloggers and vloggers, who are promoting tourism in Oman by sharing their travel photographs and experiences. They are also promoting the travel outside of Oman. Most of these bloggers and vloggers are residents in Muscat. However one of them lives in Salalah too.
Salalah Based Blogger
There are couple of vloggers in Salalah but very few bloggers live in Salalah. One of them is Hussain.
Hussain is perhaps the most popular Salalah based blogger, who is traveling the world and sharing his experience. As a resident of Salalah, he has first hand knowledge about Salalah and other parts of Oman. Hussain has explored Salalah, Jabal Akhdar,Jabal Shams, Muscat, Dhalkut and other tourist attractions in Oman. His travel blog, Travel with Hussain focus on beautiful places and delicious halal food across the globe and particularly that of Oman and Karachi, Pakistan.
Economic downturns have certainly rippled its negative effects across the Middle East. The gulf region was impacted at an extent that might have been lower than neighboring regions yet, people’s awareness of the issue lead to a change in purchasing behavior patterns. People now are more likely to purchase what they need, or wait for certain times of the year when discounts are available. Cars for sale in Oman have dropped recently due to the uncertain economic environment. This made car vendors (Car Dealerships) to come up with ways to get to the bottom of the issue.
The first solution was to offer cost efficient cars for sale amongst the dealership’s car collection. Although these cars are at a lower price than the cars driven in the area, they work just fine. The cars for sale in this case are from the SUV models that are less pricey and they include Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, Nissan Rogue Hybrid, Lexus RX-450h, and the Toyota Highlander Hybrid. Other fuel and cost efficient cars for sale that are suitable for the varying Omani terrains are the saloon and hatchback cars. The Volkswagen Polo Hatchback, Ford Fiesta Hatchback, Honda Insight, and the iconic Toyota Camry are all cars for sale offered in the Oman car market.
When it comes to the optimal timing to consider looking into cars for sale in Oman, Ramadan is the best. The holy month in the Muslim majority country is a sacred timing for performing acts of worship and doing good in the community. Many retailers especially, car dealerships that have cars for sale, tend to offer discounts on the cars in their showrooms. The competition between car dealerships are at its peak, campaigns and advertisements are everywhere from social media to billboards in Oman, and customers can make great deals on the cars for sale. The cars for sale in that period appear with high value packages that include, warranties, free gifts (TVs, Latest Phones, and Cash), mileage warranty for a few years period, and free service before the car has reach a certain mileage.
Finally, the following tips generally increases the chance of finding cars for sale at an excellent price. Early in the week is a great time to visit a showroom where cars for sale are being sold because, it will not be as busy as the weekend or the first day of the week; allowing you to negotiate with the sales person and find the most suitable car that caters your needs. The last months of the year (October, November, and December) have a decline in the car prices especially, since new models of the car have been launched.

When it comes to population density, Oman is considered to be one of the least populated areas. Not even one city in Oman has reached a million residents. The range of individuals living in the post populated cities are from 101,640 to 797,000. Muscat, which is the capital of Oman is the highest populated area, followed by Seeb (Coastal Area), Salalah (second largest city in Oman), Bawshar, Sohar (the former ancient capital), As Suwayq (referring to market in Arabic), and Ibri (filled with archaeological landmarks). Finding apartments for rent and apartments for sale in those areas depends on your budget, preference of scenery, and the facilities available in each city.
It is usually recommended to consider the apartments for sale or apartments for rent in the busier areas of town as they offer a wider range of services and opportunities. More social events, sport facilities, better healthcare and education are usually found in the main cities of Oman. Not to mention the world class shopping experience and the finest, national and international cuisines. Plus, there is nothing that lives up to the beauty of diversity and integration of people from different cultures and countries both in the work and education fields.
A more recent legislation in Oman has allowed the expatriates to gain residency for them and members of their immediate family once they have bought an apartment for sale in ant ITC (Integrated Tourism Complexes) developments in the country. This goes along Oman “Vision 2020” that intends to rely on sources of revenue besides oil production. Apartments for sale will certainly amp up the revenues incurred by the Sultanate especially, that expatriates are allowed to purchase real estate of their own in places like Muscat Hill, The Waves, and Jabal Sifah. There are apartments for rent in Muscat Hill, and in The Waves.
Technology has certainly simplified many aspects of life, including the search for apartments for rent and apartments for sale. The conventional method of driving around in one’s favorite neighborhood to find a sign that says apartment for rent or apartment for sale is not the easiest method anymore. Websites such as OpenSooq, and the real estate website Engel & Voelkers. The apartments are priced over two main aspects – their location, and the number of bedrooms. In the first quarter of 2018, the apartment for sale prices in Oman ranged from 21,850 OMR to 237,500 OMR.
There are many well-known neighborhoods in Oman that people prefer to live in for several reasons. In Muscat, Al Qurum is regarded as the heart of the city and a major tourist attraction that has a lot of entertainment and service facilities. Madinat al Sultan Qaboos, named after the current leader of the Sultanate, is one of the most prestigious areas. As to Shatti Al Qurum, it is considered to be where most 5 star hotels are located, making it a pricier neighbourhood. Ruwi, however, is where many expatriates reside in apartments for rent due to its more affordable prices.
