AXYZ International was founded in 1990 as a machinery service company, primarily servicing, selling and installing CNC machinery including several brands of CNC routers. AXYZ provide 366,918 standard CNC Router configurations, specialising in matching an industrial/heavy-duty CNC router to customer's unique needs and budget.
An important development to AXYZ Automation Group’s entry into the waterjet cutting technology sector has been the launch of the new A-Series of WARDJet machines and in particular the A-0612 model. This is a smaller and more compact version of the larger-format X-Series, sharing similar design and performance characteristics but at a lower cost in order to meet a market requirement for which hitherto there were limited options.
With a 213 x 124cm footprint, the A-0612 will fit perfectly into the workflow of any small engineering shop or machining centre to process materials as diverse as stainless steel, cast and wrought iron, various alloys such as brass and bronze, marble, stone, glass and fibreglass and solid and composite rubber formulations. These materials are used for an equally diverse range of industries, including the aerospace, automotive, metal and glass fabrication, plating/finishing and electric/electronics sectors for which waterjet cutting is the most appropriate CNC machining solution.
A key attribute of the A-0612 is that whilst similarly positioned waterjet machines operate at pressures ranging from 30,000 to 45,000psi, the A-0612 will operate at 60,000psi. This equals the performance of a full-size waterjet but at a lower cost and enables the processing of a similarly wide range of materials within the same timeframe. Furthermore, in being able to operate at this higher pressure the amount of abrasive needed for the cutting process is commensurately lower, thereby further reducing installation and ongoing operating costs for machine owners.
As with the larger WARDJet systems, the A-0612 features a lightweight, robust and rigidly constructed modular solid steel frame gantry to accommodate more vigorous machine operation. It also incorporates multiple cutting tool heads, an industrial-grade rack and pinion drive system for optimum cutting accuracy and the elimination of problems frequently encountered with lower cost and lower performance belt-driven machines and an optional water level control system and cutting table enclosure. These drastically reduce splashback to assist water conservation, in addition to lowering noise levels in the workplace and thus further enhancing the environmental credentials of the A-0612.
In common with other WARDJet machines, the A-0612 is supported by the proprietary and dedicated Move motion control software. Machine owners also have ongoing access to the AXYZ Automation Group’s team of specialist engineers.
Acrylic is fast becoming the number one choice to replace glass in the sign and graphics industry. For one, it’s stronger, more robust, and lighter, making it the ideal solution for commercial use. Equally important, is its cost. Acrylic helps you save money, so you can allocate extra funds to other areas that facilitates business growth. But what about those edge finishes? Without a versatile router like the Infinite, you might end up with edges that look sloppy and unprofessional. If you’re in the business of making Point of Purchase (POP) displays, this will either make or break the effectiveness of your presentation. Take a look at any POP display in a high-end retail store and you’ll notice how smooth those edges are. To get that same polished cut, you’re going to have to invest in a CNC router. Not only will your acrylic edges be more polished, but unnecessary steps like sanding and using a flame polisher are eliminated. This saves time, improves production efficiency and guarantees a quality finish every time.
3 FEATURES FOR QUALITY EDGE FINISHES
A strong machine is a key starting point to successfully create your POP display. When we redesigned the Infinite Router, we made it more versatile than its ever been before. This makes acrylic easier to cut, get clean edges and produces higher volumes. Other factors include:
A strong, rigidbase – The Infinite is a heavy-duty router that allows you to couple a strong base with a stiff, solid gantry. A strong structure supports quality edge finishing, offering a robust and reliable unit while helping to minimize vibration and movement.
Helical rack systems and servo drive motors – Both help to deliver smooth movement and greater accuracy. As a result, vibration is kept to a minimum. The Infinite can cut at a higher speed, producing higher volumes without losing quality.
A competent vacuum hold-down system – The vacuum hold down ensures material stays in the correct place throughout the cutting process. Even the slightest material movement can put the software program, spindle and material out of sync, invariably ruining the acrylic piece completely.
SELECTING THE RIGHT TOOLS
Choosing the right tools and accessories will have a huge impact on the quality of your edge, and the overall look of your POP display. When choosing collets and router bits, keep the following tips in mind:
Choose the right type of collet to fit your spindle. Collets come in all shapes and sizes, so buy one that best suits your machine or you’ll end up with poor quality cutting. Visit the collets selection in cncshop.com for specific dimensions and spindle types.
Change the collets regularly. After 3 to 6 months of use, they won’t hold a router bit as straight and true as when they were new. This will also help to prolong tool life.
Match the collet shank with the tool shank diameter. Manufacturers often quote sizes in metric and imperial, so make sure you read the data correctly to avoid mistakes.
Determine what kind of flute you need (i.e., single, twin or triple flue), as there is an enormous choice of CNC Router tooling available. Selecting the right tool for the job can make the difference between a perfectly smooth and clean cut, or something that looks like it’s been hacked out with a saw. Read our past technical tip, “The difference between Upcut and Downcut CNC Router Bits”
Use a high-quality router bit when machining acrylic. An upward spiral, single flute geometry usually gives best results. The upward geometry provides a smooth and consistent finish and ensures optimal chip extraction.
For best cut quality, always choose a tool with the shortest flute length that will cut through your material. This helps to reduce cutter deflection and chatter.
Use the Infinite to transform your POP displays into ones that stand out from the competition. It’s the only router you’ll need to handle one of the most challenging jobs with optimal performance and precision.

HOW IT WORKS
The PANELTracker works in conjunction with the PANELBuilder software, designed for two types of users:
1. Project Manager, who creates the projects.
2. General User/Operator, who scans the panels.
The system involves 4 key processes:
The Project Manager creates the project using the PANELBuilder software. This is where the panel shapes are designed and cut, according to customer specifications. Once this is complete, the data file is exported into the PANELTracker system.
The Operator uses the RPD file in PANELTracker to cut the panels on the AXYZ CNC Router. Then, the panels are scanned and marked as “cut” in the system, and the file is updated.
Once the panels are cut, the Operator will add extrusions to the panels. The panels are scanned again and marked as “fabricate” in the system. The file is updated with this new information.
Finally, the Operator will prepare the panels for shipping. Panels are scanned, the file is updated and the panels are now identified as ‘packed”. On the day of pickup, the Operator will generate a packing slip for the packing crate, where the panels are stored. The PANELTracker updates the status of the crates as “shipped”.
Done! From production to packaging and finally shipping – keeping track of individual panels has never been easier!
At any point in the process, you can scan a damaged or defective panel. This will:
1. Send an email to the Project Manager with the details of the damaged panel. This also identifies where the damage occurred in the 4-step process.
2. Send the single part .NC file, so the panel can be easily reproduced.
The PANELTracker simplifies the panel tracking process for all PANELBuilder customers. It’s an automated solution that is as cost effective as it is production efficient. Exclusive to AXYZ – there’s no other inventory tracking system like it.

As demands for plastic products continue to increase, businesses are turning to manufacturing automation to help them thrive in a competitive marketplace. CNC machines play a huge role in this strategy, effectively broadening a shop’s capabilities and reducing times for completing projects. If you’re a plastic fabricator looking for a robust machine that can cut parts quickly, the new Infinite Router is hard to beat. As the latest addition to the AXYZ product line, the Infinite is the new go-to router that maximises growth as it increases productivity levels. In today’s plastic fabrication market, you can’t have one without the other.
A ROUTER YOU CAN RELY ON
You may have heard that AXYZ makes routers that are highly customisable, but did you know that the chances of the Infinite breaking down are extremely low? The reason for this is simple. We’ve used our 25 plus years’ experience to redesign the machine from the ground up, maximising the benefits that will help you get the most out of your machine. Some of these include:
A strong structure to support the most demanding processes, resulting from the new heavy-duty base, gantry legs and optional body kit.
Easier access for service, created from the redesigned welded carriage that ensures sturdiness and a sleeker aesthetic.
A reduction in clogging and ability to use longer tables, due to the new dust extraction system.
Improvements with cut finishes and longer tool bit life, resulting from the new Unist mister with fixed copper wands.
OPTIONS MAKE IT VERSATILE
There’s nothing worse than seeing your material fly off the table due to a faulty hold-down system. When you use optional Auto Vacuum Zoning, smaller plastic parts are held securely in place, making it easier to cut them with greater precision.
If automation is important to you, consider the Automatic Tool Changer (ATC), an option that automatically selects the correct tool according to how its been programmed in the software. This saves valuable time by cutting out the manual effort normally used for this function, allowing the job to be finished as quickly as possible. If this is an option you’re thinking about for the future, your machine must be “ATC ready”. This means that the gantry should have enough space at the end to install the carousel, making the gantry asymmetrical in appearance.
Whether you’re machining materials like acrylic, Lexan or PVC or creating products for retail, point of sale or signage, the Infinite Router is versatile enough to quickly cut all types of plastics, delivering a clean, polished cut edge every time.
Sometimes you just have to see it to believe it. We’ve posted a multitude of videos on our website that highlight various routers and options in action. Watch how zones are activated and deactivated with Auto Vacuum Zoning or check out how the ATC loads tools automatically without the manual use of an operator.

2,133mm x 5,486mm (84” x 216”) – Ideal for fabricators of high-pressure laminates.
EXCLUSIVE EASY-TO-USE SOFTWARE
Integrated with the redesigned PANELBuilder solution is the new PANELTracker Management System. Outfitted with the Automated Label Printer (ALP), the printer quickly labels and identifies individual panels as they are machined by printing 1D or 2D Data Matrix Codes, as well as standard text, directly on the material. This eliminates valuable time wasted on manually writing product codes or misidentifying panels as they move through manufacturing. By reducing inefficient processes like these, production costs are lower. Labels are then printed or engraved on the panel and the system even supports barcode labelling.
Existing CAD users will be happy to learn that PANELBuilder software incorporates easy-to-use CAD/CAM software allowing flexible nesting, automation and machine programming functionality. Combine this with the optional Cordless Barcode Reader, and you’ve got an all-in-one solution specifically designed for the panel fabrication industry.

INCREASING EFFICIENCY MINIMIZES CARBON FOOTPRINT
Equally as important and time-sensitive is PANELBuilder’s ability to improve production efficiency through eco-friendly initiatives. If reducing your carbon footprint is a priority, you’ll appreciate how it automatically stores leftover sheet remnants that you can use for future jobs, or automatically cuts extra copies of commonly used parts in any leftover areas of a sheet, as ‘filler parts”. This makes it a more cost-efficient process as it decreases the cost per panel. It also maintains a library of standard material types and sizes, automatically updated globally as well as on a project basis. This ensures you always have the right types and quantities of material available at all times. With its redesigned aesthetic, enhanced options and same high-quality performance, the newly designed PANELBuilder continues to be the number one solution for panel fabricators everywhere.

More tool selection means more opportunities for cutting strategies, and this helps keep those creative juices flowing.
Reduces total production time and makes processes more efficient.
It’s safer, as it eliminates the need for staff to change the tools directly.
Less risk of loss or damage to tools when manually changing them
Easier to use heavy and large multi-tools.
HOW IT WORKS
To set the system up with new tools a single function on the AXYZ SMARTConsoleis used to tell the system to pick up each tool and automatically calibrate them on the tool length sensor, conveniently located directly on the carousel unit itself. Once this operation is complete, you’re all set and ready to start machining. No operator involvement is required, and the system automatically selects the correct tool according to those defined in the program and finishes the job as quickly as possible.
The Automatic Tool Changer is compatible with all quick-release, high power routing spindles. As one of our most popular configuration options, the Automatic Tool Changer is compatible with all AXYZ, Pacer, Trident, and PANELBuilder CNC machines.
Before you can place an order, you need to make sure that your CNC Router is ATC ready. If you’re not sure, take a look at the gantry. It should have enough space at the end to install the carousel, which will make the gantry asymmetrical in appearance. If that’s the case, then you’re all set to go!
Here’s a video of the Automatic Tool Changer in action – the perfect solution to increasing productivity on your CNC Router.
