A Style Album is curated by two friends who love to share Fashion finds, Style inspiration & Lifestyle tips with each other. Whether it be a recently dicovered Fashion label, a must try Beauty product or a newly opened Restaurant, if they love it, they will be sharing it.
If you follow @astylealbum or my personal account @emmarosestyle you’ve more than likely seen my mirror shot. It’s the easiest way to snap my outfit in the morning and means if I don’t find a poor soul to take my outfit picture that day or I can’t find the right spot to capture said outfit I can rely on my mirror shot for content. I think (hope) people enjoy seeing them as it’s real-life outfits, looks I’ve pulled together from my existing wardrobe or new pieces that are available to buy. I know I enjoy looking at outfit pictures on Instagram that inspire me to team things a little differently or let me know about a must-have new in piece that’s just dropped (hello Polka Dot Topshop Dress) or a brand I hadn’t previously known. Here’s a recap of my most recent outfits in case you’re not on Instagram (do these people exist?)
I fell for this dress a while ago but had to wait patiently for it to come back into stock. As soon as it arrives, it sells out. I’m still longing for the green version and the jumpsuit.
Dress Rouje (similar Ganni)| Trainers Celine
Wearing my A Style Album hoody! Typical it’s a heat wave as soon as we launched our hoody collection, so we haven’t been able to wear as much as we hoped but it’s perfect to have on hand for chilly mornings and evenings during this hot spell.
Hoody A Style Album| Trainers Celine| Jeans Rag & Bone
A make-up free Saturday trying on my latest H&M purchase. Super impressed with this dress, thanks to the price & simple style it sold out pretty quickly but they did have some available in store.
Dress H&M| Sliders Hermes
The day our hoodies arrived so excuse the boxes. This dress is by Staud, and it’s already proved to be a great buy. I love Red and, of course, a midi dress, so it’s my dream combo.
Dress Staud| Trainers Converse| Necklace Alighieri
& Other Stories always design a hit dress for the season, and this is it for me. A super flattering shape and so comfortable to wear, I’ve teamed with some dad trainers, the Balenciaga Triple S that I’d been lusting after for months!
Dress & Other Stories| Trainers Balenciaga| Sunnies Celine
You all know by now how much we love a blazer, so how to cope during the Summer Months without our go-to Fashion piece? We turn to the Summer Blazer. Lightweight and lighter in colour, the summer blazer will keep us from the evening chill in style when a Denim Jacket isn’t smart enough, and it’s too hot for a leather jacket. Pastel Pink, Ivory and White seem to be our preferred colours. Team with your jeans or a dress for to instantly smarten up your look while keeping your cool.
I‘ve finally got around to booking my Summer Holiday and will be jetting off to my favourite destination Mallorca in a few weeks. Due to the late booking, I’m now in a major panic about my holiday wardrobe. I have most of the staples but want to add a few pieces to up my holiday game. I’ve searched the High Street, and these are the pieces I’m very tempted to purchase to bring with me.
Em wearing Kitri Studio…
I’M OBSESSED WITH THIS JUMPSUIT FROM FREE PEOPLE. THE PERFECT THROW ON AFTER A LONG DAY AT THE BEACH FOR A SUNSET COCKTAIL.
TRUST TOPSHOP TO NAIL IT AGAIN WITH THE MUST-HAVE SUMMER DRESS. JUST WHAT I’M LOOKING FOR TO ADD SOME COLOUR TO MY WARDROBE.
I’VE NEVER ORDERED FROM OWNTHELOOK.COM BEFORE, BUT LOVE THE LOOK OF THE SITE. WEARABLE PIECES WITH A TWIST.
I’ve had my eye on this shirt from Uterque for a while and think it will be the perfect cover-up over a bikini, teamed with Denim Cut-Offs.
I’ve had this dress from Kitri Studio since last Summer, but it’s still available, and an excellent colour to show a golden glow.
Because I still can’t resist Bohemian Vibes in White Lace while I’m on a Balearic Island.
you’ll feel like a real-life emoji girl in this gorgeous dress, add gold hoops, and you’re ready to go.
WHEN FASHION MEETS COMFORT. ADIDAS SLIDERS- A MUST-HAVE FOR ME ON HOLIDAY.
THIS DRESS WILL BE THE FIRST ITEM TO MAKE IT INTO MY CASE, THE PERFECT HOLIDAY PIECE.
Cecilie Copenhagen was one of the first brands we wrote about on A Style Album, and if you go back through the archives you’ll see how much our images and posts have improved since then! As has Cecilie Copenhagen, back when we first high lighted the brand, they had one stockist in the UK- albeit one of the best for discovering new talent- Browns Fashion. They can now add Matches Fashion, Harvey Nichols & Liberty to their list of UK stockists. Cecilie Copenhagen still has a straightforward concept; one piece of fabric in different colour options and styles. We went mad for the print back in 2015, and it has made a comeback in our wardrobes recently, inspired by Lou spotting a girl wearing the pink shorts & top set with converse, reminding her to pull out her skirt from the back of the wardrobe. Cecilie Copenhagen isn’t the only designer to create beautiful clothes inspired by traditional keffiyeh cloth; Rough Studios & Do Do Bar also have a stylish selection. An alternative option for your Summer Wardrobe.
I love a Trainer, so it’s no surprise I fell for the dad trainer trend. I’ve been coveting it for a while but couldn’t get my hands on the ones I wanted. Yes, the elusive Balenciaga Triple S has been on the wish-list forever but proved very difficult to track down. For the price, I had to be sure I’d get my wear out of them, so I’ve done my research to make sure they work with enough looks to justify the hefty price tag. I’ve always been into playing with proportions, teaming chunky boots with dresses and I think a chunky trainer and dress is such a cool look. Not for everyone but I’m fully embracing the look.
It started with Luke Edward Hall’s ‘I Mean The Dream‘ tray and shows no signs of slowing down. The Face Abstract trend is still very much alive in my world; I’ve been wearing my Les Coyotes De Paris Tee to death, have my eye on a Christiane Spangsberg print & just ordered half of the Jackson & Levine for Habitat crockery collection… The only thing I haven’t managed to get my hands on yet are Paola Vilas earrings, but I’m working on it. If you’re not into the floral or polka dot trend and are partial to a monochrome look, this print is the one for you. Subtle yet super stylish.
I should probably mention these trousers too, a last minute panic buy a few backs when I was going out with friends and having a ‘nothing to wear’ moment. I wanted to avoid jeans and midi dresses for a change but felt the tailored trousers I had in my wardrobe were too formal. I found these on matchesfashion.com and took advantage of the 90-minute delivery. They’re See By Chloe and I love the fit, they felt instantly cool the moment I slipped them on. They’re great for an evening with a heel but I’ll also be teaming with flats and my trainers to smarten up my day looks too.
After last year’s failed attempts I finally got my hands on a Cult Gaia bamboo bag. All though they aren’t the most practical, they’re most definitely stylish. It’s already proved to be a great addition to my bag collection and can be paired with my casual wardrobe of jeans and a tee, as well as a dressier look. I teamed it recently with a Polka Dot Midi Dress and Green Satin Kitten Heels, and it completely pulled my outfit together. Even though a little late to the party, my Cult Gaia bag obsession is not over yet.
Everyone needs a fail-safe outfit to turn to, and this is mine right now. My trusty leather jacket from Coach, pricey but most probably the best wardrobe investment I’ve ever made. A Raey black silk slip skirt, I’m loving what Raey are doing right now, classic pieces with just the right amount of edge to keep your look fresh. And my Saint Laurent boots, the perfect heel height for running around town during appointments, they dress a casual outfit up and a dressy outfit down. Also note- all black. I love wearing an all-black outfit; I think it’s chic and forever stylish, and my go-to colour when I need to pull a stylish look together when I have minimal time.
