Here is the Ask the Astrologers Weekly Astro Forecast for the week of May 7, 2018 – May 13, 2018:

We start this week on Monday, with Venus going out of bounds and squaring Neptune. As out of bounds planets are known to be erratic and unpredictable, this one — in Gemini and Pisces respectfully — may see you responding to ambiguous social cues, or sending them out yourself.

Also on Monday, Mercury squares Pluto. This aspect is associated with intrusive thoughts, anxieties and fears. It can feel like your mind is playing tricks on you, convincing you that something is real based on rudimentary “facts.” You want to be careful not to let your imagination run away with you, lest you find yourself growing increasingly paranoid.

This aspect is great for ferreting out hidden information but is not so good at evaluating it objectively. Because there is some danger with this aspect of jumping to conclusions, if you notice yourself getting fixated on something and feeling the urge to act, step back, take a breather and re-evaluate it in a couple days.

The asteroid Vesta goes stationary retrograde on Tuesday, at 4° Capricorn 54. Vesta retrograde may see you reviewing your attitudes about self-sufficiency, autonomy and service to others, and because it’s in Capricorn this is most likely tied to your public persona, your goals and professional ambitions.

On Wednesday, Jupiter opposes the Sun. This aspect can manifest as conflicts with others due to overblown egos or self-importance. This is the time to keep your ego in check and to make sure you’re not coming across to others as too big for your britches.

You may also be dealing with someone who is overbearing during this transit. You won’t make much headway if you try to challenge them, in fact this aspect can degenerate into a battle of wills. Politics and religious or ideological debates are likely to get heated and are unlikely to result in any meeting of the minds. Remember that ego is involved here and no one is going to want to concede defeat.

Venus inconjuncts Jupiter on Thursday.  This aspect can see you having a hard time establishing boundaries, especially with respect to personal indulgences. When is enough, or when is it too much? This is what you’ll have to be asking yourself during this transit.

Keep in mind though that Venus is in Gemini, where it is esoterically exalted. Because of this, any discomfort experienced with the inconjunct aspect is likely to be mitigated.

The Sun trines Pluto on Friday. This transit is all about harnessing your personal power and channeling it in productive / transformative ways. It’s excellent for business and financial matters since both of these planets are in Earth signs. It can also be used to make positive changes in yourself — as in how you wish to present yourself to the outer world and how you want to be perceived.

With the Sun in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn, this is a good time to think about “doing business.” It’s good for working on a budget or looking into investments, or figuring out ways to make (and save) more money.

Mercury squares Mars on Saturday, just as Venus inconjuncts Pluto. This is an interesting set of transits since neither of them are particularly pleasant but both Mercury and Venus are in the signs they rule esoterically. At the same time, Mars is exalted in Capricorn, and at its exact degree of exaltation on this day.

The Mercury / Mars square can be tempestuous so consider taking a breath and count to 10 before you speak — especially if what you say can come across to others as angry or abrasive. It can manifest as harsh words, confrontations, temper tantrums and impatience. And it can also be careless and / or reckless which translates to “accident prone.” Watch your step during this transit, in more ways than one.

The Venus / Pluto aspect is significant in that it involves a planetary pair (as rulers of opposing signs) that are fundamentally tied to relationships. It forces us to re-evaluate our relationship with deep-seated fears and desires and find a way to reconcile them with our personal realities.

Mercury and Uranus are conjunct at 29 Aries (an anaretic degree) on Sunday. The last degree of any sign is said to be “fated” in some way, and this is especially powerful as Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury and as these two planets are in mutual reception.

This transit brings flashes of insight and brilliance to the table. This is a time of tapping into your higher-consciousness. And you may be doing it without even realizing it. You might hear yourself speaking and wonder where did that come from? Or hear something that you’ve heard hundreds of times before and realize that NOW it makes sense.

Mercury / Uranus in Aries is an incredibly powerful combination. It’s progressive, innovative and pioneering, Don’t waste it vegging out in front of the tv. Express your ideas, speak your truth, learn something new and push your mind to its limits.

Later on, Mercury moves into Taurus, and into mutual reception with Venus. Mercury in Taurus is patient, practical and serene. It can be slow and methodical, mainly because it doesn’t see the point in getting its feathers ruffled over things that are likely to iron themselves out over time. The mutual reception can activate the positive energy for both planets, making for enhanced communications, especially where cooperation and collaboration are concerned.

That’s it for this week; see you next week!

ARIES: The Star

Now is the time to acknowledge your dreams and aspirations. The Star card — this version from the beautiful Japaridze Tarot — is a card of Hope and faith in the Universe. It tells you that in spite of all your trials and tribulations, everything is as it should be, and in the end everything is going to be alright.

You could be feeling a renewed sense of hope about a goal that is now starting to feel more reachable. Or you may be feeling inspired to explore your intuition and psychic impressions.

The Star is all about Universal harmony and synchronicity. It’s about being one with the Universe and feeling connected to every single other living thing.

The Star card is associated with Aquarius as the Water Bearer archetype. It is a card of compassion, inspiration, intuition and faith. It also represents a sense of rebirth and renewal. As it follows the Tower card — which is associated with disaster and destruction — it can serve as a welcome refuge or a beacon of hope.

It’s the sense we have that everything will be alright — even if we have to push past our own doubts and fears. It’s also about transmuting those fears and finding a productive outlet for them. Art, music, poetry, dance, creative self-expression are all very meaningful manifestations of the Star card’s energy.

You want to steer clear of negativity this month — yours and anyone else’s. Focus on what is right in your world rather than what could possibly go wrong. if you can do that you’re bound to come out on top.

TAURUS: Ace of Wands

This month you should be focusing on taking charge of your life and making your goals a reality. The Ace of Wands — this version from Nathalie Hertz’s gorgeous Fantastical Tarot — is all about manifesting your dreams and desires.

It’s about taking your life in your own hands. Following your Bliss. And going after your goals with the kind of gusto that makes saying “Yes!” an absolute rather than a maybe. It’s about increased confidence, drive and enthusiasm. Ardor. Vitality. Passion. Creativity. Power. Potential.

The Wand in this card is a pillar of strength. The intricate dragon carvings suggest a sort of magical essence that is very much a part of the Ace of Wands. And there’s beauty and creativity present here as well. The vines and wildflowers springing up from its base reminds us that this card is less about might and more about merriment.

The birds flying in from the distance tell us that there may be messages coming our way. These aren’t always tangible (as in a verbal or written message). But can be gathered from our surroundings and applied just as powerfully.

The Ace of Wands is all about inspiration and potential. It invites you to ask yourself what you really want that you haven’t (up to now) put your whole heart and soul into? And what are the chances of making it a reality unless you do?

This energy is about offering your intentions up to the Universe with every reason to believe you will be rewarded for doing so. With this in mind, it’s time to push all negativity aside and replace it with optimism and inspiration. If you’re truly serious about manifesting your desires, there is no time like the present to do it.

GEMINI: Ten of Cups

This month you want to be counting your blessings, knowing that you’ve come by to a place in your life where you’re aware of what (and whom) truly matters most.

This is the Ten of Cups from the gorgeous Archeon Tarot — speaks of achieving something worth acknowledging and celebrating, as seen in the imagery of this card.

It represents fulfillment and security; a solid foundation of abundance and prosperity, and the sense that you have built something you can take pride in.

This extends well beyond financial or material security. It’s more about family, lasting friendships and a sense of comfort — in your home and your community — surrounded by people you love.

You want to align yourself with a vibration of gratitude as the Ten of Cups speaks of not only getting what you’ve “asked” for (via the law of attraction) but also being thankful for all that you’ve received.

It’s not the time to think about what is lacking in your life but rather what makes it complete. And while you don’t want to be resting on your laurels, it’s important to acknowledge those who are most important to you and who keep your cup continuously full.

Take time this month to let those nearest and dearest to you know how important they are. While the Ten of Cups is also said to indicate the culmination of something, that doesn’t mean you’ve come to the end of the road. This card is all about embracing all you’ve established through your connections and interactions with those who matter most — with your family, friends and loved ones.

CANCER: Nine of Pentacles

This month it’s going to be all about being present in the moment, counting your blessings and being grateful for all that you’ve acquired.

The Nine of Pentacles — this version from the Morgan Greer Tarot — is all about enjoying the bounty that life affords you rather than focusing on what you lack. You may be feeling good about how far you’ve come and deserving of all you’ve been able to acquire. And now is the time to start enjoying it.

There are symbols of abundance and prosperity all throughout this card — from the colors on the card to her lavish jewelry to the bowl of grapes and gold coins around her neck to the partridge on her shoulder. Even the pine bough behind her is said to represent fertility and immortality. The woman in this card appears to be content which what she has: she knows she’s earned and deserves it.

You may not be feeling very “prosperous,” especially if you’ve been struggling to make ends meet. But this card is all about putting that consciousness into perspective, and focusing on what you have rather than what you don’t.

Sometimes the Nine of Pentacles appears as a generous benefactor who opens a door for you that leads to opportunity. In this the case be mindful of his (or her) contribution and give credit where credit is due.

Sometimes it’s an event that turn out to be a catalyst that leads to opportunity. It is this shift in consciousness — to that of prosperity, abundance and gratitude — that will make all the difference in your life. Remember that whatever you put out there — whether it’s time, energy, money or yourself — as well as whatever you’re open to receiving, will all balance out and be replenished over time.

LEO: Seven of Wands

You may find yourself fighting to protect yourself and your loved ones this month. If this is the case then make sure you have a game plan in place because the opposition looks as if they are not taking any heed of your words or actions.

If there is a situation building up in your workplace that looks as if it may blow up you need to take several steps back and watch from the side lines. Do not get embroiled within the game that is being played out here as it looks suspiciously like bullying and the more power you give to this bullying the more the bully will benefit from it.

You may wish to look at what rights you do have because even though you look like the “under dog” (or “under fox”) in this situation you have other avenues to explore and those avenues will need to be you keeping a clear head while you ascertain what legal rights you could use to get this bully off your back.

If you look at the image in this card — the Seven of Wands from the gorgeous Shadowscapes Tarot — you will see that you are perhaps trying to protect others with your behavior or that you are trying to protect what you have earned whether this be your reputation or your position you will not back down and just hand it over without a fight.

There is also the position you hold within the image and it looks as if you are the one whose territory is being encroached on. The other person though is pushy, aggressive and will not back down so for your own sake a new game plan needs to be hatched so that you are seen as the person in the right so that nothing can be misconstrued or used against you. Be a crafty fox… don’t play the bully’s game… play your own. A game they will not see coming.

VIRGO: Eight of Wands

It may feel like things are moving very quickly for you this month, with your ruler (Mercury) moving through three signs before the month is through. As we move into May and the warmer, sunnier months (at least in the Northern Hemisphere) we bring you the Eight of Wands — this version from Charissa Dresden’s  Steampunk Tarot — and a gorgeous array of sunny parasols.

The Eight of Wands is a high energy card that represents a highly focused sense of action and activity. It’s not without distraction: you may find that you have too much going on or too many interests and have to figure out where to direct your attention.

You may also find that you’ve got so much on your plate that you have to scramble to keep up with it all. The Eight of Wands is all about action, progress and momentum. It’s about getting things done and making things happen. It may be as simple as ticking off all the little things on your to-do list, and it may be as significant as making great headway on an important project.

And while it might feel to you like there just aren’t enough hours in the day, you could be surprised when it’s over at how much you really accomplished. The Eight of Wands can also refer to travel. In that respect it relates to being literally and physically on the go.

Are you planning a weekend getaway? Use this extra energy to make preparations for your trip. Keep in mind though that the all this fiery energy can be impatient and therefore somewhat reckless. You want to stay alert and pay attention to your environment if you do end up making travel plans.

Libra: The Empress

This month is going to be more about getting in touch with your feminine side — your loving, nurturing and caring side — than it will be about getting down to “business.”

The Empress card — this version from the beautiful Chrysalis Tarot — is associated with beauty, creativity and love.

She represents the aspects of ourselves that evoke the principles of feminine strength and power. As the counterpart to the Emperor card, this archetype is all about the yin or feminine aspects of parental authority and protection, regardless of gender.

Where the Emperor focuses on wisdom, stability and responsibility, the Empress relates more to nurturing, comfort, support and emotional security. It is the “Earth Mother” archetype personified.

This card represents fertility and abundance. Surrounding yourself with all things living and growing. Being in touch with the earth and your sexuality, as well as your ability to create and foster life.

The Empress is a mother, as depicted in this card. But that doesn’t always translate literally. It can refer to mothering impulses, such as tending to the needs of others.

She’s surrounded by flowers and herbs, and if you look closely you can see that even her headdress and gown are “alive” with plant-life and forest greenery. This is the essence of the Empress card. You do want to make sure you’re not neglecting your own needs while you’re busy taking care of others. You want to tend to your own gardens and nourish your own soul. But as you can see in the imagery in this card, what you give out will come back to you in ways that reverberate endlessly.

New Moon: This month’s New Moon occurs on May 15th at 24° Taurus 36.

Full Moon: The Full Moon occurs on May 29th at 8° Sagittarius 10.

Retrogrades: Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto are all retrograde for the entire month of May.

Ingresses: Mercury enters Taurus on May 13th; Uranus enters Taurus on May 15th; Mars enters Aquarius on May 16th; Venus enters Cancer on May 19th; the Sun enters Gemini on May 21st; and Mercury enters Gemini on May 29th.

Continue reading for complete scopes for each sign:

Aries — March 21-April 19: Mercury is in your sign until the 15th. This should give you plenty of time to undo any of the damage caused through it’s retrograde from last month. Alongside Mercury, you also have Uranus about to leave your sign on the 16th. The 11th through to the 14th should be interesting dates as Mercury and Uranus come into conjunction. See what is around for you at this time as you may be struck with sudden thoughts and ideas which you can put to good use. However, this is not a good time to say what is on your mind without thinking it through clearly as Uranus tends to act without thinking. You may also find that you meet someone who really takes your interest. Moon in your love area 25th and 26th gives you a chance to strengthen your relationship.

Moon in Aries May 12, 13

Taurus — April 20-May 20: Looks like you only have Mercury in your sign this year for a short period, that being from 14th to 30th May. At the same time on the 16th, Uranus will enter your sign for the first time in 84 years. Given that there is also a new moon in your sign on the 15th, you can see how you may be experiencing a new lease on life with new thoughts, compliments of Mercury alongside sudden changes, compliments of Uranus. Any changes you have been wanting to make should come with ease, so use the first half of the month to think about what you may wish to change. The new moon will also help you with this as it is a new beginning. Moon in your love area 1st, 27th, 28th occurs with Venus in an area of your chart which is excellent for communication.

Moon in Taurus May 14, 15 (New)

Gemini — May 21-June 21: Venus is in your sign this month up until the 20th. This should give you a smooth ride in love and relationships. If you are single, great time to meet someone. If you are in a relationship excellent time to smooth over any problems you have been experiencing. As Uranus is due to enter your twelfth house on the 16th you may find yourself feeling a bit adrift. You can use this month to focus more on what you want in life and resist the urge to fight any changes that come your way. Moon in your love area 2nd, 3rd, 29th, 30th and 31st gives you plenty of scope to use these dates to cement changes in your relationship, especially given that you have a full moon to work with on the 29th.

Moon in Gemini May 16, 17

Cancer — June 22-July 23: Nice month for Cancers with Venus in an area of your chart till the 20th giving you a nice dreamy month when it comes to emotions. From the 20th Venus moves in to your sign which will come as an added bonus to your love life. For those of you who are single its a great time to meet someone special. Given, that Mars may have been causing some upsets in your relationship up until the 17th when it was in your relationship area, then it will come as an added relief to experience the benefits Venus can bring you. As you are also dealing with both Saturn and Pluto in your relationship sector your focus will very much be on relationships. Use this month to step back a little from any intense emotions. Moon in your love area 4th, 5th and 6th can be a time to say what is on your mind and expect some positive changes.

Moon in Cancer May 18, 19

Leo — July 24-August 23: Mars will be paying your love life a visit from the 17th onward. This is the time to pay special attention to your partner. If you are single it is a great time to meet someone special and the attraction should be instant. Given that you may have found yourself focusing a little too much on work lately then you deserve to give yourself a break from the many frustrations that have come your way. You can put this down to compliments of a retrograde Pluto and Saturn in that area of your chart. As Uranus enters your career sector you may also find yourself a little restless in your current job. Keep this in mind if you are wishing to change directions. Moon in your love area 7th and 8th is a time to spend with a special someone.

Moon in Leo May 20, 21

Virgo —  August 24-September 22: The first half of the month is time to focus on your work. Mars will be trining your sign at this time and giving you the energy, and alongside Saturn and Pluto, the incentive to accomplish all you set out to achieve. From the 14th to the 30th Mercury, your ruling planet, is also in a great position to allow you to finish off any lose ends. The interesting turn of events for you in May is on the 16th when Uranus moves in to Taurus and forms a trine to your sign. This will be good for you making sudden changes to your life which will work in a positive and smooth way. Your energy will also be different as you feel more freedom to express yourself. Moon in your love area 9th, 10th, 11th can be used in conjunction with Mars’ ability to push yourself forward and be heard.

Moon in Virgo May 22, 23, 24

Libra — September 23-October 22: There’s quite a few harsh aspects around for you early in the month. However, Venus, your ruling planet is not one of them. She is forming a nice trine to your sign until the 20th giving you the chance to smooth things over in your relationship or, if you are single give you the opportunity in meeting someone new. As Venus moves out of this smooth transit to your sign, Mars moves in to form another trine to your sign on the 17th. This will give you lots of energy and help to let you roll out any plans you have been wanting to get off the ground. Moon in your love area 12th and 13th conjuncts Uranus. Expect the unexpected, especially if you are single as this is a great time to suddenly meet someone you are attracted to.

Moon in Libra May 25, 26

Scorpio — October 23-November 22: The Sun is in your love area until the 21st making the month of May a great time to take a serious look at your relationship, or lake thereof. From the 14th to the 30th Mercury will also be allowing you to think more clearly on what you do and don’t want when it comes to love. Perhaps, the most important transit you have this month is Uranus entering your love and relationship area for the first time in 84 years. Uranus can have the effect of circumstances changing quickly. Expect the unexpected and you’ll most likely get it! This is not the month to sit back on your laurels and think that is going to save you from having to make any changes. Moon in your love area on 14th and 15th, occurs with the added bonus of a new moon on the 15th, which only gives you more impetus to make those changes.

Moon in Scorpio May 1, 27, 28

Sagittarius — November 23-December 20: Uranus has been in a positive position to your sign for the past few years. From the 16th onward, this changes. You may find that you are a little less hit with sudden insights that move you forward in life, and a bit more erratic when it comes to work and getting it done. This month you have Venus in your love and relationship area right up till the 20th, which can really send your love life soaring. To top this off the full moon on 29th also occurs in Sagittarius and can be used to shine a spotlight on any changes you wish to make. Several planets are moving through your work area so you may wish to use some of your energy in getting a job finished. Moon in your love area 16th and 17th is a time of new beginnings.

Moon in Sagittarius May 2, 3, 29 (Full), 30, 31

Capricorn — December 21-January 20: With no less than 3 strong planets in your chart this month you will certainly be wanting to get a lot done and aiming high to achieve this. These planets are Saturn and Pluto, both being retrograde which may find you a bit frustrated when it comes to moving forward. Then there is Mars, a planet which has no problem in moving and pushing forward for what it wants to achieve. Mars is in your sign till the 17th. Interestingly, it is also going to retrograde soon and will revert back into your sign for a few weeks mid August to mid September. Be aware of what is around for you in mid May as it may come back to haunt you during August, September. Moon in your love area 18th and 19th should be smooth sailing when it comes to your relationship.

Moon in Capricorn May 4, 5, 6

Aquarius — January 21-February 19: When you look back at the month of May, you may have the thought that this was the month where things started to go a bit wrong for you. The reason being is that Mars enters your sign this month on the 17th and the problem with this is that soon Mars will retrograde in your sign and hit off all the degrees it has gone over from the 17th to 31st of May. When this happens situations may resurface and you are still left dealing with them for a few months to come without a clear resolution. For this reason you need to be aware that your decisions now can have unpleasant..

Here is the Ask the Astrologers Weekly Astro Forecast for the week of Apr 30, 2018 – May 6, 2018:

We start this week with a Full Moon at 9° Scorpio 38 at 0:58 am UT on Monday (or at 8:58 pm EDT on Sunday ). This particular Full Moon is known as the Full Pink Moon in Native American traditions (named so for the blankets of fragrant pink flowers (phlox) that bloom at this time of year).

As Full Moons are said to shine a spotlight on areas in your chart that are affected (by house position and contacts to other planets) you might look to your own natal chart to see where this will play out for you.

In general, the Scorpio Full Moon provides an overview of the progress you’ve made since its New Moon counterpoint back in April. Seeds that were planted then will surely have sprouted; do you need to make adjustments or change your course entirely? Now is the time to think about what you’ve accomplished and where you want to go from here.

Also on Monday, the Sun squares the North and South Nodes, which is referred to in classical astrology as “at the bendings.” In particular the Sun is at the North bending which is a highly visible placement. Pay attention to what you put out there — what face you show to the outer world, and how you represent yourself.

The Sun at the Node’s bendings sets up a natural t-square which can manifest as a sense of frustration over discrepancies between what you’re experiencing internally and the image you feel the need to portray.

On Wednesday, Venus inconjuncts Saturn, which may put a bit of a damper on things. It can bring internal conflicts to the surface and see you questioning your own value. You may have to confront feelings of personal inadequacy — questioning whether you are worthy or deserving of the things you truly want.

As with all inconjuncts, the key is finding a way to resolve these internal conflicts, which generally involves finding a happy medium between two competing desires. In this case it’s about taking an honest look at your personal deficits and turning them into something more positive.

Fortunately Venus is involved in a much more pleasant aspect — a trine to the North Node — on Thursday.  As Venus trines the North Node, it will automatically sextile the South Node, since the Lunar Nodes are always in direct opposition with one another.

This aspect can also bring new people into your life who feel familiar and who can be instrumental to your evolutionary process. This aspect is karmic in nature, meaning that the people you meet during this time are here to propel you toward your destiny — and vice versa. Your actions and interactions can have far reaching repercussions so make sure you treat the people you meet during this time (and all times) with dignity and respect.

On Saturday, Mercury inconjuncts Jupiter. This transit is complicated by the fact that Jupiter is retrograde. As Mercury and Jupiter are natural polarities, there’s a tendency to struggle with indecision, uncertainty, or absent-mindedness when these two planets are not in harmony.

With respect to their current placements, you want to make sure you have all the facts before you arrive at a decision, hold off on making promises that you might not be able to keep, and in general get clear about what you believe in before you start preaching your beliefs to others. The upside of this transit though is that it forces you to reevaluate what you do stand for and to make whatever adjustments are necessary to accommodate changing ideals.

We end the week with a nice Sun / Neptune sextile — in Taurus and Pisces respectively — on Sunday. This aspect can increase your sensitivity to outside influences and leave you feeling more susceptible to psychic impressions. It can be just what you needed to start your week on a mellow note — so mellow in fact that you may decide to sleep in and lounge around the house rather than rushing to prepare for a new work week.

That’s it for this week; see you next week!

Here is the Ask the Astrologers Weekly Astro Forecast for the week of Apr 23, 2018 – Apr 29, 2018:

We start this week on Monday, with Venus moving toward the final (29th) degree of Taurus, which it will have passed by the end of the day. . The final degree of any sign is known as the “anaretic degree,” which is said to be fated. As Venus rules Taurus (as well as Libra) it’s said to be dignified there, and is made all the more powerful by its placement in Taurus’ final degree.

Of course that means that Venus is leaving Taurus and moving into Gemini. Venus is the esoteric ruler of Gemini, as the catalyst through which the concept of “Love” first emerges — through connecting, interacting and most importantly communicating with others.

It enters Gemini at 4:39 pm (UT) on Tuesday, at around the same time Jupiter sextiles Mars. Venus in Gemini is playful, curious and spontaneous. It’s a feminine planet in a dual sign, which means it can also be restless, changeable and fickle in the relationship department.

The sextile between Jupiter and Mars brings with it an abundance of energy and enthusiasm. It inspires us to think about travel, adventure, spirituality, philosophy and higher mind pursuits. It takes us out of our comfort zones and gets us thinking about how the other half lives.

This combination is softened somewhat by the fact that these two planets are in sextile which is a bit more gentle and harmonious. Still there’s an added bit of confidence and bravado that can see you making big plans.

On Wednesday, Venus sextiles Chiron and Mercury squares Saturn. The Venus/ Chiron sextile may see you becoming more aware of your own capacity for giving and for being able to put yourself in other people’s shoes. This is a charitable aspect that compels you to reach into the very depths of your soul — where compassion, forgiveness and understanding all reside — and bring forth that which is within you in order to pass it onto others.

The Mercury / Saturn square is a recurrence of a similar transit earlier in the month (when Mercury was still retrograde). This aspect can bring feelings of melancholy to the surface. It can manifest as boredom or apathy. It can leave seeing the glass as half empty rather than half full. If you find yourself asking “what’s the use?” or “why even bother?” try to shift your thinking, as this transit can see you wallowing in your own misery.

Thursday’s Mars / Pluto conjunction can . Pluto is the higher Octave of Mars and Mars is dignified in Capricorn, so this is not a bad combination at all. But we can expect it to be hard-hitting and intense. Especially since Mars is still out of bounds.

In general this transit is known to be driven and self-empowered. Placing it in Capricorn speaks of funneling that energy into something constructive and productive. It’s about standing strong in your convictions and refusing to be bullied or pushed aside.

Mercury trines the North Node on Friday. This is another recurrence — again involving Mercury retrograde — of the same transit that occurred a couple weeks ago.  It’s all about developing a comfortable rapport with others. It’s about generating a meeting of the minds and communing with those who are on the same page.

As the North and South Nodes are always in opposition, the North Node trines Mercury at the same time it sextiles the South Node. Think of this as a relatively painless give and take, especially since Mercury is now moving forward again.

The asteroid Juno moves into Aries on Saturday and will conjunct Chiron on the following day. June in Aries can see you being more confident (and taking more risks) in your pursuit of relationship happiness. It can manifest as a desire to throw yourself head-long into an affair without weighing the repercussions. It can be passionate, daring and aggressive — and it can also be somewhat self-defeating.

The conjunction to Chiron reinforces this energy, as there are sacrificial components to both archetypes. Because this conjunction occurs in Aries — the sign associated with personality and “self” — it’s going to be important to not allow yourself to lose sight of your own needs and desires for the sake of your relationship.

We finish off the weekend with a Sun trine Saturn on Sunday.  This is likely to put you in the mood for getting down to business in the coming weeks, especially in the workplace. It’s good for making plans and assessing progress that’s already been made. This aspect is both incredibly disciplined and productive, so if you want to get something done now is the time to do it.

Sun / Saturn aspects are generally very focused, disciplined and goal-oriented. Bring them together in a harmonious 120 degree angle (trine) and you’ve got a fantastic recipe for success. And this is serious business: you may not feel like putting your party hat on over the next few days, but you can get a lot accomplished.

That’s it for this week; see you next week!

Here is the Ask the Astrologers Weekly Astro Forecast for the week of Apr 16, 2018 – Apr 22, 2018:

This week starts with a New Moon on Monday at 26° Aries 02, conjunct Uranus. New Moons bring opportunities to plant seeds that we can then coax to maturity over the duration of the (28-day) lunar cycle. This marks a time during which the focus should be on exploring the many possibilities before you.

It’s about facing your fears, taking risks and trying something new.

Add Uranus to the mix and thoughts of taking a stand, dedicating yourself to a cause, pushing past social limitations and exploring your own unique identity begin to take shape.

The Sabian Symbol for this degree is “Through imagination, a lost opportunity is regained.” This is particularly meaningful this week as three planets are changing direction, with two of them — Saturn and Pluto — turning retrograde. As retrogrades generally provide opportunities to revisit, review and revise, this Symbol speaks of opening doors for us to do just that.

On Tuesday, Venus opposes Jupiter and trines Pluto. The Venus / Jupiter opposition is bound to get you thinking about what’s wrong in your relationships — whether that means you aren’t in one and are feeling lonely, or you are in one that has become unfulfilling. This aspect can see one of you ready to throw in the towel and walk away.

Also on Tuesday. Chiron moves into Aries for for the first time in over 40 yrs. It will remain in Aries for only 5 months this first go-around, as it retrogrades back into Pisces in September) and doesn’t make it back into Aries until 2019.

Chiron in Aries is about dealing with issues related to individuation and self-realization.  And not just our own. As it’s linked to the gentle warrior archetype, It can manifest as a desire to stand up for those who are unable to stand up for themselves. It can also make it easier for us to see and acknowledge other people’s points of view.

The Sun completes its conjunction to Uranus on Wednesday, just as Saturn turns stationary retrograde. The Sun / Uranus aspect is good for expressing yourself in ways that may not be conventional but can inspire tolerance and acceptance in others. As the Sun is tied to your life force, will and self-expression, while Uranus is tied to thinking outside the box, these planets joining together can be incredibly progressive and innovative. This aspect encourages you to march to the beat of your own drum and express your own unique individuality in ways that inspire rather than shock.

With respect to Saturn turning retrograde: you may be thinking about what (and whom) you want to retain in your life vs. what (or whom) you want to leave behind. You may feel the need to step back and regroup. This can mean ironing out the kinks in a union that’s faltering or bringing someone new in.

Saturn turning retrograde can make things seem a whole lot bleaker than they are. And because this change in direction is more about going back and fixing things than it is about putting them to rest, you’d be much better served to take some time to figure out what you need rather than rushing to judgment. Depending on where this transit is occurring in your natal chart, it can apply do areas that are in need of resolution.

Saturn will remain retrograde for almost 5 months (until Sept 7th), when it changes direction again in the early degrees of Capricorn and begins moving forward again.

The Sun moves into Taurus on Friday. This archetype speaks of getting in touch with nature and the earth, and with taking care of “business.” This is a good time for thinking about making, saving and investing money. It’s also a good time for taking care of your physical body and for indulging all five senses.

While the Sun was in Aries you may have been so focused on getting things done that you didn’t have time to stop and smell the flowers. The Sun in Taurus not only slows you down enough to do just that, it also heightens your ability to appreciate and enjoy the prospect.

On Sunday, Pluto turns stationary retrograde. Pluto is retrograde for around 6 months out of every year, and is reminiscent of its mythological counterpart in which Persephone goes down into the Underworld. Pluto will remain retrograde until October 2nd, when it starts its 6 month period of direct motion followed by 6 months in retrograde motion all over again.

This is a time for turning inward and developing your own internal power, rather than unleashing it on the outer world. It’s a time for concentrating your efforts toward  getting in touch with your shadow side and mastering your own darker energies. It’s a time for regeneration and transformation that lasts for several months, until the cycle repeats itself.

That’s it for this week; see you next week!

Here is the Ask the Astrologers Weekly Astro Forecast for the week of Apr 9, 2018 – Apr 15, 2018:

We start the week on Monday with the Sun exalted in Aries — at 19° Aries, its exact degree of exaltation — just as Venus squares the lunar nodes. The Sun is exalted in Aries (even though it “rules” Leo) because Aries begins at the vernal point — the first moment of Spring — and as such represents the spark of life from which all everything else is born.

It’s exalted at the 19th degree of Aries because that is the square root of the 360 degree circle. The Sun is disposited by Mars which is currently also exalted, although only by sign not degree.

With respect to the Venus / Nodes square: It’s at what’s known in classical astrology as “at the bendings.” This is what a planet in exact square to the North and South Nodes is called, and refers to a period of crisis with emphasis on the concept of fate. As Venus represents romance and relationships (among other things, such as money, personal values and beauty / aesthetics) this can translate as problems identifying with these areas.

It can also manifest as feeling backed into a corner in relationship or being forced to choose between love and something (or someone) else. Feeling like it’s time to update your wardrobe, hair, fashion sense or psychical appearance. Being dissatisfied with what you have going in there areas, with the understanding that you need to make changes. It’s not the time to do a complete overhaul however. Remember that Mercury is retrograde and any decisions that you make during this time are unlikely to stick.

Fortunately Venus moves into a much more pleasant aspect on Wednesday; it trines Mars. Venus and Mars are both dignified right now, with Venus in the sign it rules (Taurus) and Mars in the sign of its exaltation (Capricorn). This aspect brings love and romance to the forefront.

It’s is all about going with the flow and staying in sync with your loved ones. It’s good for attracting new people into your life and for collaborating with others. As this is an earth sign trine, the energy is more sensuous and seductive, with emphasis is on collaboration and cooperation rather than resistance.

This is important since the Sun also square Pluto on Wednesday. That’s a much less harmonious or conciliatory aspect, and in fact it can be extremely volatile. It can erupt into power struggles or confrontations with others. Intense anger (rage), trust issues and overreactions are all potential manifestations of this transit,

This transit will hopefully be tempered by a Venus / Neptune sextile on Thursday as both of the planets are dignified by sign. It’s also significant in that Neptune is the higher octave of Venus, and these two planets “holding hands (sextiling) one another emphasizes their respective influences. The sextile aspect relates to assistance and cooperation. The Venus / Neptune combination is often present in relationships that are based on spiritual, creative or altruistic notions.

This transit is excellent for tapping into your psychic abilities and can also be instrumental in creating soul connections with romantic interests. There are unconditional love aspects to the Venus / Neptune sextile but be careful: it’s also associated with escapism and self-deception, such as relationships where neither party sees the other one clearly. This transit can also manifest as co-dependency or escapism.

We have a couple more sextiles on Saturday: with Mars sextiling Neptune and Jupiter sextiling Pluto. The Mars / Neptune sextile is sensitive, creative and idealistic. You may find that your intuition and psychic perceptions are off the charts during this time. The Mars / Neptune aspect can see you tuned into the music of the spheres like never before. This aspect reminds you that you are one with the Universe and everyone in it. It’s creative and compassionate and can inspire you to become a better person.

The Jupiter / Pluto trine brings in incredible opportunities to realize your goals. This is a powerful aspect that paves the way for the expression of personal charisma and power. It emphasizes leadership qualities which can see you standing up and being noticed.

This aspect is good for making favorable financial or business-related decisions. It increases confidence and can see you achieving whatever you set your mind to. Jupiter and Pluto in combination can be a force to be reckoned with, but because it’s in a harmonious aspect (a trine) the energy works well together and can see you soaring to great heights.

We all know Mercury has been retrograde and in case you’re wondering “when does it end?” the answer is Sunday, when it goes stationary direct (at 4° Aries 46′). Don’t expect everything to fall right back into place though, because we’ve still got a few weeks before it crosses its shadow point. Instead try to think of it as an “all clear” to start moving forward again after weeks of being held back.

In the meantime, you want to be prepared, as more change is on the horizon, starting next week. We’ll have lots going on, including a New Moon in Aries, two planets (the Sun and Chiron) changing signs, and two planets (Saturn and Pluto) going retrograde.

That’s it for this week; see you next week!

Here is the Ask the Astrologers Weekly Astro Forecast for the week of Apr 2, 2018 – Apr 8, 2018:

This week starts on Monday with a Mars / Saturn conjunction in Capricorn. Both of these planets are dignified in Capricorn with Mars exalted there and Saturn as its natural ruler. In general, this aspect is all about “putting the brakes on,” which means holding back and taking all outcomes into consideration before acting on important decisions.

But this is a powerful configuration that is especially prominent this week (with all of the Saturn / Capricorn emphasis that is currently taking place in the night skies). As with all Mars / Saturn aspects, you may feel frustrated by delays or obstacles that seem to be standing in your way. But this conjunction gives you the discipline and fortitude to pull that funnel that frustration into planning, knowing that you’ll be all the more prepared than ever to strike when the time is ready.

The asteroid Vesta also moves into Capricorn on Monday, in sextile to the Scorpio Moon. With both of these bodies at 0 degrees, you may feel an increased desire for privacy and alone time. It’s good for getting in touch with your dreams, both literally and figuratively.

Tuesday’s Scorpio Moon trines Neptune and squares its Nodes. The Moon / Neptune portion of this aspect encourages you to pay attention to your dreams, follow your intuition and heed your own inner voice. It speaks of finding your place in the Universe and becoming one with it in the process.

The square to the Nodes is a little trickier as they are karmic in nature and refer to people who come in to facilitate your own evolutionary process. The square says that these encounters are likely to be challenging, forcing you to look at your own “stuff’ rather than projecting it on to others.

Mercury squares Mars on Wednesday. This is a recurrence of an earlier square which took place before Mercury went retrograde and will take place again after it goes direct.

This aspect can be tempestuous so consider taking a breath and count to 10 before you speak — especially if what you say can come across to others as angry or abrasive. It can manifest as harsh words, confrontations, temper tantrums and impatience. And it can also be careless and / or reckless which translates to “accident prone.” Watch your step during this transit, in more ways than one.

Because Saturn and Mars are still so closely conjunct, the square between Mercury and Mars is followed up by another square — this one between Mercury and Saturn — on Thursday. This is more of that “wakeup call” energy, with a reality check thrown in for good measure.

This aspect can bring feelings of melancholy to the surface. It can manifest as boredom or apathy. It can leave you seeing the glass as half empty rather than half full. If you find yourself asking “what’s the use?” or “why even bother?” try to shift your thinking, as this transit can see you wallowing in your own misery.

On Friday, the Moon joins in, moving into Capricorn late in the day, and joining Saturn, Mars and Pluto there. All this Capricorn energy may see you wanting to simplify and remove all of the clutter that’s accumulated in your life. It refers to getting serious about your goals, your profession and your public standing.

This is a time for looking at what’s important, and weeding out what is no longer useful for you or conducive to your growth. While the Moon portion of this configuration will only be in effect for a few days, it’s still significant in that it increases and emphasizes all this Capricorn energy.

On Saturday, Venus trines Saturn. Both of these planets are in the sign they rule, which makes this transit all the more powerful. It  describes a need for careful consideration of what you value and where you stand in your relationships. It’s a good time to sit down and have a heart to heart talk with a loved one. It brings depth and wisdom to your thinking, especially regarding matters of the heart.

Also on Saturday, Mars inconjuncts the North Node (and simultaneously semi-sextiles the South Node). At the same time, the Moon will be briefly (for about 5 hours) besieged by Mars and Saturn. This is not going to be the time to make decisions that are based on emotions or instincts. And it’s not going to be the time to act rashly or impulsively.

The Moon moves into last-quarter phase — at 18 Capricorn (which is closely conjunct Pluto and sextile to Jupiter) — on Sunday morning. The last-quarter Moon falls right into the rest of the week’s Saturn/ Capricorn theme, as it associated with career, reputation and public standing.

As the first and last quarters are related to crises, you may not get to rest much over the weekend, as you’re just as likely to be thinking about work (and responsibilities in general) as you will be during the week. Fortunately it forms mostly pleasant aspects, and ends the weekend on a harmonious note.

That’s it for this week; see you next week!

ARIES: The Emperor

With your ruler (Mars) exalted in Capricorn and conjuncting Saturn this month. You should be thinking more about taking charge of your life and achieving your goals and ambitions.

This is the Wild Unknown Tarot’s version of the Emperor card, in this case a stark and mighty tree stretching high into the heavens.

Notice the New Moon in this card too: it’s in your sign this month (on the 16th) conjunct Uranus, the planet known as the great awakener.

This card symbolizes worldly acclaim and ambition. No matter how high you want to climb, you can know that there are possibilities available to you if you only you set your sights on pursuing them.

You may be asking yourself whether you want to be a small fish in a big pond or a big fish in a small pond. It’s all about gaining perspective and establishing priorities.

As the Emperor also relates to the “Laws of the Land,” some of the less pleasant manifestations of this card include things like being on the receiving end of legal or professional disciplinary actions, dealings with the IRS or government, or having to deal with an oppressive boss or coworker.

The message behind this card is one of taking care of business. Hard work, perseverance and determination are all required: nothing will come to you through sheer luck or wishful thinking. It’s not the time to be passive or wishy-washy. It’s all about stepping up and taking control of a situation that requires a firm hand and authoritative presence.

TAURUS: Two of Swords

This month you may find yourself being torn between two competing interests or desires. You may be at a loss as to which one needs your attention or which one you want to follow.

You may also be thinking about where you fit in in the world and the contributions you’ve made. Or like the Heron in this card, you may be reflecting on what you want for yourself.

As difficult as it is to balance these dual desires, you may find yourself at an impasse. It’s hard to feed one set of urges without feeling like you’re neglecting the other.

You may need to take the time to reflect, much like the Heron in this card. This is the Animal Wisdom Tarot’s version of the Two of Swords — called the Two of Feathers in this deck.

Here we see him gazing down at his reflection in a tranquil pool. A crescent moon shines in the night sky, illuminating the pair of feathers that are crisscrossed on the water’s surface.

As the Two of Swords often refers to inaction and immobility, you might take a page from the Heron’s book and use that inertia to reflect on your options before you make a move.

While you may normally be prone to “act first and think later,” it’s probably going to be best for you to hold back and weigh your options instead. In doing so you may just be able to find a way to satisfy both sets of urges.

GEMINI: Three of Cups

With six planets moving through your social houses this month, it’s going to be a good time to think about taking a break from work and responsibilities and focusing on socializing with friends and loved ones.

The Three of Cups represents people gathering together to connect, interact and celebrate. It’s a happy, joyful energy that can manifest as a party or celebration, or it could be as simple as a girls night out.

Either way it’s a time of merriment and gaiety. Hanging out with like-minded people and expressing feelings of affection and good-will. There’s no room for fretting about work, and none of this sitting around ironing out political or ideological differences.

This Month’s New Moon (on the 16th) will take place in your friends and acquaintances sector, conjuncting the friendliest planet of all: Uranus. This fits in perfectly with the sense of joy and playfulness seen in this version of the card — from the gorgeous Nusantara Tarot. The three figures raise glasses in a celebratory toast as they frolic in a field of wildflowers. There’s a sense of sisterhood and camaraderie that is emphasized here.

In terms of romance the Three of Cups can refer to reconnecting with an old flame or reuniting with an ex. It can also manifest as a natural progression from the Ace of Cups (an attraction) and the Two of Cups (a mutual attraction) to the Three of Cups (taking that attraction to the next level).

Whether you’re celebrating your own good fortune or raising your glass to toast another’s, the Three of Cups serves as a reminder that there’s always something to be grateful for, and always someone to share your gratitude with.

CANCER: Five of Wands

With three planets — Mars, Saturn and Pluto, all heavy astrological energies — moving through your relationship sector this month, you may find yourself at odds with others.

This is the Five of Wands from the Mary-El Tarot.  Usually when it comes to this card, it’s clear that someone’s fighting, but no-one really knows what they’re fighting about. There’s just this competitive urge to “win” at any cost, which means that in the end nobody wins.

The Five of Wands refers to conflict, strife and competition: forcing your will on others, trying to be heard above the “roar” of opposing viewpoints and struggling against cross-purposes.

Here we see a lion charging through the thicket, undaunted by the obstacles (trees) before him. He’s enveloped in a protective aura of light as he moves toward his objective. Does that aura insulate him from danger? Or does it obscure his own motivations and the repercussions of his actions?

Like the Lion in this card you may have to look at where you may have been pushing your views forcefully onto others. Petty squabbles can erupt into major arguments because no one’s actually listening to what anyone else has to say.

The important thing to remember is that most disagreements are based on misunderstandings in the first place. The inability to put ourselves in someone else’s shoes –- coupled with the need to be heard — is behind almost every argument out there. And this combination can be a recipe for disaster.

If you’re involved in a power struggle, you can bet there’ll be no winners or losers, only the tattered remains of what once was a unified front. The Five of Wands encourages you to move past the chaos and calamity, and work on restoring the peace. If you can see past your pride to work with others rather than against them, it will be much smoother sailing for you from here on out.

LEO: Page of Stones

With several planets moving through your 6th house — the area associated with work and self-improvement — this month, it’s going to be a good time for you to gather information that may be useful for you down the road.

The Page of Stones — the Wildwood Tarot’s version on the Page of Pentacles — is known for being patient and diligent, much like the Lynx in this card.

He’s watchful and attentive but not quite ready to pounce. He relies on his instincts — and all five senses — to alert him to danger before it has a chance to strike. He’s conscious of every sight, sound, smell and movement in the wilderness around him, from the safety of his perch.

The Page of Stones is more intent on focusing and observing than he is on acting or doing: he’s not about to expend any excess energy unless it becomes absolutely necessary. Of all the Pages in the Tarot, this one is most capable of biding his time and exercising restraint.

He’s still got some growing to do. He still isn’t where he hopes to one day be. But he knows that good things come to those who wait and that he may have to conserve his energy in case he needs it later on.

He also knows that if he needs to act he can because he’s secured his position and made the appropriate preparations. He doesn’t quite blend into his surroundings but he’s compensated for that by placing himself out of harm’s way.

These 6th house Capricorn planets are similar in that they emphasize forethought and preparation. They are especially good at planning and information-gathering, which could serve you well — especially if you can see yourself putting those plans into motion and acting on them down the road.

VIRGO: King of Swords

This month, you may be called upon to make a decision that’s based on fairness, ingenuity and impartiality.

The King of Swords — this version represented by Greek Mythology;s Odysseus from the original Mythic Tarot — is a wise and strategic leader who relies on intellect and objectivity rather than compassion and emotion.

He may be a person in your life — a boss, mentor, parent or authority figure — and if so he’s here to show you how to lead with wisdom and grace. He may also represent qualities within yourself that are necessary for you to bring forth. Qualities like discipline and neutrality.

It may be a situation that requires you to act with authority, even if you’re not comfortable in that role. It may require you to “lay down the law” or pass down judgment where there is no easy answer. The King of Swords is able to cut through the nuances and extenuating circumstances to arrive at an impartial decision.

Odysseus was a shrewd and inventive leader. He not only thought up the idea for the Trojan Horse (thus securing victory for the Greeks), he led his people with a firm and lawful hand, never wavering from his solid principles.

This card can refer to a need for justice and symmetry in your life. Or it can mark the presence of someone whose sense of authority and justice overrides personal investments. Is this you or someone you’re dealing with currently who’s encouraging you to embrace these qualities?

The King of Swords is honorable and just. He has noble ideals which he applies to himself as well as others. He insists on fairness and equality for all. Whether this refers to you or to another, the underlying message is the same. Step away from emotional attachments and make your decisions based on what is right, fair, and most importantly best for you in the long run.

Libra: Four of Wands

This month should see you taking some time to relax, rejoice and count the blessings that surround you.

The Four of Wands is often portrayed as a joyous celebration, a gathering, a reward or surprise — the affirmation that all of your hard work has paid off and is now worthy of being celebrated.

In this version of the card — from the beautiful Gypsy Palace Tarot — there are definite symbols of merriment and wonder: the singing birds, the ringing bells, the vibrant colors, and the glowing aura that envelopes the woman as she lifts her face to the sun.

But there’s also emphasis here on gratitude and contentment; the satisfaction that comes from being at one with the Universe, in harmony with yourself and your surroundings.

You may have been so caught up in accomplishing your goals that you haven’t had time to appreciate the progress you’ve made.

The Four of Wands says it’s okay to take a breather. It’s okay to stop and smell the flowers. It’s okay to step back and admire your efforts, knowing that they continue to gather momentum and will keep on keeping on even if you take a break.

With the Full Moon in your sign this month and your ruler (Venus) exalted in Taurus, this is going to be a time for surrounding yourself with peace, beauty, comfort and tranquility. The Four of Wands is about being at the right place at the right time and taking advantage of all life has to offer.

Continue reading for complete scopes for each sign:

Aries — March 21-April 19: The first few days of the month see both the Sun and Mercury in close contact. As Mercury is retrograde, and also in your sign, you have the capacity to really think something through to it’s conclusion. It’s not the time for acting on what you come up with but it is a great time to plan what you will do next. From the 3rd to the 10th Mercury is also squaring Saturn, which can put the brakes on your usual Aries exuberance with a thump. As the month progresses and reaches the new moon in your sign on the 15th, you also have Uranus conjunct your Sun. Expect the unexpected and be ready to act. Moon in your love area 1st, 28th and 29th means it’s time to go out and have some fun.

Moon in Aries April 14, 15, 16 (New)

Taurus — April 20-May 20: April is looking to be a month of frustrations and possibly setbacks for you with Mercury retrograde in an area of your chart linked to confusion. Your best bet is to use this transit in a creative way. Any artistic interests you have, then now is a good time to get into them as they will help deflect any frustrations caused by Mercury. Of course you do have Venus on your side this month as she is in your sign till the 25th. From 8th till 15th Venus forms a trine with Mars allowing you to enjoy your love life. If you are single you may also find that someone new comes into your life at this time and the attraction will be strong. Moon in your love area 2nd, 3rd and 30th incorporates a full moon on the 30th allowing you to really shine a light on your relationship to see what you want next.

Moon in Taurus April 16, 17, 18

Gemini — May 21-June 21: Love is in the air for you in April as Venus travels through an area of your chart allowing you to get in touch with your emotions. After the 25th, Venus moves in to your sign allowing for the easy flow of emotions. Second week of April Mars is in a great aspect to Venus and also in an area of your chart which can really bring passion to the fore in your love life. Take time out to spend with your partner at this time and if you are single you may just meet that special someone. The attraction will be immediate and intense. Moon in your love area 5th and 6th occurs just before one of the best weeks of the year for you when it comes to passion.

Moon in Gemini April 19, 20

Cancer — June 22-July 23: April will be quite intense for you when it comes to love and relationships. There may be times when you think you need to put the brakes on something and then you find yourself forging ahead without thinking things through. This is compliments of Mars joining Saturn and Pluto in Capricorn. Around the 15th you also need to be careful as Mercury comes out of retrograde on a new moon in Aries. Both these movements are also squaring your Sun sign and forming a T square to the Mars, Saturn, Pluto problem you are experiencing this month. Not a good month for stating a new relationship. Moon in your love area 7th, 8th and 9th is a time to keep out of trouble, especially when it comes to arguments with your partner.

Moon in Cancer April 21, 22

Leo — July 24-August 23: You can get through a lot of work this month as you’ll have the energy and drive to accomplish just about anything. With Mars, Saturn and Pluto all in your work area you’ll probably have your hands full. This may not be such a bad thing as Venus squares your sign till the 25th, this can possibly cause some friction when it comes to your relationship. Mercury may be trining your sign but it is also retrograde till the 15th and whilst you have not been affected as much as other signs with communication problems, you still need to keep an eye on what you say. Moon in your love area 10th and 11th occurs just before the new moon on 15th which forms a great aspect to your sign.

Moon in Leo April 23, 24

Virgo —  August 24-September 22: April is looking just fine for you, considering the stressful aspects around with the planets, you seem to have hit the jackpot! Venus in Taurus, until the 25th, is trining your sign giving you a smooth ride when it comes to love. Mars, Saturn and Pluto complete this picture for you over in Capricorn giving you a grand trine of planets hitting off your Sun sign. The intensity of this aspect is felt more from the 4th till the 14th. This gives you plenty of time to make special memories with your partner and if you are single, a great time to meet someone new. Of course, Mercury retrograde, may have you needing to think twice before you dive in with a comment. Moon in your love area 12th, 13th and 14th should be especially strengthening to your relationship.

Moon in Virgo April 25, 26, 27

Libra — September 23-October 22: With Mercury retrograde in your relationship area this month, until the 15th, you will have your hands full with communication issues with your partner. Might be a good idea to hold back on anything which you feel particularly strongly about and they do not. This is not the time to push your thoughts onto someone else. With Mars also squaring your sign, alongside Saturn there’s a bit of push and pull when it comes to what you want to do and what you know you shouldn’t do. Be aware that Uranus is conjunct the Sun 17th to the 20th which could see sparks fly in your relationship. New moon in your love area on the 15th occurs just as Mercury turns direct, give yourself a few days before you bring up any concerns you have in your relationship.

Moon in Libra April 1, 28, 29

Scorpio — October 23-November 22: Venus is in your love and relationship area this month up until the 25th. At the same time you will also be dealing with Mercury retrograde in your work area, which can cause problems when it comes to communication. With Mars, Saturn and Pluto currently moving through an area of your chart which can cause havoc with communication, you need to have your wits about you to make sure nothing is misunderstood. The full moon on the 29th shines a light on your emotional life, especially as Venus will be an area of your chart at this time where something you need to know becomes clearer to you. Moon in your love area 16th, 17th and 18th is a time to enjoy with your partner and if you are single, this may be your lucky month compliments of Venus.

Moon in Scorpio April 2, 3, 4, 30 (Full)

Sagittarius — November 23-December 20: April may start out a bit slow for you but after the 25th you have Venus in your love and relationship area to look forward to! This only occurs about once a year and heralds a time for smooth emotions and also the chance to meet someone new if you are single. With Mars and Saturn both in an area of your chart known for stability you may find yourself wanting to settle down this month and take life more seriously, especially when it comes to relationships. With any luck you are not feeling the effects of Mercury retrograde too badly as it is a nice aspect to your sign. However, be aware that around the 15th this can change. Moon in your love area 19th and 20th occurs a few days before Venus is in a position to really rev your love life up.

Moon in Sagittarius April 5, 6

Capricorn — December 21-January 20: April may be a bit intense for you as Mars joins Saturn and Pluto in your sign. The first week is not a good time for decisions as Mars conjuncts Saturn which do not sit easily with each other. Whilst Mars says “Go”! Saturn says “Stop”! The push and pull of these 2 planets in such close contact can be frustrating. On top of this Mercury is also retrograde and forming a square during the first week to both Mars and Saturn. All round a bit of a frustrating week for you. As we head into the last week of April Mars comes into contact with Pluto, which again means frustrations for you and the possibility of tensions arising to cause arguments. Moon in your love area 21st and 22nd would be a good time to spend some alone time with your partner.

Moon in Capricorn April 7, 8, 9

Aquarius — January 21-February 19: With Mars, Saturn and Pluto all in an area of your chart not exactly known for straight thinking, you can be excused if April does not seem to be going as planned for you. This is not the month to push for what you want, and expect it to happen. It’s more the month to keep your head low and do only what is needed. Venus will trine your sign after the 25th, which can help your love life immensely. If you are single this is the time someone may come into your life. If you are in a relationship, it is the time you can smooth over any misunderstandings that may have arisen in the last few weeks. Moon in your love area 23rd and 24th occurs just as Venus is also about to give your love life a huge boost.
