Hello and happy Thursday! I've been making a lot of 9-patches using our new fabric lately. More than one of the new quilt patterns uses some variation of the 9-patch, and I've also been working on a jelly roll quilt for a book that uses a 9-patch variation. It's a great block to use because combining strip piecing with the block construction can save a lot of time. And along with that, I really do love the nine-patch block...it's versatile and can be combined with many different designs and in many different ways.
These 9-patches were pieced with scraps from our Desert Bloom collection just Read more »
Hello and happy Wednesday! I've finally started transitioning my home to have more of a spring feel (True story: until last Saturday I still had Christmas quilts on my entryway ladder and on two walls)! I love getting out the spring quilts and using them to decorate...the four on my entryway ladder are a few of my favorites.

Hello and happy Monday! Over the weekend I was able to finally get my Swell Christmas quilt finished up! I started binding it just as I was beginning all of the new collection quilt sewing, and the final two sides of binding have been waiting to be finished for a few weeks now!
This is such a fun quilt...and I don't feel bad that I didn't get it finished in time
Hello and happy Saturday! It's going to be a beautiful spring-like day today here in my little part of the world, so I'm hoping to take full advantage of the day since I'll be losing an hour of sleep tonight! Here are some of the fun things I've found this week to help inspire you for the weekend and the upcoming week!

Hello and happy Friday! Today I thought I'd share a little bit about a fun photo-of-the-day event taking place on Instagram right now. Amy Ellis of Amy's Creative Side has done a fabulous job organizing the event and coming up with fun and creative topics. Each day there is a different prompt, and quilters from all over the world share photos based on the subject of the day. It's been a lot of fun to see all of the different photos and to be inspired by all of the creativity!
It's been so much fun that I decided to document my weekly photos here on Read more »
Hello and happy Thursday! Earlier this year I decided to join in on the quilt-a-long for the Village pattern of adorable houses by Carrie Nelson. I already had the pattern and decided that it would be a lot of fun to combine all of our fabric collections for the house blocks for a fun quilt. I immediately made 16 blocks and was hooked (eight of them were made with fabrics I can't share just yet, though)! I've been busy with other things but decided I needed to make some more houses ASAP! They really are so much fun!
The houses above were made one at a time, but now I'm using a more
Hello and happy Wednesday! I'm sharing my "Throw Back Thursday" quilt post now because I didn't quite finish up everything I wanted to for what I had planned for today! Anyway, just last week a quilt came home that had been gone for several years; it's always fun when older quilt finally get to come back home!
I hurried and took a few photos, and now have it in the laundry room to
Hello and happy Monday! I finished up my March block for my Quilting Life Mystery Block of the Month and have the pattern ready to share with you today! I'm pretty happy with how this quilt is starting to come together--I finally added some of the dark navy I've been waiting to use along with one of my favorite blue floral prints. I love the combination!
I'll just need to make sure I use this dark navy in at least two other blocks so I'll
Hello and happy Saturday! This has been a busy week, but I'm super excited to spend a lot of time in a chair this weekend binding quilts and watching Fixer Upper episodes I've recorded. There is just something about binding a quilt that is so relaxing and fun!
