Parts Unlimited/Drag Specialties Signs Two Year Commitment to Exhibit at AIMExpo presented by Nationwide in 2018 & 2019

Parts Unlimited and Drag Specialties are the Industry’s Leading Powersports Distributors

IRVINE, Calif. – The American International Motorcycle Expo presented by Nationwide, (AIMExpo) is pleased to welcome Parts Unlimited/Drag Specialties as an exhibitor at the 2018 event in Las Vegas (October 11-14) and in 2019 when the show makes its return to Columbus, Ohio.

The global parts and accessories distributor will join the greater powersports industry as a vital addition to the annual platform that creates the opportunity for industry, dealers, vendors and media to come together in one place at one time to highlight key brands and showcase new product, conduct business, network, and address industry challenges and opportunities. Parts Unlimited/Drag Specialties and its host of brands extend the lineup of exhibitors represented at AIMExpo presented by Nationwide as the first major distributor, a key category important for continued growth of the show.

“Parts Unlimited has deep roots in the industry and it’s pivotal to be among our peers to assess the health of the sport and industry while also creating the opportunity to make connections with new and existing dealers and vendors,” said Mike Collins, CEO. “The MIC produced event provides a highly important place for powersports businesses to come together.”

Founded in 1967 by Fred Fox, Parts Unlimited/Drag Specialties is the world’s largest distributor of powersports aftermarket parts and accessories and is owned by LeMans Corporation headquartered in Janesville, Wisconsin. Along with sister companies, Parts Canada and Parts Europe they sell to dealerships worldwide. The company portfolio includes noted brands Thor, Icon, Moose, Z1R, Arctiva, Slippery and AMS.

“In just over five years, AIMExpo presented by Nationwide has established itself as North America’s annual gathering place for all of powersports, and the addition of iconic distributor Parts Unlimited/Drag Specialties signifies the platform’s value and importance for all industry constituents,” said Larry Little, vice president and general manager, MIC Events. “Post-show research confirms that meeting with distributors is a top reason for dealers to attend the event, and we look forward to partnering with them to expand the core value for dealers joining the greater industry in Las Vegas and Columbus.”

Brainerd, MN:  Wild Ass Motorcycle Air Cushion, an American owned company attended the AIMExpo, September 21-24 in Columbus, OH.  AIMExpo was a huge success for the Wild Ass Brand!  The Expo did exactly what was needed for Wild Ass offering the opportunity to showcase the complete Wild Ass line up.  We were able to reach many industry professionals and retail customers to enhance brand awareness and grow market share.

“There’s no doubt our first year was interesting, but we’re here, and now stronger than ever.  It was great seeing old friends in the industry and I would really like to thank the staff of AIME, especially Heather, for helping us get here and making sure we were taken care of with everything we needed throughout the show.” – Craig Johnson, Wild Ass

About Wild Ass
The Wild Ass motorcycle air seat cushion eliminates pressure points and promotes circulation by utilizing adjustable interconnected air cells, which conform to the rider’s shape, regardless of weight or seating position.  Additional benefits are reduction of shock and vibration to reduce lower back pain, and provide air circulation under the rider to disperse heat and perspiration.  Wild Ass is recommended for motorcycle riders who would like reduction of painful pressure points, increased circulation, reduced vibration, shock absorption, heat, and moisture reduction in the seating area and greater overall seat comfort while riding a motorcycle.

Foothill Ranch, California – With the effects of Hurricane Irma still being felt, Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A. is donating five new Kawasaki MULE™ utility vehicles toward relief efforts in the Southeast United States.

“With Hurricane Irma coming right on the heels of all of the destruction from Hurricane Harvey, everyone at Kawasaki is prepared to support those most recently impacted,” said Yoshi Tamura, Kawasaki President and CEO. “We have seen how the Kawasaki MULE vehicles are assisting support teams, families, and our dealers in repairing their homes and businesses in Texas and we will extend that assistance to those now affected in Florida and the rest of the Southeast U.S.”

Many Kawasaki dealers have immediately begun loaning MULE utility vehicles to local relief organizations and the Kawasaki regional office in Atlanta, Georgia is ready to assist our vast dealer network. In addition, Kawasaki will continue a corporate donation-matching program for employees at all of its U.S. locations. The company will match all individual donations from $30 to $500 made to non-profit organizations. So far, Kawasaki has donated a combined total of more than $150,000 to hurricane relief efforts.

As the Kawasaki MULE reached its 30th anniversary of production, it has also been the choice for infrastructure projects and emergency response for those three decades, since first being introduced in 1988 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Used by police, fire and EMT departments across the country, the versatility of these lightweight, four-wheeled vehicles is coupled to their capacity to hold six passengers and unique ability to traverse rugged terrain, such as the debris from this natural disaster. They are able to reach hard-hit areas that traditional vehicles cannot. Combined with a tilting cargo bed capable of holding a large payload, the MULE is well suited for removing storm wreckage or hauling new construction materials or emergency supplies into hard-hit areas.
