From an early age, I knew Travel was my passion. I began my career in the Travel Industry at 19yrs of age, working at Sydney International Airport for a ground handling company. Two years later, I moved to London on a working holiday visa and enjoyed backpacking around Europe.
After a few months back in Sydney, life or fate pointed me in another direction and I found myself living in South Africa for 12 months, and it is here that I experienced a dream come true, my first ever safari. I instantly fell in love with the bush, the wildlife, the people and the magical city of Cape Town.
I returned to Sydney and worked for an African Wholesaler where I had the pleasure of visiting Kenya and Tanzania before accepting another dream job in Dubai, working for Emirates and travelling the world some more.
Africa was my calling though, so I moved home to join The Africa Safari Co Team in 2013, and I haven’t looked back! I have been fortunate enough to visit Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana and Rwanda while working for TASCO, and I am truly grateful for every opportunity to visit this beautiful continent. My favourite part of this job is sharing my passion and love for this continent, by designing the ultimate African itinerary for each of my guests.
“The only man I envy is the man who has not yet been to Africa, for he has so much to look forward to.” – Richard Mullin

I have spent my working career in the Travel Industry with a speciality in destination tourism. I was employed at Rail Plus in 1993 which dealt with worldwide rail travel, which then blossomed into working for Great Southern Rail, operators of The Ghan and Indian Pacific Trains in sales and operations. I have had fond memories of the Ghan since I was a child so comes as no surprise that this was a career highlight, especially to work on board the first Ghan services to Darwin. In 2006 I progressed to on-road sales with Kirra Tours, a New Zealand wholesaler, which gave me absolute pleasure to visit over 40 times in 6 years. After the Christchurch Earthquake, tourism suffered which resulted in my move to The Africa Safari Co in 2012, and I have now developed a very passionate dedication for promotions of Southern & East Africa. I am very privileged to have visited Africa 15 times, and have it in my blood. I love the thrill of safari, the fact that is unpredictable, and creating “Bush Theatre” at its finest. I also quite handy with the camera and the pen, so am known to take a photo. I published my first book “My Desert Backyard” in 2013 based on my travel experiences both work and personal within the Australian Outback.
