Just today Hasbro revealed their Marvel Legends SDCC 2019 Exclusive and it’s none other than a Vintage Legends Hulk figure. I should mention that Hasbro have an 80th anniversary two pack coming out which features a Incredible Hulk figure.
Looking at this new Hulk I can see that it shares the same body as that one with a few tweaks. Firstly you can see that his veins are painted a darker shade of green as well as having a different head sculpt as well.
The base body is terrific and I really love the head sculpt which is full of anger and aggression. I should mention that this figure comes with an accessory, he comes with a crushed pipe accessory which he can hold.
The card back is also awesome, if I got this I don’t think I would want to take it out of packaging.
The figure will be available at the Hasbro booth during the vent, as well as select overseas conventions. Non-attendees will have a chance to purchase the figure as well. After SDCC 2019, a limited number will be available via Hasbro Pulse.
At Toy Fair earlier this year NECA revealed the Lab Escape Fugitive Predator would be joining The Predator line.
I have seen The Predator and I’m not the biggest fan of it but I really liked some elements of it and NECA have a great knack of making fantastic figures from so not so great films.
I’m a big fan of NECA’s The Predator line even though I’ve only got the Ultimate Fugitive from the film though I do plan on picking up the other figures in the line.
One of my favorite sequences from the film is when the Fugitive Predator escapes confinement in the lab and goes on a bit of a rampage as he makes his way out. Even using a machine gun in the process which is the first time we’ve seen a Predator using a human weapon.
As you can see Lab Escape is stripped of his armor except from around his waist and shins. We don’t get many unarmored Predators so Lab Escape does look very unique.
Lab Escape Fugitive Predator comes with a multitude of interchangeable hands, an interchangeable masked head with LED lights, a shuriken, a rifle and a damaged mask accessory.
I really love the packaging too as it uses the films teaser poster for the cover.
Overall I think this is a fantastic looking figure and a must-have for me as I really love this scene and we don’t get that many scene specific Predator figures! If your a fan of the figures or the film I highly recommend this figure.
This figure is available to order now and will be available on store shelves at the end of this month.
The Marvel Legends 80th Anniversary Announcements Keep Coming!
Late last night Hasbro revealed that they’ll be releasing an Agent Anti-Venom Marvel Legends figure. No details have been revealed if this figure will be a store exclusive or a mass retail release. Though I do know that you can pre-order it from Hasbro Pulse and other e-retailers.
This is a re-release and a re-paint of the Walgreens Exclusive Agent Venom which now goes for crazy prices on the secondary market. I have to say I love the inverted look to Agent Anti-Venom. As this is an older Marvel Legend figure it has the old ball jointed hips which isn’t a problem for me as the figure is still fully articulated.
The sculpt is absolutely fantastic and I do love the design of Agent Venom/Agent Anit-Venom. There’s no doubt this figure will stand out on your display shelf.
No accessories have been revealed yet but I’m sure it’ll come with some of the accessories that the Agent Venom came with which were an array of guns and tendrils that can be plugged into his back.
I should add that this figure will be released in November of this year. As I missed out on the Agent Venom figure I’ll definitely be picking up this one.
Mattel’s WWE Elite Series 69 is shaping up to be one of the best series yet!
Just yesterday Mattel revealed promo images from WWE Elite Series 69 and I have to say the lineup is pretty impressive!
In this wave, we’ll be getting Ricochet, Ali, The Miz, Tommaso Ciampa, Bobby Lashley, Rey Mysterio, Sonya Deville, Liv Morgan, and The Rock.
I should mention that the Ali figure will have a red attire variant and that Liv Morgan and Sonya Deville are Target exclusives and The Rock is a Walmart exclusive.
What I really love about this wave is how each of the figures look unique from one another and what helps is that many of these figures are debuts in the elite series.
The sculpt, paint and accessories for these figures are absolutely perfect and I love how Mattel has incorporated soft goods into these figures as they don’t limit the articulation.
I would definitely love to get my hands on all these figures though, the exclusive ones will be really difficult to get hold of and not just because I’m based in the UK. As I’ve gone to the US a number of times over the last year or so and I haven’t found all that many of the Target and Walmart exclusives. The only ones that I usually see are NXT Exclusive Rusev and Roman Reign figures in Target.
I have a few more trips planned to the US this year and some trips already planned for next so I have a number of chances to find them and I was very lucky when I went to Louisiana and found the Walmart Exclusive Eric Young figure.
There’s no set release date for these figures but I expect them to be released sometime this summer/fall of this year and are must haves for any WWE Elite collector.
Jason continues to slash his way to store shelves!
Earlier this year NECA revealed that they’ll be releasing an Ultimate Freddy vs Jason Jason Voorhees figure. When I first saw the figure I was very impressed and now that I’ve seen the packaging It’s a must have and I think I’ll be getting more than one.
As you can see Jason comes with three removable interchangeable masks, a clean machete, bloody machete, fire effect for the machetes and a teddy bear. The figure itself is a great update from the original FvJ from the two-pack that was released years ago.
The figure is expected to be released next month so it won’t be too long till we see this on store shelves. This figure is a must-have if your a fan of Jason and/or a fan of Freddy vs Jason.
NECA reveal that they have the Terminator Dark Fate by revealing a Sarah Connor and a T-800 figure from the upcoming film.
I suspected that NECA had the license to Terminator Dark Fate when they shared the trailer reveal on their social media accounts, even though at the time they had no products to show for it.
Now were over a month from SDCC NECA revealed prototype images of the Sarah Connor and T-800 figures from the upcoming film and I don’t doubt we’ll get a better look at these figures at SDCC next month.
Even though these are just prototypes I have to say the likenesses to Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger are absolutely excellent. I really do love the sunglasses head for Sarah Connor it’s such an iconic look. The figures look exactly look their counterparts from the film. What’s really great about these figures is that you can stand these two figures to their Terminator 2 Judgment Day counterparts.
I should mention that these figures will be fully articulated and they’ll come with alternate heads and a small arsenal of weapons each.
At E3 this weekend/week McFarlane Toys had the Doom Slayer from the upcoming Doom Eternal video game which had an event at this years E3. I have to say the prototype looks absolutely fantastic.
The Doom Slayer is 7″ and features 22 points of articulation and features his iconic super shotgun and two interchangeable wrist blades one which will be sheathed and the other one extended . As you can see the armor looks rather different from the Doom(2016) armor.
The figure looks incredibly well detailed and the sculpt is nothing short of terrific. I would really love to see the articulation in action and have to say it sound very promising.
I’ll be very curious to see the future of this line and to see some of the awesome looking demons. Finally I should add that this figure is expected to be released in the September of this year. I would absolutely love to get this figure when it gets released later this year!
Uncanny X-Men figures make their way to the Marvel Legends Line!
At Toy Fair earlier this year you may recall Hasbro revealed a lot of Marvel Legends and a lot of them were mooted for the Vintage Marvel Legends Uncanny X-Men wave. And now Hasbro have revealed the full wave and there’s some figures included in this wave that wasn’t shown at Toy Fair and I have to say this wave looks incredible!
In this wave we’ll be getting:
Jim Lee Storm
Hasbro has shared packaged and unboxed images of these figures and they all look excellent. It’ll be hard for me to take these out of the packaging as I really love the old school card backs they are really the icing on these already excellent looking figures.
I know that a Jim Lee Storm has been hinted at for a while and I have to say she looks perfect, I really love the paint wash on her hair. and the Iceman looks equally impressive. He’ll look good on display with the recent Human Torch figure.
The Silver Samurai will look fantastic on display facing off against each other. I really do love the Outlook Dazzler she’ll look great on display with her classic looking counterpart which is a really underrated figure in my opinion.
All the figures come with their appropriate accessories and I am really happy that Cyclops comes with blast effects an effect piece that’s been missing from other Marvel Legends Cyclops figures for some time. I really do love the base that they’ve given Iceman.
I should mention that this wave is up for pre-order now and will ship in August.
